When my own printer started failing, I knew it was a matter of time before replacing it. This new generation is wonderful. Lightweight, space-saving size, and yet still a clean printing with very fast output. The ink cartridge will last beautifully. I'm very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good HP Printers, Expensive Toners. I have always bought HP Laser Printers for home use as I find them most reliable and trouble free. However, I believe the HP original Toner Cartridges are quite pricy and the fact that they don't have refill options not being available sucks. The old a printer gets the price of the original Toner price rises. And of course, HP blocks all access to all Third Party Cartridges. So I gave 4 stars instead of 5. If HP is reading this I hope you take note, especially with eco concerns, HP must do something instead of charging us eco waste and dumping those used up toners in the dump.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HP Laser Jet MFP a Winner After a great 20 year run with my HP Laser Jet IIID, I turned to another HP Laser Jet to provide me with the clarity you only get from a Laser printer. I've had it 3 months now and it is working perfectly. It's actually faster to print and quieter than my previous HP and that was a nice surprise. The double sided printing is working flawlessly as well and that is a great paper saver. So far, excellent!

After reading them and realized App is REQUIRED and internet access is also REQUIRED, as a long time HP laser lover (owned quite a few), I decided not to go with HP this time. Please listen to feedbacks, they do matter and they can drive away paying customers. I'll return when such requirements are optional. Again, thanks for keeping the negative reviews, which indeed give hope. I'll check back in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great printing work horse. Setup was extremely difficult. Once set up, this printer is a reliable work horse. When you hit the print button you can be confident that your output will be waiting for you. Great, clear monochrome printing. The setup is horrible. After trying many times to see the printer in HP Smart with out success I to be reset the Wifi config using a very obscure and procedure. Then, it kept giving me 49 errors which are basically firmware asserts/crashes. I could not get it into a pre-setup state so that configuration could proceed. On impulse I reset the router (TP-Link AX11000) and after that it came up fine. From there I was able to go through the setup process. The whole process cost me about 4 hours. I was fuming at the end. In addition, cut out all the attempts to push me into Instant Ink. I should only have to say NO once. I think I ran into that at least 3 times before I was done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the last HP product I will ever buy Straight out of the box, I was required to download an app in order to set up the printer. I have set up numerous Wi-Fi enabled printers using the interface provided on the printer itself and introducing an obligatory app is needless cruft. Then the app requires that I share my location with HP. Why I need to share my location to make copies is beyond me. Then the app informs me that the printer’s firmware needs to be updated. Which it tries to do. And fails. Even though the app is named “HP Smart” it is very dumb because it cannot handle software updates. So now the printer must be plugged into a computer to be updated. If anyone at HP is reading this, is it too much to ask that a brand new printer should work flawlessly out of the box? Considering that there are other brands of printers available, I should be over the moon with my purchase. Instead I’m filled with regret and remorse.

There is no need EVER for a printer to require HP accounts to be created or for the printer software to communicate outside of the local network. (with the exception of firmware and software updates initiated by the users, not the printer.) Whoever came up with this idea, the person who hired that idiot, and everyone who agreed to, or helped implement this bovine scat should be fired, sued, and probably prosecuted... I'm not sure for what they could be prosecuted for, but for something.

This is ridiculous that to spend money on a device that then requires you to set up an account so the printer can send information back to HP and there is no option to decline. Will be returning and purchasing from Canon now that a similar device is in stock.

I always knew laser was faster but, until you have to print off 100s of pages you don't realize how much time it saves. setup was very simple, using thew HP app I had my printer connected to Wifi and printing in just a couple minutes and the HP print app is very easy to use. The quality of the prints has been spot on, text documents are easy to read and no risk of ink running like with an inkjet. I also love being able to do double sided copying. Overall I am very happy and this has been a great addition for my home office.

I again chose a LaserJet for my home office because the ink never goes dry. I was a little concerned that setup may be difficult since I use a MacBook Pro, but it was very easy. It also prints directly from our iPhones. The print is crisp and clear. So far it is a reliable printer.

