The MAX-STREAM AC1900 Multi User-MIMO Router offers two dedicated Wi-Fi bands that deliver combined speeds of up to 1.9 Gbps. Users can manually assign high-bandwidth Wi-Fi activities such as 4K video streaming and online gaming to the high-speed 5 GHz band, while assigning older Wi - Fi devices and activities to the 2.4 GHz band.

MU-MIMO (Multi-User, Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output) technology ensures uninterrupted simultaneous Wi-Fi connections to devices such as HD streaming media players, 4K TVs, tablets, and game consoles. Multiple devices receive high-speed Wi-Fi at the same time and same speed. Your family can access the Internet at the same time without experiencing lag or buffering - at up to 2x the speed of a non-MU-MIMO router.

Enjoy fast-paced Wi-Fi activities such as online multiplayer gaming with the MAX-STREAM AC1900. Powered by a 1.4 GHz dual-core processor, it is capable of handling three simultaneous data streams, delivering improved Wi-Fi performance and faster Wi-Fi speeds to more devices.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Nice interface but Parental Controls Broken. This was a replacement unit after parental controls did not work as expected on the first one. The situation is the same with the second one. If a computer is logged on and surfing the internet, then manually switching on parental controls or scheduled turning on will not work. In all other respects this seems like a great product - fast enough and strong connections However, I bought it for its parental control and its interface which seemed more refined. October 15, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Extremely easy to install While I have some knowledge of computers, I am no expert. When I decided to update my 8 year old router, I had some trepidation about how long it would take and how many problems I would have. However, by actually reading the instructions and following them as written, I was able to install this new router in less than 10 minutes without any problems! The signal strength is also better than my old router. October 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy set up I have had other Lynksys routers in the past and was amiliar with the set up.With all connected, I entered the supplied password, but was rejeted. So I puhed the button on the back of the router. It then found my laptop and and followed the prompts.I named my system the same as my last (with the same password) and al my other devices linked as though nothing had occurred. My laptop is a HP w/ AC wireless. I had some problems with "hang ups" - laptop said it was connected to network, but was not - had to manually disconnect and reconect to router. That has not happened since the new router. Internet seems faste. And I usually have 4-5 sessions open ad any given time.Great upgrade. October 10, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Unreliable This has been my worst experience ever with a Linksys router. I had an older version but wanted to update to AC. BIG MISTAKE! My dlink cameras continually drop out and my smart TV that was kept on the guest account can no longer log into the guest account. It has been nothing but frustrating and aggravating. October 2, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Much Better Range Purchased this router about a month ago upgrading from an older router. The range of this router much better covering every room in my house. It also is much faster and utilizes my 40mbps internet service making streaming very smooth without buffering. September 27, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent product... excellent support If you are new to installing any router you must know the basics.. Setup can be simple or complex and WiFi setup is not hard, but connecting into an existing network takes some planning. Then getting client devices attached can be easy to difficult.. This router provides a great user interface with well organized menu structure. Messing around, I somehow really messed it up. I factory reset the router and was unable to use it thinking it had died. I called Linksys Tech support and was on hold for about 20 minutes. Finally a tech answered the phone who patiently made me again reset the router, and access router via a static IP address. The tech even voluntarily wanted me to set up the 2 WiFi services and verify they were properly accessible. With now having a static IP address for the router, I can access the router from my PC to make changes (rather than using the Web Site option). Not that the Web Site option is bad, but direct IP access eliminates network issues and is more responsive. Bottom line is I got off to a rough start with a great product, and the gal at Linksys was exceptionally helpful. September 25, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by EA1900 Mu Mimo great dual band router I purchased the Linksys router about a month ago, set up easily with manual setup. Has great range, clear signal, allows for both 2.4ghz and too 5ghz. Serves my needs fine and I appreciate I am able to control how many devices are allowed on the primary setting, able to add up to 50 devices. September 19, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Speed and DLNA/NAS Support I will try to post my review on this router by using numbers whenever possible, because most users would probably get more succinct info out of actual numbers than a descriptive account of the device. This feedback and all the test results I have cited here are real and noted from actual tests I performed myself.Speed:I have decent high speed internet (130-160 Mbps DL on Ethernet directly attached to my cable modem), and I had been using Netgear R6300 prior to this, and was generally happy with it.I live in a single family, 2-storey house, and speeds that I consistently got with the R6300 was about 90-100 Mbps when in "line of sight" with the router. 60-70 Mbps when in the corners of the house like laundry room etc. With the LinkSys EA7500, I am now getting 115-130 Mbps when in "line of sight" with the router. 85-100 Mbps when in the corners. That's on average about 35% better performance than the R6300. So yes, this router will blast an average sized house with WiFi connectivity.Concurrent connectivity/Stress test:Most of the time, my router will be concurrently supporting 20-30 devices. On the EA7500 I have noticed up to 25 devices, including IP Cams, VoIPs, Media devices, TVs, phones, tablets, watches, computers, game consoles and printers.I have a 2TB external HDD with all my videos, pictures and music on it attached directly to the EA7500. Thus I have a DLNA server on my network which won't be using up my PC resources. (I used to run Plex on my desktop for this purpose).I have had 6 devices play high definition video simultaneously, from different sources like Amazon, Netflix, Youtube and DLNA content without any glitches or hiccups whatsoever. So not only do you get a faster connection, it does seem that the EA7500 does an excellent job when serving up multiple devices consuming large amounts of data concurrently as well.DLNA/File-sharing/ftp server:You can set up your router to expose your external HDD in a variety of ways:1. It can be a DLNA server like I was describing above.2. It can be exposed as a file-server. (Just map it as a network location on your PC)3. It can be exposed as an ftp server to securely access the files over the internet using a standard browser/ftp client. There is a USB 3.0 port, so if you have a HDD that supports USB 3.0, you can have a really fast NAS (Network attached storage)! (There is a USB 2.0 port too, of course). My HDD is an older one and supports only USB 2.0, but I can still simultaneously stream HD movies onto multiple devices using Twonky, VLC etc. or directly on my Smart TV. (Basically any device that will see and play DLNA content).I also have the HDD as a mapped network location on all my computers, so that I can quickly share files across devices. You can also set up your favorite backup utility to backup important content from all your computers to this external HDD connected to your EA7500. That way everything is centrally available.Overall impression:I can definitely say that the switch-over to this router has shown dramatic speed improvements for me. In addition to speed and coverage improvements, being able to attach an external HDD and have it stream high quality media to my devices and having my personal little "cloud" service has been tremendously useful. If you are looking for powerful WiFi coverage all across your house/office without using extenders and such, and also if you want to centralize all your media and/or documents to access them from various devices on your network and even over the internet, this router is for you.
