My S21 Ultra is relatively new and the phone restarts every single day anywhere between 3 and 12 times. Customer support claims they've never seen this problem before, but do an internet search and see what pops up. Also, the new OS opens a new Facebook window every time you click on a story, friend, or link. You end up with dozens of open windows (probably the reason for the phone constantly restarting) unless/until you close each one individually. Fix the problems with your current phones before you rush to release new models.

But I'll highlight some: I pre-ordered on Feb. 12, just to find out I wouldn't receive till April; had to order another phone that would get there in 2 days instead 2 months; tried to cancel the first order online, because thats what they tell you to do, but guess what, they make you call in to cancel. You can't cancel online. That's a whole other issue, but let's just say I'm still dealing with them, and I've been hung up on now about 7 times (transfered to survey when they cant answer why). There's an overcharge of $900 which I had to finally dispute with Affirm, just to hopefully get my money back (still processing). Now to the phone performance. I gave lt fair because I think for the price it has some potential. But there are a lot of issues with toggling and speed and wi fi. My calls seem to drop out, a lot of them from Samsung E-Commerce. A lot of features like scrolling seem to freeze alot and the refresh rate seems slower than my S20 5g. The volume for Bluetooth doesn't sink with Android Auto. It seems to lag ALOT more than my other galaxies. Also battery life sucks. Doesn't last as long as my old phone. Overall this will be my last Samsung product. I find them incompetent and very lackluster with customer service. I don't recommend the S22 Ultra if you don't have patience.

I can take it off the charger and start surfing online. In about 20 Minutes im.already at 80 something percent. My S20 ultra battery was great

The only cell phones I have owned were all Samsung so I was excited to finally splurge and get one of the higher scale models. It is now Aug 2023 and this phone is complete garbage. For the third time now since owning this phone it has completely lost all forms of service. I cant make phone calls, I cant go on the internet. Nothing. It has said "Emergency calls only" for three days now. If I am lucky I can find one small area where I can quickly send a text and hope that it goes through, but thats it. I have done all the resets, gone down the list of issues, messed with the sim card. Nothing helped. I am so done with Samsung. I have 700$ left to pay on this phone and its already garbage. I think I will finally be making the switch to Apple, as much as I cant stand them, atleast they dont have issues.

It was in a small ditch under some snow I know my case was a big factor in saving my phone but it still works after two months of being outside in the snow and rain

I was Happy with the phone but it just lacked a special something and that something I figured out was freedom and creatively. The s22 ultra gives me the freedom to make the phone my own and the addition of the spen to draw and take notes is amazing, my least favorite thing is how hot the phone gets pretty fast and the battery dose seem to drain as well. I'm very excited for the s23 next year!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from S Pen and Cudtomization + Camera I got this phone at the start of October, an upgrade from my previous S9, this phone is honestly really amazing, the S pen has allowed me to make doodles on my calender and take notes efficiently, not to mention the calender app itself and all of the Samsung apps being somewhat compatible with my already in use Google services is a great added bonus! The Camera quality is just amazing, wish great photos and crisp quality, as a photographer this is very much appreciated when I'm not carry my main cameras, it is always great to be able yo trust my phone as a backup, Samsung has done an astounding job and I hope the s23 delivers just as well.

Instantly the difference in comparison to the S22 Ultra is night and day. Better battery life, hi resolution and faster overall performance has me hooked. It had only half screen working a a little cracked out the box. Box wasn't damaged or anything. Nobody will return my emails or phone calls. Im pretty upset considering I paid 1300 for this item I believe it was June I bought it. But either way someone should of replaced my phone by now. I hadn't even used the dang paperweight.

It has good UI too. Wouldn't say the best. I wish I could have a device with only the good aspects of Samsung Galaxy and the Google Pixel. But, at the same pricepoint (since I got this at a deal), S22 Ultra beats the Pixel (Pixel is very close behind though). Miss the fingerprint sensor on the back. The S-Pen is very handy/convenient in many ways.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Astronomical! The 10X zoom is incredible. Can literally capture astronomy photography down to craters on the moon and Mars as a red plant without a telescope! Used with a telescope I have an amazing picture of Saturn. Plus the ease of use ans phone and Dex with a monitor is no reason to even use a laptop anymore and slowly eliminating the need for other devices (camera and laptop) so well worth it! The only downside is much heavier than any device I've owned so that is a little backward in time move from Samsung.

It gets very hot with active use, the screen at maximum brightness only works for 30 seconds, then it lowers the brightness to an average level and it is not possible to use it in the bright sun, after the last update it started to reboot spontaneously, but it’s understandable why, the connection is not stable, often does not see the network, when you reboot or switch to airplane mode and back, then immediately the antenna indicator is full, face recognition only works in very good lighting, the fingerprint scanner does not work stably, as when, sometimes it works quickly, sometimes it does not recognize the fingerprint, works very poorly with a slightly damp screen, if only there is at least some moisture on the screen, it is impossible to use everything, the phone starts to live its own life, and sometimes even freezes. The only thing I like is the camera, full waterproof, stylus.