We rarely had any problems, printed way more pages, faster and cleaner then our last laser printer as well. Of course, ink cartridges are pricey but these are more affordable than other leading brands. This HP LaserJet MFP M234dw Printer was the very best (price and features including new toner cartridge's) in the selection of all Laser multi purpose black and white laser printers we researched. It was a long search. Took a few days of comparison shopping, but turns out this one was as advertised. Set up in about 20 minutes, that's un-boxing to running to the first test print. We set it up with a cable, (not supplied) but it does have the Wi-Fi option. It has a really compact footprint. Been printing a few weeks now, no problems, no adjustments or changes were necessary, software out of the box and set up from instructions pretty straight forward. Great Value, especially if you don't need color for everything you print. Scanned paperwork and saved effortlessly, and scanned our Id's in one shot certificates perfectly, also not to forget that it's super quiet too!! I definitely recommend!

It is very compact so it fits perfectly on my workstation and despite having more functionality, it it takes up even less space than my previous printer. We were all impressed by the vivid and bold prints it made, the prints were even better than the original document! Overall, it is super fast, accurate, and easy to operate, and most importantly, can handle volume for my small business with ease. I would recommend this printer to anyone who needs a wiz in the office that's also affordable!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Home Office or Homework The HP LaserJet M234dw exceeded my expectations. The printer quickly prints double-sided sheets in both long and short sided pages. The print is crisp and clear even with the smallest font. I like that it is compact. I have a small office desk and it fits perfectly. I had difficulty setting the printer up. It would not connect to my Wi-Fi. Turns out, it will not connect to a “guest” Wi-Fi or a group connection as say a dorm. That was disappointing. I finally put it on my main Wi-Fi and it is working well. I’ve been able to print from my phone and my laptop very easily. Many times, since I am mostly printing my class work assignments, I print double-sided. It can print on many different sizes of paper and you can sign up for the toner delivery from HP. I have not needed more ink yet, but take note that you must use cartridges with a new or reused HP chip. I am a fan of this printer because it does not print in color! I also like that it stays in a sleep mode so I can always print without having to run and power the printer on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Printer But with some caveats Purchased the HP needing a new Home network Printer and this one fit the bill for what I was looking for with the capabilities. It's done everything I've needed for work and everything needed for my son and His school work. Setup wasn't the easiest, but once you follow along it wasn't terrible. Would like some clearer instructions, especially for someone like myself who was brand new to HP Printers. Network setup through the app was pretty easy, and now my whole house has access to the printer through WiFi. So far everything has printed pretty quickly and nicely. No smudges or smears or marks of any kind. The only caveat, is HP forces you to create an online account and use an App for the Printer. It's a printer, it doesn't need all this extra stuff for HP to keep track of. That's really my only complaint.

The print quality was great and this blows standard printers out of the water. I've never had a laser printer until now and I'm never going back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little All-in-One! Very first thing you will notice about this AIO is how compact and light weight it is. It is truly a fit for executive office looking sleek! Setup - Setup could have been slightly better but it was uneventful. It requires you to download a utility from Microsoft store to connect the printer to wi-fi. I wasn't able to do this on work laptop due to download restriction. But once I connected the printer to wi-fi, I was able to add it on all my laptop/desktops using standard "add device" prompt. Printing - One of the things I immediately noticed was how quickly the printer activates and starts printing from sleep. My other AIO takes at least 30 seconds before it prints first page, HP does it in less than 10 seconds. Printing works well and double sided worked just fine. The quality of print is comparable to most laser printers. Other - I have not tried scanning yet but it does show up as all in one on my laptop so I am fairly sure I can scan it to file on my laptop. I may have missed the automatic document feeder for faster/bulk copying but I felt like it was unnecessary function. I rarely used it on my other AIO. Overall great printer and

