Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Router No Cons all Pros! I've tried he Nighthawk X10 and thought t would be the best out there. Returned (2) of them and got this router and never looked back. Blazing fast with plenty of bandwidth! January 2, 2017
Rated 1 out of 5 by Horrible, slow, unstable, just a terrible router The connection speed is terrible, and constantly disconnects. 5ghz band is super unstable with frequent disconnects.Standing 3 feet from the router nets terrible connection speeds on any band.My airport extreme(2014), upstairs across the house through a floor gets a better signal.Tested with three laptops, and two phones. Rated 5 out of 5 by FAST RELIABLE AND APIECE OF CAKE TOUSE I purchased this router via Amazon in the middle of last month after considerable research. I also took advantage of a flash sale for 1/3 off the standard price. I am very pleased I acted when I did. This is a fabulous router. Since placing it on line - which was a breeze - my home network performance has been remarkable. NO more loading delays, local playback using the WD Personal Cloud via TV or PC is like cable performance, network strength has improved about 10 dbm0, adding in an access point and DD-WRT client bridge has been fast and remarkably reliable, we have 22 clients on our network and all work without complaint, and there have not been any noticeable dropouts attributable to the AC5400 (according to a dropout monitor) on line 7/24. To be fair, my key network components are on a UPS and 60Gb ISP bandwidth, which clearly helps. As far as I'm concerned, this is a terrific product for the price. December 30, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by will be returning i will be returning it i do love the EA9500 but it is not for me i find the range of the router not any better or this about the same then the old one i had so i will be returning itwhere do i need to ship it back too ? December 30, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome coverage This router replaces an older model Linksys which needed an extender. This one gives me full wifi coverage inside and outside the house! December 27, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Cryptic and Brittle External Drive Connection Router function is good, but setting up the external Drive was very confusing and flacky to set up. Turned power off on my IOSafe G3 to move power cable and it crashed the router and it longer sees the drive. Apparently code is poorly written and not fault tolerant with adding drives. User interface for other features is good but share drive function and set up is confusing and not commensurate with a $400 piece of hardware. December 24, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice hardware. The wifi performance of this device is very good. It has solved my throughput and distance issues in our large ranch home. The band steering appears to work and we don't experience any disconnects. This is not our primary router so I currently run the device in bridge mode. This disables all the 'smart' features which I really dislike. I do wish the firmware would either:A. Allow the default route to be added to the LAN network when the router is configured in router mode and the WAN network is left disconnected (Cascading LAN to LAN).orB. Don't disable all of the smart features when in bridge mode. We shouldn't lose access to *all* smart features, only those which require a router. December 23, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Good Router The best router I have ever bought from Linksys, very fast and reliable December 22, 2016
