Like it very much
I use it only to carry the computer. I do not use the computer inside the bag so the computer screen does not break as I saw in previous reviews. It is light and stylish.

this broke my screen
I read another review of this product about this case cracking the screen. I chalked it up to a one off review and something I shouldn't concern myself with. However, I kept in mind using this case to make sure I properly align the MacBook and make sure there isn't any innappriate pressure applied as I close and zip it up. After all the delicacy I put into making sure to avoid this very issue. After a few weeks... it happened. I am incredibly disappointed and will be seeing if THULE will either offer me a refund or help cover the cost of a screen repair. which is ultimately the same price as this case.

Not worthy.
I purchased case to protect MacBook and it ended being the reason for the damage. So upset. The case has two small straps so that the case is convenient while using laptop. Maybe they should be elastic but they are not. Some how I closed my mac book on one and it DESTROYED my screen. Now I have a ruined computer that I can't replace. This case should be recalled and modified.

Strap cracked my screen
I put my MacBook Pro in this case and the strap folded over the keyboard catching it between the screen and keys. The screen repair was $728.00. The employee at the Genius Bar saw my Thule Gauntlet case and immediately knew what happened. The only way this product should be sold is with a large bright warning across the product describing how it can crack your screen if you don't close it just so.

I had purchased the 15 inch particular case for my HP laptop I don't have a MacBook and what I gather from this, is that people could be closing the whole laptop bag rather than closing the laptop lid first and then the case afterwards and if I is what people are doing then that's the wrong thing to do you. need to make sure that you're closing the lid first of the laptop and securing that and then the case afterwards I've had mine about a year I've had no problems I've not noticed anything although I've not used it that often to be honest. I live in the UK and there's no reviews on the UK version of the website so I didn't even know about this problem or that there was reviews available to see which is disappointing.

I've had mine 10 years.
I've had my Gauntlet bag for 10 years and love it. I don't use my Mac while it's in the bag, so I've never had the issues some folks in other reviews have had. I use my bag only as a carrier and it's kept my Mac in great shape. In fact, I've had two MBP's since getting this bag.
Furthermore, there's plenty of room for accessories and charging devices. I've had several computer bags over many years and I love this one the most. In fact, my wife just ordered one for herself because she's been admiring mine so long, she couldn't wait any longer. She's a teacher and wanted a new bag for the coming school year.

The strap broke my screen
I’m looking to get a refund from this case that put a internal crack on my Mac book screen. After realizing what happened to my screen I started to remember how important my laptop is for me as a student, and how bad of an idea it was them to put those loss straps on that case.

I BOUGHT THIS THE SAME DAY I BOUGHT MY NEW MACBOOK AIR LAPTOP... IT BROKE MY SCREEN AND I DONT HAVE MONEY TO REPLACE A SCREEN WHEN I JUST SPENT 2000 ON A COMPUTER AND APPLE WONT COVER IT UNDER WARRANTY BECAUSE IT WAN'T THEIR FAULT

Do not buy, it will break your screen.
Terrible case. Broke my screen twice before I realised it was the case that’s doing it. Do not risk your laptop! This is a known design fault and they refuse to take accountability.

Terrible design flaw cracking screens
Our MacBook is stored in the case. We purchased this due to the ruggedness in hopes to keep our MacBook safe from damage.
Unfortunately this case is the very reason our MacBook is damaged. We were never aware of the strap issue with this case. There weren’t any instructions with it when we purchased it from Best Buy either. Now we have a cracked screen on our $2k MacBook Pro. It’s going to cost $400 to get a new screen. Thule needs to do right by this and refund what we paid for the case & the costs of repair.
How do you keep selling a product to the public you know is cracking screens???
Also - it’s very obvious Thule is well aware if this issue based as on all the reviews I’ve read here today. I’m sorry I didn’t see these reviews before purchasing as it would’ve saved us from having to replace what was supposed to be protected by this case.

Cracked my screen. Terrible Case. Any help Thule?
This was an obvious problem for many people, I bought this at Best Buy without reading the reviews. Cracked my screen within weeks.

Perfect for Commuting
Fits my Surface Pro perfectly and is awesome for my daily commute. It keeps my stiff safe and dry and the zippers are extremely beefy. There isn't much room for anything other than a laptop but it's designed that way and was exactly what I was looking for.

Straps broke screen - be warned! Doesn’t fit
This barely even fits a 14 inch MacBook, even though the website and bestbuy states it does.
As a result, any time you close the case, the straps (which seem like a design flaw) close in on the laptop. You have to be so aware of them before closing. The one time I wasn’t, and the straps literally did pixel damage on the right corner of the screen and it won’t turn on.
I now have to pay apple (luckily I have apple care) $99 to fix it.
I want a refund to use toward it. There are so many reviews with this problem occurring. Be warned.

Perfect fit, right amount of space.
I have been using this with a 2022 MBP 13" with a InCase shell around the laptopwith zero issues for a few months now of generally daily use. I have traveled with it and thrown it around a bit and no damage to anything. It holds all my accessories I need and isn't bulky and is easier to carry with my via bike should I need to do that. My only dislike is the pen holders aren't as good for a flash drive but that is not a fault they work as they are supposed to I just have different needs than Thule intended.
In terms of breaking a laptop screen it seems like people don't know how to use a case or a laptop? If you are slamming both closed at the same time maybe but I wouldn't ever do that except in an absolute emergency situation however it is rare I use my case for actually computing. It is a storage and transport device to keep my laptop safe I wouldn't want to use it often from there because I would rather get some better ventilation. I believe as well Thule says not to close both at the same time so you know maybe just listen to the people who make the product and you will be OK. Close laptop then close case, an extra 2 seconds max and it saves your laptop if you are using it directly in the case. On rare occasion those straps do stick out a little and could get caught in a zipper if totally careless but it is a $1200+ laptop an extra second of care is well worth it.
Would recommend to anyone with a MBP 13" looking for a good tidy case and can care for their products with just a second or two of simple basic thinking.

Very disappointing!
I was so excited to get this bag to protect my Macbook. However, this bag caused my screen to crack. The inside straps that keep the top part of the bag sitting somewhat upright (and from flopping completely back) cracked my Macbook screen on the bottom right. Be sure to make sure that the inside straps do not get in the way of the screen at all. It can cause your screen to be damaged. Luckily, my Macbook does have a paid warranty, but I will still be out of pocket $99.00 to repair the damage caused by this case. I also do not leave near an Apple store; therefore, I am driving hours to get this repaired. Very disappointing. If it had been designed a little bit better, this would not have happened :'(

Love It!
I just purchased this attache and love everything about it. Typical Thule quality construction, beautifully crafted and functional. My 13" Mac Book Air fits like a glove. I work primarily from coffee shops with small tables. I love the ability to use the computer while in the case... saves space.

Does not fit MBP 13" 2021-22 model
This case does not fit the new MBPro 13" laptop. It fits a 13" MB air but not the new pro model.
