Got into the the ui via web browser and set up a multi gig connection with my Netgear CM 1150v modem. Testing the speeds I pulled 1458 mbps down at the Orbi router. I’m loving it!

The Orbi connected to the CM1100 modem by NETGEAR give us fast internet like I have never seen before not mention along with my purchase we received Bidefender security that was a great investment In it’s self so I would definitely recommend this product and any of the others I mentioned here by Netgear it was well worth the money and peace of mind knowing my family is protected and no lag during movies or important video calls

My older mesh Wi-Fi system left portions of the home and yard without Wi-Fi. The Orbi Mesh WiFi 6 System - AX4200 - 3 pack (RBK753) was easy to set up, and now the whole home and yard have excellent Wi-Fi coverage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not built for Power Users The Good: Wifi Speeds were amazing. Nice looking units that fit in nicely on a shelf with existing decor. Easy to do address reservations and port forwarding. The Bad: Limited Features. The router determines whether a device uses 2.4 or 5ghz signal. Might be great for a regular user, but to me this is annoying because my new iPhone can connect to either, so the router placed it on a 2.4 channel that yielded slower speeds and there was no way for me to change it like I can do with my old Nighthawk. It has known compatibility issues with wireless Amcrest cameras (wish I would have known that since I have a system built around Amcrest), Satellite Signal Drops from base station constantly. I bought the system that has 3 satellites and live in a 4,000 sqft house yet they kept disconnecting. App Issues - It took 3 hrs to get the app to work correctly to finalize setup (I have a nighthawk and am used to the app and it still gave me issues), The other issue with the App is that if you change a device name, it doesn’t translate to the Embedded UI. Device connectivity to the satellites is an issue because when booting up the system, it seems that the router boots before the satellites thus having everything connect to the base (router). It would be nice if you could also manually move devices to the appropriate satellite, but you can’t do that. I had a satellite in my finished basement that next to it was a smart TV and a Google Home, both of which would not connect to the satellite next to it, they connected to the router 1 level up. Very frustrating. I read some blogs about turning signal strength down and that seemed to help, but my wifi range suffered in other areas. I have over 50 devices connected to my router between wired and wifi. I don’t think Orbi liked that many devices (35+ continuously active). I also read about ways to get Orbi to communicate better by disabling MU-MIMO, but to me that defeats the purpose of a state of the art router. Lastly, Netgear Armor destroyed my connectivity and streaming capabilities. In theory it was a great idea, but once I disabled it my speeds and streaming ability improved. I like Netgear products, but this one wasn’t for me. I went back to my Netgear Nighthawk X6 R8000 and it performs twice as good with my devices than the Orbi did (even thought I’m comparing Wifi 5 to the Orbi Wifi 6 which doesn’t even compare speedwise). I think my next step will be the newest Wifi 6 Nighthawk Router. My advice is to do more research before buying Orbi if you’re a power user.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Performs but issues complete initial setup Orbi was very difficult to set up and I'm very experienced IT person (worked in IT for more than 14 years. I don't like being forced to use an "app" to set up the system and being forced into accepting the 30 day trail for Orbi's Bitdefender security system. I'm more than capable of going to the internal IP address of the Orbi and configuring my network. I've also had some problems with occasional slowness or even pausing when using laptop or my Peloton (and to be clear, I live alone so no other devices are on the network at the same time). Had to call Netgear support twice to get complete the initial setup... honestly, I knew more than they did. So, while once it was finally setup, it does work very well... if given the option I would have researched some other options before deciding to purchase. Again, now that it's setup it performs well... but given BitDefender (which I DO NOT want) and setup issues... I would maybe try another brand.

