Intelligent, line-interactive network power management system

Tripp Lite's SMART1000RM2U intelligent, line-interactive sine wave rack/tower uninterruptible power supply prevents data loss, downtime and equipment damage due to power outages, voltage fluctuations and transient surges. Requires only two rack spaces (2U) in a standard rack enclosure. Large internal batteries offer 21 minutes half load runtime and 9 minutes at full load. Maintains regulated 120V nominal output without using battery power during brownouts and overvoltages from 83 to 147V. 1,000VA / 700 watt power handling capability and full time sine wave output supports networking, telecom and other sensitive electronic applications. Includes a total of 6 outlets arranged in 2 load banks that are individually controllable via software interface to reboot select equipment on demand or automatically shed less significant loads to extend battery runtime for more critical equipment. Supports simultaneous remote monitoring of UPS and site power conditions via built-in network accessory card slot, USB and DB9 serial monitoring ports. Optional SNMPWEBCARD accessory enables remote monitoring of UPS as a managed device via network management console applications. Communications ports support messaging of detailed UPS operating parameters and line power status. Includes PowerAlert UPS monitoring and unattended shutdown software with management support for an unlimited number of network UPS systems. Free PowerAlert enterprise management software is also available for select opportunities. Built-in accessory slot supports SNMP with optional SNMPWEBCARD adapter. Emergency Power Off (EPO) interface offers option for instantaneous power-off of UPS and connected equipment in the case of fire or emergency. Multi-function audible alarms and set of 5 front panel LEDs offer at-a-glance notification of UPS and line power status. Network-grade AC surge suppression protects equipment from damage and performance problems resulting from transient surges and line noise. Attractive all-black color scheme. Two year warranty with $250,000 connected equipment insurance (USA & Canada only).

Warranty information and instruction manual
Tripp Lite UPS 1000VA 800W Line Interactive Sine Wave 120V Rack/Tower 2U is rated4.77 out of5 by13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best price to performance we could findWe run about 50 of these in remote locations to keep the network gear up over short power drops. The price point is good for a UPS and network card. The SNMPWEBcard is ok, better than some, worse than others. The big issue we have is about 50% of the time when the battery goes bad it brings down the UPS. They seem incapable of going into a bypass mode so half the time when the battery dies the location goes down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smart Pro 1U Good Choice for small data racks/cabinetsWe purchased 7 of these units for the data racks spread throughout the campus. They are prefect for the one or two devices in the racks. The relatively short depth of the units allows for flexibility as some of the racks have limited depth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable ProtectionBought 4 of these to protect switches and PC's. Worked great for both personal use and customer installs. They have already protected me numerous times during brown outs and electric meter exchanges performed by electric company.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replacement Rack UPSOne of our APC units died for the second time in 2 months. I was recommended this unit by my Zones Rep and so far so good.My only complaint is it did not ship with an option to mount on square 4 post server rack mounts...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beware of the cost of the network card.I bought the UPS to protect a small rack with 2 POE switches. We have our POE surveillance cameras on one switch and our POE SIP telephones on the other switch. The UPS is compact and reasonably priced. Unfortunately the network card for the UPS costs more than the UPS itself. I can buy a laptop and connect it via USB to the UPS for less money than the cost of a Tripp Lite network card. Something is wrong with that pricing model. The UPS does it's job but I have to hang a laptop off of it to monitor it remotely.
