Great Economical Printer except Not Compatible with windows 7.
Great Features. Color is brilliant just like I would expect from an HP printer. My only dissatisfaction is that the printer driver does not work with Windows 7. I know most have computers that are up to date, but my 7 works fine for what I use it for, and I would think that the printer driver could be made to work with Windiws 7. It does, however, do a great job with my pictures when on my Windows 11 laptop.

Love my new printer!
My new HP printer works well, is much faster than my old 7640 in terms of print speed and capacity and the ink service works great. I no longer have to run to a store to get ink replacements and the printer automatically orders the right cartridge at the appropriate time. Color printing is smooth, pictures are pure and it’s really easy to operate. I’d buy it again!

Good printing with some strange behaviors
I like the compact size compared to my last printer. The everyday printing is good quality, but I always get an error when printing PDF’s that the help features have not answered. The pDF prints right away and then I get a message that it can’t print.

My new envy all in one printer is a disappointment
There is very little that I like about this printer. I replaced my old envy all in one when the feeder stopped working. The feeder on the new printer hasn’t worked from day one. It is terribly noisy. The quality of the printing is poor. The tray doesn’t extend automatically. It seems very cheaply made.

All is well
I love that I have a printer that actually works! Set up was interesting, nothing I was not really expecting. I am not a technology person by any means. I knew I would have a few issues. But I just kept working through it. It took me a Saturday afternoon and early evening to get through it. Walking away a few times in frustration as I do many technology issues. But kept coming back and eventually it all worked well. The printer often tells me that I should move it closer to my Wi-Fi connection. It still works fine being a few rooms away. I put it there purposely so my cats will not use it as a bed which is one of the reasons I needed a new printer in the first place. I tend to use my printer in spirts. I will have a major printing job that will need 100 or more copies. Then I will not need anything again for another month or so. I have not used the photo part of the printer yet. That will probably happen closer to the holidays. I would also strongly recommend to everyone that they take advantage of the HP ink and paper subscriptions. I feel that was one of the best financial decisions I have ever made. And it is so convenient.

Poor Functionality & Cost of Operation
Using this with a MAC is tricky especially if printing from preview. Presets on the printer are funky and you never really know if you will get double sided printing even
though its not selected. Difficult to resize what you want to print. You are forced into the ink subscription because buying ink from an office supply store is a buying ink cartridges that are smaller than what is supplied by the subscription service. So without the subscription you are paying more for ink. The subscription is priced per month based on volume. I am not a fan of subscriptions with another entity dipping into my pocket. I will not buy another HP product and can’t wait until this breaks.

I like the different features of the prints to make copies or print documents. It took me a minute to figure out how to print documents for my laptop. The directions were not on how to connect (syn) the printer with the laptop, this took a minute, but I figured it out. Scanning documents to my laptop and save as a file was challenging. But for the most part it suits my needs to make copies and print documents. The printer is the perfect size for my home office. Just not sure how to scan documents.

Glad You Asked ??
It’s great when it works. The color isn’t consistent and the change ink indicator prompts a bit late. It asks to load paper when plenty of paper is in the feeder. Even after changing the ink, now I can’t print anything because it wants photo paper when I’m printing a standard document. I’ve given up and am looking at other options for a replacement. I used to be HP only. Check it out, desktop, laptop, and printers. For years, no other brand.

HP printer great, interaction poor.
The printer is working fine with my Mac Mini M4 Tahoe OS, but my Mac app "Print Center" keeps saying the printer is "Out of Paper" but it is NOT!!! Interaction with HP has been terrible, the printer installation was very confusing, and I ended up going to a third party service (JustAnswer) without knowing it and was charged $70 plus got a subscription I had to cancel with JustAnswer!!! HP's website for printer service is horrible and with a Mac one does NOT need the HP printer app and HP should NOT suggest it for a Mac!!! In addition, the purchase of the new printer said I would get 3 months of free Instant Ink, which I have no idea if I am getting at all, and HP interaction about this is confusing and unclear and useless!!! Now HP is sending me a set of Instant Ink cartridges, which I have no idea if I am paying for them to not!!!

