Easy to use + great print quality = win!
I've been a fan of HP's printers for almost 20 years - maybe I've just had exceptional luck, but my OfficeJet Pro 8600 that I bought so long ago hasn't ever let me down. However, ink cartridges are expensive and wireless connectivity has certainly improved over the years. Basically, my trusty HP printer is due for an upgrade.
This OfficeJet Pro 9135 printer doesn't skimp on features - in fact, it's pretty much just the current-day version of the printer that I've been using all along. I love that it has features like full-duplex printing and two paper trays. Believe it or not, these used to be options that required additional purchases back in the day. The design of it is stylish, too - it brightens up my home office just by being in the room.
Setting up the printer was a snap - there's a QR code that brings you to the online setup guide and I was up and running in just a few minutes. The printer connected to my wifi with no problems, and just like that I was in business. First impressions? This printer is FAST - it's much faster than my old one. Second impression? The prints from the OfficeJet 9135 are brighter and more vivid than what my old printer could produce.
Scanning is also very easy, thanks to the HP app. There are fax capabilities too, but they require connection to a phone line and I don't have one anymore. The thing I love most though, is the ability to use a regular ink cartridge without taking part in some sort of subscription plan. Keep in mind that there IS an option to get automatic ink delivery and the cost of it is reasonable. For me, I just like having more control over my spending and avoiding the possibility of being unable to use my own printer because I didn't upgrade my ink plan. Instant ink is great for some people, just not for me.
I really do love this printer though; I run a very small business and could easily get by with a home-use printer, but I really like the additional features that come with using a printer designed for business use. I'm confident that the OfficeJet Pro 9135 will last for years and delivery quality prints each and every time.

Great printer
The hp officejet pro 9135e is an excellent printer, the print speed is fast and the print quality is excellent. The instant ink subscription keeps my ink supply fulfilled when I need it. The design of the printer is perfect, I love the ability to print direct from my phone, and the scanning feature I can scan documents direct to my phone.

Upgrade My HP Printer
This the latest upgrade of our hp printer. We the hp 9135 is an upgrade from our existing hp 9125. Each printer has provided met and exceeding all our expectations. We replaced each hp printer, not because it wasn't functioning, but it no longer met our printing needs.
Everyone has added the hp app for HP9130 on all the laptops(6), desktop(1) and cellphones(3) within our multigenerational household. There wasn't any problem with installation of the app and usage with hp 9130 printer to any of our existing electronics.

Great Printer for Office!
I have the HP OfficeJet Pro 9135 All-in-One Printer for my office. I purchased this in addition to my B&W HP LaserJet, for when I need to print in color.
I haven’t been much of a fan of OfficeJet because of the ink cartridges leaving the paper with a wet feeling when printed. I don’t have that issue with this model. It’s not soggy when the paper prints, the quality of the print is fantastic.
I looked up the cost of the ink cartridges and they are decently priced compared to the competitor brand printer I had before.
Another big feature I appreciate is the Quiet Mode. The normal printing is a bit louder than expected. I thought it was just because it was brand new but even after a hundred pages or so, I come to find out that’s the normal level. It’s loud enough to be a distraction if you print during meetings. But that’s where the Quiet Mode comes in handy. It prints a bit slower but brings the audible to a much more tolerable level.
All in all, it’s a great printer for personal office or even small business use.

Easy to use for the whole family!
This is actually the first HP printer I’ve owned, and I’ve been really impressed with the HP OfficeJet Pro 9135 so far.
The setup was a lot easier than I expected. I’m used to printers being kind of frustrating to get connected, but this one was pretty straightforward. The instructions were clear, and I had it connected and ready to print pretty quickly. The HP app has also been easy to use, especially when printing from my phone, which is something I use more than I expected.
The print quality has been great. Documents come out clear and sharp, and the color pages I’ve printed look clean and professional. One thing I’ve really appreciated is how fast it prints. I’ve been using it to print patterns for projects, and it saves a lot of time compared to waiting around for page after page.
The touchscreen is simple and easy to figure out without digging through a bunch of confusing menus. My 11-year-old can use it without needing help, which is probably one of the best signs that the interface is actually user-friendly. She has actually used it more than I have at this point and I love that.
Overall, I’m very happy with it. It’s been easy to set up, easy to use, fast, and the print quality has been better than expected. For a home office or family printer, it feels like a very solid choice.

