I like the way that when you add a device the security sends a message that there is a device is trying to connect. Using my cell phone to change settings and make changes is a breeze. It very much worth the money I spent.

We got this thing hooked up, no more dropping, and a super expanded range. Could definitely notice faster response when web surfing and device like cameras showed a noticeable reduction in lag time when communicating with the supporting apps. Range is good and appear to address some dead spot we had with our older unit.

Since I got the Nighthawk running, it has not gone down, and that has been a week so far. I like the web interface. The monitor alerts on my phone are a bit obnoxious, but that service will only last a month for free, at which time I will cancel it.

I haven’t had a single buffering issue while streaming across multiple devices both wired and wireless simultaneously. From phones, tablets, laptops and gaming consoles - you just can’t kill the beast. Thanks Netgear for a great product and easy to use supporting application.

If you use pi-hole or AdGuard Home, you will only see the requests coming from the router and not the client, which prevents you from troubleshooting a malware event or having client specific settings.

I love the parental controls and timers for the kids technology. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good but not great After reading countless articles and watching many reviews on the latest routers, I figured it would be much better to buy the top ones and try myself to see which one would be the better one to keep. I had high hopes for this router since most of the reviews said that it provides the fastest speeds. However, it wasn’t the case for me as I could not reach even over 500mbpd download and upload on my fiber connection through Wifi 6 with the proper settings. The router also doesn’t have many gaming features. Ultimately, I found the one I liked from another manufacturer and ended up returning this one. Overall its good, but definitely not great considering the price.

Only issue was I needed to look up online how to switch over from the ATT router since the instructions didn’t give that information. Once I had that, set up was easy and I never lost connection during the process.

I decided to invest in a Netgear router and modem, it was expensive, but has been worth every penny! I no longer pay the stupid Comcast rental fee, plus I didn’t pay to upgrade grade my internet, and now my internet never drops, is fast, easy to connect, and stays connected, just by changing my router and modem, plus I can control it all from my phone, like I can turn it off when I want my kids off the computer. Highly recommend, has definitely been worth the investment!

When looking for a replacement, I not only wanted the fastest speed I could get (we have fiber to the house but also handle the load we were putting on it. This fits the bill nicely! We have outstanding signal throughout our home and outside in the yard. I highly recommend this router if you are running multiple streaming devices.

My ping was very high and I would lag a lot. My FPS would drop drastically whenever I encounted a player in the game. However, ever since I bought the NETGEAR Nighthawk AX12/12-Stream AX11000 WiFi Router, Wi-Fi 6 (RAX200. My ping is near zero and I have never had any FPS drops. Netgear is the best router you can buy to play online games without lagging or having high ping so you actually get better frames per second in the game. Netgear has multiple antennas which boosts the Wi-Fi signal so that there is no lag in online games.

We had lightning hit and cooked on unit, then the older unit we shelved for a back, just didn’t meet the demands. This AX11000 is amazing. Easy to set up, blistering speeds and solid application functionality make this our choice. NETGEAR had proven to be reliable out of the box and it’s a good thing as their support sucks. That being said this unit is built to meet today’s demands and the future with WiFi 6 compatibility. It cost more than most but so far out performs all competition.

I am on 930mb fttp previous smart hub 2 WiFi 5 was getting 11mb WiFi now WiFi 6 and getting 850mb WiFi and 1gb fttp. If you are using latest tech and u are using WiFi 5 router then u need to up grade router to 6 or 6e but make sure service provider supports 3rd party router this bit of kit is awesome my WiFi range has gone from lvn rm to now nearl 5 houses away I am streaming effortlessly in 4K

The hardest thing was changing the Router name and password and that is easy. I have used Netgear for over 10 years and have never been disappointed.

I know majority of big companies are moving to the all in one(router/modem together). If that is the case you will have to use this as an access point which will not allow you to use IPV6 feature.

I called up NETGEAR customer service and gave them the situation on what was going on. They help me out on solutions and we both agreed on upgrading to a different model. With an very extensive list on newer models and which ones were with my current internet provider, we came to choosing the Nighthawk AX11000. Once I got it in hand and unboxed, the card for quick start was super easy and very user friendly. Once plugged in, app downloaded and everything updated, it was up and running. Since the switch the the Nighthawk AX11000, we were able to connect to all devices especially the ones that were having issues previously. Also having 3 different channels to help with the load of devices connected, there hasn’t been any buffering issues at all. Definitely worth the purchase!