Okay, I was writing a review and the whole thing suddenly disappeared. Working poorly, just like the printer. Why can't we have a PRINTED User Manual delivered with the printer? It's slow and Scanner software is deficient. It's supposed to be for Photos, but the color print quality is poor. Instant ink is a scam; just buy your own cartridges.

The printer works really well for the craft projects that I've been working on. The only problem that I have is using the printer to print photos. It's not very easy to use.

It's OK
I don't like this new printer as much as I did my old one. This one is too finicky. I gives me fake error messages on my computer when pausing between pages when duplex printing, which is most of my printing. If I don't have my computer up and running before I turn on the printer, they don't seem to communicate properly and gives an error message when something is submitted to print, Very annoying.

When I bout the printer there was actually a bonus month of free ink so I am loosing out on the ink offer because of the difficulty of the online process. I am not happy about this!

A capable, sturdy printer at a nice price point - but lacking some features
I bought this printer to replace an HP Envy 7640 that couldn't communicate with the Instant Ink program. It was delivered quickly, and attached to the network without issue. The installation was a breeze. I was very happy with the price; it is a fine solution for home use. The packaging was excellent - the printer was well protected inside a box that was placed inside a larger box with more protecting bubble stuff.
That said, I found some compromises from my HP 7640, which I rate as "Excellent". We also have an HP 7800 series on another computer that I would rate "Excellent". So why the 4 stars instead of 5?
First of all, it is bigger than the 7640. Significantly bulkier. Second, it no longer includes a FAX function - not used very often, I'll admit, but when you need it you need it. Third, when you print, if you forget to pull out the tray, the paper ejects on to the floor. The 7640 automatically opened the tray to receive printed material.
In terms of performance (what really counts) it is just as good in print quality as either of our other printers. It seems to be a bit more fussy on accepting special paper that is thinner, but with care it gets the job done. The controls are very similar to the other HP printers we have; once you get into the "HP Ecosystem" you understand the control panel options and how they work.
At this price point, it is less expensive than the other two HP printers we bought in the past, and that's a big plus; but there doesn't appear to be an option for a pricier Envy printer that has more bells and whistles.
I've used it so far to copy, scan, and print; it does an excellent job on all three. However some years ago I began using the "VueScan" app on my Mac to do scanning, because it has multiple additional features after it captures the scanned image. In any event, VueScan and the HP printers play nicely together.
I looked at other options, and other manufacturers, but the interface of the HP Envy 7975 and the Mac Studio desktop is seamless, as were the other two Envy printers, so why mess with success? The HP drivers seem to be well done and compatible with the latest Mac software, a really big plus. Windows 11 on our PC has had no problems sending print jobs to the Envy 7975 over our wireless hookup.
One of the best features, in my opinion, is the use of replaceable cartridges. I'll admit that I haven't had much experience with the "refill" type of printers, but whenever a cartridge is replaced, you get a new print head. We've had a printer sit unused for several months, and running a cleaning routine from the HP software has restored a partially used cartridge to full functionality. I guess I'm of the belief "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". So we have Instant Ink on all the printers.
Oh yes, the old 7640 that I gave up for dead got fixed remotely by HP after about a week of back and forth chats and repair attempts. I gave up and ordered this new printer, but HP eventually did something from their end to reattach the old printer to their network; now I have three printers, but will put all of them to good use. And having all three, I have been able to compare their operation; other than the issues of some features I miss that were mentioned above, all three are equivalent in print speed, print quality, and reliability.
This HP 7975 is as close to plug and play as I've seen, particularly using it wireless, it works seamlessly from my phone, my tablet, my laptop, and the two desktop computers. Other than having been willing to spend a bit more for some additional features, this printer does the job very, very well.

The software to link to a HP computer is not friendly or easy. My old 7900 was much better. I have to be close to the printer for them to link up. It will not allow me to print using my wifi. Not better or improved. My next printer will probably be from a different supplier.

Great printer all in one printer. It’s efficient at printing large images and graphics. I got more ink through the HP subscription. Through WiFi, it can detect ink or paper levels for automatic refills. It’s large, so you need some extra space on a desk. It’s easy to use; just navigate through the screen or print straight from a computer. Everything is straightforward on the HP Envy photo 7975.