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Compact Printer! I needed a new printer that could handle a fairly high print volume but that wouldn't take up much room in my home office. Setup was fairly simple and I love that it is wireless. Another great feature is that it prints double sided which helps save me on paper. I was able to print a 21 page document in under a minute. All pages printed with great clarity. This printer is also much quieter than my previous one. I have not only used regular paper in it but also some thin cardstock and it worked flawlessly. Having a flat bed scanner is also wonderful because it is allowing me to copy documents quickly and easily. From important documents to coloring pages, this printer seems to do it all. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a compact printer that is both versatile and easy to use. I feel it is perfect for both personal and professional use and I feel I will get many good years of use out of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfectly Simple Printer I have been using the HP LaserJet MFP M234dw printer for a couple weeks. Immediately, I loved the size of it. It is not too big or too small. I really appreciate the paper drawer being located in the front of the unit. It makes it very easy to see how much paper is in the machine. This is a double sided printer so there is no need to flip and rerun your paper. It prints very clear. The printer is very speedy. The scanner is very precise.. I appreciate how easy it is to make copies using the scanner. The set up was extremely simple also. It connected wireless almost immediately. This has fast become my go to printer for black and white documents and projects.

Once out of the box, the set up was very easy with the HP Smart App. We print a lot of labels for packages, craft projects and school work. This printer is so incredibly fast and efficient. It has greatly reduced the time it takes to print and I love that it's laser so I don't have to worry about the ink smearing. I don't know how we didn't have a printer like this before because I certainly could not do without now. Not only is printing amazing, it scans and copies items with a simple touch of a button. I am highly impressed with another great product from HP.

It was a little difficult, but I am not very good at electronics! Once I got it set up, I went in another room, found something to print from my phone, printed in no time! Was very clear . I then went upstairs of my house and sent something to printer from up there and it printed just as quick from up there. I am very happy and would very much recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Laser Printer for Home Business I received this printer today. Unpacking was easy. I set the LaserJet MFP M234dw printer up in less than 20 minutes. Note: If you are going to use this printer as both a wifi printer and a USB-connected printer! Please connect wifi before plugging it into a USB port of pc. It will save you some time. Next, I tested the printer out by sending a 15-page document through my printer. It began to print 4 seconds after pressing the print button. It took a bit longer when I sent the same document (double-sided). Next, I printed a few envelopes, printing envelopes was easier than I thought., my last laser printer gave me fits. The footprint of this printer was ideal, it fits on the top of my two-drawer file cabinet without any overhang. The scanner copied a page without any problems or smears. I was able to send a photo to my PC easily. This is a great laser printer for all that I need to do. It's perfect for my home business.

My first laserjet is a blessing.I know from other,no more dry cartridge,but the silence,fasteness and quality is exceptional.Unpacking was easy everuthing is plastic,but protected well. Setup flawless,both my phone and laptop did activated the printer in less than 1 min.I printed both sides and it was amaizng.printer pronts by itself both sides,no hassle at all.All you try to print goes smoothly,and the copier does the job fast and smoothly.Very impressed.

This specific HP LaserJet printer has three functions: print, copy and scan. It makes life so easy! The printer is light and sleek. It fits perfectly with in-home office decor and furniture! It was super easy to install and connect to WiFi. Thankfully there are no extra wires! It makes printing super easy by simply going into the HP Smart App and printing from anywhere. This printer only prints in black and white which totally works for us. We absolutely love the convenience of having a printer at home now! HP did really well with this printer! It prints in black and white and if you'd are doing volume printing this is it. It is super quick. The pages come out in no time. And if you need copying and scanning you will be very happy with this model as it is very precise and easy to use. The quality is good ! I recommend it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not for Education/ Enterprise use. No stand alone drivers available for Print Server deployment. Not for Enterpise or K-12 use! Requires an account to be setup to even download the drivers. This Printer cannot be used for deployment in a Enterprise environment. I was unable to download the stand alone drivers to setup for deployment to a school district. The HP Smart app is required to download but we blocked access to the Store apps in our network. Printer will not work if the setup is incomplete which requires registration of the printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from hp laserJet MFP This is a compact, sturdy printer, easily fits on my small desk beside computer. The instructions are 4 steps, very easy. You simply plug in cord ,attach the plastic paper cover shield, install the HP software from the provided website, and connect the printer to your wi-fi. Simple as that. You must have Windows 10 or more to install this printer, so check your computer for what version you are running, and update your version if needed. The only issue I had was looking up what my Wi-Fi password was, then I realized it is written on the router itself so solved that quickly. I have never tried a laser jet printer before, but I am glad I did because the speed of printing compared to my old printer is outstanding, very fast with great quality in the print. The directions are simple and straight forward, simply four steps, and just the power chord is all you need to plug in to get this printer started. As for the toner, the printer comes with a pamphlet that has the HP instant ink printing plan which allows you to save up to 50% on toner with the printing plan. I have not tried the plan yet, but will keep that for when the toner needs a refill in the future.