I never had an issue with my previous Netgear routers in the past. I decided to finally upgrade my home with a new router and decide to stay with a Netgear product. I chose the the RAX200 router after researching several other routers and mesh systems. The type of internet usage that is being used at my home didn't require my family and I to venture towards a state of the art router. The RAX200 was a perfect system blend of speed, functionality, and coverage for our home. The router has performed very well and beyond our expectations. We have had great quality of internet service with no interruptions or loss of wireless signal. The only displeasure I have is with the Netgear Nighthawk App. It has a reflection of an app that was just thrown together and not streamed to have a better communication or controls of the router. One example is when I try to manage my devices, it tends to not save the editing or will reset the changes back to their original descriptions. So, besides my discord with the Nighthawk App, the wireless router RAX200 is one of the best devices I have purchased in awhile and would highly recommend it to any of my family or friends. Thanks Netgear the great device!

For me to say “Not for the faint of heart” is true especially when your internet providers decides to have issues. The Nighthawk RA200 is by far one of the best products I’ve come across in a long time. Once my internet came back up, using the app on my phone I was up and surfing the web. The app truly surprised me. Powerful, customizable and reliable. If your in to tech I highly recommend this device. Way to Netgear. One very reluctant IT professional turned to a happy customer and believer in Netgear products.

It has the capability to keep up with technology and the increase in internet speeds. Netgear support was very helpful in setting up my router and troubleshooting any issues I had. The AX11000 does just that. Originally we tried another router when we upgraded our modem. And after only a few weeks sent that one back and order this one. I should have gotten this to begin with because nothing else compares.

I moved to another house a few months ago and decided to upgrade my router to a Netgear AX11000 for better security. The setup was easy and I got it fully working, but for some reason, it kept going back to it's default mode, saying I had to do the setup again. I tried multiple times but had the same issue, so I've sent it back for a refund. I think the problem may be from my new house's WiFi service. I'm planning to buy another identical router from a local Best Buy store and get their help setting it up and finding out why I had a problem with the first one.

After informing about my system, they suggested the RAX200. Great suggestion. Installation went fast and easy. The nighthawk phone app was extremely helpful with the setup of the router and the setup of my two E8000 extenders. Presently I have over 30 devices on the system and all are working fine. In our home we have 9 best smoke/co detectors,nest, WiFi door locks, 4 laptops, 1 desktop, printer, 2 iPads, 4 iPhones, 3 Apple TV’s and even our fan is connected to WiFi. With our stay at home order we were having massive problems running online school for 2 and work for 2 at the same time. Zoom was freezing and we were paying for 1000 MBs if speed. Nothing worked until we bought this router. Not only do we now all have fast internet throughout the entire house, our neighbors across the street tell us they can see our network in their backyard! Best investment we have made to help navigate the demands of our Smart Home.

With two working from home, two kids in distance learning, in laws staying with us, and most of us wanting to stream or use video I knew the old device wouldn’t cut it. I was pleasantly surprised with the integrated VPN server and USB for storage attachment. The setup was fairly easy, although I have enterprise device experience. You may need to call “that friend” for a little bit of help. Overall could not be happier, I would buy this again in a heart beat. That I can shut off my VPN and Storage service on my desktop was an added bonus. WiFi 6 WPA 3 great features!

It’s really fast. I’m in a town home and installed the Nighthawk on the 2nd floor of my 3 floor home. It’s fast. Really fast. Turn on the Smart Connect feature and let the device manage the bands. Why all the fuss with ...”Which channel or which band?” What’s faster? Want to know what’s faster? Easy setup. Want to know what else is faster? The speed and quality I’m getting over the three pods wired backhaul Google WiFi i installed. There’s about 20 devices on our network at any given time. Streaming 4K in multiple rooms. An Xbox and PS4. Numerous phones. Numerous laptops and we both work from home. Honestly you guys are all really silly. If your house is tall, Nighthawk. If your house is wide, i think Nighthawk would be just as good as Orbi. Add the extender. Dont worry too much about chipsets or multi gig port. You’re probably not going to need it anyway. Yes its $600, its a commitment. But in my opinion... pull the trigger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SmartConnect Won't fixed a channel to Orbi Outdoor I connect this router to Orbi Outdoor Tri-band Mesh Extender. The Extender requires channel > 100 for better connection. But the "Smart"connect option constantly decides and switches between channel 44 and channel 153 for the Extender, which leads to poor connection. Moreover, that setup can't be used together with another EAX80 wifi6 dual-band extender. The EAX80 randomly decides to take input signal from Orbi Extender or vise-versa, which leads to two extenders connect to each other without data from router. Really "Dump"connect, not "Smart"connect

Performance was fine, features were mostly OK but I could never figure out how to keep it from advertising itself as a DNS server via DHCP. Was running link aggregation to my CM, worked fine. Biggest minus is no dual-WAN support. Unfortunately today I got an email the Netgear is discontinuing it's free dynamic dns service, so it is time to replace it. It won't be with an Netgear product, unfortunately.