Easy to use and great for everyday printing
I’ve been using the HP Envy Photo 7975 for a while now, and it’s honestly been a really solid home printer. Setup was pretty painless, and once it was on Wi-Fi I could print straight from my phone or laptop without messing with cables. I’ve mostly used it for printing photos, seasonal cards, and regular documents, and the print quality has been consistently sharp, especially for photos where the colors come out really nice. It’s also quick enough that I’m not standing around waiting, and switching between photo paper and regular paper has been easy. Overall, it fits well into everyday use and feels reliable without being complicated, which is exactly what I wanted.

Fast, straight-forward printer
Turning off quiet mode, it is a fast printer for both text and photo. Only two nicks. First, the supplied drivers did not work; after discussing with tech support, reverted to an earlier driver set which solved the problem. Second, with previous HP printers, I set a default configuration to print in Black only. Can't seem to be able to do that with this printer/driver set.

Prints Easily and Quietly
The first thing I noticed about the HP Envy 7975 is how quietly it prints. I sat directly next to it and barely noticed any obnoxiously loud sounds. It was easy to set up. I only had to plug in the cord and install the app. It took a few minutes to connect and install the necessary software. The power cord is a little too short for my liking though. It kept coming loose, and I had to start over at one point. I like that there’s no need to plug it directly into the computer. It works via WIFI/bluetooth perfectly fine. It printed papers easily with the touch of a button. I also used the scan function from my phone, which is really nice and quick. Overall, I love the different options to print or scan. I can use the screen, my phone, or my laptop to quickly access the printer.

HP App is this printer’s biggest negative
The printer itself works fine. My biggest complaint is with the requirement of using the HP app to print because it is very slow to process a request. I preferred the ability I had with my old HP printer to use the generic print function. The response with the generic function was immediate.

HP Envy Photo 7975 has not been a good printer for me!
I am not satisfied with this printer. I don't know what it's problem is. I have reached out to HP with the issues with no response. The printer will shut off on it's own and then it tells me I shut it down improperly. The power plug does not fit snug so I have it pushed against the wall to keep it in. But every day, I have to jiggle that power plug to wake it up and use it. I like my printer to be ready and waiting for me. Not me having to prompt it. I don't care for the paper extender. It is difficult to pull out and I worry it will break. I don't want to leave it out because it is a bit flimsy and I fear if I bump it, it will break. HP stopped making my last printer, which I loved and lasted for 10 solid years. I don't anticipate keeping this one long as it is not working well for me. I don't recommend it to anyone who needs their printer ready and waiting for them. If you have the time to wait for it to wake up and want to work for you, then go for it. Otherwise, move on to another printer.

New vs old
My old HP printer 7800 work much better than the newer 7975 printer. On the 7800 printer the slide catcher for the printed paper would automatically open, the 7900 doesn't. The 123456-auto activation to print is slower than the 7800. At times the printer would print half a page, and it would stop.

Good quality photos
As a homeschooling mom, the HP Envy Photo 7975 has worked its way into our everyday routine. I use it constantly for worksheets, schedules, and little projects the kids come up with. The print quality is solid. Pages come out clean without streaks. Setup was simple, and the ability to print straight from my phone through the HP app makes life a lot easier.
One thing I actually use a lot is the dedicated photo tray. I print family pictures pretty often, and the photos look better than I expected for a regular home printer. I’m also planning to use that tray a ton around greeting-card season since the photo paper stays loaded separately, which is super convenient.
Now for the downsides: I really don’t love that this printer still uses traditional ink cartridges. It feels outdated, especially when so many printers now use EcoTank-style refill systems that make way more sense for families who print a lot. The cartridge system feels a bit like a money drain, and the ink can get pricey fast. It also isn’t the fastest printer, especially for color pages.