A beautiful part of homeschooling is that there are a ton of free resources available but you have to have a capable printer to make it worth it. This document printer is quick and efficient and I love the colored lighting that signifies different things! It can print of to 30 pages per minute and has a Quick copy function. It is easily connected to Wifi as well. It is compatible with the HP app, making it super convenient to print from your cell phone or tablet. I would highly recommend if you're wanting a speedy, great quality black and white printer.

Set up was super easy! I was able to connect it to my computer as well as my phone to get quick labels printed for work. I was looking for something that could handle small business jobs, I am mostly printing forms, confirmation pages and shipping labels and this is doing a great job. The convenience of printing is indescribable. I would recommend it!

Printer is artificially disabled unless running HP smart software to connect to the internet register an account and then pushes Instant Ink subscription. From a systems administration standpoint this unacceptable. You will find this out the hard way when setting the printer up like a typical HP printer with IP, etc. Only to discover after a few prints the print ceases to function until you download, install, and run the HP Smart software. Also, if you change the PIN (as you would in a centralized business environment) the HP "smart" software looses it's mind and doesn't recognize anything but numerals. The Brand should be avoided in general if HP does this with all it's network\Wi-Fi printers.

The printer prints and copies very well and the printed documents are of high quality. I received an ink cartridge as part of the purchase offer but have not yet used it. The printer is of high quality, has a sleek and modern appearance, and functions very well. I hope to use it for many years in my home office environment. The WiFi connection to the printer is very reliable is automatically maintained. As a retired chemical engineer, I would highly recommend this printer to others.

It connected to my WiFi with ease as well. We do a lot of printing at our house with children who are in middle school. The quality of the prints is crisp and clean. This printer is also fast. We didn’t have to wait around for prints to finish. Another great product from HP.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY!! Better off buying a brick! MUST create online account to download and install drivers. This function was blocked on our corporate network. Had to connect with a MIFI to connect and create a phony account just to obtain drivers for a local USB connected Mac, then turned off MIFI so printer cannot talk to HP. The 2nd HP printer (M234dw) would not install drivers on our print server, no version of old or new drivers worked, - nothing. Never had issues in past networking HP printers - always very solid. Now I just purchased a brick and have to go thru aggravation sending it back. Canon and Savin will be top of list for future purchases. All this aggravation so HP can track client activity on their printers, IMHO is none of HP's business!!!!

I have an old inkjet printer and this is a huge upgrade for me, I should have gotten one a long time ago. I don't have to worry about bringing my computer into the other room to print, I can just sit on my couch and wirelessly print to the other room. Not only that but it prints almost immediately which is so convenient. Set up couldn't have been easier, I went on the site provided, entered the model and began setting up, the wireless setup was a breeze, all I had to do was select my wifi in the list provided and that was all! I really can't believe how easy everything was, it is no longer a huge inconvenience to print a document. I signed up for the free 2 month trial of instant ink provided with the printer and I already have my new toner for when this one runs out. What a great experience this has been so far, I just love that I don't have to waste money on my ink drying out because this toner will last me a while!

All it took 15 mins to print the 1st page. Paper Tray is good enough to handle sufficient papers. Printing quality is amazing. i did compared print outs with my old printer and this new one. HP Laserjet is a clear winner. Double side printing is an amazing feature and it works seamlessly in this machine. Scanner: Very important feature i use mostly is scanning. This flat bad scanner gave an excellent color and black and white scanning and the edge feature and rotating feature is amazing to get the desired output. The option to scan as an image and pdf is additional hat to this printer. Copier: Simple copy process and quick. Multiple pages copy worked well as well. Overall this printer is a good one for Home Office and for households with students where lot of printing needs come into play.. A SATISFIED CUSTOMER

I had no problem setting up the printer with my laptop and android phone. I am able to print things a lot quicker and the quality is really great. i would highly recommend this product to people for home use as it is invaluable. HP also has great plans for replacement ink when you create an account. HP is a brand I trust and know will last a long time.