I set up the two Orbi satellites at opposite ends of the lot and get the exact same download speeds on my iPhone of 600Mbps anywhere on the lot. Fantastic product. I also rely on it for work and I’d recommend it to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Won't connect to my TDS modem I bought this system because a friend of mine has it and because of the Netgear name. I have even talked a friend of mine to purchase this system on Cyber Monday which he did but was only able to purchase the Router and 1 Satellite instead of the two because the Cart would add it but when you try to go to the next step the cart was empty. I even tried to purchase it for him and had the same results. I told him to purchase the Router and 1 Satellite to have this system at the reduced price. So I have tried to install the Router several times now and have had no connection between the Modem and the Router. I have tried to power them up, unplug everything, used a different ethernet cord, moved the Router to a different location and still everything I tried the Router doesn't connect to the TDS modem with an IP address. The TDS Modem does put out TCP/IP to things that get plugged into it so I know that the TDS modem is working and that the ports on the back of it work. The TDS modem is a WiFi modem and I do not know if this is an issue but it shouldn't be since the Netgear Modem is getting plugged directly into the TDS modem. I do not know if my Netgear Modem is bad because the only way to trouble shoot this is to take it to work and plug it into that network to see if it can obtain an IP from that router. The person (friend of mine) who talked me into this system says that it one of the best and that he has no issues, my friend that I talked into buying this system is in his late 60's so I guess I will have to go to his place and try to set his up because he is unable to, I think it is more that he is not a Techie so things are harder for him to do. All in all, I wish I wasn't having these issues because I believe that Netgear makes great stuff, I have bought Netgear back in the 1990's when I hosted LAN party's because they where the best, I hope that the issue is with TDS and not this unit but with the testing that I have done it is pointing to the Router and not my TDS modem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wifi Mesh Beats our cable provider's unit hands down. We have 300M internet speed and were always buffering. Even when we were in the same room as the router. The mesh system covers the whole house and easily handles a dozen devices going at once. The purchase price might be a little hard to swallow, but makes up for it in saved aggravation. I've tried a couple of wifi extenders... they helped... but not enough. And they were difficult to setup. The mesh system was very easy and didn't require any tech savvy. In a nutshell... It was worth getting, and I’m glad I did. I would recommend it to anyone who lives in something bigger than an apartment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Interaction Issues with Orbi and Nest thermostats The AX 4200 was fairly simple to set up once I figured out how to disable the router portion of my Comcast Gateway in order to avoid interference with the ORBI wifi. The system is performing well so far in a 4000 sq.ft. home using 2 satellites. It is somewhat annoying that several of my Nest thermostats go offline due to low power. This is not an issue that I have had to deal with using other Netgear wifi systems. This is apparently a known issue with the Orbi wifi and yet they fail to highlight it in the user guide of online.

I even updated my internet from 200mbps to 500mbps. Not sure if my setting is optimzed... One of other the biggest disappointments was not having Circle which was one of the reasons I got Orbi originally. But I did see Circle will be incorporated in the next firmware update...so hopefully soon!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bojan My Internet connection is 600Mbps. Before Orbi, maximum I could get was about 200Mbps on WiFi, but only if I connect to the router. Two other access points were not able to provide more than 120Mbps, and this dropper off if you are more than 3 feet from the access point. I have a couple of WiFi 6 clients, and could not take advantage of higher speeds. I stream everything and have ~40 devices connected at all times to WiFi. Unfortunately, no wired access. I now have orbi AX4200 with router and 2 access points working for about a week, and it seems much better than the old system. On WiFi 6 clients, I can consistently get over 500Mbps regardless if I am connected to the router or the satellite. WiFi 5 clients are achieving between 250 and 350 Mbps, which is pretty good. I do not detect packet loss, and range is larger, so I can work from the back yard, fairly far away from any access point with no interruptions. I hope it will stay as consistent as it was so far.

Although I have extensive experience in data communications, I needed support as the installation tools didn't work. We never did figure out why. Since installation, I have spent well over 50 hours on the phone with technical support (or on hold waiting for them) with no solution and minimal improvement. Support has now quit responding at all. I currently get speeds of 950Mbps with a wired connection to the router, but speeds of 200 to 400Mbps via wireless even when standing in the same room as the router (no structural interference). One solution was to remove one of the satellites due to "interference". Make sure you don't spend extra money on might well become a spare satellite.

App was easy to download but needed to contact cable company for assistance in completing the install, ends up there was a cable issue that reduced our speed. We can now stream and watch tv on the back patio this summer! Getting the notifications when the system blocks malware or spam attempts really puts me at ease. Why didn’t I get it sooner???!!

But the main issue is you cannot turn off 5ghz in order to connect smart devices like thermostats and plugs that only use 2.4g. Called customer service and was no help. A major design flaw.for the price I would expect better. Thanks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost perfect I had an old ubiquity amplifi mesh network that was in need of updating. I have gigabit download/upload internet and wanted a mesh network capable of utilizing it. I immediately saw a huge boost in my wifi connection. My office was is now getting 400 down/up. Surprisingly, using an Ethernet cable into the satellite doesn’t seem to increase my speeds. The only downside I’ve noticed is the inability to set priority bandwidth on certain devices. I like to game sometimes, and I’ve noticed my ping tends to fluctuate more than it did on my previous network, though it doesn’t happen too often. There was just a day where it was considerable and drew my attention. But aside from that, I have terrific download and upload speeds all throughout my house. I even get decent download speeds in my garage 65 megabits down and like 10 up. All in all, great system. I had some issues on the install (do not change the network name and password before it is 100% done with setup), and had to be on phone with tech support for like 3 hours to get it fixed. But I’m a happy customer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Orbi purchase at Cosco I was working on my boat. My phone came up with my neighbors WiFi and they were across the lake. I texted my friend and said is this you? If so what WiFi do you have that goes that far. He said ORBI! While at Costco I saw it and bought it. Easy to install, love the quest feature. It had maximized my speed to a full gig when I was at 500 before.

