So when I bought the iPhone 13 Pro of course I got the OtterBox defender series for it! In my opinion there’s no better way to go. I have not dropped this phone yet, but my iPhone X I dropped many times, mostly from my lap standing up. The OtterBox defender series handles the job.

Thing is, I don’t LOVE it. It’s bulky, I can’t get it into my pocket, or if I do I can’t get it back out without pulling the pocket inside out with it. It doesn’t protect my speaker or mic ports from dust. Siri can’t hear me very well.

Also phone fits a little loose inside the case itself, when I received the package it said it was for iPhone 2021 XL/iPhone 12 pro max. I’ve had otter box defender series on all my phones for the past 8 years this is the first time I am disappointed on the quality of the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good case, but not as good as it used to be I'll put the bottom line here at the top for folks who only care about the most relevant facts. This is a great protective case, and on the whole, I would highly recommend it. This case doesn't always work with wireless charging, but I knew that before purchasing, and it wasn't an issue for me. The case actually does work perfectly with one of my two wireless chargers, so I'd say that it depends on your charger whether or not you'll be able to use this with wireless charging. I have been using Otterbox defender cases ever since I got my first iPhone 5s back in 2013. Back then, I had a case with a beautiful Sienna blue outer shell and a pretty pink inner shell. It was by far my all time favorite iPhone case. When I had my iPhone 7 Plus ad 8 Plus, I once again had a blue outer shell and a pink inner shell. The colors weren't quite as pretty to me as they had been on the 5S, but I was still satisfied over all. Now, I have an iPhone 13 pro, and the color options are more limited than they've ever been. I'm thankful that I was able to get a blue outer shell as usual; the color isn't my favorite shade ever, but is nice enough. As for the inner shell, I have no idea what color it's even supposed to be, and I was very disappointed to discover that the defender case didn't appear to be customizable as it had been in the past. As I said above, I knew that this case wouldn't work with wireless charging, so, primarily in hopes of possibly getting a prettier shade of blue, I bought the case which is wireless charging compatible. To say it was disappointing is an epic understatement, but that's not relevant to this review. In my specific situation, returning it would have been much more of trouble than it would have been worth, so I'm stuck with it, but that's entirely my fault for ignoring reviews. Anyway, back to this case: it's great, and I feel that my iPhone 13 pro is well protected, but I'm very disappointed that my case isn't as visually appealing as it's been in the past.

The only thing I question is the holster top clip, it doesn't have the tension or snap like what my old case and holster clip had. Just hope with time and usage it doesn't let my phone fall out. Time will tell.

Love to have a sturdy case like this case to protect my phone from accidental drops. Chose this case because of the anti-slip comfort grip. Also love the raise edges to protect the camera lens and screen when phone is laid on a flat surface.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed after years with Defenders I’ve had Otterbox Defenders since I got my iPhone 5s. This one is very disappointing. First, the case bezel is almost non existent on this one meaning that a face landing almost guarantees screen protector replacement. Second, the drop rating is lower than any of my other Defenders. And third, the holster is flimsy and doesn’t have a very positive engagement. Personally I feel that my $10 Walmart case does a better protection job although it’s less aesthetically pleasing and more slippery than the Defender.

The old otter box cases had the rubber on the outside and the polycarbonate shell on the inside. This was much better then how they are now. I work in construction and the putter cover being rubber saved my phone against so many falls and drops. This case is already cracked from only one fall. It’s definitely not going to stand up to the wear and tear that the old style Ottebox cases did. Oh his new one feels cheap and like an imitation. I have been a customer since I purchased my iPhone 4 but I will be looking elsewhere for cases now!!

They have all broken the same way, the bottom corner keep pushing on the glass till it gives out. This case is way to slim and tight to fit on iPhone 13 pro and a glass cover. I have had an iPhone Xs max with an otterbox case and screen proctor for years with no issue like I am having now.

This case from OtterBox addresses both of those concerns. The thickness of the case allows me to lay the iPhone on its "back" without exposing to camera lenses to whatever surface I may lay my iPhone on and the hinged cover that closes over the firewire port keeps that area dust free.

