Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing photos, horrible wifi connectivity I received this as an upgrade gift from my fiancé I loved the camera on his s21 and then he got me this. I haven't upgraded in 10 or so years I am very picky about upgrading but the wifi connection drops in and out too much while gaming, video calling or anything. I have verizon and am also not getting 5g with this device. I wish there was an update to fix this issue asap because overall I love this phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love the feel and the performance of this galaxy! i got my 23ultra a few weeks ago after my flip 3 went blank screen on me. i was happy to get rid of that galaxy though. ive heard mixed reviews from people i asked about their flip, imo bad galaxy samsung bad galaxy. but the worst galaxy is still better then the best iphone! now back to my ultra, you hit the bullseye with this one i think. feels great, sits in my hand nicely and im not a big guy 5'9" 170lbs my hands are not the biggest but the 23ultra fits well. its super fast, i almost forgot what it was like not having to wait for the screen to load. the performance is lightening fast even with several screens open, also some cool features that ive not had a chance to really get the hang of yet but the s pen is effing cool and the camera is unbelievably clear. i just really need to hurry up and get a real good case because for some unknowen reason every galaxy ive owed likes to jump outta my hands, coat pocket, pants pockets,etc. ok maybe the flip 3 wasent as bad as i make it to be. but i still didnt like it! im sure in 2 years as soon as i get really good with all the features ill upgrade to the 25ultra? i hope! thanks again samsung for this galaxy please destroy those flip 3s and we wont ever mention them again.

I started with S22 ultra and it is my workhorse camera during my family gathering and roadtrips to USA and Canada. It is small and compact fits in my pocket and need to bring bulky camera and lens. 512gb capacity is the sweet spot for photos and videos. The picture qualities are very good in most conditions. Decent shutter speed. Also this is a low light camera so less to no noise and sharp capture. I upgraded to S23 ultra because of the processor and memory. It is not perfect but I am very happy with this phone. Great investment.

I bought the S23 Ultra on March 4th as a trade in with the S22 Ultra, even though they look similar, but that phone is way superior in all aspects, it has literally the best camera in a phone, it's super fast, and reliable, and so satisfying to use, it is the best phone of the year and it's not even close!

The talk text on the Samsung phones are infamous for not working properly. Every second! time I attempt to talk text, it stops after the first word. This is a known defect. There is no fix. If you like to talk text, as I do, stick to google phones.

Two weeks after her passing my old phone died too. What she couldn't fix here she did from heaven. I love the phone and the deal I got from "Maw Bell."

The down side was not being told when I bought the phone it did not come with a charging block. I was told that people use a previous charging block. That does not work when all you have is USB size

Called customer service on the phone for an hour and was transferred 7 times with no resolution. Bad customer service. Somebody from the states please reach out!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best "Note" phone ever, glad I upgraded I've been a fan of notes since the Note 2 and loved the S22 Ultra when Samsung transitioned away from the Note model. Had the S22 for 2 years and would not have upgraded to had it not been for battery life decline. Rather than replace the battery, I took the $800 trade in and got the s23 Ultra. I can't say that it is very different than the S22, but everything is better so I am very happy. Transitioning between apps is faster. Picture quality and shutter speed is faster. Picture quality especially in low light is much better than the S22. And battery life is probably 20% better than the S22 ever was even when new probably due to the more efficient processor. Just snapped a pic driving through Manhattanthe other night which shows the great low light detail.

The 23 Ultra is fast and capable and the camera was the main reason I spent the money and I am so pleased I did, the camera is great. I just added a Galaxy 4 Classic watch and find it makes the phone even better.

It's a very heavy phone, the camera is so -so for pictures, the video quality is terrible. Lots of glitches as well, Bluetooth problem, Android Auto problems, and issues with the screen shutting off very quickly, and lastly the phone charges very slowly. Save your money and buy something else.

My only complaints is the fingerprint for biometrics is a real pain. Please improve this -- My previous phone was not a Samsung, and I disliked almost everything about it, but the biometric fingerprint was so much better, just a touch to the power button and it worked every time.

