I am on my 3rd printer, after 2 exchanges
After 2 weeks of use my printer would start to leave a black line down the right sided margin (horizontal). I exchanged the 1st printer and the 2nd printer started doing the same thing at 2 weeks of use. I am now on my 3rd printer and only 2 days in and am hopeful this printer doesn't do the same thing. I am disappointed after having had great HP printers in my many years of operating a business.

This printer gets a lot of use
This printer was purchased because 2-sided printing is periodically required.
I am on second full toner and I am disappointed that the toner cartridges run almost as much printer initial cost and the toner is not lasting for the 3000 copies stated.

First one of these I bought the sensor failed, kept saying there was no paper.
I now have the replacement and am having trouble with it again. This time it intermittently tells me there is no paper or when I want to print an envelope nothing happens. The toner cost more than the printer. At this point I hope to get full use out of the toner before it has to be junked.
I have purchased many, many HP products over the years, and this is the first one that has failed me.

Poor setup and wifi connect
The setup with this printer on wifi was not possible, the constantly blinking blue icon was meaningless. The printer had to be connected via wire to the router, which was dumb. Not happy with this setup procedure. The lack of a status screen is idiotic. Otherwise, it prints in black and white as it should. Speed is ok, nothing special but nothing bad either.

Great Laser Printer for the $$
I received the HP Laserjet Pro M203dw lat week and have putting it through it's paces over the last few days. So far, it has passed with flying colors. It was a snap to hook up to my by WiFi to my Apple Airport Time Capsule network, using WPS. I really like the duplex feature, but you do have to turn it on using the website.

New Backup Printer Becomes Primary Printer...
I purchased a new backup laptop from Dell; the HP Printer I had associated with the old backup laptop would not work with Windows 10, so I researched and purchased the M203dw.
However, when it arrived instead of using it with the backup laptop I switched it with my HP LaserJet Pro M15w that was assigned to my primary laptop.
Turned out the M203dw fit very well next to my HP Officejet 7612, has more capacity than the Pro M15w, and is faster than the Pro M15w. As well, the small window feature which allows you to check the level of paper in the tray is excellent but what is even better is the tray on top that allows you to add an envelope or one piece of card stock to print and not worry about taking out the big stack of paper... EXCELLENT feature!

Without question, the worst printer I've ever owned. When it does in fact print, it is extremely slow. I am sitting here and it's printing 1 page every 60 seconds. Every time I call HP tech support, they want me to update drivers but I'm calling every 2-3 months.

Worst HP Printer . . . ever!
Our secretaries' printers were getting long in the tooth and would need replacement. So, when the first one went, we bought one of these to "test drive". It seemed to work well. So, when the next one went, we bought another. The roller on the first had to be replaced after 6 months. The roller on the second had to be replaced just after the 1-year warranty expired, and now, the replacement roller on the first has to be replaced. They suck down toner as though it was their life blood.

All as advertised.
I bought this as a replacement for my HP 1606 printer that stopped doing double-siding. (I'm keeping that for single-sided printing until the new toner cartridge I just put in runs out!) The M203dw does all the same things and even automatically does double-siding, which is nice. I'm happy with the purchase, though it did take 3 calls to Customer Service to get it working wirelessly.

Works well but will not center images on 4x6
I used to service the HP LaserJet 4 some 20 years ago. It was a fine printer in its day so when the time came for me to purchase my first laser jet for home use I chose the LaserJet Pro M203dw as it looks much like the old LJ 4 so it should would work as well, or so I thought. Set up went fine and I had no troubles connecting it to my home wifi network. Print quality is excellent with no streaks, lines or artifacts on the pages, but I can't seem get it to center images on any media smaller than Letter or A4. This is important to me because I need to print images onto 4x6 paper sheets, but the M203dw just won't center the image no matter which tray I use or how I set the programs and drivers. Several very popular programs have been tried and the drivers and firmware have been updated so it is not the software. HP Smart, the diagnostic program that came with the printer, gives a size mismatch error but it doesn't tell me where that mismatch is exactly. I'll be happy to give this printer 5 stars but only after that issue is resolved.

Wireless is too difficult!
To set up wireless printing for my Mac network, I had to call tech support and hand control of my laptop to someone for about 20 minutes. I can't believe all the stuff he had to do to make it work. It's fine now, but what a PAIN! I'm sure you lost money on this printer. It cost $125 and the time I wasted of tech support must surely be near that much. HP tech was great but the job was awful for such a common need.
I wanted a laser with small footprint. This does the job. Just wish wireless was more user friendly to set up.