They protect them from dog slobber, too! They also look nice and I love the holster so I can keep my phone on my hip instead of having to search in my purse or try to fit it in a pocket (women's pockets were NOT meant for phones.

Sadly it seems that with the 13 it does not unless I remove the rubber outer layer. Maybe it’s my charger but I’m not about to throw down another $100 to see if one of theirs will work. Still not a bad case.

You actually have to take the existing case apart. Take off the silicon covering, then take the hard case underneath apart, then you put your phone in. It should fit perfectly.

My husband put this iPhone 13 Pro Defender Series Pro Case on his iPhone right away and he works in a very professional environment so his phone has to look professional just like the clothing he wears to work everyday, this is a very nice and professional looking case. He likes that it not only protects his iPhone but it looks nice and feels nice too. The edges of case are slightly raised so it helps protect the screen and the camera as well. I really like that this case also is made with silver-based antimicrobial additive so that it helps inhibit microbial growth and defends the case exterior against many common bacterias, and weaving the additive into the case materials helps it to protect your case 24/7! I highly recommend this amazing iPhone case, it’s not only going to help protect your iPhone but in my opinion it will help with protecting my husband from some bacterias because of the silver-based antimicrobial additive.

Considering it's size, it's pretty sleek. I work as a maintenance tech and need something that will survive my day to day life. I feel confident that my phone will stay safe in this case, even when I'm crawling around and getting into tight spaces and banging into things. Should stand up to the great of time!

The first one I bought for my phone broke...the other problem I had with was the phone was loose in the belt clip..Kept falling out...Otterbox sent me a new one and the phone is doing the same thing...the pne is loose in the clip...I stopped using the clip because it would fall out..If I could find a pice of foan rubber with adhesive about an 1/8 of an inch thick it would hold the phone without moving in the clip...Will be buying a new IPHONE 15Pro...hope they fit the case to the clip tighter...

It is a very tough case and the clip keeps it safe from breaking in your pocket. He has to squat down to work on things and has broken phone screens in the past having them in his pocket. Fits perfectly and all buttons function as they should. Really tough, great case for the iPhone 13 pro. Would definitely recommend.