Literally EVERYONE is streaming in 4k and no slowdown. Just be careful as it will take off and start assimilating programs.

Being able to control 3 dofferent networks and manage what device can be active on each network is very nice feature. Overall very satisfied so far

Needed to cover 3 floors, 25 connections (although probably only 15 active at any point in time). So, to the store, back and set up, all connections reset, all in under 3 hours. Slick setup and the android app gives some flexibility to shut down certain devices (i.e. turn off late night access to insta-whatever the current flavor). I was in a hurry so probably overpaid - check prices..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from way to many problems On my second unit, the first quit completely and netgear could not get it going again so they replaced it. Have had the new one for several months and it keeps drop signal. Last night it did an update and now will not connect to the internet. Last time it did this netgear claimed my modem changed and it had not. Had to reset to factory to get it working again. Looks like I will have to try that again. Netgear phone support has been no help and I am fed up with this $600 router that keeps having problems. My r8000 still works fine and has never had any issues, just wanted to get a faster modem and it was a mistake.

Went to chat and got the run-around. They claim no record of purchase in spite of having sent the the receipt. I am stuck with complex setup ad no phone support I paid for, and they are asking me by email to pay for support at double the price in what seems like bait and switch. What a hassle!

Router has been connected for over a month with no issues and signal increased across the house compared to previous router. Great upgrade and now prepped for WiFi 6 when the need arrives!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best to Date Had my Linksys lose it 5ghz signal, kept having problems with it and decided to replace it with the Netgear Nighthawk AX12. Easy to setup using my smartphone and the Nighthawk app up in about 15 minutes. Nice to have the ability to designate one of the 5ghz signal for the smart TV and for streaming and the other for my laptops and such. Very worth the cost and would do it again.

And actually this router has slower CPU and only 2.5G port which is compare to RAX120 with 5G port? To be fair I am impressed with the Wifi speed and it is stable. Only thing is I cannot disable DoS and Portscan protection not sure if it is because of it is in ROUTER mode? Not recommending is because the higher cost does not justify the slower CPU slower port compare to a lower model RAX120 although I understand this is triband router. And most importantly no WPA3 despite some online vendor description and again RAX120 has it from day one!

I have my PC, my television, two tablets, four smart phones, my brinks home security system with indoor and outdoor wireless cameras, motion sensors, windows and door contact sensor, garage door controller, my new truck, and multiple accessories like my Harmany all in one remote control for my theater system to my Hughes lighting system and more. With the smart connect I don’t have to give my password out when friends visits and want to connect to my Wi-Fi. All my friends family colleagues acquaintances just have to be near my smart phone that is connected to the router and they can connect without me having to put my password in their phone. Or Even better I can login to the Netgear app and create a guest pass with an allotted amount of time that I approve them to use my WFi wether it be one hour, one day, one week etc. with the guest pass on the NETGEAR app I can monitor the usage. And even with all of these items connected to the router I have yet to experience any lag or delay in my Wi-Fi. It is by far the fastest and most advanced router I’ve ever owned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Previously had a Night Hawk for almost 5 years till sadly it died. The next day we did some reviews and found this one and jumped. Setup was easy (minus I hate the app stuff I miss the old school hook into it and setup but times change and you adapt. After setup and updating we starting connecting devices and wow what a deference with things running between gaming consoles and smart tvs and phones everything is running great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Little brother is better I got this to try to run as my main router and bridge my network on other side of my house with rax120 via ethernet. I found the rax 200 gave me wireless speeds significantly lower than just using the rax120 as main router. Bridging the two was impossible and the app was a nightmare. I finally gave up, sent the rax200 back and bridged the rax120 with my old airport extreme. Now i have whole house coverage. Just not wifi 6 in half of it. Going to try adding an eax80 and see if that helps

