The DS224C features two rack units, each with 12 storage bays that can store as many as 24 hard drives. It is a good way to build a network for storage in a data center or other type of office that has a large number of computers. You can hot swap drives in the NetApp® StorageShelf DS224C storage enclosure to switch out a device while the network is still up and running. It features a dual power supply with an integrated fan assembly to power the drives and keep them cool for continuous use.
Designed with RAID-DP® and RAID-TEC™, the NetApp flash storage unit can protect your data and improve security in your system. It also allows Maintenance Center access to help you correct errors and recover data easily. The SAS storage array can store multiple types of drives, including disk drives for high performance and self-encrypting drives that offer further security.