Using the new Orbi I have both satellites connected directly to the main router in the basement. The throughput on this system is amazing and rock-solid. There is not a dead spot in my 3,000 sq ft home.

It's on the high side of the cost spectrum but puts the others to shame, IMO. I have Gigablast from COX and the wired connection speeds are consistently 940MB upload and download. My average WiFi speed throughout the house is above 500MB. Needless to say, I'm impressed and a satisfied customer. Oh, BTW, I have 43 current devices connected.

Followed all the directions to circumvent current WiFi but the Orbi router is defective. I waited on hold for 1 hour 20 minutes with no resolution. Now I have NO internet and have to deal with fixing that. Netgear was no help on any front. Don’t expect it to plug and play. For this much money, the customer service should be stellar. I’m returning it. Disappointed.

I have had lots of compatibility issues: the system keeps falling off of my modem, then I cannot connect my Orbi voice without losing the connection to the new system. Finally, a major disadvantage: NO CIRLCE app! I just assumed it was included.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The routers are great, the support not so much I am getting phenomenal speed all over the house now with our Orbi mesh system and higher internet speeds from Spectrum. I've had a little trouble getting things straightened out with the Armor subscription though. It's been over 3 weeks, and they still haven't gotten the correct routers and serial numbers into the system, so I keep getting notifications of vulnerability and threats from the person who received the router (serial number) I was supposed to have received initially. All my calls to Pro Support have fallen on deaf ears.

If you want a network that just works and doesn't require that you learn to be a net admin, this is the router for you. And it's so fast. My old router couldn't even get 200Mbps and this one easily hit the top speeds I was paying for.

Before setting it up, I could not stream anything on TV or my computer while my husband was still in his home office working or it interfered with his connections while on meetings or just sending emails. We are seeing 250+ mps anywhere in the house on average. We use to see around 50 mps around the house on the old setup even with 250 mps coming from the modem. They are also stylish in their design. Setup did taking longer than expected but it was it's own internal programming and updating of the system. Strongly recommend.

Our cell phones will not work - dropped calls, missed calls, people say they call us and we don't even have a missed call on our phone. Sometimes the phones aren't able to make calls at all. This only started happening when we got this system - it isn't the ISP or Verizon. It's orbi. I cannot figure out a solution.

But sadly it died, JUST 10 days after the warranty of course. I used the support button in the app, have you tried it? It does nothing.

While my previous Netgear router has been solid and reliable for years, I decided to try the Orbi mesh system to improve signal strength and speed in the more remote areas of my home and grounds. The Orbi system has been exactly what I hoped it would be, giving strong and fast coverage throughout my home, deck, garage and beyond. Setup was simple and quick. I have no regrets, except that I wish I had made the change sooner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple set up; great coverage/performance Set up: very easy to set up; guided via iphone app. Convenience: EXTREMELY convenient as Orbi replaced a two-wifi coverage system that had gaps (main wireless router set up with a second router at back side of house fed though power outlet extenders - no more bifurcated wifi. Performance: Older wireless router was providing ~ 75Mbps ... new Orbi is now providing 235Mbps under the same services and modem. Coverage: Coverage is awesome - seems to go well out into the woods behind house or to the street that is 200' away. Price: I believe it was in the 400 range... i forget because it was so worth every dollar spent (plus a 10% discount deal from Netgear). Had I any idea it would be this much better, i would have bought long ago. Thanks Netgear product team !

That's when you find out that for all the money you paid for it, including extra hardware warranty, you only have 3 months support. And they need to charge you an extra 100+ USD to troubleshoot your issue. That's crazy. So basically, unless you agree to pay the extra support, your extra warranty is just wasted money.

With a home office. it's handling a complete security system of mor than 16 4k cameras in and around my house. one camera is a little bit over a hundred feet away and that camera comes in crystal clear. Also all my TVs and my home music studio.In all my, the devise manager say i have 28 plus connections going at the same tim and i get absolutely no slow downs .. Love this System

Replaced Google wifi with the RBK753 and so far it has performed exceptionally well - I have 500MBPS fiber service and my wifi is now much faster across our 2 story home. Streaming over wifi has improved dramatically - no more delays and buffering which was happening quite frequently. Simple to set up - used the same wifi name and password initially and almost all devices connected seamlessly!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Same SSID for 2.4 and 5.0 wi-fi bands. This 750 system uses the same SSID for 2.4 and 5.0 wi-fi bands. You are unable to choose which band you connect to. This is a problem when your smartphone chooses 5.0 and you are configuring a camera or other device that is only 2.4 capable and must be on the same band as your phone for setup.

