Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a joke. It's NOT a router? This is ridiculous. I switched to fiberoptic from cable and now I'm being told that this Modem Router cannot be a router if it's not cable?! This is the first device I've ever seen that advertises itself as a router that cannot be put in router only or even AP mode. It still kind-of worked, but failed to connect about half of my WiFi devices as a router only, vs when it was used as a modem as well. Spent over an hour just waiting for customer support and was then told that this device is not a router unless it's also the modem. I have a 5 year old Nighthawk and a 7 year old Motorola that both can be modems or access points, but this is now a $600 paper weight!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cannot Disable SSID Broadcast Great device in every way except one: You cannot disable SSID broadcasting. I spent a while in the phone today with a very pleasant, helpful tech support specialist and not even he knew that was the case. If you want blazing speeds, very convenient setup and great coverage, this the modem/router, but if you want your wireless network to be hidden, it is not.

All roads led to Orbi. So happy I followed! Exceptional coverage! Nothing is buffering and everything connects quickly. Save yourself some grief and get this today!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never again.... I bought this device from an authorized dealer, paid top dollar, and device became defective within the warranty period. Contacted Netgear over 2 weeks ago, I now have more than 16 emails back & forth, phone calls (why??? but no new device has been forthcoming. Just being strung along. And along. And along. So I'll go out shortly to buy a Linksys to replace this and will also file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Would never purchase anything from Netgear EVER again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Orbi CBR750 I had been in the market for a modem and router combo. I especially looked at all the netgear equipment and I have to say the Orbi has exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking into it. My next buy will be the add on satellite to go with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1.4 Gbps from Xfinity! Please change your information page! Netgear identified and fixed an issue last year with a firmware update. Download speeds went from 600-700 Mbps to 1.4 Mbps on Xfinity. This is an awesome product. Truly, the only product to provide a whole house MESH network for my 5000 sqft house with one router and one satellite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hard to set up, but amazing coverage once I got this bad boy going. Took me literally 3 hours of trouble shooting because there are three ways to set up router/modem combo. Eventually after trying every option possible finally got it going. It was totally worth it though because now I can get my internet easily 5 to 8 houses away. I forget to turn my mobile coverage back on the internet is so good. Just would of gave it a five if they had an easier setup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from this unit only function as a cable modem - There is not an option to use it as only a router Purchase to product to extend the wifi in my home, but the product clearly is listed a cable modem/router. It should be capable of doing both function or just being used a router. Unfortunately, that is not the case it can only be used a modem. There is no option to use it only as a router.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not impressed for the price Bought it a little over a year ago and at least once every two months I have to reboot it cause the wifi doesn’t work and will not load anything. Have troubles trying to connect smart home items such as alexa, thermostat, my tv as well. My devices will lose connection out of no where at times.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! This modem/router combo is solid! I have been researching modem+router combos for the last six months because my 10 year old one was on its last legs. WiFi 6 and DOCSIS 3.1 are so called “future proof” and if I was going to spend $$$ those things were must have items. I had heard such good things about the Orbi units from friends, some saying they preferred the Orbi vs. a Nighthawk. A month ago, I saw this device appear on Cox Communications’ “certified modem list” a month ago and was patiently waiting for Netgear to release it. This weekend I purchased it and today it arrived! Setup was easy. Using the Orbi app and calling Cox to activate the unit. Soon as it was activated... wow! This thing is powerful with its two 5 GHz antennas and one 2.4 GHz, I am getting solid signal strength every where in my house and the speeds are fast - way faster than my old unit. I also loved that this comes with a wall Mount bracket - looks way better on the way then somewhere where the pets could knock it over. If you signup to receive Netgear’s email newsletter, you get 10% off. That helped with this purchase given the price point. Overall, very happy customer so far! Would recommend this device to any other customers who have Cox. A+

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Modem and Router Comcast is trying to claim that the Netgear Orbi is not compatible with 1.2 Gigabit Plan which is false. I did a Speedtest on the Orbi App and was putting out 1.4 Gigabit Speed!!!!

It makes my old modem/router feel like dial up internet. Seriously, don’t hesitate. This is the best option for an all-in-one cable/modem WiFi router.
