Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Small Business Printing I use HP printers for our family business and overall I’ve been really happy with this OfficeJet Pro 9720. The biggest advantage for me is the ability to print on extra-long and larger paper sizes. I was able to print directly onto 9x12 catalog envelopes with our business logo, which I couldn’t do on my regular printer, so that alone ended up being really useful. It handles a wide variety of paper types and sizes, but I will say there was a bit of a learning curve at first. When I switched to printing 4x6 photos/cards, the printer wouldn’t grab the smaller paper and I honestly thought I made a mistake upgrading. On my older HP printer I never had to manually slide the paper guide snug against the paper, so I didn’t realize this one required it. After a quick Google search and adjusting the guide properly, it worked perfectly and hasn’t been an issue since. Just something to know if you’re switching from a simpler printer setup. I also use HP Instant Ink and highly recommend it if you print often. Between business printing and everyday use, it feels like the ink lasts forever and replacement cartridges just show up automatically before I even think about them. I looked into HP’s newer AI subscription features too, but right now I personally can’t justify paying extra for them. I think more people would probably try them if HP bundled a complimentary version in with Instant Ink first so users could actually see the value. Overall, I’m still sticking with HP printers. This one has been a solid upgrade for business use once I got familiar with the paper settings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable Wi-Fi Printer with Great Print Qualit I’ve been really happy with this printer. It was easy to set up, and getting it connected to Wi-Fi didn’t take long. Wireless printing works well almost all the time. Every once in a while it doesn’t connect right away, but restarting the printer has fixed it for me. The print quality is nice and clear, it prints quickly, and copying has worked without any problems. I also like that it can handle different paper sizes instead of just standard sheets. The paper tray holds enough that I’m not always having to refill it. HP Instant Ink has also been worth having. It’s nice not worrying about running out of ink when I need to print something. I would just recommend watching your printing usage since they will charge you per print after you go over! Overall, it’s been a dependable printer that’s easy to use for everyday printing at home. I’d buy another HP printer based on my experience with this one.

Starter ink is a nice amount and it hooked up in a snap, just have to download the app, which I already have, add it and it started working immediatly.

The scan option is great for documents and even photos. The clarity of the photocopies are clear and i'm impressed with how quickly it works. I am really excited to use this function for printing on my envelopes for Christmas cards. This is a high-quality printer and I don't have to go anywhere for printing documents. I love how easy it is to order ink from an app and have it delivered. I highly recommend this all in one printer!

The ability to use wide paper is the BEST! We can print house designs and larger items with a simple paper change out. Setup and installation was incredibly easy and was done from the phone. It also has a very large scan bed to allow for scanning of larger items. I would totally recommend this printer, can't think of anything I would change.

I'm someone who loves tech, so I also wanted a printer that looks premium and modern, and OMG, did HP deliver with this one! It's gorgeous and feature-packed. Let's talk features. I'm a crafter and small business entrepreneur, with the side job of PTO mom and full time family nurse. I am responsible for all the projects, bookkeeping, papers, and documentation in our family. Needless to say my printer has to be great and at the ready. Most recently the elves and I have been keeping it hopping in addition to normal use. This new printer offers great color, fast printing, and remote printing for those things I remember on the go. I love the document feeder, it's always been a must for me. It does offer double sided printing. Instant ink continues to be an option offering uninterrupted printing with cartridges delivered before you run out of ink. This has been a selling point for me since Hp began offering it. I love never running out of ink. Now if HP will just make me a sublimation printer my HP family will be complete hint hint HP. Definitely recommend this printer for anyone needing a great printing for versatile needs. Great for those who need help with projects, pictures, papers, and everything in between.

It's the perfect size with a large LCD display. As with most hp's, it has all the options you're looking for in a printer, like durability, fast printing and easy ways to connect. It's easy to find replaceable ink cartridges. Even better, I love that it comes with free instant ink for 3 months. This is so convenient when you are consistently using the printer and not keeping track of your ink levels. Super easy plug and play. I love to be able to print fast from my mobile phone and do all the setup from there. The app is very easy to use.