I dont know if there are any differences which I doubt. But we did get this from Best Buy unlocked. The color is the phantom black. I bought the S23 Ulta 512GB. My old phone was a 128 gb with a 512gb added. This new S23 stinks. The memory is awful. Also taking all the junk off that they preset on the phone took forever. It did transfer some not all the information from my last phone which was awful too. The volume is not to bad but being on the same side as the power on/off is just a nightmare. I go to turn down the volume and I turn the phone off. The screen is awful it glitches all the time. This phone honestly is a joke. Trying to find something to protect the 5 lenses is hard. It makes the camera do weird things when I try a product. You would think Samsung would sell protection products but I have not seen any. This is the worst phone I ever bought. Does not have a head phone port and if you have a older car so no blue tooth only AUX forget playing or talking hands free. I really want to smack myself in the head thinking I just paid $1489. For junk. I should have bought a fridge fir that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from S Pen is Glitchy and Annoying Anytime I use the S Pen, its glitchy. For example: This phone was purchased at Xfinity and I have an Xfinity phone plan. When I use the S Pen to scroll through data, it highlights the data. Then I have to highlight additional data in order to delete the highlight. The highlight option should only come up once you press down which activates the feature. With Verizon, I had the Note and didn't have any issues. At Xfinity, the Galaxy S23, is equivalent to the NOTE.

I also had several glitches that seem to have gone away on their own, but this is typical with any new Samsung product. Not sure if it will live up to all the hype or not, time will tell.

It is also not an environmentally friendly feature because anyway you will still have to buy a charger, so you just have to spend more money than the phone cost.

The bottom of the screen jumps around when ad comes up. It has automatically scrambled all of my pictures where I can't go to the correct date of picture. Not worth the money. I took it yo verizon 3 times and all they jeep telling me is they will reboot it. So they have 3 times. I wanted my old phone back. They told me I couldn't have it back the first time I took it in. 3 weeks after I paid way to much for it. My trade in phone, S21 ultra, worked better than this one. I've had Verizon for over 20 years. I'm thinking about going to different provider. I feel I was scammed to buy this phone. NOT WORTH THE MONEY.

This is the main reason i switched from iphone to android. rest of the the features are on par with the industry. Samsung camera is better than iphone, in my oipion.

You would be wrong in my opinion. It's slightly "faster", but the battery doesn't last 1/3rd as long, much more overly complicated foe the sheer sake of being "upgraded" and it spends more time LOOKING for 5G than anything else. Same location, plan, wifi and everything as before.

The phone may look the same as last year, but Samsung improved a lot under the hood. The battery life is fantastic for a phone that can do almost anything you need it to do. I love everything this phone can do, and that's before you involve the S-pen. The only downfall for me is I can see someone being overwhelmed by all the different phone options, and I'm not a fan of the haptic feedback; it's too soft, and the iPhone's haptic feedback feels better.

They decided to pull an Apple where they sell you the same exact product with a slightly better camera. They even removed the expandable storage (sd card slot) which is one of the reasons I liked Samsung phones because they had that option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best I have ever had, but not perfect. About 2 months ago I purchased the S23+. Almost immediately, I regretted not going ahead and buying the S23 Ultra because of the S pen feature, and the camera. So I bit the bullet and did it. The phone itself is definitely Flagship top quality, however, wireless charging worked a lot better on the S23+. On the Ultra it is hit-and-miss, inconsistent, slow to react, and difficult to position on the charger. I had none of those problems on the S23+. The only other thing is that the S pen is a big disappointment to me. I feel that it is highly overrated. But, all in all, I am happy with the phone and will keep it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Problem transferring music library into phone Wanted to upgrade to this phone, but there seems to be a problem when trying to transfer my sizeable music library from my computer to the internal storage of the phone. The transfer stops somewhere in the middle for some reason. I tried through the USB cable, and also through the ShareIt app, but both methods have the same problem. Tried transferring in smaller chunks. Tried a factory reset. Same problem. Tried to continue copying the remaining uncopied files, but it would not proceed. Found a few other people on reddit experiencing this. Not sure what is going on. Returned the phone as a result. Considering whether to try another unit.

