Product Reviews

Rated 3 out of 5 by Awesome features and great improvement, but.... I recently purchase this unit because of the reviews and it's indeed, a great improvement over my old WRT54g. However, I was disappointed on it guess network feature. As long as you don't enable MAC filtering option, the guess network feature works great. I use MAC filtering option on my unit and as long as its enable, I would also have to add my guess MAC address into the table. I was hoping to eliminate this extra function with this unit. The whole purpose of the guess network (at least to my understanding) is not to allow guess from having access to your local network - only for the internet connection. I use MAC filtering as an added security measure. So, I have a choice. Either disable MAC filtering option and have a guess network or enable MAC filtering and have no guess network... Disappointed. There are other AP's out there that has the same performance for lesser price. Seriously thinking of returning this device. October 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great features I bought this router in September 2016. It's a charm for everything: easy set up, smart Linksys wi fi is great, individual networks are awesome, lightning fast download. I have not explored all of its capabilities yet which I believe there are many more. Until now this router is the best for me so far. October 5, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic Router! Got this router just over a week ago and it has transformed our household. We always had problems getting a strong WiFi single throughout the house. This is no longer a problem with this router, we get the maximum speed our ISP provides all over the house, awesome router! The surpassing part is I even get a full signal in my workshop alongside the house. So while it is an expensive router it is well worth the expense! October 2, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Linksys EA 9500 has excellent range. I have been using my Linksys router for about 3 weeks now and it has been fantastic! It has great range and a great remote app that lets you control your network while you're away from home. I am definitely recommending this router to family and friends. September 28, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great coverage This has a ton of coverage. Important thing to note though: this router will not make your wifi faster. It will spread you wifi further. So if you're far away, you will still be able to receive wifi. This also has 3 band s which allow more devices to download and upload faster (you're 5ghz band won't get overloaded as easily). This is a great router and I recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality router with great coverage distance. September 27, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by This is a Beast I was looking for the latest and greatest router and i found this Linksys EA9500. This is the baddest router on the planet. Setup was a piece a cake from the app or online. I used to have an extender and with this monster, I dont need to use the extender anymore. I have more than 30 devices connected to this router and I am very happy with the performance. I would highly recommend it. September 27, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Increase in speed I purchased this router to increase my wireless speed and I am very disappointed that the speed is the same as my old Linksys router. I am running over 800 mbs on hardwire but only about 25-30 mbs on wireless. September 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Over the top performance I have been using the Linksys EA9500 for 3+ months now because I wanted the router to pass the “test of time” before writing a review. I have experienced no problems with the router since putting it into service in late April. Set-up was very easy and all hardware has been operating flawlessly since installation. We run multiple computers, smart phones, smart tv’s in our home which may, at any given time, be streaming video's (hi-def) or music, downloading or uploading files, programs or playing games. I would rate our wireless usage as moderate. Our wireless plan calls for 55Mbps (down), and 6 Mbps (up) and the routers through put is dead on (see picture) with test being conducted about 25 ft. away and NOT in the line of sight. This router is very large compared to the EA6500 that was originally in service, that being said it is an impressive looking router that is sure to spark conversation amongst your tech savvy friends. In the end, the router has been rock solid over the past 3+ months and has more than enough capacity to handle the ever increasing demands of today’s wireless environment.