I’ve tried muddling my way through the ‘print setup’ options but…small data screen difficulty bad location and small print, should be on top to read easier. As usual the ink is the rip-off. It has so many functions I am using daily: scanning and copying, printing black and white work invoices and PO's, color photos and so much more. I love that it has the capacity to print 11"x17". I've found so many different uses for it already. Best of all, the setup was incredibly easy. I am printing from my phone and multiple computers at the house, where other printers in the past have had extremely difficult setup procedures, the HP OfficeJet Pro is extremely easy out of the box. I was printing within minutes of unboxing. By far the best printer I've owned, I look forward to suggesting it to friends and customers.

So far, everyone has been able to try it out. I found that it was easier to install than I expected. We’ve never had wireless printer capability before so we were at first a little intimidated by it. Much to our surprise, the printer is very easy to operate. I am also quite impressed with all the different features that this printer has and I’m planning on using the HP instant ink program as well. I can’t wait to use this machine for my side hustle projects also. I’m very pleased with this purchase.

The ease of installing and connecting was so quick and easy. The printer was printing so effortlessly and efficiently. It runs quiet. It is a large printer and will definitely do the job of everyday uses. I like all of the features and the HP Instant ink program which I am a current customer. The HP app makes everything to manage all things HP related in one place. The wireless printing from anywhere is high on my list. I am thoroughly satisfied with this printer.

Setup was a breeze just download the app and it walks you through it. I really enjoy how fast this printer prints saving me all kinds of time. This printer has P3 color print mode making prints vibrant and true-to-life images. You can load up to 250 pages at a time and it uses a automatic document feeder that works really well. This printer has wide format printing also has hp wolf pro security with dual-band self-healing wi-fi. That being said I would recommend this printer to anyone rather your printing just a couple pages a month or multiple pages a month it is great for all needs! Hands down one if the best printers I have purchased!

And sometimes only off my laptop and hardly ever off my tablet. So we got this one. It was such an easy setup. It’s big, okay, but I don’t care because I can print now, very easily, off my phone AND my tablet AND my laptop. I can also SCAN to all of these devices!!!!! It’s almost too much. I love this printer. Go buy it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Upgrade to the Tabloid Printer Hp did a great job on this upgrade to their Tabloid Paper printer. The sync between computers and even your phone has definitely improved. Upon setup i had a problem with the alignment setting and the blue cartridge kept popping out so I haven't been able to finish reviewing it as I'm trying to work with HP tech support but so far besides that it has been great. Photos to come after tech support done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice "industrial" printer handles 11"x17" I got the HP OfficeJet Pro 9720e a while back. I love EVERYTHING about it except the weight and cost of ink! I work out of town alot and usually carry a printer with 11"x17" print capabilities with me because of the types of documents that are necessary with my job. I decided to trade in my previous non HP brand for a smaller HP (HPEnvy Photo) and love that one - I will keep this one at my home office so that I still have access to it on the weekends and don't have to load and unload it in my truck/office. I love that the paper tray holds 250 sheets and the Automatic Document feeder holds 35 sheets to copy or scan!! It checks all of my boxes for my work from home times and even for some home projects for my daughter and granddaughter!! Like I said - The only things that I don't like is the cost of the cartridges and the fact that you can't use the generic ones and the weight - but you can't have it all!!

Far too long for service to be able to walk through the educating process for the new installation. I had 7 hours on multiple calls to learn how to hook up. The printer ink cooperation between the "ink" subscription department and the online technical support is ABYSMAL. One of the install techs from India wanted me to move a wifi extension, from 18 feet in a room directly adjacent, to next to the Office Jet Pro 9720e. This whole part of the new customer experience needs an overhaul.

While my current printer was good, it did not have some of the automated document feeding capabilities that I was looking forward to. In terms of set up out the box the printer set up was easy. You can easily see and manage it from the HP app which definitely helps with day to day management. The scanning features were very smooth. It is easy to set up multiple destination options on the output. The touchscreen menu was very easy to navigate and responsive. Now on to the printing. The prints were crisp and fast. The pictures/documents were very clear on output. There is a large paper tray that accommodates many sizes so it allows less filling and flexibility. The printer can easily print from multiple devices on your network and has solid connectivity to your wifi. So far this printer checks all the boxes I was looking for and I look forward to using it more in my day to day.