I was initially doubtful about the screen size and whether it could be used efficiently, but it's perfect. The camera quality is excellent, and there's lot of ways to customize the pictures and make changes with the stylus. The battery life is average, but it's manageable. Overall an excellent phone and a great upgrade for me

It's such a powerful camera that captures every moment and you can count on this phone to capture the moment. The body of the phone is strong and sturdy. The performance isn't bad, though lags out because... you guessed it: Memory/Storage space. The camera array is superb, but macro/extremely tight zoom not available is a disappointment.

The battery is absolutely terrible. Some of the features are nice but I don't think it really makes up for the battery and durability. I doubt I'll buy another Samsung.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TMobile eSIM doesn't work on unlocked S22 Ultra One of the main reasons for me to upgrade from S20 Ultra to S22 Ultra was the dual line support using a physical SIM and an eSIM, but this doesn't work with the unlocked model, I can't convert the TMobile SIM to an eSIM because the phone is not TMobile branded.

After using it for the past couple months it's by far the stupid thing I've done and I WISH I could go back. This phone us absolutely garbage. Poor battery life, it runs super slow and leggy. Constantly turning off and I tried to switch back but unfortunately I'm stuck with this terrible. I called Verizon to change but unfortunately I'll have to pay off the phone which is super expensive for nothing. I wouldn't recommend this phone and i can't wait to change back to iPhone

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Traded My Note 20 Ultra For This? First off, this phone is ugly & dull looking, like an anodized frying pan. It has NONE of the modern, sleek elegance of the glass back N20U. The screen is now slightly wider (good), but noticeably shorter(terrible). What's wrong with a full 7" screen- why is Samsung going backwards now? What genius decided to eliminate the SD card slot? Samsung now has the EVO Pro cards w/ super fast write speeds (160mbs) and we can't even use them in their "flagship" phone! DUMB. I now have a smaller screen, half the on-board memory and a tacky, thrown-together & cheap looking phone. And frankly, the cameras are no better than the N20U! Longer zoom means nothing if the picture/sensor quality does not improve. The front camera is still garbage, really no better than my S9+ was FOUR YEARS AGO. Powering on my old phone was a proud reminder of what I had. The screen boldly proclaimed; SAMSUNG ?NOTE 20 ULTRA 5G. (BOOM) The S22U boots up w/ a diminutive, simple script that reads Samsung Galaxy (weak) It's not even proud of itself. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great I got my phone with a discount through the trade-in program, upgrading after about 2 years. Cant speak to whether this is a worth while upgrade from last year's 21. But it definitely doesn't disappoint. Only complaints I have is finding a screen protector. Other than that, all the things people have complained about when it comes to the phone, I havent experienced. I recommend it if you're looking to upgrade and can afford.

The battery life is decent but maybe with more optimization the battery will last longer. Second of all the performance. The chipset should be more powerful but manage the phone so it doesn't overheat and the battery could last longer. Other than that I have no problem!!

We both got S22 ultra phones plus o got a 46mm Classic Watch 4. 1st watch DOA, 2nd won't pair to phones. Samsung is so backed up that I still haven't recieved my warranty phone that was ordered over a month ago. Screen glitches, phone geys super hot, sometimes sound will blow you away sometimes can't hear it on max volume, doesn't like to attach to wifi routers without being manually connected, and the 5G feature doesn't work with most plans on AT&T, plus AT&T has absolutely no clue how to troubleshoot this device so you gey sent to Samsung tech support which isn't much better

The main reason I decided to write a review is because this phone is quite uncomfortable to hold... The square corners just don't have a good feel and dig into your palms when holding it. It is almost to the point where I've considered returning it. Will give it a little more time though so I can test out the phone.

I thought this was an oversight, but customer service told me that this phone doesn't come with a wall plug. Okay, so how do I charge it? Good grief! Customer service was great and issued me a credit so that I can get the wall charging plug. Haven't used the phone yet, but it's nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SAMSUNG S22 ULTRA The sound on this device is mediocre at best. It does not compare to the Note10plus. Just missing that OOOPH. The battery drains in a day so forget streaming without having an extra charger nearby. The 5G HYPE is just hype, because 4G LTE will be here for a while. I was pro-active to try and diagnose the audio issues---device equalizer or whatever the sound settings but nothing seemed right. When I texted with Samsung the agent assured me that there would be an UPDATE in the next 24 hours (still waiting) that would fix the sound and battery life. I took my phone to the Samsung store and found the TRANFORMER to be damaged. So the device was sent to me BROKEN. NO FABRICATED update can fix broken. There are so many complaints about the sound which makes me wonder how many devices may be damaged. The device does not have HD VOICE which the note 10 plus had, and this really improved the quality of phone calls. Just a disappointment Samsung. Go back to the drawing board.

There are also times when my service just drops, such as my office. This did not happen with my iPhones 13 pro max. The vibration motor is so bad I notifications and even calls and the speakers are also worse then last years s21 ultra just as everything else I listed here.

