A New Dimension of Storage

Ready for your high performance computing needs, a WD Blue 3D NAND SATA SSD offers high capacity, enhanced

reliability, and blazing speed.

High capacity with enhanced reliability

A WD Blue 3D NAND SATA SSD uses 3D NAND technology not only for higher capacities (up to 2TB) than the

previous generation WD Blue SSDs, but also to help reduce cell-to-cell interference for enhanced reliability.

Enhanced power efficiency

Offering improved endurance, a WD Blue 3D NAND SATA SSD features an active power draw up to 25% lower than

previous generations of WD Blue SSDs. And with less power used, you're able to work longer before recharging your

laptop.

Superior performance for high-end computing

For high-end computing applications like gaming, HD media playback, or creative software, look to WD Blue 3D NAND SATA

SSDs. 3D NAND technology helps enable sequential read speeds up to 560MB/s and sequential write speeds up to 530MB/s

for fast system boot-ups, quick application responses, and rapid transfer speeds.

WD Blue 3D NAND SATA SSD WDS250G2B0A - SSD - 250 GB - SATA 6Gb/s is rated 4.60 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from WD Blue Hard drive This solid state drive is a good performer. It let the laptop boot in less than a minute compared to the old mechanical hard drive. A real value for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice SSD replacements Used the SSD hard drives to replace regular 250gb ones in registers. They worked good for what we were looking for, which was speeding up the checkout process. Install for two of them were a bit tricking, but we ended up figuring it out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I have deployed these into my environment in over 35 workstations. Knock on wood, not one has failed and worked as expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must have upgrade ! Replaced the stock Hitachi hard drive in my MacBook Pro with the Western Digital SSD and my boot time dropped from 76 seconds to 29 seconds. As well, all my apps now load in under 2 seconds and shutdown is 4 seconds. Extremely pleased with the performance upgrade. Cant really tell much difference on battery drain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazingly affordable SSD to revive older computers Stop using HDDs! That is all I really need to say when it comes to refreshing your older enterprise computers. If your machine has any "newer" i-series Intel processor (even i3s!), destroy that HDD and throw it in the trash. I have refreshed about 20 older Dell E5530s (circa-2011ish) and they are perfectly capable, fast machines now that I have removed those dinosaur HDDs and replaced them with this WD SSD. Western Digital has been my go-to storage since I was a nerd in school building my gaming PCs and now that they bought SanDisk and entered the SSD ring, I will continue to do so for cheaper reliable SSDs. Not everyone needs a Samsung Evo 950 or an M.2 NVMe unless they are doing some serious crunching. Your average user can't tell the speed difference between an i3 and an i5, they definitely won't see the difference between an SSD and NVMe. They WILL see the difference between an HDD and an SSD. Do them a favor and toss those HDDs when you can buy an SSD for $50(!).
