I searched online and did some research and the Nighthawk was a top hit. So far I really enjoy it, especially due to the fact that you can control many things through the app. I still have some loading issues here and there even though this router should have a lot of distance to it but hopefully it gets better!

I did have a little trouble setting up, tip turn off your previous Wi-Fi network before setting up. I do feel my internet is more stable and the devices we have are experiencing very little buffering. The app is pretty nice to have as well. You have the ability to see all devices on your network and control them individually.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from just what we needed after researching several brands and a few days of back and forth I chose the r7800 because of its range and adaptability. the setup took a few minutes on the computer - I do not have one of those smart phones yet - and after everything in the house learned/connected what an amazing difference. We were suddenly able to stream uninterrupted shows (quite the smile on the kids face as they had become accustomed to the buffering). pages load faster on the computer - since we are working from home now that is a most welcome feature as well. all I can say is it is a welcome upgrade and addition to our web and streaming!

It also exceeded my other hardware capabilities. So I have also purchased a Netgear GS316 switch to replace my Cisco switch. This will allow me to take full advantage of the gigabit Ethernet capability of the router. I am truly impressed by the thought that Netgear puts behind the design of their products. They are not only physically appealing, but the are a true work horse when it comes to performance.

But the app is not good and every time you try to access it requires you to "set up" your router each time. This makes managing your devices to optimize your signal a tedious process and defeats its purpose.

Got a modem and this beast called Nighthawk X4S AC2600 and I now have the speeds and reliability that I was promised. It’s so easy to control. The app helps me to momentarily ‘pause’ live gaming (my husband loves this feature, he LOVES it’ and I get to check the speeds to assure myself I can still connect to the WiFi from our backyard. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stable and Reliable Bought this router to replace the original router offered my by ISP, the set up was a bit more difficult than expected since the router comes with an old version of the firmware which glitches out with the app. Had to plug in the router directly to my computer and update the firmware that way because it would not interface with the app. Once this was completed the router works great! Stable smooth high speeds a dream come true especially after 6 months of unreliable slow frustrating connection issues with the stock router offered by ISPs highly recommended.

They could not provide any explanation other than “possible interference” (I live in an apartment complex with a lot of WiFi interference apparently. Technician came out, fixed it, still wasn’t getting great WiFi connection. Disconnected every day. Ordered the NetGear Nighthawk router and haven’t had a disconnection since!!!

This device automatically detected the issue and gave step by step instructions. The range is good and we have had 2 online multiplayer games going while 2 others devices stream video, along with two other devices using FaceTime, with no lag.

But the nighthawk gives you that option. The only I wish it had was the option to put time limits on devices connected to the WiFi. Anyways, setup was straight forward and quick. Internet is very fast. It actually gives up to the maximum speed my internet provider’s plan advertised (in my case it was 350 mbs). I love my new nighthawk!!

I love how I have total control if each connection using the ios app and the full feature Genie program on the computer allows for additional control, modification if system, and parental controls. The ios app was supposed to have parental control but when I contacted them they said it is coming (rolling out product by product. There is so much mite this can do that I am still exploring (usb and SATA storage, etc). Very happy so far.

There is a little bit of a lag between the device and the app in notification to user of loss of internet connectivity. That is the reason for a 4 star review instead of a 5 star review. I believe that that is an issue more so with the Nighthawk app and not so much the router, which means that this review could change in the future with the release of a better or updated app.

The guest network is also a great feature. If someone is over or doing work you can setup the guest for an hour or all day or all week. Very impressed with my router.

All devices inside and a security camera outside connect and give a good signal. The USB feature works well with a printer. I have aver 17 devices connected to it and all of them run smoothly. I have noticed a very quiet high pitched sound coming from the router but it does not bother me and is only noticeable when it is absolutely silent in the room. Great product.