Some of the alleged issues could be connected to the area where people live, the quality of the connection and service of the carrier being used, not adjusting the settings on the device, and not keeping the updates current. Who knows?? But for me, the S22 Ultra 5G has been the best Samsung device I've ever owned, so I truly question the motives of many of negative comments being left.

I'm an amateur photographer who likes knowing I can use my phone when I dont have my camera with me to capture an amazing photograph. The trade of my Note 10+ made this purchase next to nothing and I couldn't turn down the offer from Samsung.

When people sent me texts or messages through messenger it wouldn't notify me for some time. It could not connect to my brand new wi-fi printer that no other phone in our house had issues connecting to. I was unable to add items to my Amazon lists due to connection, at any time. These issues happened no matter where I went on or off of wi-fi. My last phone was also 5g, the galaxy s21. I buy a new phone every year, and this is the first time in my life I ever sent a phone back. I do not recommend.

As someone who creates social media content, I absolutely cannot stand that it doesn't have a micro SD card slot and I have to either pay for cloud storage or spend a ton of time dumping all of the files onto a PC or backup hard drive. Samsung, please add micro sd slots back to your phones, this is horrible for those of us that use our phones to create content.

Restarting phone is horrible compared to S9, they reduced the size of response. So half the time I get the smiley face stuff. I like finger print security from back of phone. When keying in words the stupid thing starts leaving spaces between letters. When searching after first letter goes up and have to reset. Overall a piece of junk. S9 soooo much better. I wish I didn't have to keep this junk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Call it the "Note 22" I just upgraded from the Note 9 to the S22 Ultra. And it is a very natural transition. The S22 Ultra really should be called the "Note 22"! It has an even nicer S-pen built-in to the body just like the Note 9. It is super fast with no lag, and it has more memory so I can have open 100 Chrome tabs like I often do with out the phone slowing down. I also like how Android Auto and the Google Assistant are built into the OS now and work out of the box. It really is an awesome phone and I highly recommend it for those who loved the Note series of phones! -Dan

A $1400 should not require HOW TO's on killing applications and utilizing minimum requirements for you to have a decent battery life experience. I do not understand why there is such a difference between the S22 and S21U. I turned in a 21U for the 22U and the battery on that was easily 3+ hours better. Screen, Camera, UI, everything is Amazing on the 22U. If they cannot fix the battery issue via software, and quick (it's already very late) they should offer everyone with a 22U a free upgrade to 23U.

The pen itself is a tremendous upgrade from what was on the Note 20 Ultra and if you are a die hard Note user like myself. This phone will not let you down. Do I miss the extra storage and headphones? Yes, but I have fallen in love with my Buds Live and I utilize the extra google storage and Microsoft 1TB storage. So, I'm not really missing out. The power and performance, Samsung did an amazing job with putting this phone up to replace the Note. The Note always had the TOP items on their phones and good to see Samsung trying to adhere to the same with the S22 Ultra.

Did not like that I had to purchase a charger separately, and the headphone jack missing is not a deal breaker but would have been nice. My biggest issue is that a lot of the popular filters and effects on tiktok, one of the biggest apps right now, do not work on this phone! They all worked fine with my previous LG phone but more than half the time I cannot use a filter or effect because it is not compatible with this phone!

Not big on Microsoft but I was tired of the big iPhone getting so heavy so I decided to switch. So far I do not regret it at all. I love that there are things u can do on it that u can't on iPhone. That's the android part. But over all I am in love with the phone. It's a pretty big difference but I am very happy. The pic below I took on this phone. CANT DO THAT WITH AN APPLE. I have tried android before but was using the lower end phones, I would hate it so I would go back. Get u a hig end phone and u won't go back. Even got my best friend to switch to the ultra 22, we are huge camera people.

I've been using Galaxy from Note 1, 3, 7, 9, and 10+. I love using S Pen. First of all, my new S pen has an odd smell like burning plastic which makes me very uncomfortable to use it because of the smell. Second, the phone gets warmer easily when I watch movies and use apps, and even I feel hot when I talk on the phone without using any additional devices like earbuds. Third, its sound is not good quality. I have to make the maximum of the volume to use its speakerphone for a phone call. Of course, its volume is not good enough for watching movies or dramas. Forth, this phone is heavier than I expected. Fifth, its camera quality is not impressive except its zoom function. Sixth, its body color (Green) is not pretty nor stylish. I can add more of my disappointments about this phone...but I stop here. Now, I am looking for a way of returning this phone since I haven't sent my Galaxy Note 10+ for the trade-in yet. I think the best phone is the Note 10+, but it is over three year old, so I am a kind of a dilemma. As a Samsung's loyal customer, I am pretty much frustrated at the quality of my new phone: Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Regret trading in my phone for this one The phone is super laggy and buggy. It constantly freezes and then restarts on its own. Then every time I try to take a picture with the front facing camera, I get camera fail. The camera is unstable as well. It is very laggy and freezes. When I am recording with the front facing camera... it either won't record, and if it does record you can see in the video the parts it froze at. I preordered this phone and was looking forward to it after a great experience with the note 20. My brother got the s22 ultra also, as soon as he setup his phone, camera fail. They need to push out updates for this disaster phone. I wanted to return the phone, but was given the run around. Will probably trade it in for a phone that actually works. I would avoid this one, and that's me coming from a Note 2, 4, 8, 10, and 20! Soooooooo disappointed!

