Rated 5 out of 5 by from Has many great features but no instructions For example it keeps a ton of information on any golf course but I have not yet figured out how to find the distance to a hazard. Also only recently stumbled onto how to change distances from meters to yards. Same for my bike ride there are three screens of information on a ride, but once I saved the ride I could not find screen 2 or three. A very smart watch, but likes to keep secrets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Go to watch for sports! I own a Garmin Venu 3, Fenix 6X Pro and Samsung Galaxy Watch. Ever since buying the Venu 3, I haven't touched my Samsung watch. The battery life is better than all others. My wife has an Apple watch and I just bought her a Venu 3s because the battery on her Apple watch wouldn't last a day. Now her Venu 3S lasts a week or longer. I had a Forerunner 165 but returned it for the Venu 3 because I wanted a larger screen and the ability to use it to talk on my phone via Bluetooth. The Venu 3 display is awesome too. Bottom line - if you're loooking for a smart watch that handles serious activities, go with a Garmin!! The real hard part is picking the right Garmin watch for your specific needs!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for all types of users Having been a long time Fitbit user, I became frustrated with the lack of accuracy of my Versa 3 and the software and lack of support was increasingly frustrating. Having owned an Edge Explore I knew already the great Garmin potential so it took just a few minutes thought to move to the Venu 3 and drop the Fitbit in the bottom drawer. The quality of “free” reporting and the integration across devices and platforms as well as with Komoot is amazing. I committed to a personal fitness change with this purchase and the smartwatch has helped me every step of the way. Thanks Garmin

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it I love the venu3. It's a great little smartwatch/fitness tracker. It gives me motivation throughout the day if I've been sitting down for too long. It's got an onscreen keyboard like old cellphone keyboards. My only complaint is that the speaker while taking calls is very low and almost impossible to hear unless you're in a dead quiet place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great watch just wish I could flip the display I’ve had this watch for a while. Great fitness tracking and overall battery performance. The problem is I wish I could flip the display. I keep accidentally pressing the buttons and if I could flip the display this wouldn’t happen. I also wish you could answer text messages on the watch but sadly there is no way to do that with this watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exemplary, watch! I’ve had this watch for about two weeks and I love it. It does everything I need and quite a bit more. I do have a small problem however, with the size of the wrist strap I have very thick wrist and sometimes it’s uncomfortable, but that’s not enough to knock a star off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Watch I got the Venue 3 as a birthday gift about a month ago and it is amazing. I check the watch and the connect app daily and is such an amazing tool to track my health and fitness. I didn’t know that my sleep was as bad as it is and the sleep coach has been such a huge help!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Tracking Watch Bought a few weeks ago since my FR645M corners broken rendering the watch unwearable. I have to say the screen on this watch is fantastic... Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buggy apps Poor support Purchased online directly from Garmin with sign for delivery request. Watch was delivered within a week by UPS with no signature required. Ring Doorbell cam showed a 45 seconds after small box was left on my front porch an individual crept up in broad daylight and it was stolen. Garmin refused to replace the watch. Lesson learned: order thru Amazon, Costco, Apple, etc as they would have honored the signature request and replaced the stolen watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Fitness Watch! Ive had my Venu 3 watch for about a month now, and I love it. This is my first Garmin product, and after reviewing the extensive array of watches that Garmin produces, I decided on the Venu 3. For the exercise routi es I do, and general lifestyle, it is perfect. Initially, I was looking for a watch with better battery life, and I'm happy to say that I've gotten up to 2 weeks of runtime on a single charge. I also appreciate the many metrics that the app provides, but one of the functions, (jetlag) has come in very handy, as I do international trips weekly. The sleep advisor is also a valuable tool to remind that more sleep is needed. Overall, I'm extremely happy with Garmin, and the Venu 3 smartwatch!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Watch I purchased after seeing my cousin was happy with his. It helps me focus on lots of things regarding my health. The two main ones are steps and. As a shift worker it's an excellent sleep tracker because it will track sleep regardless of the time I go to bed. Also, it will track my naps. I also have sleeping problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great so far What a marked improvement from my Fitbit Versa. So many more features, and more importantly the features work - accurate HR, I can read my HR while lap swimming, runnig, doing weights. All of these were spotty at best with that Versa. Happy with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome and better than the original Venu I had the original Venu and loved it for 3 years. I like the idea of the new heart features and Dick Tracy speakerphone watch. I larger font and improved user interface are worth the extra cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome watch I upgraded to a newer watch last month. I had one of the original Venu. This one has so many extra features. It has a long battery life between 8-9 days with the pulse ox and other features turned on. There are a lot of free screen faces to choose from. Very comfortable and easy to read. I chose the larger face and it still looks good on a female wrist.