Only made a few copies and printer was saying, "low on ink." Had two or three in a row which required changing after only a few photo prints. the, the next one I replaced did 25 photo prints without a snafu. Back to the bad ones, I had to run diagnostic checks and cleaning three or four times and still got vertical lines in my color prints. all cartridges I've purchased in the last year have been thru the online store. Is it my printer, an HD Photosmart D110 series printer, the cartridges, or . . . . me?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does not work properly in the HP Printer When I try to use your 60C ink cartridge I get a message, "At Least one of the cartridges has a problem." I end up turning my printer off and then back on before it will work. That happens at least 8 ties a day. Quite frustrating.

Am fairly tech savvy but have had to have a tech friend over 5 times to get it to print. It still won't print random things attached to emails that are crucial , like boarding passes, or work related items.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from disappointed I have an HP F4280 3-in-one printer, which is OK though difficult to extract paper jams. My beef is with the ink cartridges, especially the black. I'm a college student and a writer. With the amount of writing required, I find the black #60 ink cartridges to be woefully inadequate, even the XL, and to be outrageously expensive for the value received. I rarely use color, however, especially when transcribing lecture notes, I often have to use the color to eke out the life of the cartridge. I can't, in good faith, recommend this product, but HP offers no alternatives.

What is HP thinking??? I was only able to print 10 8x10 photos when the color ink cartridge expired. We'll have to replace the printer as I am a photographer, and unfortunately you have permanently lost a good customer.

It had one picture approximately 3x5 on the 8-1/2 x 11 sheet. The rest of the flyer was in black ink only. The black ink kept on going for many more pages.

It is definitely cheaper & far less of a headache to have photos printed at your local drugstore & color copies made at a Kinkos. Frustrating :-( All I had was 10 black copies (of text only) to make today & had to stop mid-project...

I will order the XL next time which are too expensive and hope that they will last long enough to warrant paying the extra price. They advertise each should provide around 200 copies but when we've kept track it is much less (around 135). Maybe that explains why they've started selling a "high yield" cartridge product.

Cannot print as many pages, even on low setting, that the old HP printer ink cartridge would print. The printer is somewhat okay but the amount of ink in the cartridge is not acceptable, less th an old HP printer that had to be replaced.

Computers could not keep up with changing programs but the printer is still working and can be applied to newer operating systems. The problem with Deskjet F4280 and HP 60 Tri-color and black and white cartridges is the cost. Printer cartridges are outrageously expensive for the amount of printing that can be utilized. Cost of these items should be half what HP is charging.

We bought a printer specifically to make color photos believing it would not be more expensive than going to a store to get prints. The color has only printed 32 pictures and now the printer says," low on ink" again!! With the cost of ink - this is too expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from grossly overstated ink usage New F4580 printer. Printer features are as expected from HP but ink usage is shocking. Even printing in draft mode it uses ink, both black and color, at an alarming rate. I get about 50 pages on DRAFT color. I would not recommend this printer, nor any other that uses the C60 cartridge for any purpose. It will be cheaper for me to replace this printer than to continue to feed this one. I think the HP engineers should take a close look at the design of this ink cartridge, since the printer performs quite well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst printer/ink cartridge use ever HP needs to read the reviews - if you did you'd know that 99.9% of your customers are disgusted with HP photosmart D11a because the ink cartridge 60 doesn't even last for 25 pages. The printer is fine it's that it is designed to only accept #60 cartridges and they are TERRIBLE! I'm 100% sorry I purchased this printer because I've spent more than the printer in replacement cartridges in the short time I've had it. You need to respond to your customers blogs and comments and DO something about it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed with ink cartridges I wish I had not bought this printer. The Hp 60 ink cartridges prints far less than the amount of pages as stated in the ads. I bought my 1st HP printer years ago to replace my Lexmark printer because of the high cost of its ink. I have loved my HP printers until now. The D110 series takes the HP 60 cartridges that are cheaper than other brands/numbers but they are 1/2 empty!! In addition, it will not print if one cartridge is empty--since I print pixs, the color cartridge goes first. I now tell my friends to buy Lexmark--the ink may be higher but the cartridges seem to be full. I may trash this HP and buy me another Lexmark unless HP begins to fill the ink cartridge to full capacity and/or state accurately the number of pages to each cartridge!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beware May not work with your printer I bought this and thought since it was a double pack that it would work with my printer that uses 60 black, tricolor 61. They do not work but I thought it was cost effective. Now had to find and purchase a 61. And now have to throw 60 away as full and no one to use it. Called HP to notify them and ask for help. None received. That is another story.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good when it works. Using my printer infreqently causes some unique problems: mainly poor print quality upon first use. Head cleaning takes up so much ink that the cartridges run empty rather quickly. HP assistance insisted it was a printer problem and needed repair, but I found a solution for the clogged heads that definitely saves time and ink. Besides, the printer cost less than the ink cartidges; not worth sending in for a repair that is not needed. I spray some glass cleaner, with amonia, on a paper towel, remove the cartridge from the printer and pass the heads over the damp towel a few times. I reinstall the cartidges and run the cleaning utility one time. This saves the cartridges, and print quality returns. I only wish I had found this out 3 printers ago.

I first want to say, the quality is sufficient, i have printed amazing quality prints from this ink, but quality and quantity is what i need in a printer, and it seems that HP tricolor 60 just doesn't quite cut it in the quantity. I am a college student majoring in architecture, and photography is a major part of their education of design. For a project, i had to print 8 high quality, 8x10, high resolution prints, which came out beautifully. In the following project, i had to print 2 high quality, 4x6, high resolution prints, and the ink barely made it half way through the second print, leaving mostly red hues behind. I had only printed documents (black and white only), and the printer testing sheet before. I am utterly appalled and disappointed at the lack of quality in the efficiency of HP's products. The absurd last resort, biking several miles to a drug store to receive quality prints, is becoming more and more promising, as their prices are far less than $2.00 a print. Along with tuition, books, housing, and the expenses of architecture, i cannot afford to keep buying a cartridge that will run out so quickly. Up the standards in quantity and efficiency, HP, or you will lose yet another loyal customer to another brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely Disappointed Customer I am a photographer that needs to be able to depend on her printer for quality, absolutely first, and quantity, not far behind quality. I cannot believe how very little ink is contained in the cartridges! They are far too expensive to offer so little. I love HP products and purchased a new HP computer just a year ago. My old printer was an HP and I loved it! I thought for sure replacing it with another HP such as HP Photosmart C4650 would be a great idea. NOT!!!!!! If I were in the position to do so I would replace this printer with another in a heart beat. Unfortunately, I am not in that position but I will definately think twice before making another purchase. So sorry this has happened.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Disappointing I replaced my tri-color HP Ink Cartridge. I did not know it was a "previously used" cartridge. I have had nothing but trouble since installing it. My printer stops printing - printing is not clear - I have to turn off my printer and start all over. I have never had this problem before with a new cartridge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not so Hot. My Mother in Law bought this printer for me when I started college. The reason she bought it was I had a dell printer and the ink was very expensive. But with this printer it is no better. The individual cartridges may be cheaper priced but I am going through way more ink. The package says 200 prints but I only get an average of 50-60 papers.

Took advantage of buy 2 get 1 half off and next day free shipping. Highly recommend. I also own a Dell ink jet printer and the print color is more vibrant than Dell's, however I have experienced Dell's ink cartridges drying out and hope HP's won't do that.