The screen size and resolution is superb gorgeous. The one department it struggles is the battery life and camera shutter speeds which can both be tweaked via software updates.

The battery life could be a little better but overall very happy with it. The screen is very vibrant and sound is awesome for a device. Definitely would recommend! In fact I've already convinced a friend of mine to purchase the same phone.

The size of the phone helps with anything thats needed with that the battery life span is great. Games are so much fun and smooth, quick to load too. Camera is the best and easy for newbies to pro mode. Not to forget the Spen and all its features making this the best phone to get.

I love the enhanced features such as text messages popping up in bubbles, the cameras are insane and I really like that google is the assistant and not Bixby. If Bixby still exists I have not seen it and Im happy about that! Also the battery is long lasting for me. This is the first phone I have been really excited about in a long time!

The Camera is garbage compared to the Note 20 regular. Auto HD is no longer an option, so your pictures are dark. The Flash Light is noticeably dimmer than the s20 note. There is no noticeable difference in processing speed, and the fact that they took away memory expansion means they are trapping you into spending hundreds of dollars more for adequate memory storage vs a few dollars for memory card. S22 Ultra is a rip-off.

The phone has so many great features with updates to your regularly used apps that it makes it that much better. The easy transition from your previous galaxy to a new one is such a convenient feature. Love Samsung and will forever be a galaxy owner!

I have owned several Samsung Galaxy phones, including most of the Note series and the S22 Ultra is by far the best. The only con is battery life. The phone has so much going on that the battery doesn't last more than a day, but I can live with it because of the great features the phone provides.

Had it 13 months and not 1 scratch on the screen and never used a screen protector. I've had the S22 Ultra barely 2 weeks and it's already riddled with scratches. Everything I'm reading online in forums says they changed the glass. Extremely disappointed and mad. The other features are on par.

But after a month they gave updates that my phone downloaded and it put a stop to the issues. Just figured i would put that out there give it a little time. New phones get updates that help solve these issues. Well it helped mine. And i will get a new phone soon again in the future. As for now samsung is the best ive ever had.

The performance and everything almost feel the same. The camera may be a tad bit better. I do no see to much of the difference with performance but I do see it has upgraded 5G modem and the speeds with which its transferring data is mind boggling. I got ~500MBPS on T-mobile. So all in all a good substitute for note lovers especially coming from Note 9-> Note 20 U-> S22U

I have reset it numerous times with no gain in usability. Other software changes are redundant or aggravating forcing me to redo/retype my objective.

Signal reception horrible in all areas tried, including near a 5g tower. Switched sim to another older phone and perfect signal. Check the EU Samsung forum. Yes, the have a different chip, but it's also happening here in the U.S. Signal drops an no amount of hard resets, cache wipes, or incense burning fixes the problem. Since there are two different chips, but identical hardware it has to be that Samsung shipped a huge batch with bad antennas.

The zoom is incredible (included a photo to show a 1X photo and then one zoomed in to the building). The features are amazing too, the stylus is super useful for me and I love the display.

Only downfall Is battery only last 3/4 of a day and I'm not on my phone all day. I work in an office so I only use my phone for calls and similar things.

Sold me watch instead no credit on charge. Cancelled watch , lost $250 credit.

I wish they had better range of colors.Battery is great for me as I only use it for light gaming, responding to messages and calls. For those complaining of the battery are probably on their phone too long during the day. Phones now days analyze your usage, thus helping with battery support. Camera is awesome. When I hang out with friends and they take pictures they ask to use my camera because they all have Apple. I don't really use the S pen as much but I do enjoy coloring. What other phone allows you to color? This phone can be a upgrade for those switching to android or upgrading from at least Note 9 and up. Syncs well with my Galaxy watch 4 and buds live. I do miss expandable storage which now increases sales for samsung as users are forced to buy a GB size then they normally would get. My home runs on android, no blue bubbles here. If you enjoy gaming and taking photos, want freedom to customize your device with fonts, wallpapers, alert and text tones.....The S22 Ultra is where it's at. Take advantage of the trade in deals they won't last long im sure as far as trading value

My other phone was a Huawei mate 20 X so this Samsung is definitely not in the same class as the Huawei. Speakers i expected to be better...much better. Sound doesn't impress me as the Huawei mate 20 X did. I dont see two speakers and its supposed to be stereo. I do not like the rounded sides. I do wish it was bigger and wider..i was in the market for a big screen and a big nice sound. Again it does have some cool features and it does update for a few more years, so i give it a 4 star. Do wish it had a headphone jack. I would recommend this phone but not at a 1200.00 price.

