Product Reviews
Linksys EA9500 - wireless router - 802.11a/b/g/n/ac - desktop is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 268.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this router Replaced a different well known top of the line router with this one and things are a lot better. All these little issues like ip cameras dropping off and on and slow web page loads have gone away. Never thought the router was the problem till I got this one and all those little issues have gone away. UI for this router is nice. I love it. Happy as I can be. Oh yeah.. the eight ether ports are great. Was able to direct some key hardware and eliminate a switch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy installation and strong product Have used Linksys for many years and always be satisfied with their ease of installation, this was similarly as simple. As I was looking for, this product offered and delivered on the latest security protocols, greater throughput and supports more simultaneous active connections. Accessing configuration via my smart phone while a nice feature, I'm not sure I will be using as I'm not a fan of the small screen for that function. Overall, this is a great product!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid product, if you know how to operate it. Depending on your setup, it could be a little tricky. Tech support was a little confused, but internet research and a little patience saved the day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of router Much more of a router than I needed. Haven't figured out how to use the mumo fearures yet. I purchased this on because it was the best and baddest model on the shelf. HUGE BONUS, Built in 8 port gigabit router!! To bad that option isn't available on their lower end models.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Router If you have an extremely fast broadband connection and want an all-powerful home network, the Linksys EA9500 fits the bill. But a different router with more modest specs will satisfy most.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from amazing range I was looking for a fast router with excellent range which is exactly what I got. Not only do we get full range throughout the house we also get full speed wirelessly as we do connected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to set up I bought the router about a month ago and I love it. I had the AC8350 before I bought the EA9500 and it was similar but it wasn't a smart router. The EA9500 has so many more neat features and was so easy to set up. I set it for auto upgrade which it did immediately and had absolutely no problems getting it set up. In order to access the router you cannot use the "Linksys Connect" software but instead you just type in linksyssmartwifi.com in the address bar of your browser. Once on the page you simply follow the directions from the fast set up guide that comes with the router and set up your own user name and password. All your devices are set up with your old router so you simply need to is set up your devices with the new EA9500 router which is very easy to find (it will come up with whatever you name you gave to your EA9500). This is one of the neat features, on your linksyssmartwifi.com page, one of the options is called a network map. All of your devices come up on the map, it shows a picture and the name of your router in the middle and a picture and name of all your devices encircled around it to include whether you connected them using 5GHz or 2.4GHz. Also you can rename your devices if it happens to be a generic device such as your echo dot or nameless or unidentified printer. The router access page also has so many other features such as parental controls, speed test, guest access, external storage and many more. The designers of the router and software experts did a fantastic job. Another great feature that I really love is that you can install the Linksys app on your smart phone and have complete access to your router. For example if you are not at home you can open the app and it tells you what devices are accessing your router and if your children are not suppose to be on their tablet or computer you can disable their connection from wherever you are. This router is a workhorse and it doesn't bog down no matter how many devices are connected and streaming videos or surfing the web or whatever you may be doing. I am so happy that I upgraded and extremely satisfied with the purchase of my new EA9500. It's definitely worth the investment for peace of mind of the awesome security, password protected guest access, excellent speed with no buffering times while streaming videos even while so many devices are connected and in use at the same time and the ease of use. I haven't had any problems and I would encourage anyone that is hesitating to spend the money to upgrade to the EA9500, I think you will be happy with your investment. In this day and age everything is going smart, smart phones, smart TV's, I even have a smart bed base that controls message and head and leg lift functions and of course the smart router EA9500 router to bring everything together in one easy to use app that performs second to none in my opinion.