HP Photo Envy 7975
I just recently started having to print and scan alot more pages with my business and man im glad I purchased this Hp Envy Photo 7975 printer its a upgrade from my last making this side of the business so much easier with faster printing speeds, true to screen prints with vibrant colors and premium two sided printing that prints high quality documents it also has a auto document feeder, and also I really enjoy knowing this printer has Instant Ink so when I get low on ink there is no worries HP will automatically ship it out. Delivery was fast and efficient and very nicely packaged. Setup was a breeze just follow the App and instructions. Printer is not heavy at all and seems to be the perfect size for my desk. I enjoy the touchscreen it has with it making it easy to navigate through all the different options.I highly recommend this printer!

Excellent photo printer
The photo quality is quite good. It was very easy to use but the setup was not that easy. HP tries to monopolize too much which can be a problem and hassle. The all in one feature is very useful and overall I am happy with the printer and would recommend it to others. After the instant ink it is going to work out expensive based on usage of ink and the cost versus page print. Bulk printing was not that starlight forward and was making things slow.

Good mid-level Printer
Perhaps I'm just old fashioned but what ever happened to fax capabilities on a printer? If you're like me, some businesses prefer a fax, rather than an email. I own a small business and really wanted to love this printer. Besides the no fax feature, this is a pretty decent printer. Printing photos was a tad below average. I've yet to find a all in one printer that prints professional quality photos.
Moving on to the setup. Simple, quick and easy. The app walks you through everything and for the first time, the instructions are well thought out. The print by page feature is hands down one of the best ideas that I've seen in the copy field in some time. For example, what you pay monthly is way less than buying ink cartridges. A high yield (XL) cartridge will cost roughly 65 bucks and prints around 700 pages. The monthly business tier is around 32 bucks and you get both ink cartridges (black and multi). That in itself is a game changer. The printer speed is average at best. Color printing is slower than my previous HP printer.

Great Quality Printer
I’m extremely happy with this printer! The first thing I noticed when I unpacked it was how sturdy it felt. It’s not heavy—just well built. This is not the usual flimsy printer that’s so common these days.
Setup was a breeze. The hardest part was remembering my HP password! I installed the two ink cartridges and paper, and the printer handled the drivers and updates automatically. It was ready to print in less than six minutes.
The HP app is very easy to navigate, making printing and scanning effortless. I love that I can print directly from the printer’s touchscreen or from my mobile device. Mobile printing is a dream—I don’t have to convert documents, photos, or notes into PDFs; I can just print everything instantly!
This printer earns 5 stars for being easy to use, producing high-quality prints, and printing multiple pages lightning fast!

Portable and Amazing quality prints
I received the HP Envy Photo 7975 All-in-One Printer a few days ago - it was very securely boxed and packaged - blue tape held all of the parts that may come loose together - now I can copy, print, scan documents and photos. I also found that it was easy to unbox and set up with clear instructions - it even has instructions for changing the ink cartridges inside the printer! It is perfect for my home office that I have set up at my RV for out-of-town jobs - I can load up to 125 blank sheets of letter, executive, label, and legal size paper, 5 envelopes, and 40 cards to be printed and the document tray holds 35 documents for scanning or copying. WxDxH is approximately 18"x15"x9" and the printer only weighs about 18 pounds which makes this a very portable printer! I set the printer up with my laptop using the HP App - there are other options available including Apple Air Print and Chrome OS, Mopria Print Service and HP Print service plug in - or so it says in the specs - I am not very tech savy - just enough to get set up and print. I am not familiar with the latter of the applications but will become more so as I get to know my printer better. So far I am loving how well it functions and the print quality and speed!

Prints well and fast enough
I like this printer because the setup was easy and the HP app works smoothly. Just plug in the printer, a QR code shows up on the printer touchscreen to install the app, once that is installed the app will walk you through installing the ink cartridges and connecting to wifi. If you do not already have a HP account, you'll need to create one.
Additional features I appreciate are the double sided printing, photo editing functionality. I printed one color picture on a regular A4 paper, and it came out surprising well. I am looking forward to many more pictures in the future.
The printer looks classy, compact and is lightweight. Very easy to move around. Touchscreen is easy to navigate.
For everyday printing, this printer definitely checks all the boxes.