They told me this one is coming out so I preorder it. I WAS VERY SKEPTICAL because it was expensive. BUT, I do not regret it at all. We have the GIG plan with Spectrum and I was barely getting speeds of 400 mps. Most the time our internet didn’t even work or we would have to reboot the router etc. Now, I get speeds of 800. I have gotten 920 at one point and that is kind blowing! So I recommend this router to anyone that has 7 smartphones, 4 smart TVs, 2 IPads, a Pool system, 3 Xbox’s, 1 PS4 and 2 Apple Mac Books like I have haha best router I have ever had! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Router! RAX200 router paired with CM1200 modem. Provider - Xfinity w/1Gbps speed. 4000+ sq ft home Issues experienced immediately. RAX200 internet port was connected to port 1 on the CM1200 but I could not get internet connectivity. IF I reboot the Modem (CM1200) and connect a laptop directly to port 1, Internet works. Even though its been a while since I last upgraded I do not remember it being such a pain. I did a little research and found others were experiencing the same. A possible solution was to enable "Ethernet Port Aggregation" on the CM1200 until the next firmware update for the RAX200. Only issue was in less than 24hrs my speeds went from 990mbps to 30mbps. A firmware update was released for the RAX200. I disabled "Ethernet Port Aggregation" on the CM1200 modemand the RAX200 has been an amazing product since. I run about 17 wireless devices. I enabled CIrcle basic features and it's great for protecting the children from online material. The wireless interface overall is easy to setup. Aside from the initial glitch experienced I still give this product a high rating because its performance makes up for the rough start. The farthest point from the router gives me 530mbps download speeds with a 40mbps upload. Researching netgear WiFi 6 tri-band extenders. Netgear, what do you recommend that will pair up nicely with the RAX200. Looking to extend from the main house to the guest house which is about 100ft. I was thinking about adding two extenders to bridge the distance of about 100ft.

But I wanted to upgrade to a newer one so I got this one and the Internet we drop our loose connection everywhere I reset it a bunch of times same thing over and over I kept it run for about a week after that I just returned it back and I kept my NETGEAR x10

At 1 G bps, it handles 10 WiFi connected TVs, several commuters with gaming, and many WiFi connected phones. Prior to the new router, I heard complaints from the kids all the time about the WiFi connection. Now, all I hear is silence from our 6 kids, the best sound in the world.

This router is amazing and can get signal to areas of my house that no other router could. The Wi-Fi signal weigh is the best. love the security settings as well. makes me feel safe and sound. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice router but, there are a few caveats I bought this router to replace an 8500 hoping to get better wifi range and more "options" like parental controls. Set up was easy as usual but I was continually getting disconnects and spent alot of time with tech support which, at times, seemed clueless; it felt like level 1 support. I figured out the problem myself by consistently googl'ing and reading and ended up reading a post in the Netgear forums. I had to test/adjust the MTU. That fixed the disconnects but still have periodic problems connecting certain phones via wifi. My BIGGEST complaint is the parental controls which is one of the reasons I bought this expensive router. I had no idea that the "free" parental controls is actually a subset of the paid Premium version which cost $49.99/year. That really, really sucks. I REFUSE to pay for this after spending more money than I would of ever spent on a router. Oh, do you want Netgear Armor for advanced protection against security threats? Well, be prepared to pay an extra $69.99 per year. I've had Netgear routers for years now but, it may be time to look at others because I am not happy.

Coverage of great and speeds when working correctly are good. Had to work with support to see similar mbps over WiFi when compared to ISP equipment. Currently trying to work out if the router or modem is the culprit for loss in speeds daily. Have to reboot 1-2 times daily or speeds fall from 400-500 mbps over WiFi and 900 wired to 30-40 and less mbps over both wired and WiFi. Maybe be settings or firmware issues

What I did not expect was the simplicity and convenience of setup. So what do you do when the automatic setup doesn’t work? After 4 hours of futility (I’m no techie), I called customer support, which turns out to be a third-party company. They were nice, but it cost me another $99 to get the help needed to make the router work. For what this router cost, setup should have worked flawlessly. In summary, I’m happy with the router performance, but unhappy that I had to pay customer support additional money to get it to work.

If Armor comes available then this would be a 5-star router.