The Orbi is working like a charm and I love how my WiFi is working seamlessly with my router and my WiFi speeds are over 900Mb up and down consistently, doubling what I was getting with the WiFi 5 system. It was easy to setup, less than 30 minutes and I love the fact you can plug an ethernet cable into the satellites if you want to hard wire a device near your satellite.

My warranty expired less than 3 months ago, and now I am having problems with the unit. The router is broken where the AC adapter plugs in, and the router is sporadically losing power. It's unfortunate you pay several hundred dollars for a product that you believe will last years only to have it work for a couple months after the warranty expires. I would not recommend this product due to poor hardware design.

I pay for 1 gig through my ISP and up until July is was getting around 940mbps. Then in hit the floor at around 500 mbps which is still good but not when you work from home and have 30 devices hooked up. I called for support and they told me since it was past 90 days that if I wanted help I had to purchase a contract. Ridiculous. Also I want to mention the trouble shooting steps I took on my own. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Orbi. I even had my ISP come out and replace their equipment. My ISP hooked a device up to the Orbi router gig port to see the speed. It was 150 mbps. So the Orbi app was not telling me the right speed either. I will never buy netgear again.

I was soooo frustrated with trying to watch video in my detached garage while working on stuff. Well ,,this works big time. It actually stays connected at my parents back yard , 60 yards away. My download speed quadrupled ! I bought the netgear modem that has xfinity voice to pair with this. It also works awesome. No hicks ups in the fist week :- Set up was fairly easy . Make sure you have the phone line plugged into the modem real good until it clicks . That was my biggest problem. I didn't have it in good and spent time trying to figure it out. Being a guy, I had to try a couple hours before calling the support line that took 5 minutes.

Only negative is no way to set up schedules to turn off/on internet to kids devices - only on/off manually with the app.

With this set-up, we have the router on one end of the house top floor, a satellite on the other end of the house main floor, and the second satellite back at the other end of the house in the basement. With the kids at home this past school year, it worked out perfectly. No lagging zoom classes, no inability to log in, even the hubs using streaming music can mow the grass all the way around the house without the music static-ing out at the far reaches of the yard. We are in love with our coverage this system gives!!

We had moved to a larger home and it seemed to be ok for awhile and then gradually worsened. I am not a computer geek so after getting advice about router mesh systems I investigated and chose the Orbi three set which was on sale at Costco. I had Best Buy’s technicians install and have been more than pleased. What a stress reliever!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Orbi saved us! This year was a challenge for everyone. Working from home with a 6th grader and kindergartener attending distance learning education was a challenge. Having inconsistent WiFi was so frustrating to us all. The cable company came out several times and the wifi did not improve. We also had a professional tech company come to help with the issues. They wrote us a quote to fix the wifi for $6000.00. Needless to say, we weren’t able to spend that kind of money. After much frustration, I decided to try the Orbi Mesh System. I really didn’t know what it was or how it would work. I figured it probably wouldn’t work and I’d have to return it. Immediately- upon setting it up- our wifi was fixed! A true miracle! The entire house now has perfect internet. Before the Orbi was installed, my children were getting kicked out of their classrooms by the dropping wifi multiple times a day. We were all using our hotspots on our phones to connect. It left them in tears and frustrated many times. I can’t say enough about Orbi. It is wonderful! I am not a tech person and it was extremely easy to set up. Since we installed it, we have not had any wifi issues. This was an affordable, easy and fantastic fix to a long term problem! Thank you Orbi!

The speed drops quite a bit in the backyard but should be good enough for wireless cameras…. will review that later. But in my limited use so far I can say that it works as advertised.

It shoot through walls and built in's like they are not there and provides a substantial improvement in network quality over the Nighthawk router I loved previously. The network threat and parental controls are great additions as well, helping ensure that any device connected to the router is protected.

The option for a guest network helps minimize potential security concerns. Last and most importantly, the distance covered by the router and 2 satellites is bar none. I get service all the way in my backyard unlike before when the WiFi would cut out by my backdoor. This is solely due to the satellites. Only odd instance is how the devices decide to connect to each piece of hardware. Router seems to be the primary option but a device will connect to the satellite when the router is out of range.

I wanted more coverage to my back yard and the latest Wireless Technology WiFi 6 . My coverage is much better and I can take advantage of my fast internet speeds.