It's super easy to get it out of the box and makes it easier to carry - without the bag it's super wide and awkward. This is a great thing many vendors do - thank you. There was a lot of thoughtfulness in the packaging. The tape was folded over so there was an easy tab to remove it. No need to try and peel it off! It was easy to turn the device on and connect to wifi on the touch pad - but my only complaint is how tiny the virtual keys are. It was hard to get the right letters and numbers! It was super easy to install the cartridges and print. Print quality is great and pages print fast. Love that it prints wide! But, it should have a wider scanner and copier bed to copy what it prints! It's a fantastic high quality HP printer, love it.

The ink is cost effective it does not use a lot and the HP instant ink subscription is great. The printing is clear and high definition if it’s a document or picture does not matter. You can print wired/ wireless or even remotely from your phone. 3x5 pictures to tabloid it handles it all.

Just had to insert the ink cartridges and print was ready to go. The HP Smart app makes it easy to use all the options. Scan option work quickly and impressive. Print speed is reasonable and quite. Printing from phone was quick as well. Option to start Instant Ink plan is another option. Function screen is hard to see as it is flat and does not swivel.

A call to HP resolved the issues and now the printer is working fabulously. Color is vivid and about as close to real life as one can get. Text print is clear and flawless, and the wifi connection is working as it should. Takes multi-paged documents and scans them with ease. We're very happy with our purchase.

Other printers I have used before never wanted to connect to my laptop or phone or tablet seamlessly. Until NOW I have never had a printer that connected to ALL THREE soooooo easily AND all the devices can print on it. All three!!!! Really. So delighted. Was a super easy setup and it prints like a champ. I would have been just as delighted to have it print easily but that it also scans to my email?! What?! I must be living in an alternate universe because I could never get that to work on any of my other printers either. So happy. Go buy one.

The box showed some shipping scars but the product was unharmed due to the care put into packaging. Setup was super easy - plug it in, scan the QR code and follow a few instructions. The print quality is everything you've come to expect from this brand - top notch. I am super impressed with the scanner. It is so easy to use and the output files are precise and clear. Being able to print from anywhere using the app is a bonus. I am a happy customer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tremendous Power Easy set up from box. Printer is a bit bulking but easy to remove from box. Plug in and power up. Connected to Wi Fi and set up started. The printer was updated automatically when connected. Next you install printer cartridges which are properly labeled and easy to set. Printer calibrates and you then print test page. Printer was a bit slow for me but that is the ink jet process and not as fast as lacer printing. the print quality is excellent with HP paper which I already had. The option for 11 X 17 printing is a great feature. You can check for updates and ink levels on HP Smart App. you can also sign up for the Instant Ink which automatically sends you ink when your levels are low. The LCD screen is a bit odd and wish it had a tilting screen which would be easier to see. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

Because I’m old and have changed this printer three times with Amazon I will keep it as I am tired of switching it out. Disappointed with HP

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Setup should be smoother It prints and scans well, which is to be expected and sort of the bare minimum for a printer. When doing setup, there is a code from the printer that has to be typed into the computer to connect--fine. I had to do it five or six times. Every time I would go to scan it wanted the code again. It seems to have stopped asking as of late, I guess I just hope this issue doesn't come back? The thing I truly dislike is the HP interface. I don't want to see your ads HP, I don't want to have to scroll down to get to the functionality I am trying to access. I don't need an image of the printer that takes up a quarter of the screen, I know what it looks like.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still new, but so far so good The printer is larger than expected so please look at dimensions first to make sure you have room for it. The power cable is also shorter than expected so make sure you a plug close by. The set up is the highlight so far, very easy and with the phone app, it joins the network easily. Again, have not done a lot of printing just yet but will be curious on how long the ink cartridges last compared to past laser printing we have done. She was able to set it up herself, She even described it as essentially setting itself up and telling her when it was ready to print it was so easy!

The setup was easy and straightforward. What I love the most is that it's a wide format printer which is beneficial for my small business. I love that you can also print straight from your phone. The print quality is awesome. The touchscreen on the printer is easy to navigate through especially if you need to scan or copy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick to connect I like my new HP printer. It was easy to connect to my home WIFI and set it up. It was a little larger than I would have like but it has a place in my home office. The app the HP has is smart and handy to take printouts right out of my phone. The touch screen is. Wry responsive and easy to use. The ports that come out are sharp and good color. There is an area to store papers so it’s out of site. The only downside I see is that sometime when printing webpages directly it looks like it doesn’t follow the command. I have to download the page and then print which can be a pain sometimes. Overall a good office or home printer for everyday printing .