Liking the improved hp
With the improved set-up experience, I am becoming a bigger fan of hp printers. If we could just do something about the ink - both the cost and the whole instant InK scam. Looking online, new ink for all four colours is almost 50% of the price of a printer (100% of the price for this promotion. It is almost a disposable printer)
The set up was relatively easy, but it did get stuck, which has happened with other hp printers in the past. Luckily once I closed and reopened the app it finished without any problems
Printing is fast. Being able to print from a mobile is very nice. Would be better if you could do this without the app, but it’s not a big issue
Scanning also works well

Many Issues Setting up
This printer is the updated one of the one i already had. I go to online school and work from home so having a reliable printer is ESSENTIAL. I like that it has 2 trays and scans, prints and copies double sided. When i was setting it up unboxing was pretty straightforward until i got to the cartridges. The setup cyan cartridge was faulty I ended up needing new one. I had to wait 10 days for the instant ink welcome kit as well the new printhead, and said that they couldn’t overnight it unfortunately. I had to turn off the printer in order to reboot it so that wasn’t stuck in the loop anymore. It was so stressful dealing with this print system error that I couldn’t even be excited for my printer. Now that i finally have that fixed. I am really enjoying the printer and I really like the Instant Ink feature. The quality of the copies, scans and printing is really excellent and I really like it. It’s a good printer for students or even work from home professionals.

Solid all around machine
I got this machine to replace/ partner with my older B&W multi-function device. I can tell you this is a solid machine. Clean print lines, great color printing, and the print speeds are good. This device is so good, I will probably just retire my MFC altogether and stick with this going forward.

HP printers are top-tier
Honestly, the HP OfficeJet Pro 9135 has been solid for what I need it for. Print quality is sharp for both text and photos, and it's fast enough that I'm not sitting there waiting around. The all-in-one setup (print, scan, copy, fax) covers pretty much everything, and the touchscreen makes navigating settings easy instead of digging through menus.
Setup was straightforward with the HP Smart app, and printing from my phone works without any fuss. Ink situation is decent if you're on their subscription plan, otherwise cartridges can get pricey like most printers. Only minor issue is it can be a little slow waking up from sleep mode if it's been sitting idle. Overall, for home office use, it gets the job done without headaches.

Great printer once it gets set up. I had to spend two hours on the phone over two days to get the unit set up due to a firmware issue. Once that was resolved, the process went smoothly, but I was dissapointed in the issues with a brand new printer.

Good except for recurring issue with print queue locking up
It works fine except when it doesn't! About once a week the print queue locks up mid job and I have to go through the steps I found online to unplug the printer and delete the queue and restart to printer. I have the most updated driver for Windows 11. Not sure what's causing it, but having to "fix" it when it's a common issue is a pain in the neck. I just want it to work! Otherwise, it's a good printer, with good print speed.

Easy to use!
This printer has made life so much easier for me when it comes to printing for work and/or for personal. We own a multi family building so have consistently needed to print documents, like lease agreements, demand for rent and potential eviction notices (hoping will not need the last one). I didn’t realize how much this would come in handy until we got it, if I had to go to staples every time I needed to print something it would be a colossal waste of time. Bonus that I can print things from my phone and don’t need to print directly from my computer neither. Definitely recommend, 10 out of 10 from me on this one.

Clear crisp printing
The HP OfficeJet Pro 9135 AIO Printer provides clean and crisp prints. I am very happy with every print that comes out. I use this printer primarily to print shipping labels for my online retailer business. The print comes out in less than 1 minute. I am so impressed by the clean prints that I also started using this printer to print photos, as well. Changing the ink is also very easy. Set up of this printer was extremely easy and I am very happy with this printer overall and features lots of additional options that I am going to start using, like scanning. I would recommend this highly recommend this printer!

Easy setup, but not a quiet printer
The HP OfficeJet Pro 9135 All-in-One Printer was packaged really well. I especially liked that it came inside a bag with handles, which made it easy for me to lift it out of the box by myself.
Setup was simple because the instructions included a QR code that walked me through the process on my phone. I did not love having to install an app to finish setting it up, although I suppose that is similar to older printers requiring software to be installed on a computer. Connecting it to my computer was much easier than I expected because it simply appeared in the list of available printers, probably because it was already connected to Wi-Fi.
I was also pleasantly surprised that it has copy machine functionality. I was not expecting that feature, but it is nice to have and makes the printer more useful.
So far, the printer has been easy to use and works as expected. My main complaint is that it is pretty loud while printing. You definitely could not use this printer to print anything in secret!