Crisp, Startling Color!
First, the machine comes beautifully protected in the shipping box, which I greatly appreciated. Arrived in pristine condition.
Next, we set it up... it was very easy to do! Got it linked to our WIFI and printed off a couple of photos. Vivid, beautiful, life-like color! And it only takes seconds from hitting "print" to having a perfect print job done. We're very happy with the HP Envy 7975.

Great for anything you need to print!
This printer was incredibly easy to set up! I had it out of the box, setup and printing in less than 10 minutes! As a photographer, I loaded some photo paper up and was printing my images from both my computer and phone in minutes. The colors are vibrant and the prints are sharp. It is also great for everyday documents, which come out clean and professional. Overall it's been great and I'm loving it!

Nice printer
I've had an HP printer in the past so I wanted to go back to one. The 7975 Envy Photo was a good choice for me. It was easy to setup which is always a plus. I then started on my first print. It has good speed and there is even a quiet setting but this also makes it printer more slowly. A good option if you dont want the normal noise that most printers make. Its also very attractive and not too big and bulky. I even tried the photo print and the photo came out very clear. Overall I am very satisfied with this printer as I thought I probably would be. Highly recommended if you desire a good quality printer at a price that doesnt break the bank.

Very impressed with the quality
I’ve been using this printer for a little while now, and I’m honestly really impressed with the quality for this price point. I love that it has both a regular paper tray and a separate photo tray, so I can keep everything loaded at the same time without switching paper back and forth. It also supports a variety of photo paper sizes.
One of my favorite features is the double-sided printing (even from the photo tray, which I have yet to try but am very excited for.) The scanner is clear, and the shortcut option that allows me to instantly email scanned files has already been very handy. The app is straightforward, and I haven’t had any trouble sending print jobs from my phone at all.
I’m attaching a picture of a brightly colored printed page and two printed photos (cropped in for privacy) so you can see the print quality. So far, I’m really happy with this printer, and I’d definitely recommend it for families, home offices, or anyone who wants an all-in-one that handles photos well without being complicated to use.

Amazing printing from anywhere
I have to be honest, thinking about printers is not what I want to do with my time. I want to be able to hit the print button be it from my phone, tablet or laptop and have the document printed and be available with as little delay as possible. Well the HP Envy Photo 7975 has allowed me to do just that. I can get a text with a document I need to sign for work and hit print, grab it off the printer and sign it, scan it back in and text it back all without much thought. If my daughter sends me a photo of the grandkids, I just hit print from my phone and I have a very good looking photo ready to place in one of my photo frames. The printer was easy to setup using the app on my phone, and has been just as easy to use. Its fast, high quality printing has made my printing requirements pretty much hassle free. And the subscription to instant ink has made it even that much better, no more worrying about running out of ink! I highly recommend the HP Envy Photo 7975 if you’re looking for a quality easy to maintain printer and scanner.

Great 3 in 1 printer, especially for photos
My first time owning one and using. It’s not too big which is a plus. Pretty easy to download the app and use it. Prints out quality photos and text documents. Printed from my phone and it produced a vibrant and sharp photo. So far so good. I’m excited to test it out more. Would recommend this product.

Easy Setup and Quick Printing
This printer was so easy to setup. It was ready to go within minutes. The overall look is very appealing and sleek. The printing function is smooth, quiet, and quick and the touchscreen is easy to navigate. This HP Envy Photo 7975 printer is exactly what I needed for my home office. I like that it easily attaches to wifi and I can print from any of my devices in my home. The print quality is exceptional and I like that I can load both regular and photo paper. If I want to print a picture, the photo paper is already inside and ready to go.

Love the Photo Feature!
I just received my Hp Envy Photo 7975 and couldn't be more impressed. Once I opened the box, it took less than 10 minutes to set up. I used the quick start guide, and my hp app took it from there. It made a high quality print, but my favorite feature is the photo printing. Not only does this printer hold my regular printer paper, but I can keep my photo paper loaded as well, so when I want to print a picture I don't have to siwitch out the paper. What a convenient feature! I've printed two pictures so far, and both came out really Nice. Since I signed up for the instant ink feature, I don't have to worry about how much ink I am using on these photos either. It was important to me also that the scanner have an automatic feeder, which it does. I highly recommend.