Once the frustrating experience of constant reboots and hard resets ends and it's up and running it will work....but don't attempt to touch it. I actually bought the Orbi RBK852 and I've been 100% satisfied with it's performance and reliability, but I got intrigued by the Nighthawk RAX200. Looks futuristic and has a few more functions than the Orbi, but extra features don't equate to reliable performance. The RAX200 was a buggy experience at best. Speeds fluctuated and were often 200Mbps slower than the Orbi. It bricked 3 times over a weekend setting from reboots leading me to do hard resets. Often the app would not report the proper SpeedTest results from Xfinity nor was the app reliable when it came to reporting all the clients on the network. My concern about keeping this product is when power outages happen due to bad weather or firmware updates are sent out requiring a reboot it will brick. I went back and forth over the weekend testing the RAX200 against the Orbi RBK852. I used only the router on the Orbi and not the satellite for an fair test. Each time I disconnected the RAX200 and replaced it with the Orbi the Orbi booted up and worked without issue. Each time I reconnected the RAX200 it would brick. It bricked 4 times out of the 6 times I reconnected it leading me to do a hard reset and go through the setup process again. That's too much hassle for today's tech. Obviously not good firmware. I returned it. The grass may look greener from awesome advertised specs but the reality of reliability and performance just don't match. Not a good product. Unless you need specific features on the RAX200 and are willing to deal with the many issues then get the Orbi RBK852. You won't be sorry.

All I want is a stable router that performs its basic duties of providing IP address, reliable speeds and doesn’t require a daily or weekly reboot. This WAS that router. Then a firmware came out recently with “Circles” and “Amour” and ever since then the router doesn’t have out IPs. When I’m lucky enough to get one it says the password is wrong. I have multiple tickets open. Factory reset. Applied a new firmware and still it only is up for few hours. When it works, with my gig internet I see up to 960mb but not it’s complete garbage. I paid $50 for support and they are in the Philippines or India making it hard to understand the support person, generally they take an hour to answer and route the call even with”VIP” support and my last call resulted in them hanging up as the guys headset clearly wasn’t working since I was talking to the L1 tech support to whom routed me to the L2 guy that hung up. Terrible experience. Terrible service. Terrible product. GOOGLE THIS ISSUE. ITS NOT JUST ME. BUYER BEWARE BUT IM SURE NETGEAR WILL CENSOR THIS AND NOT POST IT. Be well and stay safe. I will happily post an update if by some miracle Netgear resolves the issue or replaces the bad unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NETGEAR Rules Again! My first impression unboxing and plugging in my new NETGEAR Nighthawk AX12/12-Stream AX11000 WiFi Router, Wi-Fi 6 (RAX200) was WOW! This thing is smaller and looks even cooler than it did in pictures, especially if you leave the LED option on. It is smaller than my NETGEAR NIGHTHAWK® X10 Model: R9000 802.11ac/ad, the last top of the line NETGEAR. It’s also more refined-looking, and it’s even Wife-approved to sit out in plain view in our living room. It really does have a smaller, more refined, and less-obtrusive look than in it’s pictures, while still looking very cool. Setup was easier than my older X10, even though I chose the manual route. I am in I.T., and won’t buy any other brand of home router. You really do indeed get what you pay for. A colleague of mine was buying ASUS, but finally switched to NETGEAR, as he kept having reliability issues. I haven’t had one reliability issue going all the way back to my first NETGEAR Router when 54Mb/s 802.11g was king. I ran network cable to my two 2.4GHz-only devices, (which 4K-UHD Blu-Ray players usually are), and turned off 2.4GHz completely for a bit of extra security. Usually hacker tools utilize older frequencies and it gives them one less way to try to hack in. Then I assigned my 5GHz devices to one channel, and my Wife’s to the other 5GHz channel. That’s one of the beautiful benefits of a Tri-Band Router. My new iPad Pro 4th Gen and my laptop with a new $35 upgrade M.2 802.11AX card are both enjoying the new WiFi6 speeds. With new portable devices, tablets and smart phones, and cheap WiFi6 upgrade cards, I think the waiting time to upgrade to a WiFi6 Router is over. Check out “Dong Knows Tech,” by Dong Ngo, (former C-Net writer), who performs the most in-depth speed testing of routers that I have ever seen. After you read about how other review sites say that some other brand has the fastest WiFi6 Router, look up his reviews of NETGEAR Routers and look at his real published numbers. The truth shall set you free! :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product but not without some upgrade caveats I recently upgraded old Nighthawk X6 AC3200 router since during a firmware update things went south and I could never recover. I decided to give NETGEAR another try, and they did not disappoint! Signal is strong, speeds are fast, and I can run all of my 50 home automation devices and still watch 4K TV videos without any latency. My only issue with this router is that the Circle app that I just renewed membership, does not work with the AX11000. It is too bad, because I loved some of the features that the Circle app provided. Circle did say that there will be updates forthcoming, but it was a waste of the $49 I spend for the yearly subscription.

