Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty Good Printer This printer is a pretty good printer. The quantity of prints from a single bottle is amazing. The quality of the print is also exceptional. The largest downside is a problem I have with most printers. It can be finicky to set up and more so to get to work consistently. It seems like it loses connection or randomly restarts. It is not so big a problem that it dramatically impacts anything, but it is annoying when it happens. Overall, a very solid printer.

The print quality is excellent, and I really like the refillable ink tank system because it lasts a long time and is much more convenient than constantly buying cartridges. Printing is fast, the colors look sharp, and having printing, scanning, and copying all in one machine makes it great for everyday home use. I also really like the design and color of the printer. It looks very nice and matches well with my home decor. Another thing I appreciate is the size. It has plenty of features without being overly big or bulky, so it fits nicely in my space without taking up too much room. The HP app is also very convenient. It makes it easy to print and scan directly from my phone, check the printer and ink levels, and manage different settings without having to use a computer. The wireless connection makes everything even easier. Overall, the HP Smart Tank 7603 is attractive, a great size, easy to use, economical on ink, and has all the features I need. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and good looking all in one printer for their home or small office.

Wireless printing and scanning capabilities and seamless setup through the HP app. Easy to set up and use and supports Air Print as well. Highly recommend this for those heavy printing people!

I normally always had to go up to the library to print things so having a printer in my home has been a good great experience as well as the different things you can make as long as you use different types of paper and everything you can actually print real photos on it that print really well as they’re coming out during my experience I would definitely recommend this printer overall it is a great asset to have as well as the ability to print labels and different things for shipping. I would definitely recommend this printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Printer to have I have been using this printer for more than a month, and so far, I’ve had no issues. Everything works great, including printing, scanning, and copying. I can honestly say this is one of the quietest printers I’ve ever owned. Usually, you have to put a printer in night mode or sleep mode to make it quieter, but this one is already very quiet. They’ve also implemented AI into this machine, which really helps with saving resources and making the printer more efficient overall.

Setting it up was quick and easy, and I had it connected to Wi-Fi and printing in no time. I print a ton of worksheets and other classroom stuff, so I really like not having to constantly worry about running out of ink. The print quality is good, and the colors look great. I was also a little worried that filling the ink would be messy, but it was actually really simple and clean. It’s been a great printer for my classroom and has made printing one less thing I have to worry about. I would definitely recommend it to other teachers.

Setting it up was simple, and it has been easy to use for printing, copying, and scanning. One of my favorite features is the ink tank system. It holds a good amount of ink, and I like not having to worry about replacing cartridges all the time. The printer also looks great in the house. The color and overall design are modern and blend in nicely with our home. I was also pleasantly surprised by the size. For an all in one printer with so many features, it doesn’t feel oversized or bulky and fits comfortably in the space we have for it. The HP app has also been very useful. I can print or scan from my phone, check the printer status, and handle different functions without always having to go to the computer. The wireless printing is especially convenient. So far, the print quality has been clear and consistent, and the printer has been very practical for everyday use. I would recommend the HP Smart Tank 7603 to anyone who wants a good looking, space friendly printer with convenient features and an ink system that is easy to maintain.

As with most printers, the set up display is small and as an older user with big hands it was a little cumbersome trying to make adjustments for paper size and print quality etc.

I also like the blue light so you can see copying in the dark if you want. It’s the greatest printer I ever owned. Hope it last for ever. Have been using it for about 6 min this.

I no longer hesitate to print in color because the consumption of ink is quite low. Our household doesn’t print large jobs, yet we were frequently replacing cartridges. Those days are over.

It performs all tasks well but two major issues remain. First the fact that the bright blue light remains on 24-7-365 is wasting energy and causes missed faxes while rendering print from anywhere software unattainable . I placed my printer in our second bedroom. I have left all of my previous HP printers on, 24-7-365, shutting down once a week for a few minutes to allow rebooting and available updates. Now when family or a guest stay over I must turn the printer off as it lights up the entire room making sleep ?? impossible. The light is on brightly even when the printer enters sleep mode. There are no software/app adjustments that allow for dimming or turning off. Every previous HP printer I have ever owned went dark when in sleep mode. I’m in my 70’s so that’s quite a few HP printers. I’ve reached out to HP who states that’s “normal”. My 7602 has been replaced by the 7603 so chances of addressing this, if it’s even possible, in a future update seem “dim” ??. I wonder if the 7603 is the same??? Second issue, for a printer at this price, on sale for $350, there’s no duplex scanning feature one feature I have cherished on multiple HP printers for decades. If you have a 7603 please post about the light…….thanks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Printer and No More Expensive Cartridges I have had this printer for a few months and am pleased with the quality and clarity of the colors when I print reports. The colors are more bold than the competitors model. It replaced an HP Desktop 8600 series that I've had for several years and still works but I was tired of purchasing the cartridges. I started a new responsibility and didn't want to wait for the old printer to fail so I use the old desktop as a backup. I have used it to scan documents and that has worked fine but requires HP software to scan the document. The memory buffer is limited so when I print multiple copies of a report, I need to wait to queue up the next job until the first one is almost completed printing. Aside from that, I love this printer!