I’m paying for 400 mbps internet and have never seen more than 250 with the provided router. Since installing the Nighthawk I consistently see 390-400 mbps and I couldn’t be happier, barring my provider supplying anything better than 400 mbps, which the Nighthawk cannot help. Thank you Netgear for making hardware that actually allows me to get the bandwidth I’m paying for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing router, well priced My old C7000 router/modem had gone bad, so I decided to turn it into a modem and bought the R7800 to use as my router. Setup was a plug and play essentially, more configuration was needed on the modem side. I am very happy with the speed here; I pay for 200 mbps down and get at least 250mbps through 5ghz. I like the orange indicator on the router showing that the devices connected only get 100 mbps. I also live in a big house (5000 square feet) and when strategically placed, 5G covers the whole house. I would buy this router, or the updated version without a doubt. I also like the configurations you can set. I use IP reservations, QoS, and dynamic DNS. All were easy with this modem. The only gripe I can think of, is that the list of devices aren’t really a list, but a table. Still doesn’t take away from the 5 star rating.

We have at a minimum of 7 devices hooked up at all times including TVs, laptops, phones, DS game and our printer. I really like that I can manage the router from my phone. I can test the internet speed and turn off internet to a device from my phone (this is helpful with a teenager who would rather play games than do schoolwork). We have not had nearly as much buffering while watching YouTubeTV or Netflix. It was extremely easy to set up.

I choose the Nighthawk X4S because it was on sale, and had great reviews. What I was not prepared for was how amazing this product actually is. It was easy to set up and customize, has great control either with your PC or the phone app and the speed and range of its wireless output is AMAZING! Could not be happier with my choice.

Our old system couldn’t keep up with the demand. We upgraded our service and got a new modem but our old router was way out of date (couldn’t push the upgraded signal, could barely handle all the devices, and lacked security features. We did some research and identified the Nighthawk as the best router for all our needs. After install, we noticed an immediate improvement! The Nighthawk easily handles our daily videoconferencing (oftentimes overlapping on multiple devices) on top of normal internet traffic for a family of five; in addition, the Nighthawk was easy to set up and pair with our other devices; finally, it has the security features we need. Great product!

Now, I peak at 100mbps with drops going as low as 30mbps. I never had a problem with gaming over Wi-Fi, but now I can't play anything since I always lag.

Once I hardwired this in, I actually ended up multiplying my speeds by 5-10x on my highest read. The best part? WiFi that reaches my master bathroom on the other end of the house! Let alone improved gaming and zero issues with 5-10 devices at a time. Would recommend for ANYONE, even just someone looking to stream anywhere at maximum speed.

Actually, three separate networks, as my wife works from home and her work provides a dedicate router. Setup was pretty seamless and that there have been no glitches to date. I would definitely recommend.

Picked this up after getting an Oculus Quest headset because I wanted to be able to wirelessly stream VR content from my computer to the headset, and it has performed flawlessly. The auction lasts roughly 6-7 hrs. one night a year. It would then sit in its box for the entire year in a climate controlled storage room. We pulled it out this year for our annual auction and it won’t even power on. Extremely disappointed and frustrated that we spent $180 for a router that didn’t work more than 2 days! Just fortunate that I had started setup the day before and not the morning of the auction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect if you know how to use it I purchased this router because I wanted to have my home network encrypted behind a VPN. Even before I tweaked the settings and the whole process of installing the VPN, this router had some awesome speeds. The WiFi speeds were incomparable to what the router from my ISP has been producing. In my living room, I use the 5Ghz option and 2.4 Ghz for the other rooms. 5Ghz is a monster! The speeds and stability are one of a kind. Now my main purpose, the router is so easy to configure in order to install a VPN. As long as you do some little research before doing it, you can't go wrong. Definitely speeds may drop a little once the VPN servers are active, but that depends on the choice of VPN and servers chosen. This router has great specs that enables it to deliver that performance that most other routers supporting OpenVPN clients cannot. OpenVPN clients on a router take up a lot of resources and you need to select a proper router, otherwise you will have slow and unstable connections. R7800 is one such beasts. So far so good.