Excellent printer!
A very nice printer, very well designed, sleek, and a little larger than my HP OfficeJet Pro 9125. The printer produces very nice, crisp color prints (black and white is just as nice!) and is a little more responsive to user commands. I liked the 9130 HP Officejet series, but I like this one even better! There are two paper trays, for which I am thankful! No longer will I run out of paper with the 2nd tray. I would gladly recommend this budget printer to my friends. A+, Hp!

Quality Ink Jet Printer with lots of features!
This is a quality Ink Jet Printer with modern features. I was initially impressed with the box the printer arrived in. I found the documentation and easy to read. The box also described the print rate, quality and ink cartridge type right on the side. The printer was wrapped inside a bag with handles, which made it so much easier to remove from the box! The printer comes with 4 ink cartridges, 3 color and one black. They were easy to install by pushing them in until they clicked in and made a bit of a puff sound when it prepared them for use. The printer setup itself was extremely fast and easy utilizing the HP app. It connected to the internet very fast and the entire experience was a breeze!
The touchscreen is very responsive and works great. The print speed was impressive at 25 pages per minute, with a 500 page tray, and can save time with the single pass, double sided scanning! It also has automatic, double sided printing which saves a lot of time. The copier works great as well! It's much faster than my old home use printer and the print quality is great. The scanner works great as well and can easily scan to your PC, phone or print. The printer even has faxing abilities if you fax.
I print a lot from my phone and this printer connects very fast to my phone. l would definitely recommend this printer to anyone who prints a lot from home or has a small business.

Good quality but expensive ink
The setup for HP printers has improved considerably in the last few years. I would still like if they came with a manual. I absolutely hate Instant Ink. Even more frustrating is how hard it is to opt out. During the setup it started the Instant I’ll sign up process and there was no way to exit out. I eventually closed the app and started over but it still came back to the sign up with no exit option. You had to start the sign up process and then decline the free trial. Also, the setup seems to pause, I guess because I exited out of the Instant sink setup. It finally picked back up and finished, but took longer than it should.
The print and copy quality are good, which is never a question with HP printers. Fast and good quality. Scanning is also easy and fast.
I like being able to print from my phone, though wish it did not have to be from the HP app.
It would be nice to understand how long the ink cartridges are expected to last. Especially when considering a new set of all 4 colors is half the price of a new printer. Crazy! Almost drives the behavior of just throwing the printer away when it’s time for new ink. There is nothing else I am aware of that the main parts needed to make it work cost 50% or the price of a new one. Instant Ink is not the answer since it is subscription based and you have to pay every month whether you print or not.

Fast and Clear Printing
The HP OfficeJet Pro 9135 AIO Printer provides a great printing experience. When printing a document or photo, it connects surprisingly quick via WiFi. There is virtually no lag time from the moment you hit print from your computer or phone. The quality of the prints are sharp and crystal clear. Set up of the printer does take a bit of time through the HP app, but instructions for set up is clear and easy to follow. Printing multiple pages is also very fast. I was able to print a 25-page document in less than 2 minutes. Having an all-in-one printer is very convenient and the HP OfficeJet Pro 9135 is a great choice.

Problems with setup.
I experienced some short term problems with setup. Problems were resolved after some research. I don't know if it was system specific, but I was unable to set up both the Ethernet and USB interfaces at the same time. It worked on my previous printer. Ended up deleting the USB connection completely and only using the Ethernet. The scan to computer app seems to go offline after a period of time, but unknown why. Could be Ethernet related. Not a major concern.

Prints Great but Drinks Ink!
The printer functions as promised but in 2 months, I have spent more on ink than I did the printer. Yes, I print a a lot but was told by HP Chat, it was the printer I needed and was equivalent to what I had. Not going to argue with AI but this printer is not even close to the Officejet Pro 576dw that I replaced. In my opinion, that was the best printer for the price HP has ever made! I will be ordering a different printer and will either save this as a backup or donate it.