We like the ink setup where you don't feel like you have to be changing out a cartridge every week or two. Our main disappointment is that we thought we were getting a laser printer and the expense of the machine did not pay off as we thought.

We try disconecting it, wait two minutes and try again, it works, but it can happen three times in a day.

This robotic operating system is not an improvement in my life. The jury is out on how long the ink wells will last compared to ink catridges I used in my Office Jet Pro printers that I have owned. It is a mixed bag how I feel about this new printer. I say average at best and annoying at worst.

I was worried the ink would be hard to fill in the reservoirs but it was easy and no leaks! I was confused by the two ink cartridges but the. Realized they were empty and are filled by the liquid ink reservoirs. I was super impressed by the light! Makes it easy to see in the dark office!

My house‘s network is not that special, yet Epson and brother printers were inconsistent and intermittently connecting. The HP Wi-Fi was perfect. This printer almost never jams. Is economical with Inc., is quiet, and fast. It’s just a fantastic product.

Being able to scan from my cell then email documents at anytime has made life easier for me. With owning my own childcare business and having to send documents, sometimes on a whim, to several different entities is a breeze. I used to be very intimidated with using office equipment, but now I look forward to it with knowing how easy it’s going to be. The second thing that I love is the ink will last at least 3 years. I have another printer and I was Constantly purchasing ink cartridges until I got tired of doing so and I just opted to go to the library instead.

It can be confusing to scan rather than print from the computer screen and the time to get the copier to make a copy is longer than expected. However, I like the size for a home office and would buy another if needed. Leaning toward being happy with the printer overall.

Was using the ink service from HP even though we did not come close to using our pages allowed per month.Bought the 7602 because of the features and most importantly, the size of the smart tanks. Ink will last a long time .Very good product !

Often times I get a printer error when printing then it goes away - I’ve done the needed diagnostics and can’t find anything wrong. Using the features is a big learning curve but it’s doable

However I dislike the fact that the printer and computer need to be on the same WiFi network My network is the same one with different names. It should stay connected. It is so frustrating

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The second one worked Initial printer failed to print correctly, many lines across photos, half of page missing, skipped printed lines. HP staff did troubleshooting and finally sent me another printer. It has been great! Easy to set up, prints well. Thank goodness the HP staff recognized the first printer was a problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pros and Cons At 85 years of age it was not an easy set up using windows 7. I’m still working on it. I previously used an HP 8600. #1 complaint. It states it prints double sided but they don’t tell you NOT from the automatic document feeder. Same problem if you want to scan something. And I need both. #2 the small window to select what you want to do. The menu screen was much larger to see and use with my other printer. Any one with vision problems will be challenged to read it. It does print quickly and double sided from your computer.

Occasionally, and for no reason we can ascertain, it will print only the top 75% of the sheet. Or it will cut off the right side of the bottom. Also, we cannot seem to get it to scan directly from machine to email. We’ve tried to change settings online to no avail. We end up needing to use the HP Easy Scan app which isn’t easy bc I have to go to the printer to lay the document down, then walk back to my computer to press scan, then save the scan to my computer so o can then attach to an email. Then I have to go back to the printer to retrieve the document. I want to be able to scan AT the printer directly TO a saved email address. If someone can fix whatever this issue is that forces me to use that app (same with my home HP printer), great. Lots of bugs with the HP website/app

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Ok This printer is ok, not astounding. Print speed is decent and it’s nice to save money on ink. But it has lost connection with the WiFi several times. And for some reason I have needed to turn off and disconnect several times for a re-start, and very difficult to read the control board. Tough to change from volt to b&w. It’ll be replaced in the next couple of years without a doubt.

I had another model previously, which I hated because it didn’t have the ability to print double sided without flipping and entire stack backward and reload in the paper slot. I love that this model handles duplex printing without even breaking a sweat. It has a pleasant light to welcome you to your printing experience, and it is smooth and quieter than my previous printer. I love it!

I also love the light on the printer it is easy to see it in the dark It was super easy to set up with easy to follow instructions. It prints very well and works easily with the HP app