We have NO internet in the rural area in which we live, so we had resorted to a mobile hotspot with a dedicated phone line. Yet, I still could not get connection in every room in the house. My son recommended this router and he was 2000% on the money with that suggestion. No more popping off in the middle of a communication, tv show or other internet based activity. I’m very pleased with this purchase!

I am very glad I chose this option though I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase the more expensive models for future use. This router was a large upgrade in network traffic and device count. I consistently get 110 download speed with just under 12 upload with 7 ms ping no matter where I am in out two story 2400 sq ft house. The software was simple and easy to use with completely setup in 30 minutes including swapping wires and devices.

Not only was it an suggestion for an advanced gaming router but specifically a Netgear brand was a more advised direction to go. I'm more than pleased with my choice but who knows, maybe in the future I'll upgraded to the latest gaming router. Now in fairness I'd say when the router is connected and functioning it works very well. However, it constantly reboots randomly and apparently many people experience the same issues. I work from home professionally which requires a constant reliable connection which is the original reason why I purchased a high end router. I'm technically inclined and have done a factory restore, updated to many different version of firmware and have not received any relief. I've measured log data and done my best to replicate the events that would cause a full router reboot. I bought this with Netgears great reputation on the market especially with reliable high performance gaming purposes but any random disconnect greatly affects my business and game streaming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Massive improvement As my wife and I have moved into a new and larger home to accommodate our growing family, we found that our current router and modem were not able to reach the entire house. With this router and our new modem we have the best streaming/browsing/gaming experiences we have had since moving. It was super easy to set up and all my devices connected seamlessly. It was a good buy and investments for my family as all of my children’s schooling has been shifted to online curriculum due to covid-19. I recommend this product to anyone looking for and upgrade.

My old Netgear was about 5 years old and when it started to kick off systems that had been on there the whole time at random, no matter what I updated or removed, I knew it was time to upgrade. So I did some research. Not only is this one highly recommended for gaming systems and people who stream a lot (of which My roommate and I do both) I decided it was time for an upgrade. I found one at the store I work at and it was on sale from $250 to $175. I knew that it was a sign that this was the one and I’ve had it for a few days now and it’s been the best thing. My systems are running efficiently and much faster than they were, my search times are significantly reduced and I’ve never been more pleased with a purchase. I’ll definitely be continuing to buy from Netgear for a long while (and knowing this one will most likely last just as long as my other one did).

The only thing I recommend for improvement is to upgrade the web interface, it looks really outdated (hasn't changed in at least 3 generations of routers I've owned, come on!) Other than that, I'd highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Switch/Router Combination Replaced my all-in-one cable modem/switch/router which was failing regularly with a Netgear Cable Modem and this AC2600 Smart Router. It has been working without missing a beat both as a switch for my wired devices and as a WiFi Router. Setup was very simple. Another benefit is the strength of the WiFi signal. I had to use a network extender with the old unit but this one has more than enough power to cover the whole house and reach out to the back yard. I would recommend this unit to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Netgear R7800 I purchased this router along with a Netgear CM500V cable modem to replace a very poorly performing Comcast cable/modem. The Comcast router which is built into the modem had virtually no Wi-Fi capability in our home. After some due diligence I opted for the Netgear R7800. To date it has done what I need it to do which is run a few Amazon Echos, and 2 I- pads . It is doing so, much better than the old cable/modem and I get to save $11.00/mo on the Comcast bill by not renting their equipment. Configuration was easy and the Ntegear Genie app. makes monitoring the router's performance simple as well.

I did and had it operational in 30 minutes and have been delighted ever since. I just hope it's still in my house after Hurricane Florence blows through...and that I actually have a house.

