Product Reviews
SIIG USB 2.0 to VGA Pro external video adapter - DisplayLink DL-165 is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 32.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from I had another docking station that require my devices to have a port connector under it which sits on the docking, with this new docking station I don't need a laptop with this port connector which gives me more flexibility to purchase/mount a wider range of devices.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This gives us ports and charging, but it does not allow for pass-through Ethernet which completely disables our vPro connections. otherwise, it seems to work very well. However, Interfering with vPro is a big hurdle to get past.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I recently got the Targus 4K e-dock and used this to replace a old Anker e-dock. I have a Dell laptop with 2 additional monitors and the installation was very simple. A quick download of the drivers and the dock was up and running with no issues.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I recieved a Targus Dock 160, I replaced my Dell E-Series Dock. ConsIn comparison to a Dell E-Series Dock I lost the external power button and power pass through. ProsSmallerWedge shape allows for more clearance under the laptop and now laptop runs coolerI am able to connect not only my Dell laptop but my Lenovo Laptop as well without problemsSetup was very easy, plug everything in and turn on laptop, Windows 10 handles the rest of the setupTargus docking station, actually more useful than the USB 3.1 Dell docking stations we have, the "uplink" connection on the Targus is on the back, allows for clean routing of cables where the Dell docking stations are hardwired out the side which looks untidy.Overall this docking station is more useful for me as it allows connection of more than just Dell laptops. Definately recommend this product,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Received the Dell UltraHD 4K USB 3.0 Docking Station (D3100) in the dock a week giveaway and I'm very impressed. The device itself has a really small footprint, only taking up a small amount of space on the desk and looks the part being discretely tucked away in the corner. It's got a nice heavy feel and solid build.Connectivity is brilliant, I've got two 1080p monitors connected with room for a third. The multiple USB ports and network make it a joy to connect everything in one place and the 3 front facing USB ports mean you aren't constantly fumbling around the back to plug something in.Installation of the driver was really easy and I'm glad to see that there wasn't a huge variety of drivers to choose from on the driver download site...just select the operating system and download the latest driver...simple! It would probably have installed itself if I hadn't installed the drivers beforehand.I'm running it on Windows 10 and have Replaced a Toshiba Dynadock U3.0. The smoothness on the displays seems to be a lot better than the Toshiba and everything seems to be a bit more responsive. All in all a fantastic product and will be a reliable addition to my desk setup. We've already got a second one in the office as we were so impressed with it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It is ridiculous how easy the super-cheap DL-3000 made life for the average techie. I just deleted a massive rant about Matrox still pushing us TripleHead2Go which rarely work without custom resolutions to get over 1680*1050, hacky drivers and mis-matching firmware. Sometimes I literally FORGET to install displaylink drivers. We have an office with 32 laptops, and people can go to a boardroom, plug-in their BYOD laptop, and 2 minutes later Windows 10 has just installed and configured the display-link drivers AUTOMATICALLY and it JUST WORKS. The fact that they didn't stop there and now they have chips to run multi-4k setups and all kinds of docks with simple-installation just shows that DisplayLink just knows how to keep pushing the limits of display connectivity solutions

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Some of the adapters I used seemed a bit flaky at first, but continuously updated drivers seemed to improve performance and stability. They worked well enough to provide an output for a third monitor for our laptop docks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from i have several Displaylink devices in use in my environment. Most of them are older 2.0 devices but they still do exactly what I need them to do. Extend the display capabilities of the systems they are connected to. I have a Dell Venue 11 Pro that has one connected to the Dell dock to display to a second 23" monitor so the system has 3 working displays, two 23" monitors and the Venue display.