Prints great, but HP support was sub-standard
The printer works well, but I gave up on setting up the wireless. The HP startup tool did not show the printer model, and the manual referred me to the HP startup tool. After going through this loop for a few hours I gave up and I just used the cable. Reaching HP by phone turned out to be practically impossible. I don't recommend this printer if you expect to use the wireless feature. But if you don't, if works great.

Awesome printer! Out of the box it was ready to go, printing crisp clean images and documents. I print a lot of manuals so the two sided printing is a real bonus that saves paper and gives them a professional look. The Wi-Fi and HP remote printing is a definite plus when I get emails I need to print I can send them wherever I am and not worry about forgetting to print them later. Absolute garbage, our company bought about 30 of these things, and they systematically started to break down after just few weeks, the list of never ending issues are: toners doesn't last claimed capacity, toners just smear toner all over printed papers, drums get periodically dirty, pages just comes out blacker and blacker, and being so expensive the whole lot is just ridiculous, AVOID!

Terrible Setup Instructions; Bad Default Print Opt
The setup directions are terrible. It does not tell you that you CANNOT remove the toner cartridge until the machine has been powered on (there are locking struts that do not retract and cannot be made to retract without breaking them until the printer has been powered up once).
The default settings on the print driver include duplex printing. Find for saving paper but not at all helpful as a default. Anywhere I've ever worked, no one wanted duplex printing all the time. Usually just the opposite.
The printer works just fine with the Univeral print driver 6.1.

It's still compatible!
I dreaded setting up this printer so I left it in the box a month. I've only had it set up about a week now & it is working fine. But I worried for nothing because the set-up was a breeze. What was important to me about it was that the printer came with a disk for set-up. I work on an ancient tower computer that I use for business only. It is NOT connected to the internet, so downloading a program wasn't an option. Although this printer is ultra-modern, it is compatible with my old-school computer & I am grateful for that.

My partner diagnosed the issue before I paid. We got the drivers an it worked. It works OK but its wifi sometimes cuts out. There are no instructions for replacing the cartridge. It replaces an HP printer that lasted apps. 3 years. I have trouble with my HP printer at home too. Not good.

Reminds me of a Lexmark printer
I ordered an HP LaserJet M201dw printer because we had just received one and liked it. Unfortunately, I was told, the M201dw was replaced by the M203dw, so I ordered this printer.
It is nothing like the M201dw, and I am trying to return it.
The color of the printer was supposed to be black, it was white.
After I unboxed the printer and saw the color, I was still game and opened up to look at the toner. Much to my surprise was a second part to replace, a drum, as well as the toner. This is like the Lexmark we are replacing.
First time I have seen an HP printer with a drum.
Just wanted to warn anyone else that might be thinking of this printer.

I've only had my HP printer for a month AND I am in love with it! In past, I had to borrow my housemate's printer and it was a color, inkjet and wasted both paper and ink. My NEW HP printer does double-side and has perfect LaserJet performance. I could not be happier and satisfied with my purchase.

The disc would not load maybe because of Windows 10. My Connect Tec people got it to work. Only made one copy so far but it seems to be OK.

Laserjet Pro M203DW Great Printer
I searched and searched for a reasonably priced printer that could replace my almost irreplaceable Model 1320. The problem was that I needed a network printer that was reasonable to run as well as purchase. The Laserjet Pro M203DW has fit the bill perfectly. it does double sided copies and envelopes. It is print only which fits my needs. It logged onto my network and all my computers apple and pc alike easily. It is installed on the 2nd floor and my router is in the basement. Most of our use is on the 1st floor and it works great. I might add that our 1st and 2nd floors in our house are concrete due to radiant floor heating. I only gave its 'Features' 4 Stars since it doesn't have an envelope slot like my HP Model 1320 (an incredible printer).

PRINTER CONSTANTLY DROPS OFFLINE; DON'T BUY!
I've had the same chronic problems with this printer that I've read across many sites. My printer constantly drops offline. I'll reboot it and it stays on for maybe a day and then it's dead again. Very frustrating. HP Print and Scan Doctor is very glitchy too. It keeps giving me pop ups saying that there's an updated version of the software, but it can never find it. I used to be a HP fan, but this printer is clearly not ready for prime time.