For laser printers, this enrollment includes opting in to toner subscriptions. The process is cannot be skipped while setting up the printer. This program is a cash-grab by HP, and their printers are rendered partially functional without it. I will be returning this and opting for a another brand.

Got it before closing at 11pm but it took over an hour to get it set up and print. WHY do you need to steal our information and provide a crappy product at the same time? Will never buy another HP product if it requires extensive set-up, no plug and play I no pay.

I love HP products for their reliability and general ease of use. I will say that you have to download the HP app to get the printer to connect to your WIFI as there is no touch screen to do this. Other than that, I like the computer.

While I appreciate Hewlett Packard's support for Linux, the instructions are not clear as to the installation process. I've had the printer for over a week, now, and I still am not able to use due to an alert stating the installation process is incomplete. I'm following the instructions found on the HPLIP website.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HP LaserJet MFP, answer to all home office needs! The HP LaserJet MFP is a great laser printer that offers everything you need in a laser printer in a small package. Easy to set up and maintain without headaches on your network, wifi and even on your phone. I am very specific about the brands of electronics that I buy and use. This printer has so many great features included and it even has double sided printing which it does all itself! With my last printer I had to wait while it thought of which letter it was going to print next, but boy this laser printer can spit out 30 one sided pages or 19 two sided pages (two sided, which is both front and back)! The Hewlett Packard support website does a good deal of providing directions and problems solving. The software will continue to load and install your printer. When you goto the support page and put the model in, it gives you so many cool features. There is a well packed faq section and the support team is really friendly. It is easy to set up and get running. The printer doesn't come with a USB printer cable and you will have to download the HP Software to get the ball rolling but its easy peasy. Once I installed the HP Software it found the printer via my network and the HP Software was a one and done! I was able to get the printer up and running on both a Windows 10 box and a Windows 11 box with no hiccups. Lets say you have a modem problem or router issue and it gets shut down for a few hours, so what - this printer has a self-network reset that will automatically detect and resolve connection issues. I used to be a big fan of the other laser printers and my old laser was a dumptruck on wheels. This HP LaserJet MFP is smaller by half the size and weight and is also energy effecient! However, the ink cartridge that was included was faulty which only allowed 50 pages to be printed successfully within the first 15 days of receiving the printer. After this, it reported "cartridge very low." After submitting a request to have this cartridge replaced and being transferred 6 times and 1 hour on the phone, a solution was presented. I had to rebuy a cartridge and once it is delivered, it will be refunded. Beware of buying from this company.

When i can get connected to it, it is nice as i can print from anywhere in my house to two hours away in another town. Then sometimes I cant connect to it. I'm sure it is something I'm not doing right, but it usually happens after a storm when the power goes out. It's like I have to go through a set up again and I forget how. The instructions are not clear. I'm currently experiencing this again.

It is super fast and the quality of the prints are excellent. We have printed everything from documents, mailing labels and glossy pictures. Without having to freak out if I’ll have enough ink for any projects. Simple enough to use on your phone or manually. Love the fact that the refill cartridge is larger than expected. The range of wireless through the home is amazing. Usually I would have to be 2 feet away of a printer for it to accept my prints. After the very simple and streamlined setup process we printed our first pages. The text was not as crisp as I had hoped, but after adjusting the settings it was very clear and readable. The printer was fast and quiet when printing documents and it even has the ability to print on both sides without the need to re-feed half-printed sheets. This is very convenient and can save a lot of paper. The scanner is very useful for capturing digital copies of bills and invoices so you don't need to keep a filing cabinet full of documents. The buttons and small display are very serviceable and accessible. A multi-color LED strip acts as a status indicator and adds a nice touch. We signed up for the $2.00 per month toner service after our 6-month free trial. This will allow us to print up to 100 pages per month while toner will be shipping to us once it detects we are low. This should prove to be quite convenient and not too expensive compared to the traditional model of buying one at a store or online after the toner starts to run out. Overall we are happy with the performance an appearance of this printer. I would recommend it for those looking to get a good quality and quiet printer/scanner with breaking the bank. I changed jobs so I turned in my printer back to work and now I have my own HP LaserJet. I have love having this little LaserJet in my home and its mine. This printer is so quiet, I printed a document 3 times because I didn't hear it print. I received my first toner so quickly I was super excited and happy to not have to search and make sure that I was purchasing the correct one. I knocked off a star because I had the most difficult time connecting it to a new router. The initial setup is simple and quick, but to connect to a new router I had a bit of trouble, but finally got everything back together. I am getting one for my parents and making sure they have the free toner too!