This isn't your old cartridge-based inkjet where a color runs out in weeks and buying a replacement requires a credit check. The ink comes in affordable bottles that you squeeze into CMYK tanks. Service is easy, clean and quick. The scanner works equally well. This is how printers were meant to function. NOTE: This multifunction printer was tested with both Windows 11 and (Fedora 44) Linux.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Setup, Great App, and Effortless Ink Refills Setting up the HP Smart Tank 7603 All-In-One Printer right out of the box was remarkably simple. Refillable ink printers can sometimes feel daunting, but filling this printer with the provided ink bottles was super easy and completely mess-free. Working from home means I print frequently, so I am very excited to see just how long this ink supply lasts over time. Managing print and scan jobs through the mobile app is seamless and intuitive—HP did a fantastic job with the user interface there. My only small suggestion for improvement would be for HP to include clearer step-by-step instructions for setting up the print-to-email feature. I had to Google around a bit to get it configured properly with my Gmail account. That minor setup detail aside, this multifunction printer is working perfectly for my home office setup. Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much better than swapping ink cartridges The biggest reason I got this HP Smart Tank 7603 All-in-One Printer because I got tired of swapping out ink cartridges in my previous printer. My other printer was also a "home" based printer and not a SMB type printer. I would have to say that this is just as good as the other HP printer I have with the exception that the ink tanks are amazing. For me, I always go with all in one printers since I'm always having to scan documents so having that ability on this printer is perfect and the fact it does duplex printer is "icing on the cake". This printer has already replaced my other hp printer and that one was still new. As soon as I saw the smart tank option, I knew I had to have it and I'm glad I got it. The print quality is exactly to my needs and the speeds meet my expectations from what I would expect from a home printer. This printer does work with the HP app which makes it even easier to get prints from my phone directly to the printer, which is another nice bonus to the HP printer features. So far I have printed a few documents out and have been impressed with the speed and quality of them all. I have no regrets with this HP printer and I'm sure you will have no regrets too! :)

The scanning function is great with the adf makes multi page scanning easy, the print quality is excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hp Smart Tank 7603 Printer I wasn't sure how well this smart tank was going to replace my Officejet 8130 due to the versatility of the old machine but I knew I was getting tired of having to shell out for the instant ink that I was using, so the idea of up to three years of ink coming with this printer had me interested. So let me tell you, if you are on the fence about this printer, don't be, it is an excellent printer, print sped is fast, photos look good on photo paper and the lack of a screen isn't really a disadvantage like I thought it would be, plus the replacement ink is fairly cheap. You really can't go wrong with this printer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing and quiet printer I have owned many printers over the years, but I can honestly say this one is the quietest I’ve ever had. It’s fast, easy to use, and the setup only took about 5–10 minutes. I really enjoy printing with this printer. One feature I especially like is that when it’s time to add more ink, LED lights illuminate behind the ink tanks, making it much easier to see the ink levels. The only thing I think HP could improve on this model is the scanning speed. It could definitely be a little faster, but everything else has been great. Overall, I love this printer and I’m very happy with it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can never go wrong with a HP printer I have had many different printers over the years, always end up back with a good HP. The smart tank idea is really the perfect way to use an ink jet printer, the most efficient way to use your ink. This All in One is built in a compact shell but has great output along with exceptional scanning capabilities. Setup was very easy but a bit longer than usual. You will need to pour the ink into each section, has an excellent loading system. Then install the print heads. At first I was concerned about not having a 2-3 inch screen for using this printer, instead it has a small hardly noticeable touch panel the is actually very easy to use. The print quality is very good, scanning very intuitive. You will need the HP app to makes setup very easy. I will never go back to ink cartridges again. Say what you will about ink jets but just can't beat a HP.

Refill in bulk quantity also was straightforward and definitely makes life easier. Print outputs were clean without smudging and bleed. Easy repurchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HP Smart Tank 7603 - A Solid printer I've had and tried a lot of different printers over the years, but I decided I wanted to get a Smart Tank printer so I wouldn't have a lot of cartridges to buy or get an ink plan. The thought of having reservoirs that I filled up and that would last a long time appealed to me. Setting up the printer was a bit complicated. I couldn't figure out how to get the ink into the reservoirs. Luckily I found a video which showed me that it has to click before the ink will be released from the container and I wasn't pushing it down hard enough. The rest of the setup was fairly easy. Most of the settings are handled in the app and online. The display on the printer is really small and doesn't show much. I wish it was bigger. As for functionality, the printer is pretty quiet and fast. It does a good job on print outs. I tried scanning but haven't figured out how to scan double-sided pages. It's not really straight forward. I'll have to look that up. Overall it's a solid printer and does a good job for its main tasks.

Things i loved about it Refillable ink, just empty the bottle and it would be good. With a family with elementary school kid, we definitely go through our printer paper and inks, So not to worry about the cartridges. Hp app is pretty awesome at it, it let me select the printer paper and voila it was a great quality picture.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HP Smart Tank Printer Rocky setup, great printer once it's running I'll be upfront: getting this connected to my Wi-Fi and talking to my computer gave me some trouble. Setup took me around 40 minutes, and for a printer I'd expect that to be closer to 10 or 15. I ended up digging around online for troubleshooting steps, and once I found them, it went fine. Since then, no complaints at all. It prints beautifully and hasn't given me a single problem. I've run a few different test items through it and everything has come out clear and sharp. It's also a decent looking printer, which I wasn't expecting to care about but do. And I love that I can print from my phone as well as my computer. If you're willing to push through the setup, this is absolutely worth the buy.