I don't even think about my internet anymore, and certainly don't curse it 10x a night anymore. Now I can do it all - stream 4K video while working on line and printing, plus using my phone and tablet. I am very pleased with the Nighthawk 4S! And set up was uber easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful 5GHz signal This is the first router that has been able to push a usable 5GHz single to far corners of my home. 2.4GHz is saturated in my neighborhood with over 30 base stations broadcasting. 5GHz provides empty channels and with MU-MIMO the X4S is preforming great.

I paired this with a new modem and where before we barely got the 25 mbps, I'm consistently getting well over 100 now. Most of my equipment is pretty far from the router, but it's still incredibly consistent.

I bought this router because my house is too large for the Frontier FIOS router I had been using. In fact, with the original router, I needed to set up 4 additional hardwired "zones" each with their own WiFi routers. The Nighthawk 4S AC2600 is handling the entire house with no issues. This includes Netflix, Apple tv and teenagers. I could not recommend this router more highly.

If anyone else is having an issue, make sure to update to latest firmware then do a factory reset by holding the pin button on the back of the device. Now it is working like a charm and is a big upgrade from my last router.

I have more than 12 devices connected to the hard & wi-fi altogether, then the certain devices have to use 2.4 GHz radio frequency in order to perform properly. We’ve had it for a few years now and it still lets us stream on multiple devices, heavy online work with images and online gaming simultaneously. Every now and then it requires a reset, maybe twice/month. We were considering upgrading, but this one is still handling everything we throw at it so we haven’t been able to justify it.

The signal from the routers penetrate all the dense walls with a great signal. All the TVs and devices operate flawlessly and compliment my “smart home”. It support ht160 channel bonding which paired with my latest wifi card I have speeds as if my laptop was plugged in to the router itself. Highly recommend you getting this router.

AC2600 is perfect for me and works really well especially to connect multiple devices including my TV, several smart phones, iPad, PCs. I am very satisfied and would recommend it to others.

In every single way the R7800 was an advancement to the positive. The wireless speed is fast and solid, the set-up is extremely fast and easy and the app makes controlling your network 100x easier for fast checkups; updating firmware, checking connected devices and doing speed tests. This is a must have. 70% of everything in our house is wifi and I needed something that could meet the demand of that. You can control how much people are pulling the bandwidth so every else can watch shows or play games without much interference.

We just moved to a new place and immediately realized we had serious issues connecting to the internet (the new place is a bit off the grid so it was to be expected). Anyway, we originally bought the older netgear but it didn't quite do the trick... so we upgraded to this one and *BAM* we had PERFECT connection!! It was super easy to install and we love the app that comes with it as well! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone in need of an awesome commection!! It used to take my son 9 hours to download Fallout 4 on his Xbox due to the location of his room with respect to the router. After installing the Nighthawk, he completed the install in 3 hours!

I have a ranch with a large stone fireplace in the middle, and we were continually having to manage extenders. Not so with this router. The only issue I have is that the antennas readily move if knocked into. Otherwise, well worth the money. Very easy to set up. :)

I returned it to Sams and used the same money to buy this Nighthawk X4s. This Nighthawk is the absolute BEST router I have ever owned, I work for a VoIP provider as a network engineer and this Nighthawk does everything I need and more! Do not even consider buying anything other than a Netgear Nighthawk.

This router was a breeze to set up, and it also did away with the need to have a relay router in the middle of the house. My wife's end of the house (a quilt studio was previously getting 25 mbps out of a router with a relay. With this one, she's getting 50 with NO relay! I'm getting the full 100+ mbps my service delivers in the rest of the house. Highly recommend.

I previously had the AC1700 and it was alright but the range wasn’t enough. Even tho it says it’s max distance, put into consideration walls and doors in home. Well made product. So far I’m liking the ability to control how much internet is used by everyone in the house and also being able to cut the WiFi off from the kids when it’s bedtime. Only issue I’m finding is that I’m not able to browse certain websites and it won’t allow one of my devices to log onto it. Another thing I notice is that the range isn’t as good as they said it would be. This router is better for a home 2000sqft and not 2600. Other than those issues I’m liking it thus far.

