Stop Working
Stopped working a month after purchased, sent it to get fixed. Came back and only worked for 1 day. Then sent it back again to get fixed and they said it was water damage, so the warranty didnt cover it, though it was placed back in the box and never by liquids.

Hinge problem broke glass
like many, the hinge in this one seemed to lock up, and when it was opened and closed, very lightly i may add, it broke the glass and hinge. good when it worked but i would say samsung needs to recsll these and fix the issue with the hinge.

Complete Garbage!
I bought two in August 2021. Both have defective screens. There is a known defective hinge issue. It causes the screen to buckle and crack. Samsung refuses to honor the warranty. Horrible customer service and Chromebook. I am replacing with iPads as I will never purchase Samsung again.

Terrible Tablet- Laptop
Very poor laptop. The chrome OS is garbage. I have only had this laptop for a few months. Never worked correctly from day one. It won't connect to the internet. Spent 2 hours with the tech support.

Got my hopes up
i purchased this chromebook because i needed a new laptop to focus on my writing. while it was difficult to figure out, running on apps instead of software and not accepting majority of the programs i needed, i've experienced a lot of issues. it crashes frequently, programs constantly shutdown, at times curser doesn't work, and a lot of space unaccounted for. i am disappointed with this purpose.
the only pros i've experienced is it charges fast and hold a charge for a few hours.

The Hinge
do not by this product. despite its many positive attributes, one flaw effectively negates all of them: the hinge. mine broke through the display, as have so many others. fortunately, mine broke two months before the warranty expired. getting it fixed was not easy, due to a combination of website errors, customer service errors, and my own errors. but i persisted and they did fix it for free.
now for the rest: i bought it due to my positive experience with the original chromebook plus. the intel chip makes the linux sub-os work better than on the original. the keyboard is better than on the original. and i love the stylus, even though i don't use it often.
negatives, other than the hinge: heavy compared with the original cb+ and the display is poorer.

Bought two, both had broken hinges in 6 months
these were bought for middle-schoolers to do homework. $450 each. the kids are careful with them, they stay on their home desk, they always open them at the top middle of the screen. within 6 months, both broke hinges and screens. the result looks like the photos which others have posted. very disappointed in the quality. i managed to epoxy the hinges somewhat back into place, i don't dare try to close the lid. the hinges look identical to the ones on samsung chromebook pro which i have used for 2 years without issue. wish i had bought chromeboxes instead.

Same battery issue as others mentioned
seemed fine, but after a year, device won't power on anymore. the red led light on the side near the power switch keeps blinking, but chromebook will not turn on or otherwise respond. this seems to be a recurring problem with this device, per other reviews i've seen. it was fine up until this point.

Stopped working
Worked pretty well overall until it crashed.
Wouldn't reboot, the factory reset didn't help, screen was shot.
This was after about a year.

does not power on after 1.3 years hardware issue
Initially I was quite happy with this chromebook. It was an excellent solution for my son's academic requirements. Unfortunately, 4 months after the warranty expired it has stopped powering on with the red power led just blinking continuously. I tried troubleshooting with samsung's support rep and the conclusion was that it was a hardware issue and I should take it in for repair. I am very disappointed.

Can do a lot more than you think
the linux features that were added make this chromebook a lot more powerful than before.
i think i got it for a lot cheaper than this price though.

Failed to power on less than 1 year after purchase
i bought the chromebook for my daughter for e-learning last year.unfortunately, 2 months after the warranty expired it stopped powering on with the red power led light just blinking continuously. i tried troubleshooting with samsung's support rep but they could not help so they referred me to a samsung technician. the technician informed me it was a battery issue that samsung was aware of but has not notified consumers. i will never buy a samsung product again.

Vastly inferior to Samsung Galaxy Tab4
The font is gray, rather than black, and there is no way to make it more visible. Definitely not good for eyes over 40. Font on tabs in microscopic and can't seem to be enlarged. It's possible that I just naively expected the same Samsung quality. Reading email, itself, is easier, but it is torturously slow and dim. I have had this 0ne month tomorrow, and the keyboard to be very easy to use, though, since it doesn't cause much pain to the fingertips. The unit is pleasantly light. It's a shame that the screen isn't. The pen is excellent and is the reason that I bought the thing.

Not a single problem EVER
I have had my Chromebook for almost 4 years, not 1 single issue ever! I am gagged to read some of these reviews because this is the best system I have ever owned. I can not say enough about it, from the ease of use to the light weight design to the many features it carries, I feel terrible to all those who have had issues, mine has been a dream, thank you Samsung, I am just about to purchase another one this week and will review it once it arrives. Love me a Chromebook.
