I can't wait to finally get one through Samsung I love this product and I will cherish it once I have it in my hands I've heard the gaming experiences enhanced it helps with college classes it helps with getting two things done at once and I think that it will be the next gateway and or stair step to the future of telephones but I am a professional yellow book critic and I'd like a Galaxy 4G on the house if you can I'll promote and get all kinds of sales point blank period give me a chance I can do that

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointing warranty. After limited use and 10 months of owning this phone the inner LCD started to bubble, became unresponsive and then went blank. Sure no problem it's under warranty right? I sent it to Samsung and after a week they sent it back saying it wasn't under warranty however no one could tell me why. But no worries, we're happy to sell you a z-fold 5 for an additional $800. It was also returned without my SIM card tray which makes the phone unusable.. There was a sticker next to a small nic on the front edge of the phone which happened before I put a case on it the first two weeks of owning the phone. I assume this is what they are using as an excuse. A local technician's opinion was this has nothing to do with the internal screen that failed nine months later. I have since talked to other owners who share similar experience. The phone is a brick, fragile, and easily scratched. Get yourself a good case, of course that makes it almost too large to carry around.. Get the best additional warranty you can if you decide to purchase this phone because trying to deal with Samsung is tough , 14 phone calls over 3 weeks with the same script every time and still no answer to my question. They will send you a text but won't respond to it when you tell them to go ahead and fix the phone.. Now They have my credit card info and hopefully repairing the phone however still can't tell me if they will fix the inner screen, return my SIM card tray, and also fix the small nick on the front that they claim has voided the warranty. Really disappointing considering at the time I bought the most expensive phone they sold thinking it would be worth it.

I ha e now moved back to samsung and for good reason. This phone is amazing. It makes work easy. I love the outer display and the inner. The battery lasts me all day every day (even with the battery protect mode on) Love the quality of this phone and the ease of use. Especially after being on iPhone for almost a decade. Well done samsung you have recaptured my business ?? only thing I don't like is the pen falls out of the spen case. I have wrapped a piece of tape around the pen and this has seemed to have sorted this. But for a $99 I expected better. The phone is amazing though. If your thinking of getting one just get it!

Low and behold price for my student discount was better and even with a free memory upgrade. Of course Samsung customer did nothing to help and told me I had to just live with my decision stating that it was pass 15 day grace period. I could have saved money and received the 512gb device for the same price. Next time I'll go with my guy. Customer service from Samsung is beyond bad. They don't care for customers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love everything, but the hearing aid connection So I had the z fold 4 and loved it and than an incident happened and I had to do insurance on it. Well they replaced it with the z fold 5. I am still learning everything about it, my only issue I have with it is that I have hearing aids. I had to buy an audio clip to have hands free. Which I got the hearing aids when I had the 4. Without going into a long drawn out explanation, my z 5 and my audio clip are not working together and I have to hold the phone up to my mouth so whoever I'm talking to can hear me.

The only slight disappointment is the battery feels like it lasts about the same as my last Flip. Which is most of the day with light to moderate usage, no gaming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Polished, and a joy to use I work as a UX designer at a major tech company, and I gotta say, Samsung's folding phones (especially one as polished as the Fold 5) really nail the "joy to use" principle. Unfolding the phone to that gorgeous interior screen (regardless of whether it's to view a beautiful photo or read a PDF) is just a a magical moment that they've really refined with quality hardware and software (I upgraded from the Fold 3, and the subtle differences in experience really add up). I deeply appreciate the care taken to balance the experience of the inner and outer screens. I thought the aspect ratio on the inner screen of the 3 was perfect (I'm full convinced the portrait aspect ratio is a better default to open to--I'm happy to turn the phone sideways for watching videos since the speakers as optimized that way anyway, but portrait is so much better for reading), but the outer screen was just a *touch* too skinny to be comfortable. The subtle change of aspect ratio in the 4 & 5 didn't significantly impact my experience of the inner screen, but the extra space it gave for the outer screen is perfect. It's perfectly useable for all of the normal phone things, and has a lot of the benefits of a small phone. This thing fits in my hand and pocket WAY better than my larger Pixel 6 Pro. So to me, the current aspect ratio is absolutely the best of both worlds, and as much as I love Pixels, I won't even consider a Pixel Fold until they release a version that uses a aspect ratio more similar to Samsung's. I love my Pixel 6 Pro, but this thing is gonna be my daily driver for a while! The hardware and folding experience are just too good.

