Product Reviews
Linksys EA9500 - wireless router - 802.11a/b/g/n/ac - desktop is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 254.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Router,Bad firmware update This router is great if you restore to previous firmware, Firmware version 1.1.7.177204 is terrible, It cause my usb 3.0 port to stop working, and my ping went down to 30 mbps, I restored firmware back to 1.1.7.175339 and now my usb 3.0 port is working and my ping went up to 10 mbps. I found this out from a You Tube poster

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unable to Keep Wireless Connection I've been a fan of Linksys products for many year. I purchased this router a little over a week past and I've been nothing but frustrated with the connection. As quickly as I connect via wireless, I also lose connection. The router did an update of the firmware when I did the setup so unsure if it is tied to that. I'm seriously considering returning to the place or purchase. I put my WRT1900 back to work and it's working just fine. I was hoping for better coverage with the new router as I have a dead spot in my home. I would still recommend Linksys products to those who ask, just not this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gread Router I bought this router to be sure that I had complete coverage in my house. It is a little expensive but the ease of setup and the signal strength are worth it. There are no dropped connections. It took about 5 minutes to get completely set up and adding devices is quick and easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Router System!! The EA9500 paired with the RE7000 extender is seamless in my home. I always have 5 bars and it is proving reliable not requiring periodic reboot. Love the software that allows me to get into admin settings away from home. Easy to setup with one note of caution. I had to release & renew IPV4 when I changed the router name as I lost access to the internet. This is a better system than my Netgear R8000 w extender. The router itself is sturdy and well made. Highly recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Linksys EA9500 High end router is Garbage!!!! I really tried to give this router a chance but after two months of intermittent routing issues between between wireless channels I decided to return it. For a high end router at this price point, it has no real capabilities beyond providing wireless coverage and of course 8 LAN ports. No openvpn support, no jumbo frame support (which killed my NAS backups), no way to configure netbios name, etc. there was just nothing special about it. I will admit that the wireless coverage it provided was outstanding but that's about the only good thing I can say about it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best WiFi router to date This is the best of Linksys to date. I have upgraded as an early adopter of Linksys products for years and this one provides bandwidth and speeds needed for wireless 4KHD streaming seamlessly. I expect that I will invest in Velop soon as well, but will discuss with techs at Linksys. This unit allowed me to pull the plug on cable TV (and home phone that I never use) and save $150 a month. Thank you Linksys/Cisco for such a great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great router This is a great product replacement of the net gear that I had. The range is far greater in my older home

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Died at about 6 months I bought this router thinking it would be my last router for a while it was great for the first approximate 6 months I had it until it just recently lost power and won't even turn on. (No lights or anything come up) Very dissatisfied and about to go back to netgear where I've never had a problem