Nice Machine for the Money!!!
I purchased an HP because it was much more solid than the competition. I have a 12 year old HP Laser Jet and it is still going strong, so I'm sold on the brand. I had an Epson tank printer which cost very little to operate, however, the wireless link connection failed on a unit with less than four years use and I had no recourse but to trash it. I am a Senior Wealth Advisor and need quality prints for many uses in servicing my clients and prospects. I love the speed and color copies of this new machine and although the size is on the larger side, I love how robust it feels. Looking forward to many years of quality service, just like with my old, trusty, HP Laser Jet. A+++++

5-Star Printer Ruined by 1-Star Scanner Setup
Hardware-wise, this printer is excellent. Basic printing set up smoothly and worked immediately through standard Windows 11 printer settings. However, getting the scanning functionality properly configured was a remarkably poor customer experience that drags down an otherwise great device.
Key Issues
1) Misleading Setup Guidance: Following HP’s initial instructions directs you to download the HP Smart app as the primary management suite. However, after installing it, the core feature of initiating a "Scan to Computer" directly from the printer’s physical control panel remains completely unsupported and unavailable.
2) Fragmented Software Architecture: To enable simple walk-up scanning from the printer panel to a PC, users are forced to hunt down and install a completely separate package—HP Universal Scan. It makes no sense why a primary, advertised function requires multi-stage software installations scattered across different applications rather than being integrated into the main driver or HP Smart app from day one.
3) Unnecessary Complexity & Poor Documentation: Setting up a standard feature on a commercial-grade OfficeJet printer should be seamless out of the box. Having to navigate contradictory instructions, trial-and-error software combinations, and consult AI tools just to enable basic network scanning is unacceptable for a flagship office device—especially on a modern Windows 11 ARM configuration.
Recommendations for HP
1) Consolidate Software: Integrate full network scanning drivers and "Scan to Computer" listeners directly into the initial setup workflow or within the core HP Smart installer package.
2) Clear Documentation: Ensure setup guides clearly specify driver dependencies for control panel features across standard and Windows 11 ARM environments, rather than sending users down dead-end software paths.

9135 Printer
When my 8720 “died,” I bought a home printer, vs office quality, and was disappointed with speed, options, and especially the display screen — almost impossible. SO I bought the 9135 and am generally happy, except that I have a project in Word (collection of stories) that I have in a special layout. By overriding the “paper size mismatch” I could print on the other two printers, but with the 9135 that format goes completely askew. It will take me days if I have to re-format my files.

Make sure ALL updates are installed! You will not be able to use until they are install but once all updates are installed this is an A1 HP Printer. Already recieved my 1st set of ink for 3 months free. After the 3 months the printer cost is very reasonable for your printer needs/use.

Setup was not easy - received printer driver errors and are still receiving
Print quality is good
Have contacted the Geek Squad several times to solve printer driver error - still pops back up
Tried to do an online chat via the HP error message and ended up almost being scammed
Would love to have and actual HP person log in and fix this

downgrade from my last Officejet Pro 8740
This will work fine for some people. If you print more than 100-200 pages a month, pass.
Pluses: It is fast and quiet. It can fax, but who does anymore? Really needs a print to fax.
Minuses: I REALLY want to be able to copy legal docs from the flat glass. No can do here.
Paper trays are too small. Also, hard to load.
The exit tray absolutely sucks. It is flimsy. I don't trust that it is here for the long haul.
Maybe it's me but ink 936 appears to be much more expensive than the 952.
Scan/copy from the doc feeder is not terribly reliable compared to my old printer.
It drops scan to pc randomly.
Overall, No comparison to the older Officejet models. The Officejet Pro is no longer the home office/small business workhorse printer it used to be. More of a pink pony now. It is more of a casual home printer that can do more volume than the $100 printers. I have been an HP exclusive printer person since the 1980's but I would not not buy it again.

Frustrating because it won’t print
This printer locks up anytime I try to print a large file. Clearing the print spooler does nothing. I had to resort to my old laser printer to print a hundred page document this week. I wish I had bought something else.

Nice but not great
The printer prints fast and has a good auto feeder / scanner.
However, there are some shortcomings.
- It prints so fast that the ink is not totally dry and can smear.
- it is very noisy when it prints.
- and I use Quicken and it will not print single checks. It prints 3 checks, 2 checks, but not 1 check.
So I would say this product was rushed to market.

New printer that actually works
I had a three year-old HP printer that after two months quit printing and I could never figure out why. I bought this 9135 and so far it was easy to set up and it worked perfectly. I’m really enjoying it.

Mor complicated than needs to be.
It’s great that it can do more than my last HP, but the constant back and forth to tell the printer what your needing done is a bit excessive this day and age.