Very disappointing that the S Pen does not come standard, and the one that comes with the Samsung case has LESS functionality than the S Pen for my S22 Ultra! You cannot use the S Pen to take a photo and it only works on the main screen! Its also extremely disappointing that the camera on the Z Fold 5 is LESS than the camera on the S 22 Ultra. There are few customizations that are available for the Fold 5. When you consider the price tag is almost $500 more than the Ultra, the value is not there and the phone isnt all that great. Not sure if Im gonna keep the phone for that price, but I have a few days left to use and discover it.

I like the call system, the apps, the feel, processor quality and speed, and the extra space. The drawback, well, the phone is a little heavy/bulky with the weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Phone, Mini Tablet that is worth considering When Samsung released the Galaxy Z Fold 3 I had the opportunity of checking it out at a T-Mobile store. I was impressed with look and feel; but the folding hinge felt like it was an unfinished product . Fast forward two years later (2023), I decided to start looking at the pre-release videos of the Galaxy Z Fold 5. I usually don't buy early releases of phones; but I was excited about the Galaxy Z Fold 5. I wanted to experience a foldable phone. I know that most people hate the front screen; but it's all about unfolding it and using the larger inner display; which is amazing. I'm not big on picture taking so the cameras are not a deal breaker. Battery life is fine while using as my daily driver. I am not on my phone every minute of the day. I enjoy watching YouTube videos, reading emails, texts, etc. I have no regrets trading in my Galaxy S23 Ultra for the Galaxy Z Fold 5. Change is good.

I love the screen once its unfolded, its like having a mini laptop! I use the full screen mostly for social media apps, but I can also actually see everything! The screen is beautiful and all graphics are sharp abd detailed! My husband loves his for his games and watching football whenever he wants and not be limited to a regular size phone screen! I dont think we hae discovered all this phone can do, but as long time Samsung users, its the best phone ever!

Then I tried to return the phone in and was told even though I had it less than two weeks it could not be exchanged I had no choice but to purchase a second phone twice in two weeks never again

But I am rating it a 4 star because of the following cons: The outer screen cover is not wide enough to ease texting or replying of messages. The S-Pen is still not incorporated on the phone even when we know that Samsung has the capability to make it happen. I have decided not to upgrade my Z Fold 5 unless the successor, Z Fold 6 takes care of the problems.