Any website even Facebook takes forever to load. I'm literally sitting there drumming my fingers waiting for it to MAYBE load. I can't even make video calls on the Ultra. We need to look into switching to something else because we are basically paying for a phone we can barely use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Ram Scam The necessity of ram on a modern day mobile phone is not exaggerated. The S22 series has many great features like its graphics, pixels and more. However herein lies the problem the Ram. Anything but the S22 Ultra and a price tag of $1200 US before taxes fees etc. Or a 24 financing of a phone guaranteed to have a market upgrade within twelve calendar months. Back to my main issue the 'Ram Scam' anything less then the above requirements without a trade in phone you'll have to settle for 8 Gigabits of ram when the basic operations need over 4 GB. That's fifty percent of processing memory stuck in the programming to run the basic needs of your phone!!! Wow that's a handful. Want to use your phone for anything else? OK you need tech support for that. So good luck. Maybe I'm over exaggerating. You decide. 12 gb is almost a must for anyone not using their phone just as a communication device. Well not really but your losing 4-5 on it being more then a communication device. Which then defeats the purpose of it being used only for communications. See what I'm getting at? To sum it up movies, games and the like, will take up a fair bit of memory. That is Ram in computer language. Coupled with 4-5 of a minimum 8GB device well you have no snuggle room. It's gonna be cramped in there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hard to believe it can be better! Wasn't sure about changing phones from my Galaxy S20 ultra to the Galaxy S22 ultra, my phone was like new, but I'm so glad I did. This phone is amazing, it's hard to believe that Samsung can keep improving them. The camera is amazing!! Took a picture of the moon at a 100x zoom and no one believed I used my phone to do it. I barely use the pen but it works great. If I could've I would have removed a third of a star only because they took off the ability to place an SD card on the phone. I like saving my pictures and videos on an SD card other than the cloud or phone but I'll have to deal. The S22 is super fast and very appealing to the eye.

Beautiful build, amazing camera (the 10x zoom is SUPER detailed and clear), great speed, but there is one problem that is just personal preference. You're not able to separate the general text message sound from the main notification sound. You can set different sounds for single people and groups, but not for receiving a text from anybody else. This is a big deal, just for me (I'm not sure anybody else likes this), and I'm really hoping Samsung brings back the general SMS tone setting. Thank you! (The phone is still fantastic in almost every other way)

For one it always jumps to an app that I'm not using out of nowhere when I'm trying to use another app. It wouldn't let activate the speaker in settings. The service with AT&T has been terrible compared to Verizon, I'm always having to wait for buffering and always have service interruption. If I could I would go back to my note 10+ that one worked alot better and I never had any issues with it

However you wanna sugarcoat it with this "trying to use less plastic" is wrong. Open your eyes: you're not provided a way to charge the device after spending $1200! That's just plain stupid!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gave away my Note 20 Ultra for an inferior phone.. I don't know what was I thinking but parting with my trustworthy Note 2 Ultra was a big mistake. This phone is thicker, heavier, and inferior in every aspect including speed. Battery lasts about 5-6 hours on screen time and less than 10 on daily usage. On top of that, the phone is still plagued with hardware/software issues as others reported, such as random crashes of apps and camera failure. I got over the lack of micro SD but removing MST was a huge deal breaker. Needless to say, I sold my S22 Ultra and will be switching to iPhone as there is nothing left to keep me within the Galaxy family. From the era of the S9/Note 9, every newer generation was stripping off features that left the Galaxy phones nothing more than an Android phone with AMOLED screen. Even Pixel now is better than a Galaxy, to be honest. Finally, I think Samsung really gave me an excuse to leave them and finally switch to the polished iOS ecosystem. Won't be coming back for sure. Samsung needs to change its philosophy or most likely leadership if they are to remain competitive on this faster ever-growing market.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really good phone! I mean, first off, I had an A52 5g.. While that phone is "OK" it wasn't great.. I had many issues, phone calls especially (speaker phone wouldn't work sometimes, people couldn't understand me when using it, then sometimes I would have audio quality problems as well and this phone was only a year old.) So I FINALLY was able to afford a much higher quality phone and I am incredibly impressed. It does suck that it doesn't have expandable storage & it does not come with an adapter plug but even with those things missing - its generally a much better phone for me personally then what I've had many times before. It was worth every penny! ONLY other thing I'd say that is a bit frustrating is finding the right screen protector.. which with a curved screen (this is my first smartphone in this style) seems to be pretty difficult. But if you've had lower end phones most or all of your life, this phone is a huge step.

Every generation of phones are constant improved and received periodic updates fixing bugs and improving their operating system. Today, the S22 Ultra offers exactly what I need for my business and everyday life.

I just upgrades to the s22 ultra a couple of days ago and it was the best descion ever, I did have a iphone 13 pro and was just bored of it and wanted to try galaxy and the features that the ultra have were phenomenal, the 100x zoom the screen quality and the highly customizable everything and who can forget the cool s pen!! It was the best choice to make and I would highly suggest to give it a look or maybe ever a try!