We have 2 satellites in the house, 1 in the detached shop/pole barn, and 1 in the gazebo (each about 80 -100 feet from the other satellites, and so far, our WiFi is fantastic. Speeds equal to "wired" connections (200Mbps+)

So I bought one too however when I tried to set it up I had some issues with getting it to work. I tried many time to follow the information provided, it didn’t work no matter what I tried. So, I ended up connecting my computer to the Router using an Ethernet cable. Once I did that you was able to set up the router. The Satellites were next, it took a bit to get them to connect but once they did I had no issues. My home is 3 stories plus the basement which is exposed in n the front. These three units when connected gives me the WiFi the I need. When I first bought this system I rated this system as a 1, the only reason why I rated it as a 4 is because of the lack of information provided for the install. I told a friend of mine about this system and he bought it and he too was unable to get it setup using the app. He returned his because he is older and I didn’t have the time to go these and set it up. All in all, great price on sale, and the way it provided my home with WiFi, I would buy it again and recommend it as well.

I am also seeing very high upload and download speed measurements (worst case is about 50% of the maximum indoor speed) outside my home, pretty much everywhere on my 6.5 acre property, without having any outdoor access points. My Wi-Fi propane tank monitors never miss readings anymore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy setup, blazing speeds! These were our 2nd Orbi routers, after our initial tri-band Orbi's purchased about 5-6 years ago. These routers are extremely fast and easy to set up. There were zero issues setting these up and the configurations could be made within a few short seconds (for normal home use. The only gripe I have with the Orbi routers is that you cannot easily set up 2.4Ghz devices easily since the routers do not broadcast the 2.4Ghz independently vs 5Ghz. Easy enough fix by toggling off the 5Ghz band, setting up any 2.4Ghz devices, then toggle back on the 5Ghz. We have 1Ghz fiber and this wifi system is awesome!

I've had AT&T Internet 1000 (formerly Gigapower or whatever they used to call it--the 1 gig service for 3 or 4 years. About the best we could do with the AT&T modem/router, and one extender, was about 150 mbps, and in a few spots of our 3,900 sq ft, 2-story house, there was almost no signal. AT&T changed the router once when I complained, but that didn't help. We just finished our 3rd floor and put a really good 4K TV up there. I moved the extender from the 2nd to the 3rd floor, but nope, we had huge buffering problems. We were getting maybe 15 mbps up there, and then the 2nd floor was dead. Read the Orbi reviews and was skeptical. I shouldn't have been! This system is awesome! We are getting at least 200 mbps everywhere, and within 20 ft or so of one of the satellites, we get 400-500! This product is worth every penny!

I had my Orbi WiFi 6 AX4200, purchased from Costco installed by USInternet at the same time they installed my 1 Gig fiber Internet service. Professional installation. Surprisingly bad wi-fi. Slow and uneven. Worse and more expensive than Comcast. I have a new 2020 Dell Inspiron Intel i7 laptop 15 feet from the router, direct line-of-sight, no obstacles. With 1 gig fiber into the house, my speed on the laptop is about 40mbps. I have a Roku about 8' from the Orbi router. No walls or house plants in the way. Netflix sometimes buffers. I lost my connection to my nearby Roku and to my Channel Master dvr in my den. I had to reset the connections. That never happened with my much, much cheaper Comcast WiFi network. The Orbi provides very poor, intermittent WiFi in my basement shop. With Comcast the basement connection was fine. Before switching to 1 gig fiber and Orbi mesh, I had a rental router from Comcast. I purchased three satellites form the Xfinity store for about $100 total. Worked great. Fast reliable Internet on from basement to second floor, from den to master BR. With optical 1 Gig fiber and the Orbi Tri-band Mesh WiFi 6 System, I am out over $700 for the Orbi with plus professional installation and my WiFi sucks. When we watch live performances on Zoom, we get overlay messages "Internet Connection Unstable". Arghhh! I am confident the problem is with the Orbi because I connected a laptop with a Cat 6 Ethernet cable and my thru put was well over 900 mbps. My old house with the plaster walls and hardwood is just too much for the Orbi mesh WiFi. I only quit Comcast because squirrels chewed my Comcast cable, and Comcast refused to fix it because of Covid 19. When the pandemic is over, I am going back to Comcast. IMHO, Comcast has poor service, but great tech. Better and cheaper than Netgear Orbi.

Followed install/set-up directions and at the firmware update stage, unit turns into brick. Costco-only help desk kept me on hold for 2 hours with no resolution. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect router ever I was using Verizon G3100 router when I install the FIOS at my house on my second floor, it has good wifi signal in my bedroom only, for the other bedroom, and especially the living room on first floor, wifi signal become weaker and weaker. Then I decide to buy Netgear Orbi mesh router, put main router in my bedroom on 2nd fl front, and 1 satellite in the other bedroom on 2nd fl back, then the other satellite on the first floor next to the stair with my TV, and I test my speed (I am using FIOS 500M plan, so my bedroom is around 500M, the back bedroom is around 400M, same as on first floor, Amazing, I highly recommend to buy Orbi if you want your wifi to cover your whole house,

I know have coverage on all three floors and the speed has increased termendously. Bought the system because my standby generator which was recently installed only received a signal strength of 15% from my previous WIFI router. I am know getting a 70% signal strength at the generator. I am very happy with the system.