I transitioned from an iPhone to a Samsung device due to how much graphics work I do. I fell in LOVE with the screen size and functionality. I do not regret moving from a phone "of the fruit type" (so as not to name the other brand) to a Samsung in the slightest. It was a slight learning curve and adjustment, but Samsung backs up everything into the Samsung cloud for you (if you like) just like the other company did. Overall... I will not go back! :) Samsung ROCKS! CAMERA I see some of the other reviews out there where people are disappointed with the camera. IGNORE THESE. There are plenty of YouTubers out there doing reviews who can show you the features you will get with this phone as opposed to other Samsung phones or even other brands. I found a guy who reviewed side by side and made my choices from there. Yes, there are aspects of the cameras where other devices shine more in functionality. BUT the Z Fold 4 and 5 are absolutely AMAZING when it comes to the type of photography I use it for. I consistently receive compliments on the photography and videos these take. I am VERY happy with the quality. When the camera fails to produce the results I want, I have found more often than not that it is an opportunity for me to learn more and adjust my methods rather than blame it on the camera. There are MANY options including a pro camera feature that I am able to utilize. I am loving every bit of it, and it is also quite nice to review videos or photos on the larger screen! I have also found some very useful apps that allow me to edit videos for social media purposes quite well. If you are a social media person... don't overlook this phone! I HIGHLY recommend it for producing posts and managing social media. EPIC results! NEWER ,SLIMMER FORM-FACTOR I recently upgraded to the Z Fold 5. I LOVE the newer Samsung case that includes the stylus for this. It is flatter and more compact. I would also like to comment on the slim form-factor of the Z Fold 5 itself. I didn't think that the minor adjustment in the screen folding flatter would make much of a difference, but it does! It feels less bulky (not that the 4 was that bulky really), and with the Samsung case that includes the newer stylus... this thing is a BIG HIT in my book. Full stars! RECOMMEND SAMSUNG CARE+ I know that a lot of this technology is still developing. On that note, I would HIGHLY recommend that you purchase the Samsung Care+ package. I did this and do not regret it. This is an expensive little item that can take the place of a computer for you when you are out and about. Treat it like that and you will not regret this a single bit. FOLDABLE SCREEN (Benefits of both small and large screens) I am a graphic designer and have LOVED having the larger screen and the ability to fold it down to a smaller screen that easily fits in my pocket. Productivity wise... having a stylus and the ability to use it with graphic design apps on the fly and on a larger screen has been priceless! Previewing photos and videos or showing them to groups where everyone can actually see what's on your phone without having to squint is a BIG bonus! Love it! Get ready for a little "screen envy". It's real! And this phone is a winner! SAMSUNG CASE WITH S-PEN I would make one suggestion to Samsung... if there is a way to alter the case on your next generation so that you can turn the stylus into a prop/kickstand... that would be amazing! I've actually been using it that way (very carefully). :) I will attach photos! Remember when using items outside of their design specifications that you run the risk of damaging them. So on that note... I just wanted to make that a future design suggestion! :) PERFORMANCE I have noticed some performance improvements with the newer processor. It's a bit snappier and smoother. I do love the newer UI as well. There were a few issues with functionality that the 4 had as I got further down the road with it that this does not have so far. I don't know if the antennae was improved upon at all, but this one has been functioning far better from what I can tell. SUMMARY Over all, I have been VERY pleasantly surprised with the Z Fold 5. I had hesitated on whether or not to get it due to what I perceived to be slight upgrades and not any sort of huge overhaul or perceived improvements on features other than the processor and the screens. BUT... this has really surprised me and I am very happy with the Z Fold 5! Thank you, Samsung. Overall, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

They both broke right in the middle where the screen bends. And on my wife's phone. Her hinge came undone. None of These phones were dropped or missed used or came in contact with any water. These phones were well taken care of they just broke on their own and I've watching reviews people with the same problem they are cheaply made and they're charging people ridiculous prices that's the messed up thing about it. Samsung knows these products are faulty and they're still selling them to people. And people are paying their insurance money on them it seems like a scam. Samsung should feel sorry about it but apparently they let it keep on happening. They don't care about their customers. If they keep it up, they're going to have a class action lawsuit against them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from waste of time. be prepared to be phoneless I have been phoneless going on two consecutive weeks, sent my z fold in for a repair, received it back but there was a strip -about one inch thick left of the center fold of screen-that was not receptive to the samsung pen. Sent in again for a second time, was given an option to get a new phone or a refund. Decided on a refund due to how poorly my second repair sent out process went, was told it will be 7-10 business days to get approved, It was approved Dec 9, 2023. was told I'd receive a citi-link with 3 options for receiving my money ($1799.99) in 3-5 business days but made an upset call to the exchange department. I spoke to Christian who said he will take charge of my case and assure I receive a link before end of the day(6pm EST) Dec 13, 2023. Did not receive any link in text or email. This whole negative experience outweighs any good things experienced while owning the phone, also camera is below average quality.