Simply AMAZING
My 7975 HP Envy Photo printer is simply AMAZING…
The setup was very easy, and the printing is awesome. We can print from home, and phone and get this it comes with 90 days of free ink which makes this printer even more worth the price. Like I said it connected to my home Wi-Fi with ease. The printing is fast with very little wait time for your print project to be done. The color prints are clear, super bright with amazing sharpness per copy… and yes the there is no long wait time for the color prints to finish printing, this printer is absolutely perfect for everyday home use. Print, Scan, and copy features are very impressive, if you like HP printers you know the features like auto duplex print, color prints, photo image quality has and is top notch, compared to any of the so call competition. The printer is light weight and can be easily moved from one location to another. I will say this if you need a dependable light weight printer with a lot of great features including a stylish display touchscreen, easy setup, fast and easy printing that have amazing color, sharpness with no lacks time per printing sheet and print projects this HP Envy Photo 7975 printer is for you. This printer is definitely worth the price and I highly recommend it for your printing projects.

Finally good photos!
I’m so happy with my choice of printer - the HP Envy Photo 7975. Many printers just can’t do justice to photos. This printer blows those away. The fact that it’s all-in-one with a top feeder AND prints photos well is a dream. The touch screen is easy to use, as is the app. Connecting to it was very easy. The paper drawer has 2 compartments. One is your typical printer paper compartment, then there’s a separate compartment for different sizes of photo paper. We’ve been using 4x6 photo paper from HP. The pictures look so good! I’m excited to print other sizes. I just bought some HP photo paper in various sizes and finishes. I can’t wait! I don’t know how it does it but the pics are good to go the minute they come out of the printer. How do they dry that quickly?! (I wish my hair would do that.) Oh! It’s also fairly quiet. The standard mode is not really loud and prints a bit quicker. The quiet mode causes slower printing, but is quieter while it does so. I highly recommend this printer. Just get it. You know your phone has photos you really want framed. Why not now?

Great printer for photos
The value of this printer and the price I actually paid, really go hand-in-hand at one of the best deals I could’ve asked for in forever. Will the capabilities of wanting everyday document printing and photo printing capabilities, being budget-friendly and an all-in-one, the possibilities are endless with this new toy I get to play with. Having wireless connectivity, a dedicated photo tray, automatic two-sided printing, and mobile printing support are just a few of the product perks I get to enjoy. There may be some quirks that are, of course, gonna be in the way sometimes, but we can always nip them in the bud without having too many hiccups. App setup issues along with the initial cartridge errors, the cost of ink, and paper capacity tend to cause the most criticized of quirks. But the versatility and reliability of this said printer are what makes the whole process worth it!

Great Printer
This HP Envy Photo printer has been a great addition to our home. Setup was extremely easy, and it connected to our Wi-Fi and all of our devices without any issues. It prints fast and quiet, and the ink subscription is a huge plus because I can have ink sent automatically and never have to remember to buy it.
I also own another printer, and it was always a struggle to get it connected to the internet, and it frequently disconnected from our devices. It prints well enough, but the HP delivers noticeably better print quality. I am excited to finally print out some of the photos that have been sitting on my phone. Overall, this is a great printer that I highly recommend.

I use my printer for personal use, in-home only with notechnical support. other than myself. I would appreciate if there was a person that I could call on the phone when I have technical difficulties. There seems to be no telephone number that I can find in order obtain assistance via telephone when online instructions are not clear. On-line chat also has its limitations. Paper jams are difficult to clear. I had one major jam and finally I was able to clear the page after an hour of frustrating work tearing the sheet out bit by bit. I have had my HP Envy Photo 7975 printer for three months now and still figuring out how to do 2/2 sided copying. I thought it was an option for this printer when I purchased it but perhaps I misunderstood. Overall I am somewhat disappointed with my HP printer. I previously had a Canon printer for close to 10 years before it bit the dust. It lasted very well and owed me nothing. I am now wishing I had stuck with the Canon brand.

I like the printer and ink except for one thing. Too frequently the printer only prints a partial page instead of entire page (or pages) of what I indicate, and it sometimes requires several attempts to get it to print the entire page. Great waste of ink, paper and time!