It has many features, as you know as your current printer gets older, it has problems that crop up. anywhere to dropping the connection to paper getting stuck. This new HP pretty much connected itself once I downloaded the APP. It even had my network password. New Pro Printer like this has a much stronger signal. It can use many types of paper and card stock. After I use it a lot more I will get to know it a lot better.

The printer is super easy to set-up, taking no more than 10 minutes from opening the box to printing your first page. Everything you need to started is included in the box. Inserting the ink was a snap. It is very clear hot to unsert the printer cartridge and easy to access the area to insert it. The printer has a large capacity paper tray that can feed all different sizes of paper, and a lot of paper all at once. Once you click prin the printer begins printing, quietly and efficiently. The print quality is outstanding and is very crisp. I love that the printer is able to connect to our network so anyone can print wirelessly and even from their smartphones. There is a companion app. I use the iOS app version. The app displays a variety of interesting information. You can tell the current ink levels, manage many of the printer options, and run printer diagnostics. This is a great all around printer that anyone should consider when looking for a new printer.

I use this from my children's school projects and also to print coupons. I can use it to copy coloring sheets for my children and make them at home. I love that it is connected to my smart phone and I can use the HP app to quickly print things right with a touch of my finger on my phone. It works great and the ink cartridges are easy to replace. I highly recommend for all of your home office needs!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I’ve been using the HP OfficeJet Pro 9720 All-in-One Printer for a few weeks now and I’m really impressed with it. The setup was quick and easy, and connecting it to my Wi-Fi and phone only took a few minuts. Print quality is excelent for both documents and photos, with sharp text and bright colors that look great. I’ve printed everything from recipies and shipping labels to family photos, and the results have been consistantly good every time. So far it has been reliable, convenient, and a great addition to my home office.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game Changer Absolutely would recommend! I had another HP printer that would get the clogged ink in the lines majority of the year and it was brand new. So this a HP printer is a total game changer. This has printer cartridges so I don’t have to worry about clogged lines, prints pages in eight second. Would recommend for small businesses or small office use of excessive printing like referrals, orders, small scrapbooking projects or small projects. Used to print out presentations, my son‘s preschool work, and nursing school projects. I can already tell the difference from my old HP to this HP printer. I highly recommended.

I love hove I can print straight from my phone if I’m on the WiFi. I also like the ink and paper subscription so I never run out. I also like the size of the printer and that I can print wider papers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lose the Subsciption I really like the HP OfficeJet 9720 — it’s a solid, easy-to-use wide-format all-in-one that handles up to 11×17, prints out crisp text and vibrant color, and makes scanning, copying, and mobile/cloud printing painless; the speed and big paper tray mean it keeps up with a busy home office or small business without fuss. My only complaint is HP’s Instant Ink: it’s handy for automatic deliveries and recycling, but the page-based pricing and cartridge restrictions can get pricey or feel inflexible if you print irregularly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for anyone looking to print larger sizes We have been looking for a larger format printer to make posters for a while and found the HP OfficeJet Pro 9720 All-in-One Printer with many of the features that we were looking for. The printer arrived very well packaged and was easy to take out the box. The box is huge so if you're on the smaller side have someone ready to help you with the box. Its not heavy at all but the box was really large in both length and width. Once you open the box it has everything you need to get you started. The ink and plug just needed to be installed and then you can look for the printer on your network. It was really easy to set up. We went through the test print and it looked great. I have since been printing all week in both colour and black and white and both look really good. I also really appreciate that you can print in larger sizes and it comes handy for small posters. The prints themselves also come out really quickly. The scan and copy functions are also really handy. Really happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it for anyone with a small home office or small business.

I also really like that it connects right to the HP app and is easy to manage from there. Set up was very easy, it didn’t take much time at all to set it up, get it connected, and start printing which was great! Excellent printer I would definitely recommend this printer to others.