After doing some research I finally decided to spend the big bucks on the Nighthawk X4S. Money well spent! Everyone is now happy as we get great signals throughout the house. At last count we had 23 devices connected and we are still able to stream movies while everyone is surfing the web on tablets, phones, computers. After years of fighting poor service I am finally a happy camper.

This nighthawk x4s router took care of my issues and is so simple to set up and use. I highly recommend this router. I normally run 10 devices or more and it handles them all with no issue. Believe it or not I am so impressed with this router that the speeds and range was way Extremely better than the Apple router ever had. I was literally getting download speeds of 500kbs and Xfinity kept telling me my router and my internet were working fine. I got this nighthawk router with a net gear modem and my download speeds over WIFI are now 170mbs. I'm absolutely blown away and now I can return this garbage xfinity router.

Didn't like my HP 2652 Inkjet printer at first. After some playing with the Printer it started working great. The router did lose sync with one of my Laptops, after the Laptop was turned off for a week. Haven't had that problem again though. Over all the router is working good.

The firmware would not update through the app, had to use computer. Also when saving changes would not confirm save changes the site would freeze.

Both 2.4 and 5 Ghz coverage is strong throughout my 3400 sqft two story home. I found the configuration for the system to be pretty easy and yet it still had advanced access and services controls. While the lights up front are bright, I wish they were clearly marked to match the port config in the back. I'm pushing 230Gbit on 200Gbit Spectrum line. So far it's outperformed my top of the line Apple

I live in a older home with a lot of thick walls all around and this thing has no problem not only reaching me in my room but the speed is there too. On the farthest end of my house I paired the router with an x6s mesh extender and furthered my coverage even more so now I can access it from across the street. The router is equipped with a multitude of options that any novice or advanced user can make use of. Finally the initial setup of it was easy peasy. Out of all the purchases I've made this holiday season, this is without a doubt my favorite. I look forward to continue using and playing with my R7800.

Still one printer, but three computers, the phones, and to wireless TVs. At any given time we have for it five things connected, and the old router just couldn't do it. It wasn't really designed to. So time for an upgrade, and we choose this. Things have changed a lot since we got that first one. We were up and running in about five minutes. Set up was so easy that my wife could do it. Trust me, that's saying something. Had it for a couple of weeks now with no issues. The management software is also very easy and intuitive. I'm glad that we choose this one. Works great.

We had lots of lag and buffering, but now with 5 TV's streaming Netflix, Hulu, You Tube, and Direct TV Now, even at the same time, we do not have buffering or lag. We also have baby cams, ring door bell, multiple Echo devices, smart plugs, smart lights laptops, tablets and printers. The Nighthawk X4S delivered high performance as promised. So easy to set up and use, it was worth every penny.

Just connect the internet port on the X4S to a port on your modem and the genie will walk you through the rest of the setup process on your web browser. Control and monitor functions and traffic via the nighthawk app on your smart device and that's it! with a wide reaching 5Ghz, and a strong 2.4Ghz, I no longer have wi-if dead zones or speed drops. Best router i've ever owned so far.

I set it up, installed the latest firmware, connected my approx 20 devices and haven't touched it since. No dropped connections or resetting the router yet. Plus I'm getting the speed I'm paying my cable company for, over wired and wireless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than privoder modem/router combos If your provider has leased you a router modem combo trade it in for a modem and use this, they promise high speeds but the product they give you doesnt allow those speeds. After I setup my nighthawk and dissabled the modem/router combos wifi it jumped from 14mbps download to 400 With more than 7 devices using the network at once.

The old router had limited download bandwidth and poor fluctuating signal at times. The Nighthawk has tripled my download speed and I get full signal now two rooms away. I was even able to replace my usb wireless device that I had to have on top of my desk (to even get a signal), with one that plugs right into the computer under my metal desk. Setup was extremely easy. Happy with purchase.

