Page Blobs are ideal for scenarios that require the ability to overwrite a random small segment at a known address, like storing index-based and sparse data structures. Page blobs can be accessed through REST protocol or attached to a VM to support disk traffic as Unmanaged Disks. Standard Page Blobs use hard disk drive (HDD)-based storage media. They are best suited for development, testing, and other infrequently accessed workloads that are less sensitive to performance variability. When you write data into GRS accounts, that data will be replicated to another Azure region.