The set up was easy, thanks to the app and clear instructions The print quality is clear and sharp and just easy. It handles wide-format printing which is a great option for different projects. The size works for any small space and it is also quieter than my last printer. I can make copies of various sizes and can always control my printing via my app. Great printer/copier and I’m a happy business owner with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great large format all in one I’ve been using both the HP OfficeJet 9122 and the HP OfficeJet 9720 for a while now, and they’ve honestly become things we didn’t realize we’d depend on so much. Setup for both printers was quick, and getting them connected to our computers and phones was easy, so everyone in the house could start using them right away without any confusion. It’s been especially nice not having to troubleshoot or spend time figuring things out. The real test came when we had to scan a 50-page double-sided legal document, which is usually the kind of task everyone avoids. Normally that would take forever, but the dual-side scanning made it incredibly simple on both machines. We just loaded everything in and let it run, no flipping pages or standing there watching it the whole time. What really impressed me was the mobile scanning feature. The AI automatically figured out the correct page orientation, so everything came through clean, straight, and in the right order without any extra effort. That convenience really stood out, especially when using the 9720 for larger or more frequent jobs. Print quality has been solid across the board on both printers, whether it’s basic documents or color prints, and they’ve been reliable with no issues so far. Between work documents and random family needs like school papers and forms, they get used a lot and haven’t slowed us down at all. Overall, both the 9122 and the 9720 have been a great fit for our household and especially helpful for the work files I need to print and scan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This printer does it all! I’m in love with my HP OfficeJet pro. I have been using this for weeks and it’s been an absolute life changer for me. It was SO simple to install. You just follow the prompts on the little screen and bam you’re done! I have gone through a lot of printers over the years and this is by far the best one I’ve ever owned. It prints really easily and quickly and I have yet to experience any jamming. One of the main reasons I chose this printer was the ability to print larger formats, and it’s been perfect for that. The touchscreen is easy to use, the wireless connection has been reliable, and the HP app makes printing from my phone incredibly convenient. I’m really happy with this purchase. If you’re looking for a dependable all in one printer for a home office or small business, I definitely recommend the HP OfficeJet Pro 9720.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointing business practices I would like to start by saying that I absolutely abhor HP current business practices regarding its printers. Consumers have already shown their loyalty by purchasing your brand. By intentionally gouging them, HP has thus contributed to its own downfall, especially in today's economy. I didn't fall for the Instant Ink messaging but there are others that do not read the fine print. I returned the printer because I didn't want to find out that I no longer had access to the printer because a firmware download restricted its usage. Consumers are extremely tired of the subscription and of companies who don't care about its customers. I required a printer that I could access wirelessly. However, I was able to connect through wi-fi only once. Thereafter, I kept receiving messages that I had to reconnect but I was unable to, no matter what I did (delete and reinstall app, restart computer, try to re-add printer through Windows, etc). This was intended to be used in our household and was unusable if even I couldn't connect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet and better The setup is easy . Out of the box and working in less than 10 mins I have had this printer for a little bit and am genuinely impressed by the product. The ink quality is better and I get crisp prints compared to my old printer. It offers seamless wireless and mobile printing which I absolutely love. For scanning, the automatic document feeder is a game changer. If you are switching from a desk printer, you will like auto-two side printing and the ink capacity. Its silent operation and ink capacity would impress you . A solid all round performer regardless of your previous printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can’t use at all After setting up everything from the beginning, the magenta ink is unable to read that it even has a cartilage and when I finally got a hold of someone they just sent me more and more ink but the problem isn’t the cartilage it’s the machine itself and all they did was transfer me to the monthly ink subscription platform. I still don’t have a working printer.

The print quality is excellent, setup was straightforward (as it usually is with HP printers), and the response is pretty fast. My absolute favorite feature is the ability to print up to 11x17 size. We use this size print a lot at both of our businesses and we’re always having to order prints online or spending a fortune at the print shop, so having this feature is a huge deal for us! So, if you need a reliable printer that goes beyond standard letter size printing, this is a fantastic option!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good printer, but... The HP OfficeJet Pro 9720 All-in-One Printer came packaged very well with handles for easy lifting by one out of the box. The network set up took much longer then expected. Once you have an error, the path to completion is not an easy one. After some use via the wireless connection, it still has problems. I am not sure if it has anything to do with Wi-Fi 7 and mesh router, but at this stage, those technologies have been around for awhile and connecting to them should not be this difficult. When connected to Wi-Fi, the printer does a very good job at printing, scanning, and copying although lacks an automatic dual sided scan. The software is disjointed and confusing when you need to download it or use it in general.