It is nice to have a router that works throughout the house. The advanced features allows anyone to configure their network and tailor it to their needs. One of my favorite features of the X4S is the ability to setup OpenVPN to connect to your network securely. I purchased Netgear, both modem and router and have been extremely happy with ease of set up and how well they work as far as range and strength. Range and strength are a problem with our house. Steel beams correcting basement problems hinder the signal. We haven't noticed. We rely/demand a lot from internet. With the right package from the internet provider, Netgear modem CM 7000 and router R 8000 uploads have never been smoother. I'm very happy to have done the homework, read the reviews and purchased Netgear!

I pay for gig soeed from FiOS and the router from FiOS was only giving me about 300mbps and terrible range. Since moving to the X4S the wifi speed now hits 800mbps and the range has almost doubled. The router offered all of the features I was looking for along with a great web interface and mobile application to manage my home network. It was easy to set up the router to attach an external hard drive for the wireless backup of multiple MacBook Pro's. Would highly recommend.

I am streaming television, music, etc. on four stations and recording shows too through a MoCA connection. In addition, I am running a security camera system and able to control lighting in my home. Of course our computers, printer, iPads, and iPhones use it daily. I even was able to install a hard drive right on the Nighthawk for easy backups. I've not a lot of experience with networking but this was easy to set up. I'm better at taking a computer apart. It works really well. The other routers I had would not handle the load. This router really performs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product and Speed I had an older model Nighthawk router for our home’s primary DSL line. We needed to add a 2nd DSL line and I wanted another Nighthawk. There is nothing wrong with the older Nighthawk but I have to say the new router is AMAZING with the extended coverage for the entire house. So far, we have had no glitches and great connectivity with multiple devices at the full capacity of the DSL line. I would highly recommend this router.

I had an old Asus router that couldn’t keep up to the demand from my household and went with this nighthawk on a whim. Couldn’t be happier! 2 phones, 5 tablets, 2 PCs, 3 TVs, 4 Amazon Echos and the router in my downstairs. Covers all 2700sq ft, no more lag when the kids game, or stream movies. We have always used Apple routers in the past and this was even easier. So far speeds are solid, no connection issues or anything. Very happy with this router

It would suggest we move the wifi count closer when it was literally right next to the other one. Netgear nighthawk offers amazing coverage...even out to our garage located kn in the back of the property. Great product.

I have always had connectivity issues, issues with stability, reboots or latency problems. After I purchased this router, all of the issues are gone! I've set it up once, with static IP addressss for internal Network and external access and everything just works. And if I need to quickly delete a device,kblocked access or do someth8ng else, I can do it straight from my phone using a Nigthhawk app. I couldn't be happier with it's power and reliability. I'm able to get perfect signal in a two story, 1,500sq ft house. Plus in the backyard and all the way into my detached garage!

Never a hiccup, plenty of range, and transfer speeds on my two external drives setup to readyshare are pretty dang ridiculous. Can copy a gig in like 20 seconds. Beast router, get one.

The only other complaint are the LED's are way too bright. You can turn all of them off except the power light but that's still bright enough to illuminate a dark room. Overall this is a quality router and I'd recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not as advertised. Glitchy. I would like an exchange or refund. I bought this under the gun before my gift card expired. I admit I did not install it right away. However, the two primary reasons I made this purchase are null and void as they are not as advertised. 1. The Genie App. The Genie app is dead and unsupported. When installed on my new Galaxy S10+, it directs me to the Nighthawk app with less features. 2. Parental controls. This device makes it seem as though with or without Disney Circle it is a great family router. Unfortunately it is NOT compatible with Circle. As for any scheduling of access times, sites reached, or total online time this router FAILS. When I "turn off" or pause access for an individual device it does nothing. Despite applying aggressive filtering on a child's laptop that device has had continous access to some of the most dangerous sites on the Internet. 3. I knew I was in trouble when specific setups like Google Hub, Logitech and LIFX specifically ask if you have a Nighthawk router in their troubleshooting (which I needed special workarounds for several. There are so many more unexplained failures and no noticeable difference in range than our nearly 10 year old router. Each smart device took several tries to set up. To be fair our 1Gb connection has been pretty good. That said the set up frustrations combined with failure in the areas which inspired the purchase make it not worth it. We are no longer in the standard exchange period, but being that this information was innacurate (still is) at the time of purchase I would like to be contacted about an exchange. Thank you.

