Synology Disk Station DS1618+ - NAS server is rated4.50 out of5 by2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really stellar performanceWe purchased this model over the slightly lesser model, the DS1517+, and I absolutely do not regret it. Setup is intuitive and easy, and Synology's support is absolutely phenomenal. The hardware itself is also very sturdy and low profile, and offers a ridiculous number of options.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent NASI have had this unit in service for about a week, functioning as a ISCSI host for vmWare vSphere for testing and development. In a weeks time there have been no issues with the device, access to it, or any issues related to storage. I use 2 of the 4 network interfaces, and have not found that to be a limitation for what I am doing. A week of use is not a lot to write a review, but I did have Drobo's die after a day, so this one has lasted longer. I did not rate the liability for short amount of time I have used, I might revise this next year. The availability of apps that run on the SAN to provide services will have my attention once the vSphere testing is concluded.