I am so sick of Samsung not allowing the phone I purchased to charge when I don't even take this thing the bathroom when I shower. I have cleaned the port and have not got any water in it. That's such a basic function of a mobile phone is being able to charge it. No, I am NOT being forced into buying a wireless charger that will probably have its own slew of issues just so you can make more money off of me. How did this make it through testing?!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's A Typical Samsung My wife and I both got this device on pre-order. She got the lavender one, I got black. Her phone has performed flawlessly, not one single issue. My phone, however, has been plagued with issues since the first time I powered it up, namely, Safe Lock and the display dimming on it's own. I've done 2 factory data resets on it, spent hours on the phone with Samsung tech support, took it in to a Samsung authorized repair center, they completely wiped the phone, both firmware and software, and completely reinstalled the operating system from the ground up to no avail. I sent the device into Samsung for warranty replacement, waiting on the new one to arrive. Short of insane battery life on the S23 Ultra, I think my S21 Ultra 512gb was a better phone. Why Samsung cut back on RAM with the S23 Ultra is still a mystery to me. My S21 Ultra had 16gb of RAM vs 12gb Ram on the S23 Ultra. Samsung Customer Service goes above and beyond in customer satisfaction!

As an amateur photographer, having a phone with an amazing camera as well as features to edit the photos, is absolutely key. And once again, Samsung delivered. Yes, iphone now has a good camera with the 14, but it's still nowhere close to Samsung. They've got a LONG ways to go to even touch Samsung. Thank you Samsung, for making an amazing product & helping this photographer achieve his dreams.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seems incomplete for the price I reluctantly bought this phone to replace my fold 3 after the inner screen protector failed yet again and the hinge wouldn't allow it to open all the way. For what this phone costs the screen is too small, there is no 3.5mm audio jack, no IR blaster and the charge rate, both wired and wireless, pales compared to other android offerings in the same price range. Samsung give us 100 watt plus charging rates and bring back the microsd card slot for additional storage. Wi-Fi 7 drops this year and this phone doesn't even have 802.11be. The battery seems to last a long time, much better than my fold 3 ever did which is good since it charges so slow. The phone is slippery in the hands without a case so make sure you have a good grippy case when you buy one. If you have a S22U save your money and wait for more tangible upgrades to the series. If you have a fold and are tired of the issues then a solid phone like this is what you need. Would I recommend it? Depends on your use case but I went with it to extract the most value out of my fold 3 as a trade in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost perfect but with a flaw I just got a graphite one, but seriously Samsung, for a $1,200+ phone we expect perfection-I am returning mine because I had a defect on the bottom right of the screen that is happening with many models worldwide. I am glad your team are issuing returns for now, but if this causes further issues in the future, then I hope the company would take accountability and do the right thing.

I love the S Pen and it made me remember how much I liked being able to handwrite notes on my devices. It was easy to set up and now all my files and photos are accessible from any of my devices.

Even without using 200 MP, photos are sharp and colors are well balanced. The portrait effect is hands down better than iphone and Pixel. Battery life is fantastic, too.

There is no enjoyment..most of the time I give up on waiting to reach a particular site because of this connectivity issue. I already know it has been affecting other buyers of this phone so why is it taking so long to come up with a fix for it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from $1500 for a chip upgrade, not really worth it. A few weeks into my S23 Ultra 512GB Green and yeah it's a decent phone and should be for $1500 with tax. If your upgrading from a Note 10 yes it's worth it but if you have a Note 20, an S21 Ultra or an S22 Ultra save your money. Samsung put a new chip in this phone so it runs smoother but they took the 256 GB version and only put 8GB of Ram which I think is pathetic. People rave about a new phone every year how it's so great. I mean shouldn't a $1400 phone be amazing? The 200 mega pixel camera is just a smoke show the real improvement is the stabilizer. If your upgrading from a Note 10 or older it's great if your upgrading from anything newer save your money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Former IPhone User Converted ! I am back Samsung. I have not used a samsung phone since 2013. After years of the same old OS and stagnant look I took the plunge. I will never be going back. Love the build quality and speed. Samsung's flavor of Android maximizes its potential. They do more to push Android than any other manufacturer. Love it so much that we ditched our watches and tablets and have a full Android experience a Samsung Experience. Everything works. My only complaint is that we need to work on the optimization of tablet apps. But that's not Samsung' fault. Love my S23 ultra, Tab S8 ultra and my sasmung watch and new earbuds. Yes they sound better than air pods. You want bass? Here it is. Wife has never used android....converted as well ! Gotta say she is better at customization than I am lol.