After I replaced ATT router with this monster, no disconnection issue any more, and I have strong signal across my 2500 sqft house. Great produtct.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from strong and reliable signal this router is great, i had a tp-link router that had a flaky signal that would drop randomly and have lags. this router has a very strong signal that covers my 2 story w a basement home. the signal is great (both 2g and 5. it improved the wireless gaming effort on call of duty games as well. but more importantly, it doesnt randomly stop sending a signal that plagued the tp-link and caused me to turn off then on the wireless button. great router!!!

It has put out some awesome WiFi speeds and I have not had any connection issues since using this router. I have been able to control traffic as wanted, as well as setup temp guest signals if needed. I have it paired with a NETGEAR CM1200 modem and they are working like a dream team for my needed setup. No issues with gaming via Ethernet or WiFi. This is with both MMO and FPS.

I upgraded to this router while still using the old router to extend my wifi range and prioritize the devices in my house. This router did the job and my internet does not get interrupted by the other devices in the house on the same internet. I have one network for me and the other network for all the other devices. Easy setup and install of the router as well as management using the Nighthawk App. My WiFi speeds are now where it should be and has been consistently delivering the speeds since switching over from the ISP provided router. Online gaming on the 5Ghz band is sweet and being able to create a guest access for the occasional visits is also a plus! Hoping the router continues to perform this way for long time.

It allegedly supports a large number of devices (supposedly 55 or 32 per channel but actually even with about 25 devices connected it dumps connections about 5-10 times per day for every device, which is really really irritating.

With adding both these products I now have WIFI in places outside my home, that I never did before ! Very pleased I was able to install this myself.

Setup is straightforward and well documented, while giving easy access to all advanced features to tweak and customise settings for expert users. Range in my old house with rather solid walls is excellent, ease of setting up guest networks and managing resources makes it very versatile. The additional option to streamline backing up through the router is the cherry on top. Very happy customer and at long last a router that does not require any compromise between speed, security and ease of management.

Before i bought this one i had a tp-link and i couldn’t stream movies very well and wifi signal was horrible, once my new night hawk came in i was very impressed. Used the centurylink product as a modem only. Basically plugged in the router and we were up and running. Wish we would have purchased this router way sooner than we did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I neded After struggling with pushing wifi to 5 devices in the house, and tired of hearing complaints from the wife and kids about no connection, I finally took the plunge and upgraded our router. After reviewng many routers and talking with my IT friend, the Nighthawk 2600 was the clear cut choice. In this rice range, most other routers had substantially lower AC ratings which is crucial for signal strength. Set up was easy and its working like a champ. Highly recommended. I would have given it 5 stars, but having only owned for about a week, not sure how it will do over time.

Did the installation myself and it was the easiest system install I have done in a while. Really like the NETGEAR app for managing the router. Terrific products.

The range is great, works throughout my house, 2900 sq ft one level, with no dead spots and has good range outside too. I would recommend this router to anyone!

Installing the Nethawk saw an immediate increase of over 140, which makes streaming Netflix and Hulu without freezes and glitches joyful

Still trying to get better wifi speeds, maybe its because house is old, big chimney in the center... Just got fiber optic and hoped that speeds would be better...

I have 2 Wi-Fi garage doors and they cannot pick up the signal in my home and the house is under 2k sq ft. I will try to use a signal booster if I can find one that is compatible with this unit.