I am thrilled that Samsung decided to roll the note style phone into the S series. I have had the phone about a month and it exceeds my expectations. I never pay that much to benchmarks. I want to know how it preforms in real life. The battery last all day for me and then some. I charge it up every night as I always do. I love always on display, Dex, the ability to have more than one thing on a screen and every other feature that Samsung delivers especially the cameras. I will always seek out Samsung before any other manufacturer. I can say I have had no problems with this phone. The S 22 Ultra fits my needs and my life perfectly especially with 4 years of updates. I recently purchased another for a family member.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slow I don't know what it is with this phone but it's gotten slower than my previous s21 Ultra. Everytime I try to do regular stuff, it keeps lagging. While the S21 did the same thing, it was atleast a little better. The camera did improve however. The pen is also ok... But I'm not sure if it's worth the sacrifices made. They also decreased the ram from the previous generation which makes no sense to me?? Overall I'm very disappointed in this product, I'll likely switch to another product.

I had the Samsung galaxy s10 before this and the chargers went bad very quickly. I'm very disappointed that instead of fixing the end of the charger that goes bad they decided to put the bad end on both sides of the charging cable.

I was skeptical first but then went ahead with S22 ultra and i can assure that you wont be disappointed. Its Snappy great camera and build quality. Its a worthy update over my s20 +. I use camera a lot and s22 ultra can stand any conditions of photography. I have added few clicks to see yourself . I wish it offered more premium benifits like extra cloud storage, vpn with it.

The phone is everything they say it is and the only reason the battery life "sucks" (as many say) or the fact that the cameras work great "when they work" is for one very important reason that many are forgetting. It is still so new its still green behind the ears. It hasnt had ANY substantial software updates or anything ither than the "day one" update that literally just happened a month after release. People keep saying, "my s9 ran so much smoother or my note 10 etc etc.. im writting this on the wifes note 8 and its super buttery smooth BUT again, ALL these phones are years old and tons of updates. So cut Samsung some credit where credit is due, they are back ordered due to highest release demands EVER because the phone is soo good and youre mad you have to wait. Grow up people. Give it time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best thing is the camera when it works. I have had 2 of these phones now. The first one wouldn't charge past 47 percent while in the charger. It would charge to 47 then drain to 17 percent while still plugged it. The phone was glitchy as well. Apps wouldn't load or work properly. I got a replacement. It was as bad, maybe worse. It got super hot, twice. It froze for up to 30 minutes at a time, about 5 times. It would turn on and off repeatedly. The camera was super grainy with people, photos within normal range and anything with a light colored background. It did do really well with night shots and landscapes. The colors that come up on the cameras are not very true to life though, which is a big negative. The one I have now keeps coming up camera has failed. This has happen no less than 11 times. The Verizon store will now no longer replace the phone for me because of the other 2. So I am stuck with a camera that may or may not work. The only reason I upgraded was the camera. I am extremely unhappy. I have been charged fees from Verizon for having to replace the phones for issues that were not because of use. The phones came out of the box doing these things. Terrible experience. I have had every Samsung phone from the S5 on. The 21 ultra and the 22 ultra have been the worst so far.

As per Samsung, while making a the purchase on the website at some point I received a $250 credit towards my purchase in exchange for not getting the adapter to charge the phone. At no point during my purchase was I made aware of that. Not to mention that the actual adapter costs $30.

Airplane mode. Have now had to rider a replacement and I'm doubting it will fix it. No trouble with calls or texts just cycles through networks and drops internet repeatedly. Very disappointing.

The biggest reason I traded my Samsung Ultra for an iPhone 13 Pro Max (sorry, bye bye Android) was battery life. Out of the box I was having to charge my battery twice per day, no better than the 2 year old S10 I traded in. It also got very very hot at times. I was running the same basic apps too. I’ve been looking for an excuse to jump. Thankfully, Samsung provided it.

The battery on the s22 ultra isn't good. it's no faster than my old phone, and with 5 g not being where it should be, data gets slow and at times data won't work. Another thing is the speakers are terrible. I've been a samsung user for 9 years but may switch. My son's iPhone 13 pro max beats my new s22 ultra in all things except the screen.