Before I was running everything thru what Verizon...it was decent but we needed to use a range expanded upstairs because signal would drop. To eliminate everything and save money I got the rax200...honestly it’s worth the high ticket price, but make sure you unlock its hardware perks in administrator. The speed is consistent...my speed increases a little the further I went from the router, it keeps the signal connected and we were able to eliminate the range expander. Signal it puts out covers the entire house and more, really impressed with how well it keeps everything connected. Did have a few disconnects in the first day, however I think router and fios were going thru cycle. Since then has been smooth sailing...have roughly 15-20 devices connected at once. This router handles everything!! 3 c.o.d war zone games, streaming movies on Netflix on tv and laptop. Surfing internet and playing games on phone...does not miss a beat. Overall I am happy with stability and no need to run any range extenders. Do yourself a favor upgrade to the latest WiFi 6 tech and save money by not renting a router from your isp.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great potential, so-so working feature set I was a very early adopter of WiFi 6 because I wanted to get rid of a troublesome mesh network. This router looked like it would provide really solid throughput for the nearly 50 devices I have connected through it. Overall, I would say it did not meet my expectations when new, but is improving. Several setup components were buggy and changes I made and saved would disappear for no reason. Connectivity would suddenly drop from devices that were within 30 feet of the router and join my guest network. Some of this seems to have been remediated in the latest firmware rev, but this product felt rushed to market and poorly tested. I also expected better throughput to mobile devices which is now topping out at about 60Mbps (my uplink/downlink speeds are 1GBps)

There seems to be a problem with the 2.4 GHz wifi channel as I haven't been able to get a stable connection. I had no such problems with the RAX80. Adjusting the wifi channels and various other settings made no difference. I have a few devices that only use the 2.4 GHz so this would be very problematic. I done a few factory settings but this made no difference. Thinking that the router was faulty I sent it back to Amazon and checked the Netgear forums only to discover that other users experienced the same problem with the 2.4GHz channel..

I am not seeing any devices drop nor speed issues (using latest firmware) and I am constantly checking cloud security cameras and what not. The Wi-Fi range is great; I have a Wi-Fi garage door opener, washer and dryer, hot water heater and some cameras in the garage which is two flights of stairs down and they all have good Wi-Fi strength. I love that it has integrated parental controls using Circle and integrated Netgear Armor powered by Bitdefender. All in all this has been one of the best home routers I have used in 30 years.

It is an investment yes, however if you have a house like mine that has constant dead zones this is your one machine solution. I had 2-3 dead zones in my house with this WiFi is 5 bars through an 11 ft thick wall. This is basically a cellular tower but for WiFi in your house. Usually takes a hand full of tries per item then mysteriously will boot a handful of items off the network without warning and will not let the items rejoin. Reboots will do the same thing and in most cases requires a complete wipe and new set up process to correct. When armor is active it will drop signal on all items and reboot every few minutes. Worst router I have ever purchased. Keep what you have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Next Gen Magic This router is a dream! 3 bands: 2.4ghz and two 5G connections! 4 wired connections. This is by far the easiest router to set up. You download the app after making the standard Ethernet connection to your modem. I use my router for gaming, 4K streaming, and work. I have yet to have a failed connection! If you have a big house than 2.4g may be the best band to connect but for a small apartment you can easily use 5G for cellphones and tv’s. I would say this is worth every penny tho very expensive. The app allows you to see who is on your network and kick others off, lol. You can also switch guest WiFi on/off at the switch of a button within the net gear app. It comes with parental controls, speed test, and traffic meter. Support and security are also included. I don’t usually give 5 stars and would not arbitrarily do it but trust me it is worth it. As soon as I turned it on and fired up the app it was on autopilot. This was by far the best setup process. I did not have to close my network as it set it up that way. I don’t have to give out my network password because I can set up guest WiFi. There really are no cons except for occasional noise, but that is not a big deal.

I bought my wife a surface pro 7 quad core I7 with wifi 6..intel 2x2 ax adapter.. I did a speedtest by Ookla.. I have comcast 1gig service the adapter connected at 2.4gbps.. speedtest results were 926mbps down wifi on a 1gig service.. Totally impressed.. I have 5 wifi 6 clients in my house..I'm about to have nine and they all have wifi 6 download speeds

I tried to work with Netgear support and was told that having 50 devices connected to the router was too much and that was what was causing the slow downs.