It's unreal that this phone in 2023 doesnt have an option to show human readable wifi password. Completely ridiculous that it basically wants me to throw my laptop to bin, because it only supports sharing wifi password through QR code - that even their Bixby cannot read somehow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buyer Beware fraudulent Buyer beware! I purchased the Fold 5 with my $1,000 trade-in credit Samsung offering. I traded in my iPhone 14 Pro Max which was in stellar condition. After one week using the Fold 5 I decided to return it. It was extremely difficult sending messages and emails since the display is so wide. Also, very poor battery life. Prior to returning I verified three times with the representative that I would receive my 14 pro max back after returning the device, sure enough that wasn’t the case. I’m know being told (on the phone 3 hours) that I will receive a promo credit only and that it has to be approved??? Approved??? Why does it have to be approved? Are you going to keep my $1,000. It’s been a total run around with every rep you speak to overseas. They lie to you just to get you off the phone or chat.

If you like taking notes like me on your phone look no further. Buy a Fold 5 pen with this phone to get the most out of it. Writing into a word template is as easy as one two three. Not only that but you can draw perfect shapes with the s pen while holding down its button and drawing. Flowsheet shapes anyone? As a college student, I am incredibly impressed with this smart phone. Another tip i would suggest to keep your palm from swiping away word mistakely is to switch the navigation button to swipe only. As if it is always there at the bottom it is too easy to swipe away your open word document with your palm resting on the screen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Inner Screen Peeling up The inner screen on my Z FOLD4 is peeling up at the crease after a year of having it. When I asked if it was covered under warranty I was told it was not. I had seen other reviews about this happening in the past to others. Very disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy with this phone I previously switched from an iPhone to the Fold4 and just got a very good deal on the upgrade to the Fold5 with promotional pricing plus trade in (~65% off in total), too good to pass up. I am very happy with this device and don't think I could go back from the foldable to a conventional phone, this is the future in my opinion. It's particularly good for travel, where it doubles up as a small tablet. I had previously tried the Microsoft Surface Duo which is a nice reader but it's a pain to have to open it every time to use it. With the Fold5 I find that I usually start with the front screen (which I find to be an OK sized phone screen) and then whenever I feel I need a bit more screen real estate it has become very natural to flip it open, I do it now within thinking about it. Battery life, weight, screen resolution / quality, and audio are all good and I very rarely even notice the crease. With Android, I like that I can have a work and personal setup on the device and switch between those profiles. Apple doesn't make it easy to switch to Android of course and I am a Mac user so miss some of the integration but in general I have been able to find ways to access what I need either via iCloud and the web browser on the device or via apps like Apple Music, overall I don't regret the move in that regard, I basically decided to make the switch after trying out a Fold4 in my hands in a store and immediately knowing this was the device for me. I haven't tried the Pixel folding phone but one thing I notice gets ignored in reviews which compare the two devices is that the Fold5 has the pen capability which the Pixel does not, I find the pen to be a useful plus point. The new slimmer pen which fits into the Samsung case is an improvement in terms of reduced bulkiness compared to the Fold4, my only minor complaint is that the slimmer pen falls out of the case too easily. Overall, very happy with this purchase and I would definitely recommend this phone to anyone who is interested in a foldable aka the future.

It seems to be lighter, has extra storage, few upgrades with the cameras but not much. When I originally bought my first z flip 3, I wasn't to familiar with the phone. But now with the new z flip 5 it's completely how I hoped the flip 3 was. I got the flip 5 today and haven't put in down since I opened the box. I feel like this is definitely a winner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flip5, best flip phone so far! I've upgraded from flip3 to flip4 and now to flip5. The 5 is by far the best yet, fixes all my concerns from past years. The closing flat stops dust from getting on the screen while in my pocket. The new hinge feels great and not too loose like the flip3 and not too stiff like the flip4. And the best feature, the outside screen, about time we can text back from the cover screen!

The folding function/flex mode bring much more utility to this device. I had the zflip 3 and now the 5. Safe to say, I'm never going back to a regular phone.