I play games and after 5 minutes it starts to heat up even without the case. It gets slow and sometimes laggy because of heating issues. I only use it for calls and some photography now. I enjoy using the pen for gimmicks LOL. The s21 was more stable IMO.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Going back to Samsung I've had my Galaxy S7 since 2016, decided to upgrade to the Galaxy S22 Ultra because I wasn't getting any updates and had issues getting new apps. Now, the only reason why I decided to get the S22 Ultra was because it's the one with the largest memory. I preorder on February 15th and got it on February 24th. I got the burgundy 512gb, with barely any apps installed I'm already at 165gb. Obviously no headphone 3.5mm jack, and no sd card slot. This phone heats up real fast and the battery it's a nightmare. It goes from "super fast cherging" to "fast charging" after being plugged in for a couple of minutes. It tells you how long it will take to charge and I timed it, it gives you the wrong time. It literally takes almost 2 hours to charge, mind you, it's a super fast new charger. This brand new phone also deletes random contacts, and the call quality is horrible. I am using the same phone provider and I've never had this issue with the S7. Maybe it's just this phone, but the camera sucks. Freezes up and it's laggy too. I've been getting Samsung phones since 2008 and been a Samsung Galaxy fan since the S2. This is unfortunate, but I rather pay more with another company that will deliver. Will be returning. Save your money, my brothers own the Samsung A32 5g and the A52 5g and they both get sd card slot, 3.5 headphone jack and a better battery than with this S22 Ultra. I don't mind paying lots of money when I'm getting what I paid for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good but far from perfect. The good: The processing speed of this phone is second to none. Don't let anyone fool you, the size matters. This is a nicely designed phone with large screen and substantial weight to it that can be used a self defense item when you find yourself alone in the dark trying to find your car on a large parking lot. The settings and customization is vast as you can adjust whatever you can think of on this phone. The display and camera is simply second to none. The not-so- good: We purchased two of these phones, one for me and one for my wife (her is a Note 20 Ultra which i am assuming is the same exact unit as S22 this year). First thing that shocked me is how easily they break. After one week of ownership we dropped the phone on the concrete from our toddlers stroller pocket and the screen cracked across the entire phone. The phone was in the case and the drop was not that bad. So much for the super tough gorilla glass or whatever Samsung is advertising on these flagship phones that cost an arm and a leg. Fixing the cracked glass on this phone costs approximate like an average brand new smartphone. We fixed it once and decided to buy this super tough case that is commercialized all over the internet (i will leave the brand name out) and what do you know, even with this wonder case the phone was not able to survive a two feet drop on the garage floor from the seat of a sedan car. The display glass broke severely and the back cracked across. What in the world is going on with the super tough glass advertised on these phones?? Well, back to repair shop and this time the price was even higher because they had to replace the rear cover that supposedly has the battery block on it. Enough about the toughness of this phone, its clear enough that this phone is not tough at all, as real life shows, not well controlled laboratory tests. My second concern is the battery life. Why in the world the battery only lasts one day under normal use? By "one day" i mean morning to evening. I never play games, just check my emails, messages and not even have a social media account of any kind to be always on it. Battery needs a lot of improvement. But this last one takes the cake and i think is actually comical. I opened the box and there was no charger. Seriously?? In this price range you cant include a cheap charger?? I get it, you spent all these money to develop an unbreakable glass and long lasting battery but, how is one supposed to charge this flagship phone when a charger is not included? I strongly recommend buying warranty with these flagship phones as real life experience shows they are extremely expansive to repair and they are simply not durable enough to survive real life tests.

Battery life has been excellent even as it learns my usage patterns. The S-pen has already come in handy to markup photos and pdfs for work. I find the screen has better viewing angles than my s21 ultra did, although I prefer the screen on my wife's s21+ by a slim margin. The speakers are excellent for media consumption. I don't do much gaming but the phone is snappy in daily use in the optimized cpu setting. I have been running in the adaptive refresh rate with WQHD+ resolution.