The set up was straight forward through the Nighthawk app. I did have to add an extender to reach an outside camera in a difficult location, otherwise it is handling up to 43 devices well. Wired connections are great (800s-900s. I was drawn to this router because of the high WiFi speeds advertised, but I am now thoroughly disappointed and frustrated.

The signal was weak throughout the house except close by the router. I changed to my own setup using the nighthawk modem and nighthawk router and now I have full strength on our WiFi items all over the house. I live in a 2 story decent size how with 5 kids who all game and stream along with myself at the same time without any problem anymore as we felt with lag and longer connecting times before. No disappointment in the money spent. Good investment

The router itself is great, plenty of channels, and good signal strength throughout the house, but the app that is aligned with it from the manufacturer is really ineffective at helping you set up the device. I recommend stop via a direct wow connection, and follow-up with the wireless connection in the app to avoid any frustration...

You can never be sure how an electronic item will do in your particular home, and great WiFi on paper using laboratory testing might perform horribly in your structure. But this one is amazing. I’m getting full signals even in the worst measured rooms of my house, the ranges and strength of those ranges can not be fully appreciated until you yourself start testing. This was a superb by and I highly recommend.

My ISP said there is probably a setting on the router that needs to be changed. Now I need to call Netgear to check on the setting.

It constantly loses connection with my Cox 1GB Internet. The Wi-Fi connection also drops often, even when standing right next to router! I put Google Wi-Fi mesh back in place and everything works again. Will be returning all Netgear equipment and never buy from Netgear again!

To my surprise after set up it would not connect any devices to the 5ghz band and forced them all to 2.4 ghz. The speeds I was getting were lower than my 2 year old router. What a disappointment. Had to return the piece of junk after messing with it for several days (rebooting, reconfiguring, even turning smart connect off). Don’t waste your money!

On the negative side, the setup process was not smooth as is advertised. I don’t like the fact that there is no manual included, especially since setup hung up on me mid-process. Because my old router was disconnected, I had no internet connection. I tried to call customer service for help, but they routed me to a third-party computer guy to figure out the problem and complete the router setup. I was charged for this help. Also, the app seems to be quirky. The ad shows the app tracking all connected devices. Actual was that it did not identify all the devices I had connected to test this feature. Given the price of this router, I expected more, especially from customer service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Be careful with this one! The RAX200 has been miserable. I am on my second one, as the first wouldn't broadcast. After about 10-12 hours of dealing with tech support for the first one, they told me to take it back. Now I am on my second one. I have a whole host of issues related to device priorities, network assignments, broadcast channels, and devices dropping. To his credit, the tech support guy has been good, but we playphone/e-mail tag since he is on the west coast and I am on the east coast. I was told the new firmware should fix a lot of problems - it did not. Bottom line, it woefully under-performs. I have wasted a lot of time on this router, and of course money. At this point I am stuck, since it's out of warranty (though I spent 75% of the warranty time period chatting with tech support... I'll probably cut my losses and look at a different manufacturer. I suppose if you want to invest a lot of your time dealing with your router and tech support, then this is the model for you. But it's been a complete disappointment for me.

I did a mesh system called MeshForce M7 tri Band it got better speeds up into the 400mbps these systems said that they were 1gbps but never came even remotely close. I saw this Nighthawk Ax12/12 stream AX11000 RAX200. i thought lets give it a try. I am blownin away I have it in the middle of my house and consistently get 828ish MBPS internet downloads and 35mbps uploads my file transfer rates are mind boggling fast from one pc to the next or even getting and looking up pictures from my hard drive I have connect to the usb slot on the back of the nighthawk router. it is a bit more then I wanted to spend on a router but I would do it again in a heart beat. best router I have ever used.

