Cloud computing is valuable because it can break business applications down into the smallest possible units. The implementation of such segmentation is called microservices. Microservices reduce the necessity of rewriting code, investing in new hardware or overhauling an application or system in order to increase capacity for data. Microservices can scale quickly and efficiently through the addition of more microservices. And because microservices are segmented, failure within one part of an application will not spread into other parts that are maintained by additional microservices.