I especially appreciate how easy the migration from an OLD Galaxy S9 to the S23 Ultra is. Kept nearly every setting and customization. This was such a relief so I get right to playing with the phone and not wasting days with setup. ONE WORD OF CAUTION. The "red" version is more like "farm raised salmon". To be totally honest, it's orange and absolutely NOT like the photos. I love the phone regardless... just gonna wrap it into a black case anyway.

Unlocking the phone is hard with one hand since the sensor is on the screen. Also I always have to look on where I'm placing my thumb to unlock the phone. unlike the note 9 where the sensor was on the back of the phone and 100 times better and I never needed to look where im placing my finger to unlock it. Also the s pen on the left side is another annoying part about this phone. It's hard removing the pen with your right hand compared to the s pen being on the right side. Also the s pen never connects when I first remove it and I ALWAYS have to reinsert it and then remove it to for it to connect. The whole sensor unlocking thing is a absolute game changer for me and will reverting back to my note 9 in a few weeks.

I've had the sim card replaced recently, did a factory reset prior and post sim replacement and I have about 80% of storage with no apps running in the background (because I make sure to stop those when I'm not doing anything) and nothing seems to help. I should have kept the S22 Ultra, that one seems to move more smoothly than this one, only thing I love about this one is the camera. ????

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing performance It does get exceedingly hot and I'm not sure why it could be because it does extra bright could be because if you open more than one app but I still rate this five out of five the performance of the phone is amazing it does not lag no matter what game I put on it including emulated games which would stress the CPU and it does not the DUI is friendly I am using Android 14 UI 6.0 beta 3 no issues with the operating system other than Google Wallet won't work unless the operating system is official no problem it should be official soon meanwhile my process my wallet default as Samsung pay or Samsung wallet but that is not an issue as far as GPU CPU performance amazing phenomenal like I said it gets very hot it can burn you actually burn you if you touch it holding it almost impossible against your skin it could burn that is a concern but the 120 HZ refresh rate the color the brightness by far the best phone I have ever had I wondered if it was a good enough upgrade from my Note 20 Ultra and while they do appear to be very similar it was worth the upgrade it is a significant Improvement in performance over the note 20 Ultra the 208 megapixel camera is phenomenal the clarity the night vision amazing this phone was more than I expected it to be a better battery longer lasting I have $1,538 games install I can run 10 of them at once no problem of course that would heat up any CPU I'm working on how to decrease the temperature if I remove features like extra bright if I reduce the brightness level if I have less apps running in the background the temperature is tolerable but after a period of time and being on it's steadily increases it is a moderate concern but the performance of this phone is beyond comparison and has earned the five star rating from a technical standpoint I am pleased with Samsung's innovation and Technology advances that are represented in this new s23 Ultra the S Pen also has no lag and no skip writes like a real ballpoint pen far better than the note 20 Ultra I like the mirror back of the note 20 Ultra but would often slip out of my hands without a case that is not the situation with the s23 ultra the new back insures it will not slip one of the largest screen sizes at 6.8 and more impressive it's the screen to body ratio nearly zero body I would rate it 98 9% screen and 1.1% body the display is beautiful full range of colors very pleasing to the eye very Vivid and again the refresh rate allows for multitasking animation without lag and impressive phone and if you have not yet experienced it you are truly missing out a must buy we have purchased two of these phones as well as Samsung buds 2 Pro along with the Samsung Galaxy 6 watch the combination of the three allows us to truly enjoy Samsungs Innovative technology with so many features to explore it could take months to explore them all and with the promise of a four-year update we are excited and take comfort knowing we have invested in a long term capable device that will provide years of pleasure thank you Samsung for providing us technology ahead of our time