We had the latest Verizon router and our coverage was terrible, as soon as you went to the garage or patio coverage was virtually non-existent. The Orbi was set up in under an hour, I was able to completely eliminate the Verizon router and rental fee by adding a Moca adapter and our coverage is outstanding. I highly recommend this system and the savings on my Verizon bill will pay for the system over time.

I just wish when you have issues you could talk to a person rather than having just a few faqs and solutions. Price was great and the product has been great since we set it up. It even allowed us to change the name and password to our original router so all devices did not have to connect again.

I set it up in my 3 floor, 2 building home and was able to get a good signal from each corner of the house. The IOS Orbi app simplifies install. Once installed, I prefer the web interface. The up-stream router was a T-Mobile home gateway that had its own Wifi6 but the two seem to coexist peacefully

My house is twenty nine hundred plus sq. ft. with the computer and the kitchen on opposite ends; my iPad gets great reception to check on recipes. Even my sewing room upstairs has great reception which my old WiFi didn’t give me. The system was easy to install and so far everything is working good. I recommend this product.

First, I decided to buy Orbi because my old Apple router which was one of the best on its time was not providing the speed I was paying for. I bought and I don’t know but I was afraid of trying it, probably because I though it will be hard to follow the directions and not get what I was expecting, but guys let me tell this, I was so wrong. I don’t know why expected so long to try this router. Well you know you always read the reviews (good and bad and most of the time we follow the bad ones. My wife was getting tier of the slow wifi and also tier of seeing the ORBI sealed box next to the computer. One day she went to work and I said what can a lose so I decided to get over it and install it and see if it will make any difference to the speed I was getting. After taking the router of the box and placed where I wanted the signals I follow the directions on the paper and on the ORBI APP. I follow all the directions, which were very very easy. After I got every thing running which took me literally 15 to 20 minutes, I tested the speed and I couldn’t believe the speed I was getting. So I advice every one to try this router. Don’t just go for the bad reviews. My family and I are very happy with the signal this router provides is amazing you won’t regret it. Plus the good warranty and some extra protection if you buy it from Costco. Please try this Orbi wifi6

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love It After Getting Past A Couple Of Quirks Relatively easy to set up with a couple of exceptions. 1. It just wouldn’t complete setup through the iOS app. I ended up resetting everything to default and using the web browser. 2.) I had my previous network split between the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. This was not possible with the Orbi (at least I was not willing to go that deep into the weeds after researching it). Setting it to use one of the previous SSIDs was altogether a mess on the device end. Reset, rinse, repeat, now a new SSID and everything is perfect! A hassle getting 40 devices back on a new network but worth it in the end.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good router, but... I purchased the AX4200 3-pack and have been using it for a little over a week now (I replaced a Netgear R6300). I'm not going to get into all of the technical stuff since I really don't understand it; I'll just say that I have definitely noticed an improvement in speed. My reason for upgrading was due to running so many wireless devices; the 6300 was good but was struggling to keep up, and since we have Apple TV the frequent picture freezes were becoming ridiculous. The interior walls of our house are insulated which also made it hard on the R6300, but with plans to add more wireless devices I knew it was time to upgrade. Only time will tell how well this model performs as far as reliability, but if it's anything like the 6300 I don't expect any issues. My only two real complaints at this time are as follows: One, the Orbi app logs out by itself and is a little buggy for some reason on occasion. Why? Couldn't tell you. The fact that I'm able to log back on without any problem is good, but it can get annoying. I'm assuming this is an issue with that app and that an update in the future will remedy this. Secondly, the router is having trouble staying connected to my Mac computer. I Googled this issue but to be honest some of the trial and error scenarios were way over my head. Plugging an ethernet cable from the router to the Mac solves the problem, but it really defeats the whole purpose of being wireless. I might call tech support one day when I have time; the hold times are sometimes long. As I stated, time will tell as far as reliability goes. I've read complaints from people who say the AX4200 isn't any faster for them, or that the system didn't work correctly right out of the box. I have high speed internet and setting up the system was fast and easy. Had I not had any problems with Wifi connectivity for my Mac I would have given this rating five stars. Using a cable or turning the Wifi off/on is not a deal breaker, but it's something I should NOT be experiencing in my opinion.