Wanted to add in a IP address range for netflix.servers to stream movies, router was blocking communication. Found Port Forwarding only allowed all or only one IP address, first problem. Second issue found that Netgear removed the firewall. No more customization of the firewall (no netflix for me. Unable to fix my netflix issue. Problem 3 went to change, disable admin user account as Netgear best practice, no way to add to change user. Problem 4, attempted to get the 4800 throughput on wireless could only get one 5GHZ to achieved it the other 5GZ only got half the speed 2000. Every change on the router caused the router to lose connection and reboot..why??. Called Netgear asked why they would remove basic feature such as a firewall from such an expensive high end router that every cheap router has. Tech respond with I don't know. Last problem was on wifi, when I change the wifi channel received the message DFS will not change if radar is present and did not allow the change. At first thought, router was hacked. Ask Netgear responded with poor progammer quality control..Started out the door to return the router..will give it another week. Astonished by the cost of this router and the basic fundamental issues that exist..Big Netgear fan that is disappointed with the purchase of the product. Really wanted to like the product. Been working remotely found that they removed IPSEC VPN and L2TP VPN and opted for openVPN. Guess what.. my employer uses l2tp and IPsec....netgear router has OpenVPN..useless. Please add back L2TP, PPTP, IPSEC and IPSEC with paraphrase VPN to allow users the opportunity to work remotely to paid for the expensive router. Thank you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the money So this is a very very fast router. The set up was simple and I am getting faster speeds then I’m actually paying for with the cable company. The iOS app is awesome cause I get notifications when there are threats to the network and someone is joining. It does take up some space but I love having the speeds. Also I have some older devices that only run on 2.5 so it manages them as well as my AX newer devices. A must have guys! Cant recommend it enough!

I feel like this router has a good amount of features. So far I have about 30 IoT devices on the 2.4 ghz channel (smart lights, fans, etc. and I have not noticed any slow down in the performance. My home is a 3000 sq. ft. multilevel and I have been able to pick up all the exterior lights and have at least 80% 2.4 ghz signal strength everywhere. The 5g channel is handling 4 phones and 3 streaming devices with no issue. I am not a gamer so I am not sure what the performance is like there. I have a 150 Mbps download speed and it was registering 155 Mbps. The price point on this item is middle of the road for someone who wants bang for their buck. It worked for my purpose of

Well worth right away our speeds were almost 400mbps and we have a high use house that is about 2500 sq ft and so far it’s handling it well.

I was looking to upgrade to WIFI 6 and after discovering most of the products we have in our home are WIFI 6 compatible I knew it was time to make the jump! Rated 5 out of 5 by from works great with nighthawk M6 MR6500 hotspot I bought a nighthawk wifi extender first thinking that it would be what I need to make the wifi better in my house with my M6 hotspot from AT&T it wasn't. Found a AX11000 router at a good price and figure I'd give it a shoot to. Well much to my surprise it was GREAT with my M6 hotspot. Was losing internet a with the extender, knock on wood it hasn't lost internet since i switched. With the extender i was able to get download 50, upload 15, and i can't remember. But with my AX11000 I'm getting 140 down, 12 up, and ping 32. The only thing I wish I could get better is my upload speeds. Since I'm not a computer guru I think I'll leave well enough alone. But it has transformed my streaming experience and internet into something I can really enjoy. Great product maybe someday I'll upgrade from my RAX200 to a RAXE500. Just wish I was better with IT stuff probably get more upload and download speeds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Completely game-changing I’ve been saving for a perfect routers for years for all the things my household needed. I have a significant other who twitch streams as a career. We also have multiple gaming consoles that also uses up a decent amount of bandwidth. Our previous ISP router was at one point capable of providing over 500mbps but for the last couple of years can only manage to give out 5mbps. Which is maddening to think about. Fast forward a couple years later when we could finally upgrade. This router is giving us what we have been paying for, which is 300/10. Now we’re able to Twitch stream without using cellular data and play the latest online games without any lag. This is not mentioning the other bells and whistles such as the security system in place, a guest network for friends and family, the crazy signal strength and range, and even the capability to prioritize which devices will receive more download speed. All in all, the price is steep but well worth every penny.

Performance is great but haven’t had it long enough to have an informed opinion. I’d say the gateway into the modem should have way more controls, options and configuration choices for expericened users. At the very least have everything the free network scanners on the App Store provide. Specifically I’d like to see the network traffic broken down by device instead of every thing just counted together as a whole.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best router ever owned. This router lives up to and surpasses it claims. I have owned apple , Deco, mesh systems, you name it I have owned it. The nighthawk sits on the far side of my ranch style home approximately 5000 sq ft. I had my doubts on it working all the way to the other side of the house. To my surprise and delight it worked perfectly. Great signal and still very responsive at 200 mbps. Heck when I head to work it still connects 3-4 houses away and each lot is 1/2 acre so about 3/4 of a city block. Pretty clear path to where router sits inside my home. Very pleased with how well it performs
