Product Reviews
Webroot SecureAnywhere Business - Endpoint Protection - subscription licens is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 50.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use and effective I work for an SMB with a very small IT staff. We needed a product that would 1) protect end user devices no matter where they were, 2) was easy to deploy and maintain and 3) did not put a burden on end device resources. Webroot's protection is most effective. After six months of deploying Webroot, I surveyed users and IT staff asking how often are you dealing with viruses, virus scans, and general slowness with your end devices. The answers were almost unanimous. Once we deployed Webroot, virus protection was not even a thought in users' minds. They never get prompted to update virus definitions and don't have to walk away from their workstation once a scan starts because it takes up too many resources. And most importantly, their laptops are threat free and available for use in productivity all the time. On top of that, my staff noticed a steep decrease in remediation freeing their limited time to take care of other duties.Webroot is very easy to deploy. From creating profiles for different groups or computer types to deploying the .msi file to clients through GPOs or 3rd party solutions. It is simple and straightforward. An added bonus is the ability to deploy profiles based on your Active Directory structure. Not having to purchase an OS license and CALs to stand up a master server saved us cost but also left one less server to update, manage, etc. Overall, when you have a small staff that cannot be dedicated to virus protection and minutes down are dollars lost, Webroot is a product you must have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feeling more secure We have moved on from Legacy endpoint protection that didn't really work because endpoints were not up to date, the agent was very clunky and the agent had a large impact on some of our endpoints. Since moving to webroot and carrying out an initial audit period I haven't had to intervene in any way, and it has been picking up multiple issues. So it is saving allot of support hours that would have been used micro managing AV.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unmatched Protection Webroot has grown from software that I once considered bloatware from a big box store to the gold standard in antivirus / malware protection. They have developed game changing technology that keeps malicious software from doing real damage to a network. I consider them the first line of defense in a comprehensive package that comprises the security offering to my managed services clients. I regularly brag to them and often reassure them that Webroot has them covered against the latest threats before they are even created.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thanks, from a small business owner Our setup is 3 stores with about 30 users. We are not large enough to have an IT department so I'm it. Our previous deployment was pretty much a mix. Some PC's with Avast free, AVG free, windows defender, some with Kaspersky licenses, and some with nothing, including 1 server. i get the usual calls from staff saying "I have a popup that says I'm out of date, what do i do" which i always reply just ignore but 2 years will pass or more with out action. It;s hard to drive from store to store to maintain them with my normal job duties. Webroot took me time to do the initial install but I am now worry free of messages telling my staff to update nor do I have to physically be on site to attend to them. I have my web portal to see any issues or run override scans and keep my licensing all in 1 place. Also, with Kaspersky I could never remote desktop into a user to fix other software issues unless it was disabled on site. Kaspersky is a great product but held me back from a couple of things I needed to do and I wasn't tech savvy enough to configure it. I tried to allow it but failed. I have not had any issues with Webroot preventing me from doing normal operations. The scans are blazing fast. I like the ability for users to not be able to access the local interface, its pretty much on auto pilot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Job Easy to install and fast to install. I see no performance degradation at all on my system. It is like I do not have a virus protection on the system. It is that smooth.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not work well with anything Apple. Not worth what I'm spending The mobile device security has failed me twice when I needed it most. User's devices were stolen and we could not remote wipe or locate, thus causing me to lose a customer. Additionally, users are able to disable the software on both iOS and Mac OS X, thus negating the purpose of even having the software. The mobile protection loses connectivity after a couple days and I eventually have to pay a tech to go out to the field and try and resync the software, costing me more money. I paid for the 1 year service up front, but stopped using most of it well in advance since I know they won't refund the product. It does work great on Windows to be fair.