Our house is a uniques layout with a fire wall in between our router and the office. I can't believe the difference now that I have a satellite in this office. This thing cooks!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth wifi6, tri-band, no hiccup mesh router! Best investment I've made so far on the router. It's been a week and no drop in connection noticed. With working from home and family streaming content throughout the day, my previous router couldn't keep up and there were frequent disconnects / slow speed. With this new router not only I was able to get the full speed from ISP but also seamlessly connect upto 40 devices and extend the coverage in my backyard with mesh setup. This allowed me to connect wireless security camera in my backyard without issues. Now I can work from my backyard! So far happy with the product and would recommend to my friends and family. Not really a downside but this router's price is on the higher end but this is the best price I could find with wifi6, tri-band and mesh capabilities. Maybe I missed but I can't seem to find parental controls and bandwidth assignment (2.4 or 5) options to specific devices from the app. Just need to figure out how to do that. So far happy with the product!

Support ultimately recommended a replacement. The replacement has the exact same problem . After my unit has been up a few days, the packet loss grows. I've resigned myself to rebooting my router every few days. Its frustrating for such an expensive device to have these consistent problems.

I like the signal strength I now get throughout the house, but the lack of ANY basic parental controls or time based scheduling is ridiculous for a premium WiFI6 mesh network. My 4 year old ASUS router allowed me to turn off any device on a preset schedule without having to pay for a Circle subscription. Once that feature is added, I would change my rating to 5 stars. Neil

Not only were the dead zones gone but the wifi signals also improved significantly. My house is an L shaped building and the 1 router plus 2 satellites system covers the house perfectly and well into the backyard. I strongly recommend Netgear Orbi WiFi Mesh system.

So I tried this system and my network speed on the wireless devices achieved close to the speed of the incoming network. That was amazing. Highly recommend the system and was easy to setup and used my credentials from my old wifi and had all my devices back and up with the new network in less than an hour. It was great and was the easiest upgrade that I have done until now.

The reason this has a four star rating is the Orbi app. There have been times where I am connected to the wifi network and the application is unable to connect. It would also be great if I could set up groups of devices that I could pause access for (kids).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unreliable for Conference Calls I experience 5 to 10 seconds of static audio where both sides hear nothing, this occurs a few times during a conference call. I purchased this mesh system two weeks ago and i have been troubleshooting primarily on my own and went through multiple calls with technical support where they keep closing tickets and we need to repeat troubleshooting steps. The last one was today where the technical support told me that i should return the device as my home is not suitable for mesh network even though it is two stories and less than half the square footage coverage they advertise. Also told me that my walls are causing interference which does not make any sense for someone who knows anything about wireless.

I had an older Orbi system that was beginning to get bogged down due to all the smart devices in my home so I upgraded to this. I wish there were more devices that could be on the system since the next jump up is approximately an extra $500 for more device connective, which is pretty steep. However, for the time being this works excellent for what I purchased, there has been no disruption in service or problems with streaming in the more remote areas of my house at all!

There are several brands and price ranges to choose from, so it was not an easy decision. I eventually got a recommendation from our internet provider, who recommended the Orbi Mesh system. We have had them for about two weeks now, and are extremely happy. The set up was fairly easy and straight forward with clear instructions in the box. It took about 10 to 15 minutes to get connected. We have good connection and speeds throughout our 5000 SF home, including basement. I definitely recommend this system as a mid price range.

I would get poor internet speeds at various ends and it was inconsistent. I did research on various mesh systems and I finally upgraded to the Netgear Orbi Mesh Wifi 6. It was easy to set up and now I have consistent fast internet speeds throughout my entire house and even some parts of my backyard. Highly recommend this system

The day I replaced with Orbi it was instantly and immediately faster for all smart devices, and general tv and computer use across entire house and outside. Awesome pricier!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great WIFI Been in my house for 5 years. Have an outdoor kitchen that I have never been able to get good WIFI there. Speeds were about 15mbs. After I installed the ORBI system I have great WIFI there and speeds run about 300mbs. A bit pricey but well worth the money

I'm not a big fan of cell phone app setup, but once initial setup is done the rest can be completed via web interface. Port forwarding for ssh was a bit confusing, but worked great once DHCP leases were renewed.

I have a gigabit(940Mbps) internet from COX and I get 930mbps using this set up at almost all the corners of the house. Its very reliable and secure as well. Best choice to buy from Costco.

We have had the Orbi RBK50 for over 3 yrs without any of the past issues and just made the switch to RBK753 for the great price break from Costco (during a chip shortage) and getting us on to a WiFi 6 system. Thanks and keep up the great work Orbi team!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast and full coverage My house (3,000 sqft) had several dead spots or places where my wifi was very slow. I pay for 300mbps, and usually was luck to get 150. The Orbi changed everything. It was easy to set up (I used it as the WAP with just one satellite). No more deadspots. My average speed is 360/350, and I have coverage even in my backyard. Fantastic product.