I had NOTE 2, 4, and 9 and was most happy with Note 4, because of its transportability and the quick access to the battery. With S22, the NOTE users were forced to give up a lot. Samsung flooded this phone with lots of Bloatware, running on the background, compromising the battery life and forcing it to include a giant battery that adds 1 Oz/30gr because of dimensional changes including the screen size. If Samsung offers its phone, free of any preinstalled app with a shorter Stylus, and gives more control to users, the phone screen doesn’t need to be larger than 5.7’-6.1”, and a battery size of 3000mAh will last around 10-12 hours of screen use or more than 2 days between charges. Consumers also don’t have to pay for the fastest processor, while getting slowed down by background apps. Hey Samsung; Make a light 150 grams, 5.7” screen with a good Camera and Stylus, 5G, and Wi-Fi 6 under $500. It should fit in Jeans or (Surf) short side/back pocket. Include a magnetic cover case, like TAB S8+ for those that carry it in a purse with their keys. You can do by far a nicer design than others if you put your talent into it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OK phone & horrible buying experience Samsung overcharged me for my pre-order. They charged me $2035 for the phone. Multiple Samsung reps promised me refund on my card. But the last rep simply refused and said they will only provide credit to be used within 90 days from issue. I do not have anything to buy from Samsung website. Option they gave was for me to return the accessories I got using "Samsung credits" and then they will refund that much amount to bring down the final cost I pay. The only other option left for me was to return phone and keep using Note8 or go to Sony for camera phone or iPhone for other features. I spoke to the Samsung rep who without question asked me to return the product and I initiated return. In the 4 days I used the phone - 1. Camera is good. Unimpressed with 100x zoom where everything appears pixelated, 2. S-Pen - Cannot get SPen out of phone easily as in Note8. In a way good that it wont slip out easily when accidentally unlocked from phone. Very good for notes capture. 3. Battery life is similar to my 4.5 yr old Note8. Based on my similar usage I charge it couple of times a day. 4. Charging time via the Note8 charger is about 1 hr for 30% to 85%. To me thats good. 5. Rather heavy for a phone. 6. I am not a fan of fingerprint sensor on screen, need to always find the right angle and location. It was easier on Note8 where without looking I know how to place finger to cover the entire sensor. Overall value for money - phone is not worth $2035 as I can get nearly all features other than SPen for close to $1000 from other manufacturers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Design, Cameras, and Quality I bought this phone after dealing with my slow and buggy A30s which I bought in 2020. The first impression was amazing. I liked the box and the phone was presented in a fashionable way. However, after applying my case and screen protector, I noticed two things. The first thing I noticed was that the battery was draining fast. I let it sit overnight and it lost around 35%. My A30s could've done better. However, after looking at my battery page in settings, I noticed an app was using up a lot of battery. I set the battery usage to restricted. The second thing I noticed was the fact that the phone was getting abnormally hot. I installed CPU-Z and noticed that some thermals were reaching almost 50C. I filled out a Samsung Members error report and received a message to call Samsung. The heating isn't as bad as it was now, it's just the battery that is a little bad. Otherwise, this phone is a great phone and I would recommend it to people who are interested in itit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed I had high hopes. The screen is of course amazing. The S Pen is a nice trick but I don't use it enough to miss it. The design isn't familiar to the S family, but we knew that going in. What we didn't know was how awful the battery is. Like many reviews, I can confirm that this phone won't make it through most of the day on a single charge. Like,, not even half the day. That's very disappointing considering it is an incremental upgrade. Also, despite what others say, the camera isn't any better than the S21.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Big Miss; then a Foul and finally a Hit???? I've been a SAMSUNG customer/fan since 2012. I Ordered/Purchased the Galaxy S22 Ultra from on 3/2/22 with scheduled delivery setup for 4/8/22. Phone arrived and was setup using WiFi/Smart Switch on 3/28/22. I immediately noticed that phone was running "Mad Hot" during calls/use/charging (Very sadly reminiscent of the SAMSUNG Galaxy S7 debacle, which I also owned/returned). Next, my new SAMSUNG phone started shutting off and on, at a very rapid rate, by itself. I contacted my carrier and an exchange was setup, at my local wireless store. Techs had endless problems transferring my personal data from the defective S22 Ultra to the new replacement S22 Ultra, due to the defective S22 Ultra constantly shutting down. I ended up successfully doing Smart Switch transfers, at home, using my WiFi. Next, I had to trek to FedEx to return the defective phone. Just after FedExing the defective phone, I attempted to photograph my FedEx receipt, as I needed to get my sales tax on the defective phone refunded....YES, I NOW HAD TO PAY SALES TAX ON TWO PHONES!!! Unfortunately, THE CAMERA on the replacement S22 Ultra phone was inoperable. The Camera App was BLANK!!! I immediately contacted SAMSUNG Customer Service/Tech Support, and a Tech fixed my replacement Galaxy S22's camera function. All in all, not an enjoyable, albeit uber time-consuming break-in period with my new SAMSUNG product. I really looked forward to upgrading from my SAMSUNG Galaxy 9+, but the experience thus far, has been one catastrophe after another. I felt very let-down by SAMSUNG and their severely poor product quality control. Now, I only hope that I will be able to update this review with some positive updates. Wish me luck.

The best display anyone could ask for. My battery life is a dream! I take my phone everywhere I go! Thank you Samsung for making such an amazing device!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Galaxy Forever I purchased the phone a little over a month ago and was told I may receive it in April. While I was okay with this, the phone ended up coming over a month earlier than expected. The phone itself is a work of art, from the sleek design to the quality of the camera and the array of features. I was a little disappointed that the 3d scan feature was not included in the phone as I teach engineering and would have used the feature to provide mutiple real world lessons in surfacing using the created models. While I do not use my phone every minute of the day, I do find that theb2 day battery life that includes over 3 hours of high processing and video conferences more than meets my expectations. I have used galaxy products from the release of the second generation and have never left or have been disappointed. The note feature that I have been satisfied with is another notable mention for the S22 Ultra. If you like to work with a stylus like I do, you would not be disappointed. Every user I encounter thatbgot "the fruit" phone always has some comment about their great features. Just remember, Samsung has had these features long before the renaming of them existed. Samsung, keep breaking boundaries and setting the bar while the other guys catch up. Overall, great phone!

Unfortunately I couldn't say the same about the 21,now that I have the s22 Ultra I have the very same one complaint from the previous version. No upgradable storage. So close to a no hitter but that is how it goes. 4 out of 5

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still better than a iPhone So besides the battery not lasting as long as advertised and the random freezing of my lower part of my screen, this is an amazing phone. Having upgraded from the s21 ultra I am very happy with my decision. Thankfully the screen isn't curved as my last device was that in itself is satisfying considering I' had to replace the screen on the s21 ultra twice and was gonna have to replace it once again had I not traded it in. Overall this is a entirely wayy better model than previous s series phones.

All in all, worth the price and worth upgrading if you're looking to do so ??... being able to use the pen to take pictures is probably my favorite feature!!!

Sound quality, Built in design, software performance and Outer Look just superb. After 7 months stilL same performance. It's Internal security updates also very effective. Thank you Samsung.

I'm so glad I decided to give it another try because the features, software, everything has improved! I love it how customizable it is so my phone KS personable to my liking! I hated the bland & genericness of apple!

I was disappointed when the series was discontinued but the Note 22 Ultra delivers a flagship phone with all the features you would expect but also includes the stylus. Fantastic!