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heart features I have been wearing my Garmin vue 3 for about 2 weeks now. It has been very insightful on why I am so fatigued at times. I have Ehler Danlos Syndrome and dysautonomia POTS and my pulse will jump 40 beats from laying to standing. My body battery often drops to 5 at the end of the day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice surprises I've only had this watch for a month. It has way more features than I knew I was getting. Even though I will only use a few of them it does what I wanted. I especially like the sleep score..its helping me get much better rest by making me more consious of what I need to do to sleep better And I'm sure I will learn more of the features over time. I also like the improved battery life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect workout partner 4.5 ?? so close to 5 I bought this to replace a perfectly functioning vivoactive 4. One thing about Garmin watches, they last. You’ll replace it just because you want something new, that is why I purchased the Venu 3. It was definitely an upgrade, the new screen is much brighter and the animations and tracking is better. The main reason for the upgrade was I wanted the option to answer calls and possibly voice respond to a text. The calls feature is great and has nice clarity and no delay. The voice response to texts is a disappointment. I am using a Samsung Galaxy Flip 5. I hate bixby so went to Google Assistant. I gave the watch and phone permission to access while locked, but cannot access the messages app without unlocking the phone. This could possibly work with a bixby, Samsung’s assistant, but its voice recognition is so bad, it’s not worth it. If this function worked as planned, this watch is easily 5 stars. For now it’s 4.5 Long story short, buy this watch, you won’t be disappointed and if not this one, any Garmin, you can’t go wrong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incremental upgrade I e had the V3 for a few months now and I’m quite satisfied. There are still plenty of bugs that need to be sorted. Custom Workouts interface needs improving. You can’t edit reps or weight in the watch while doing the actual workout. It just moves forward to the next exercise. Overall I would recommend this watch for the niche group it is designed fo.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An amazing fitness watch This is not my first Garmin watch and not my last; I am enjoying several things from the Venu 3 including the following. The battery life is amazing, I charge it once a week and I get a lot of notifications from texts, WhatsApp, home alarm and more. I like how easy it is to setup not only the Venu 3 but also the application for the phone as well as my computer and both of them offer a lot of information of my activities. The watch is always monitoring my health, how well I sleep, if I have to keep moving, or if I need to rest by giving me my body battery information. In the morning it gives me a morning report, including how well I slept, what the weather is going to be like for the day and more. I have taken the watch swimming, running, hiking, yoga, meditation, cycle, exercising and it does great on keeping track. I can pay using Garmin pay without my phone so I like that as well. I can also leave my phone at home when I am doing any of the activities. The watch has a lot of types of activities that it tracks and it also has training programs to follow. The Venu 3 is also compatible with both Android and Apple phones. Overall it is an amazing fitness watch, customizable and well made. I am enjoying it. I would like the charging to be on the side instead of the back but since I charge it once a week, it is not a big deal. I would like a bigger version too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Refreshing and more Fun to Use! I am glad that I ended up with this watch! I had read another review on it before it arrived and it had me concerned but once I had a chance to give it a try out myself I was pleasantly surprised to see what it would have available! I find that it is better at noticing and noting my steps and movments and it seems to be more accurate on my step counts during my workouts too. I really appreciate knowing that it will give me info that I can use to assist me on my way to being healthy! And I am so appreciative of how it was built too so that the part that is in contact with my skin has less of an area that catches the yuck that makes it easier to wash away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still learning, great so far Frankly, I wanted a Samsung, but the battery life was an issue. 1 or 2 days just wouldn't work. And now I know I made the right choice. I'm still learning the features and how to use the 2 apps for it. The address book is a little clunky, but functional. My old Samsung just used the phone's list while the Garmin needs to import up to 50. I've added a data watch face that has about 10 different fields and colors galour. Love that. It's a pricey watch, but it does everything I've wanted so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I just love it ! Yeah I will say I love garmin products a lot but this watch is amazing responding easy to navigate I like brightness of the screen features also battery just last forever . Just one little thing I had problems with a fénix watch couple months ago with cable for charge for some reason the dots on this watch just peel off and then it was no way to charge the watch the Venu3 also has the type of dots hopefully that same issue won’t happens with this one in a near future