I have had many laser printers in my home and business and the smallest one is atleast double this size. This printer is great for any home office or business without much room that does not want to sacrifice features or speed. This printer is fully loaded with Wi-Fi networking, usb connectivity, AirPrint, it scans, it copies, it prints two sides, it’s extremely fast, it has an easy to use lcd, and so much more. It has all the features you need and looks good too. The print quality is razor sharp and rivals printers 4x the size and price of this little powerhouse. I didn`t need a color printer so black and white works fine for me. The setup was seamless It`s been working great ever since. I've plugged it in and set up.I`m happy that it takes up less space than my old printer and I`m thrilled with the WiFi connection which my old printer did not have. Prints super fast, and I don’t have to keep all 4 colors of ink on hand. Doesn’t jam and I can print remote. I do miss larger paper drawer. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightening Fast Setup and Print I've been using an inkjet printer for awhile, so this was my first laser printer. I didn't know it was going to be so fast to print! The setup was literally plug & play because I already had HP Smart installed on my PC. The printer has an ethernet port which I took full advantage of. I've had issues with printers on the wireless network that disappear when I'm trying to print, but I can confirm that this printer on ethernet is ALWAYS there. The loading tray only sticks out a few inches and is large enough that I was able to fit a full reem of paper with no problems. I appreciate that they went that route instead of giving the whole printer a larger footprint and enclosing the feeder entirely. Speaking of footprint, this printer has a very low profile and should fit comfortable on any printer cart or desktop. It's only twice the size of the thermal printer I have next to it. There's a soft status light on the front that shows me I'm connected to the network which is handy, although I'm confident it won't ever fall off the network. The scanner actually works really well with the HP Smart app. You can lower/raise the DPI, which is a good option when you are scanning documents and you want to save time, or when you have photos and you want to preserve the original quality. This printer is the perfect fit for all of my document printing needs, like purchase orders and packing slips, and fits perfectly in my small office space. I'm excited to see how much time it saves me this holiday season. I received this printer at a discount in exchange for an honest review, but I would gladly pay full price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for business Owners! *I received this product for my honest unbiased review* I own a tax software business. What does this mean? I print A LOT. Like an INSANE amount of documents for myself and clients. Its safe to say I have tried my share of printers, some good and some not so good including a few from HP. When I was approached to review this printer, I wasn't expecting much more than what I have already experienced in the past honestly. But HP under promised and over delivered with this one. First off, I already own a laser printer and it is HUGE, its so big it has a corner of my office dedicated to it. But this printer is compact for its capabilities. Pros: *Prints Fast *HP ink program will save you a lot of money *looks sleek and modern Cons *You have to use HP ink program to use this printer but its inexpensive so I didn't mind I gor rid of my older bulkier laser printer and replaced it with this one so I am very satisfied and lm looking forward to having smoother tax seasons with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HP LaserJet Printer I am not a very tech savvy person and I was able to link the HP LaserJet printer to my laptop and even my phone. It hardly takes up any space on my counter and is so very quiet. I am very impressed and already have bragged and recommended this printer to many of my colleagues and friends. Great innovation. I received this product at a discount.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Printing Daily The HP LaserJet MFP M235dwe Printer was easy to set up. I downloaded the HP app to all my families phones and now everyone can print at home or on the go. With the HP printer being wifi capable I am able to place it anywhere on my home. The free toner for 6 months through HP+ is a great feature, and it is very affordable after the 6 month trial. We are very happy with HP laser printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very fast printing and nice print The print was easy to setup with my wifi and a quick download to my phone so I can also use the app. The print is without flaw. The fastest print job on all my document in such a long time. I also have ink coming was m when low. Flawless all around.
