Low-voltage devices, like the Vertiv Avocent HMX and Vertiv Avocent Matrix High Performance KVM Switching System, often require the use of external power supplies. The Vertiv Avocent Rackmount Power Supply Unit (RMPSU) delivers the same reliability as Avocent's traditional power solutions but with economies of scale and convenience that aren't possible with external power supplies. Whether, the requirement is adding new capability or optimizing current space in the rack, the RMPSU makes it easy to add or relocate systems without the need to manage external power supplies.
Features include:
- EFFICIENT MANAGEMENT: The customer can manage the Avocent RMPSU’s temperature, fan speed, and current down to the port. It can even integrate with third-party management tools through REST API.
- SCALABILITY: There is no need for individual power supplies for each unit. Power all your low-voltage devices. Cable converters available for 12V to 5V conversions.
- EFFICIENT POWER DISTRIBUTION: Available with one or two hot-swappable power modules. Dual module configurations balance the power load across both modules. A single power module is rated at 500,000 hours MTBF and can easily meet the needs of sixteen ports.
- PERIPHERAL CONNECTIONS: 1 x RJ45 for 10/100 Ethernet connection.
