Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolute trash (literally)... do not recommend. I ended up just tossing it in the trash after 2 weeks (not joking). The Application for this is terrible, it almost never connects to my PC and when it does its a huge hassle to get it to. Tried the direct connect.. that just waste of paper to give you the direct connect code then doesn't do anything. On top of that... it would randomly go into a Serious Error and all lights would flash. It's near impossible to get things to print out of the HP app (like directly from web browser) if you do manage to get it to connect. Connecting to our phone didn't ever work... just complete waste of money.... DO NOT RECOMMEND. I bought a cannon printer after and it worked instantly and have had no issues with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Totally Unreliable I spent about 90 minutes on the phone with customer support trying to connect it to our Wi-Fi, even when router was right next to it. Finally connected, but problem persists - no connection, no matter what I do, and then sometimes it suddenly connects all by itself. Sometimes not. FYI, I’ve read the manual, spoken at length to Support, use the HP app and am a former programmer. Also, the Power button won’t go off - just blinks on and off until I unplug the machine. What a waste of money!

The booklet gave step-by-step instructions and everything worked the way it was supposed to work. I’m extremely pleased with my new HP printer. Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works...when it wants to I had it less than a week and had to delete it from my computer 4 or 5 times and reinstall it just to get 1 important document printed. It took 2 days to get it to print again. The app doesnt help explain anything. Deleted the printer from the app too, and there is no way to reinstall it there. So now I just dont exist apparently. But when the printer does decide to work, it works well.

I am still dealing with a pop up every time I start my machine. it tells me there is a conflict between windows word and PDF. I do not know still trying to kill it

However, since switching to this printer, I have been amazed by its quality and affordability. Yesterday, I printed a few photos on regular paper, and the colors were so beautiful that I was able to frame them right away. The photos are of my parents, who live in Germany, and being able to print them out at that moment meant the world to me. Having physical photos in a frame to see every day brings a great sense of comfort and joy that digital photos on a phone simply cannot match. I’ve always bought HP and this is brand new and it’s I like the size of this printer and the fact that it is faster than my old HP printer and it’s more quiet. I also like the additional features that it has. It fits right on my desk and I have lots of space to still work with my computer beside it.

Its compact size is perfect for my small office closet, and I appreciate the Bluetooth connectivity and built-in fax capability. However, there are a couple of significant downsides. It doesn't support automatic double-sided printing, which is disappointing. Also, the HP app on my Mac won't work no matter how many times I've restarted or reinstalled it. I can only print through the app on my phone. I had hoped to use the app on my laptop to make faxing easier, but instead I have to go through extra steps to send faxes from my phone.

(888-369-2789) Thinking it was HP was told it would cost $199.00 to set up. When I finally hung up called HP (different number to find out HP is not open on Weekends. No, did not consent to paying. They did disable McAfee! Called McAfee got it put back on. Thru a hassle got everything checked , on 08/10/2026 was finally able to activate printer.

HP seems to think that an app on your phone is the appropriate way to install software on a computer for this printer. The install app is so poor I almost returned the printer. There should always be an obvious .exe file that is clearly identified on the website and easy to understand what it is and how to download it. And it should execute locally and not online. After several hours I was able to get the printer installed, but it should not be this hard. There should also be a solid HP utility that will completely removes everything from a failed install. I would not buy this printer again because of the poor quality software.....

Finally got the right cable to connect to a computer after much searching for help and a few trips to Best Buy. Wifi works sometimes for air print. Other times not and requires much trial and error. Since I only use the printer for home printing I dont need to spend a lot of money. I saw this one and decided to get it. Setting it up was a little difficult because the instructions are not as clear as the should be especially where the paper adjustment is located. The printer will not work unless you adjust this. I had to go to You Tube to locate it. The process took longer than I expected. Once that was done the printer works great.

My little cheap printer was super easy to setup and this one was a little more complicated making me print through the HP app instead of directly from my phone. The printing is faster than my old one, which I appreciate. I also had an issue where every time I completed a print job all of the lights started blinking so I would have to physically unplug it and then plug it back in to begin my next print job. Overall, it was initially a little annoying but not enough for me to return it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Home school I got this to make submitting assignments easier since it is wireless, but unfortunately you can't scan from a school ipad because the hp app can't be downloaded. I know that really isn't the fault of the device, but it still makes things more challenging. Also, unless I am wrong, you can't scan from the document feeder, so scanning one page at a time takes forever. It does work for printing wirelessly which is nice.

The HP app on my desktop took a while to setup but as a network printer it worked right away. I haven't used any of the AI features yet. It's a nice medium size for a home printer and it's quiet and pretty fast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null Printer goes offline quie alot. Must unplug from the back to reset. I dont like that the printer doesnt have a paper feeder tray at the bottom. You have to place the paper at the top. I liked my HP 4650 alot more but unfortunately, its not available anymore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Frustrated I was replacing a 15 year old printer wanted to go with same brand due to reliability. I am in my 60s still working FT. Bought the new printer set it up Following instructions then a couple weeks later discovered that the printing process is some subscription that only allows me to print if subscribed otherwise I cannot print. I only print maybe 10 copies a month but am going to be out on a leave of absence spay need to do a rew more. The cost for a subscription each month for the minimal copies I need is not cost effective. The fact That the company has control over my printer ability is crazy. I also could not get it to work from my phone only my laptop. I am very frustrated and disappointed frustrated

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not impressed at all. The set up has been time consuming. Trying to get the dang thing to print. Then when I finally get it to print my black ink is running out in less than a month from buynig it and I was not able to print some important documents. I have been a lifelong Canon printer customer and decided to give HP a try. I am very disappointed in this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sure beats the brother with the built in death date I had...... So much quieter too plus the quality of the print is so much crisper and clearer. I'm not sure I like the paper feed, but that's probably on me. The ink cartridges seem to be a little small but that's probably part of the learning curve too. This is absolutely stellar compared to the brother piece of junk I had. Good riddance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great printer! The printer was easy to set up once I installed new cartridges. The set up ink cartridges did not work. The registration process is very easy as well. The printer works great. I can print from my phone, computer, or via the HP app.