HP OfficeJet Pro 9135
I upgraded my Epson printer to the HP OfficeJet Pro 9135. The HP prints a lot faster. There is a learning curve. The only thing I cannot figure out is I cannot see a print preview before I confirm and print. From what I can see the problem comes back as I need up update the print drivers. I have updated the driver but I still cannot see the print preview.

very fast and prints superb quality
very easy to use and connect to your phone for wireless printing. i love the ease of HP printer app that can easily let m e scan as well as print wirelessly anywhere i am in the hose. Print speed is very quick for a small home printer, and the color quality is very vivid even on a low color setting. printer it self is well made tilted screen is very nice to view at an angle or flat and touch screen is very responsive. ink system looks very good as i have printed over 50 color pages and inks are not even halfway yet.

works very well
It is a very nice printer and have had very little problem in its day-to-day use, the only problem I have had with it, is not all scanning and faxing Etc software comes with the installation of the printer. It tells you to go to such and such page to download such and such app. Took me well over an hour to install the printer.

A great printer for card stock, envelopes, as well as regular paper
Prints card stock and labels without jamming. Plastic trays seem fragile.
Make sure to remove all packing materials before turning the printer on. There is a protective foam pad on the scanner glass. (And a small cardboard insert in the lower paper tray you might miss.)
Both paper trays will expand to take legal size paper (14”), or A4 paper. Plain paper only in the lower tray, the upper tray will also take envelopes and other media, such as stickers and card stock.
The plastic of the trays seems very thin, so handle with care.
The scanner glass measures 12.5” x 9”, so if you need to copy legal size, you’ll need to use the automatic feeder, which scans both sides at once.
The Quick Start Guide is a very easy three steps.
If you enroll in the 3 months of free ink, you will not be able to use non-HP ink cartridges (3rd party) in the future. This printer will work with HP cartridges that have new or remanufactured cartridges which have a reused HP chip — unless you sign up for the free 3 months of ink, which turns the printer into an HP+ printer. If you connect with internet, HP will then do security measures and block non HP cartridges that previously worked. The printer contains a non-replaceable battery. Perhaps so that when the battery dies, so does the printer?
The printer comes with four “set-up” cartridges, which means there is not much ink in them. These are very easy to install by opening the front of the printer, which will bring the print head into position to install the cartridges.
The power source is 100-240V, 50/60 HZ, 1200 mA, so this printer should work just about anywhere in the world.
The print test page looks very crisp, although the printed page’s black is not as vivid as my old HP printer which also has original HP cartridges. The fonts are clean, although some characters mis-printed on a test page, colors are decent. I printed four pages, back to back on my old HP printer and this new one. The old printer beat the new printer by 3 seconds. I do miss the little musical song letting you know that your print job is finished.
The printed sheets come out onto a little tray, which pulls out (otherwise the printed pages fall on the floor.) This little tray may not hold a large print job.
The ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) scans both side of a page at the same time - nice. Even though both sides scan at the same time, when printing, one side prints, then the printer sucks the page back into the printer, and prints the other side. The page alignment is not perfect, so the second side of my double sided test page has a long black shadow at the bottom of the page. My old HP printer did not do that, but it cut off part of the top edge. Which shows that nothing is perfect.
When scanning a book on the glass document tray, the scanner lid lifts up a bit to eliminate shadows. There still is a shadow in the spine of the book, but it’s a big improvement. Text stays in focus instead of blurring.
It does print on card stock without jamming. However, the card stock slips in such a way that the first edge does not print correctly. Perhaps this is due to there not being a paper length guide in the upper tray for 11” long paper. There are adjustable paper width guides, and paper length guides for No. 10 envelopes and C5 and DL, but nothing for 11” paper or card stock. This is a failure, and I took off one star for this.
I printed a sheet of 30 Avery labels, and they came out just fine, none pealed off inside the printer, because HP has redesigned the paper path to have less of a sharp bend.
All in all, a good printer. And I am happy to be able to print on card stock again.

Not real happy it didn't come with an instruction booklet. Also I've had to scotch tape the door by the turn on because it seems warped and wouldn't stay shut. I wrote this previously in a review and no one responded.

Shocked at how easy setup was!
Set up after unboxed and plugged in took less than 3 minutes! What a surprise after having a competitors printer that had nothing but problems for 2 years. What really surprised me was it hooked up to my internet by itself! It hooked up to my computer the first try and same for my phone and iPad. It prints beautifully, however I have not printed anything in color yet. The one issue I suggest HP consider is the paper shoot. Where the prints come out. It could be about an inch or two longer and wider as larger documents tend to slide off.
