Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible Are you kidding me! I’ve always had the commuter series on my iPhones. Just bought the iPhone 13 and thought I’d try this new case. Terrible! I’ve only had it for a little over a week. It leaves fingers prints and has these shiny marks on the back that you can’t get rid of. I want a different case. Not to mention it’s very slippery.

From what I read online from otterbox and online in general that this case was just the same as the original otterbox defender case expect smaller. Not the greatest protection for the phone. I wish it was not stated that it has just as much protection as the original defender case. It is not the same.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Too Slippery The back of this case is way too slippery. I think it’s required for the MagSafe but definitely makes this case unusable. Regular defender case with rubber back is much better in my opinion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not what I Expected from Otterbox I just installed on my New IPhone 13 Pro. First like a previous review I noticed the edge does not cover the screen protector edge - thus a dirt trap- not to mention I would think it would be better protection with a little soft rubber overlap. Second, just as another mentioned - the edge around the camera "barley" extends past the camera. I guess that would be ok setting it on a flat clean table. But for a case that boast drop strength, I would think you target customer would expect to protection in less than ideal conditions - I certainly did. And Last, trying to understand why there is nice well defined button covers for everything except the ring silence button (other models have the same cover for all buttons- why doesn't the most expensive model share this convenience. It has this awkward cutout and even being a woman with fairly small hands, my finger will not fit to operate button (something I do use when my phone rings at an inconvenient time). I truly expected more, as I have used both Otterbox and LifeProof cases on every cell phone I have ever owned and never had an issue, never broken a screen, and never broken a phone. That is not to say they have not been dropped and exposed to some extreme conditions. I wanted to utilize the Magsafe features of the phone and had thought this would work as well as previous cases. I hope customer input is shared with your R&D team for improvements on future models.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! Replaced my happy purple Defender Series case that was stretching loose at the top. Easy to install, despite the reviews to the contrary. Slim and sleek and still easy to grip from the sides. I love it better that my old Defender but that one was good too.

Fortunately, I was able to reach a support agent that helped me. She was at a slight disadvantage working from home and did not have the simple tech tips needed to guide me through how to install my iPhone in the Defender Pro XT case. Without her help I may have damaged my phone.

I spend the extra cash because they stand behind their products and they do protect from falls,etc. The only complaint I’ve ever had, is that they’re a little bulky. THIS model is more streamline and lighter. I LOVE IT!

The case is easy to put on my phone and has helped protect the phone fro numerous drops. It’s also to keep the phone free of scratches. The case is more bulky than a normal phone case but I like knowing I’m protected from drops.

I tend to drop my phone so a durable case is a must. The case was easy to install and remove. I like the handy MagSafe charging capability. The only thing I have noticed is the flap to the charging port is a bit flimsy, however, using the MagSafe removes the need to use the flap. An overall great product and highly recommend!

The color was his favorite and his phone fit the case spot on. He is showing it off to his friends . He says that he feels so much better now that he knows he won't chip sent or break his phone

I dropped my phone with my case for the first time and no scratch or damage on case and on the phone surprisingly not really bulky either. Feels really natural in the hand and the mag safe charging makes a great addition.

It is sturdy and durable while also remaining lightweight and sleek looking. I tend to drop my phone a bunch out of pure clumsiness and this case holds up to the test. An added bonus is that is comes with magsafe to it's super easy to charge with compatible wireless chargers. I can't recommend this case enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overkill I had an Otterbox for a prior iPhone and thought it was just okay. I needed something for my iPhone 13 and thought I'd give it a try. It's a bit of overkill and is pretty difficult to get on the phone. The port covers are actually a bit annoying, though might be necessary if I were doing anything more extreme than working from home every day. I'm sure this would be a great case for those that need crazy protection, but the cheap silicone cases I've been using have always worked just fine.

It is my first Otterbox case so I cannot compare it to any other models and luckily I have not dropped my phone yet (fingers crossed but I feel confident in this brands reputation that it will keep my device safe! A bit on the pricier side but I believe you get what you pay for, and I know Otterbox is high quality.

I absolutely hate this case, so much so that I bought a normal defender from Amazon less than a week of owning it. While it may be impact rated, the case is smooth plastic and easily slips out of the hand. I had it less than a week and the phone slid out of my hand and bounced off the wall and granite tile in my bathroom when I was walking in there. I'd return it but I don't know if they'd take it back. $75 down the drain. If you're looking for a textured rubberized case that has some grip to it, this is not the case for you

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible MagSafe, worse customer service This case claims to be MagSafe compatible but is so hit and miss with both the apple MagSafe duo and the belkin 3 in 1 charger(purchased and approved by apple as a qualified MagSafe charger). After some research online, the wording otterbox chooses to use is very misleading. This case if “with” MagSafe and the symmetry is “for” MagSafe. Got told it’s only tested on otterbox and apple chargers(even though the apple one didn’t work). I also have a commuter which says on the box “compatible with MagSafe” which also is not. Now I’m told I’m going to have to buy a 3rd case to be able to use my MagSafe feature. After 15 years of being a dedicated otterbox customer, I’m forced to look elsewhere for my needs.

I have the blue/tan color one and love it. I used to have the Otterbox commuter and liked it because it wasn't too bulky. I'm happy to say this one is more sturdy without being much bigger than the Commuter.

Even after watching a video on how to install it I still struggled getting the lid on and secure. If it wasn’t for the quality of the brand I probably would have given up and thrown it in the trash. But having had an otterbox several times through the years on different iPhones I powered through and finally got it on after probably close to 20 minutes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Defender is an appropriate name I used the Pro XT for a hike at Enchanted Rock which included some pretty steep climbs. Twice during the climbs I lost control of the phone (poor job of securing by me and it fell and slide to what I thought would be it's demise. Both times it was recovered and in great condition. The first drop it slide about 50 yards before crashing into softball size rocks and coming to a halt. The second time it slide about 10 feet and fell another 50 feet onto a gravel wash. Both times there was no damage to the phone, but plenty to my ego. Great product. It's a bit bulky for use at work, but I use it in the field and transfer to a smaller Defender model at the office.

Also have the wallet attachment and that works fine too.so far i have dropped the phone twice and the screen and the rest of the phone is fine.

The case form factor makes it easy to get in and out of your pocket. I would highly recommend this to anyone on the fence.

I was so wrong. The is far less protective than other defenders and has signs of west after four weeks. Also, it has a one piece design that is SO HARD to put on that it feels like your phone will break. Massive amount of disappointment.

Does not add bulk or take away from looks, feels great in hand. I do wish the install instructions were a bit better, to be honest. Kind of like Ikea, but even less helpful.