On the iPhone 13 Pro, the "flaps" that allow access to the ringer switch and to plug in the power cord are CHEAP and after only 3-4 month are beginning to separate from the body of the case. I will be submitting a warranty claim. We'll see how that goes... I've been a fan of Otterbox for decades, but may need to look at more reliable options...if quality, fit and function have been compromised...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No protection I purchased the defender case the within an hour of purchasing my iphone. I have only had it 4 months now and the screen is cracked. Never had the case or screen protector off of it. The screen protector (ZAGG) was cracked. When best buy geek squad went to replace it, we noticed the screen itself was cracked. It’s going to cost almost $400 to replace the screen. Having this bulky case did nothing for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Old Defender much better The old defender truly had raised edges and that case was amazing. I had an iPhone 5, yes, 5 for MANY YEARS with no damage to case or phone after many years and many drops. In just a few months, after some drops the outer blue case pulls away. Also, the camera isn’t protected enough. I have a glass protector on it, that was already cracked once as was my screen protector on a different drop from the one just described. Please bring back cases that actually protect the phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trash after 3-4 months. Fit my 13pro well for the first month or two. I take my phone out of the case maybe once a month to clean the ports and inside of the case because I live in a sandy area and am outside in it quite a bit. After the third or fourth cleaning the entire rubberized backing of the case is so loose on the phone that it sticks out enough to trap air behind it and I feel it constantly when using the phone. Additionally the top right corner of the rubberized portion of the case is so loose that it’s barely hanging onto the plastic portion of the case (which has been flawless). I’m 32 years old, I’m careful with what I own because I work for my money and I’ve had iPhones since the original iPhone came out, I’ve used cases from otter, life proof, spigen, speck, etc., and I’ve never had a case wear down/stretch out this fast. I love otter box cases and I’ll be buying another in the near future but if so we’re you I’d choose a case with a plastic backing vs rubberized. With the size of these modern phones and the fact that all of our pockets are still the same tiny size, they just don’t mix well and lead to pre-mature deterioration of the case with completely regular usage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn’t fit iPhone 13 Pro! I thought I would be getting a case that fit my phone. Part of my power button was under the plastic part of the case and half the time would hold my power button down making it impossible to shut my phone off or turn the sound up or down it would also make Siri come on non stop. My mute switch was also under the plastic and the box says 13 pro. Worst product it is not 13 pro compatible. Returned the next day to my local phone carrier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Otterbox Defender Pro for iPhone 13 Pro I didn't perform any drop tests but this is a well-made case that makes me very confident that my phone is protected against most types of damage. It also adds a nice amount of grippiness to the phone and while it makes the device noticeably larger, it is not as bulky or heavy as I feared and the phone still fits comfortably in my front pants or jacket pockets. One minor problem is that the enclosed directions were not quite enough for me to figure out how to put the case on, but I found a video online that demonstrated how it works and have had no problems putting the phone in the case or taking it out of the case since then. It is not particularly difficult to do, though it is more time-consuming than skinnier case styles and it's not something I would want to bother with regularly... easier to just leave it in the case all the time. Another minor problem is that, while the case is compatible with wireless charging, it does make it slightly harder to find the right spot for the phone to rest on the wireless charger... my charging pad is a 4" diameter circle and if the phone is off-center it won't charge. That said, if the phone is correctly placed the quick charging works just fine. The case comes with a belt holster which was simple enough to use and worked well. Taking the phone out quickly might require a bit of practice as the holster holds it somewhat tightly, but I appreciated that the phone was secure while holstered and I didn't have any concerns about it falling out or coming loose. The holster also converts into a kickstand for watching videos, and this worked fine as well, though it only has one angle that it sits at. I liked that the case covers the Lightning port, as I often get lint or dust in there over time, and there's a flap that easily (but never unintentionally moves out of the way to allow for wired charging or to otherwise connect accessories. There is a similar cover for the physical ring/silence switch and I have not had major problems getting access to that switch while the case is on, though it requires more effort than with thinner cases, and possible much more effort depending on the size of your fingers or availability of fingernails to flick the switch. There is a clear trade-off in using a case which is this protective versus having a thinner and lighter phone but if you want the best protection possible I think this case is as good as you will find in not sacrificing too much sleekness. It was much more comfortable in daily use than I expected, and the case doesn't look too bulky despite feeling well-built.

This case has everything I was looking for and I couldn’t be more happy with the product. My problems in the past was if I wanted a very nice looking case, it was not very protective, easy to crack a screen or damage. Or if I wanted a protective case it was way too bulky and not attractive- wouldn’t fit in my pocket or took too much room in my smaller purses

Especially when it comes to protecting the cameras glass which is very prone to getting damaged easily.

I love my 13 pro and needed a case rugged enough for the job site, I have been using otter box products for the last few phones I’ve had , and I’ve always been pleased with the protection they provide, this case is no different. Typical defender pro reliability, comfort, and looks. In my opinion there is no better case for extreme situations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Otter never disappoints!!! I am a two time Otter customer - the first Otter I bought for my Galaxy 8 phone, and it kept my phone pristine for 4 years. I bought my very first IPHONE (13, and of course would never think of protecting it with anything other than an Otter. I have the Sierra Blue IPhone, and ordered directly from Otterbox the Defender Pro in Fort Blue, which looks great!!!

I come straight home and order an OtterBox Defender. My phone falls out of the truck, in the floor, you name it. I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great case but poor belt clip Love the case, looks and feels great. But for the people that use the belt clip be aware that it’s not too good. It’ll keep you phone secure but the second you start to take it out it’ll just slid out and if you’re not holding it good enough it’ll just drop to the ground.

I’m looking for new cases now because I fear what happens if it falls on the main screen with no raised edge like the previous cases to keep it from hitting the screen and breaking it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome case, but!! I love this case I just wish it was MagSafe compatible. The one that’s MagSafe compatible just doesn’t look like it has the same protection. I wish you could make this case MagSafe. I love everything else about this case though. I’ve dropped my phone with no issues or worries something happened to it. It feels and looks great. I would like to try the MagSafe defender xt but I can’t get myself to pay that much money for another case when I feel like I won’t like it as much as this one.