No issues since. Very happy with how powerful it is and has closed the distance gaps of my previous router. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AX4200 WiFi Mesh System (RBK753) 2.4 Ghz management issue I purchased and later returned this system to Best Buy. The problem I had was in getting the system to enable a 2.4 Ghz channel for existing fixed 2.4 Ghz clients in our home. The 5 Ghz clients all connected with no issues. Support had me ‘trick’ the system by turning the 5 Ghz power down to 25% and then increasing distance between my phone and the router until it put up a 2.4 Ghz channel. This worked for my phone by standing across the street), but the 2.4 Ghz security cameras still couldn’t connect. Putting my original Nighthawk router back in (minus the Orbi router and satellites) got everything connected again. I still need to implement wifi mesh, but it won’t be via Orbi components.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tech Support I need to amend an earlier review……..I was banging my head against the wall trying to set up Sonos speakers with the Orbi system. Having spent hours on the phone and a couple quick conversations with Netgear reps, I was connected with a support person who did a FANTASTIC job. He brought me off the ledge, spent two hours with me and solved the problem. Yes, it will mean factory resetting all my Sonos products, but now it will allow me to keep the Orbi mesh wifi that will now work seamlessly thru the house. All tech support should be this patient and caring. Now I will return to Netgear with all future business…..thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Upgrade to Single Router I replaced a NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 with this Orbi Mesh WiFi 6 system and am very happy with the upgrade. Set up was easy with the app and the ability to monitor/check status from a smart phone is great. Coverage in my home is much better in all rooms and even outside on the deck. A second TV in the kitchen works much faster with streaming Netflix, Hulu, etc. Speed is more consistent in all locations. It even fixed disconnect issues with a smart sprinkler timer. I highly recommend this mesh system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mesh it The AX4200 is an upgrade from the previous version that i loved. I installed other makers mesh systems for family that were cheaper and i didn't enjoy those. I actually felt bad after installing them. The Orbi systems are much higher on the price range but ive paid it twice. At least this system already came with the two satellites to cover my hole house. It was really easy to set-up and i had it all switched out quick. This was more of a future investment, The old Orbi system worked great after almost 3 years of use. I have easily over 30 items connected to my system and i also wired the hole house when i moved in but as a geek, i like to know that the system will keep up with me. The Orbi system workes great, all the way outside to the chicken coop and the solar panels.

The instructions were well written and easy to understand. All together, opening the box and reading the instructions took about 45 minutes to have it up and running with all my equipment. .

Set up via web interface with desktop was simple, quick and effective. Finally: we have complete 2-story home WIFI coverage with no dead spots! I had the Netgear X6 router which worked great, but we found dead spots when we installed security cameras. I made the upgrade to the Orbi AX4200 and have had no regrets. We have great (and speedy coverage throughout the house now.

I put master in my bedroom, one satellite in my living room, and the other satellite in a storage room, the distance between the master and the satellite in the storage room is less than 100 feet, I need the satellite in the storage room because I need to connect a wifi camera closed to it, the signal is horrible, most time is disconnected, even the wifi signal bar shown on my phone is 3 or 4 out 5 bars, I have to wait for long time for the webpage to be shown, sometimes. So no matter how many square feet they claim the product can cover, just divided by 2! You cannot trust them! The test is done is "Perfect" laboratory environment! LOL

I recent bought a NETGEAR Orbi Mesh WiFi 6 System and have had zero connection issues since. Setup was easy, I can monitor what is connected to my network on my phone, and have a strong network connection everywhere. I should have bought this a long time ago.

But since it has only dual band, I was getting only 1/2 or 1/3 the speed near the satellite devices. With Netgear, not only did I have coverage for the entire home (3200 sqft) but full speed everywhere. Keep in mind that it comes with a higher price.

We have smaller house but the cable company router couldn’t get the service out of the bedroom it was in. With Orbi, I’m getting 550 mbps on wifi in all rooms and beyond the yard in all directions. 10/10 would buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Increased Household Bandwidth and Speed This has been a huge upgrade from our previous setup. I was debating running Cat6 through the house to help with all the devices we have in the house. We live in 2000 sq ft house, we had 3 wifi extenders as well. This has saved me 8-10 hours of work having to run Cat6 as and drill through dry wall. Not only that but with the old setup we were getting only about 300mbps on wifi, now we are getting 720mbps consistently at peak hours. Mesh systems have changed the WiFi game. I would say that there is nothing like a good wired connection, but wow I'm impressed.
