How to View and Download Azure Usage Details and Invoice Charges

As of October 10, 2022, Microsoft Azure Enterprise Agreement customers can no longer manage their billing accounts in the EA portal and instead must use the Azure portal.

We are frequently asked by customers how to view and download usage reports, marketplace charges, and invoices within Azure. With the deprecation of the EA portal for billing management, organizations with enterprise enrollments now have to access this information within the Azure portal.

In this post, we will provide steps on:

  1. How to view and download Azure subscription usage and charges reports
  2. How to view and download Azure subscription invoice details

View and Download Azure Subscription Usage and Charges Reports

You can download details of your Azure usage and charges within the Azure portal.

Prerequisite:

  • You must be an Account Administrator or Enterprise administrator

These roles are specific to managing Azure Enterprise Agreements and are in addition to the built-in roles Azure has to control access to resources.

To view and download your Azure usage charges:

  • Sign into the Azure portal
  • Search for and select Cost Management + Billing
  • Select a billing profile or billing account
  • In the left pane, within the Billing section, select Usage + charges
  • Choose the month you want to download, and on the far right, select Download
  • On the Download Usage + Charges page, under Usage Details, select All Charges from the dropdown.
  • Click Prepare Document
  • Wait for Azure to prepare your download (it could take a while). When the document is ready for download, a button appears, select Download csv to download your Azure usage report.

To view and download your Marketplace charges:

  • On the Download Usage + Charges page, under Marketplace Store Charge, select Prepare Document.
  • Once the document is ready for download and the button appears, select Download csv to download your Marketplace charges.

View and Download Azure Subscription Invoices

You can review and download your invoice details within the Azure portal.

Prerequisite:

  • You must be an Account Administrator or Enterprise administrator
  • Sign into the Azure portal
  • Search for and select Cost Management + Billing
  • Select a billing profile or billing account
  • In the left pane, within the Billing section, select Invoices
  • Choose the row for the invoice you want to download, select the ellipsis ( . . . ) at the end of the row, select Download
  • Wait for Azure to prepare your download (it could take a while). Once the document is ready for download, the Download button appears/activates, select Download csv to download the invoice.