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great watch but..... In general...very pleased with the watch. Two reasons for not giving 5 stars: 1. Unable to see photos directly from watch..tried every setting with no result. 2. ECG app not available in my country (should use a disclaimer and let app work everywhere)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it ! I love Venu 3, it is pack with great features and very light weight, very suitable for daily wear. The skin temperature change seems to reflect my daily wellness . I wish the training readiness is also added later on. For now, I have to wear my Tactix 7 one day per week to get my training readiness.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Venu 3 I have the original Venu that I purchased 4 years ago and it got a lot of use. I was ready to upgrade my Garmin watch and decided to go with the Venu 3. The watch functions are intuitive, the screen is brighter and crisper and it charges very easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good as Advertised Upgraded my Venu 2 to the Venu 3. Not a significant upgrade as I was perfectly happy with the 2. The 3 however has a few more bells and whistles, a bigger display and will get new feature upgrades in the future that the 2 will not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very well-designed gadget As a runner, data geek and former Apple watch and fitbit user, I love how this was designed and how it visualize the data it collects.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definite Step Up from FitBit! I switched from FitBit to Garmin because the FitBit features were lacking. I decided to go with Garmin instead of Apple because the Venu 3 has 7-10 day battery life where the Apple watch has at most 36 Hours. I do not want to have to charge it everyday. Since wearing the Garmin Venu 3 for about a month now, I am loving all the data that I get from the app. I also love how comfortable the watch is, the customization of the watch face and being able to do challenges with my husband!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would be amazing if it had a smart wake alarm Happy to be back with a long-battery life garmin watch, but in terms of features outside of battery life it is not better than Fitbit's sense/versa offerings. Previously with fitbit, I had a better-than-average waking experience with the smart wake feature. For some reason Garmin doesn't include this, despite tracking all of the body data that would make it possible. Third party apps support the functionality somewhat, but at the cost of overnight body data tracking which in turn removes a lot of the body battery / etc feedback on the watch. It is frankly embarassing that Garmin hasn't implemented this feature in 2023. If you're a busy person that doesn't always have a consistent bedtime then you'll need to find another alarm solution to make up for Garmin's feature oversight. Currently wearing my older fitbit to bed to make up for this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing technology in this It can do so many things. I printed out the user's manual. It was 40 pages..printed on both sides. As time goes on I am finding my way around the watch. I track my heart rate when I work out, my sleep cycles, I tried the EEG function, I like the fact I can change the watch face. Need to find one that has military time. I like how it connects to my phone and vibrates when I get an email or a txt. Still lots to learn about it and you keep adding new functions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much better than my Garmin Vivoactive4 I've used a Garmin Vivoactive4 for several years and this is a significant upgrade. For me it's the perfect combination of smart watch and activity tracker. I use it mostly for golf and pickleball and to track my sleep and daily health stats. It has not disappointed me. The new display is so nice, the watch is responsive, and easy to use. I have no regrets that I upgraded to this model. It has the perfect combination of features for my needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice product but still needs improvement Watch have great set of features and good battery life, although companion application could be better also some features are working worse than expected which doesn’t seem to be of rocket science and already existing for years in other watches, responsiveness and built quality/materials could be better for its price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features. A couple issues. I bought the Venu 3 on sale to replace my 5 year old Garmin. While it's neat that it can do a few more things, the activities remain the same as before. My main problem is how scratched the screen is already. I've bought a screen protector for it, but I never had to with my last one. I'm almost embarrassed that it looks so old so soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall love it Love: Lightweight and so far, durable (I am notoriously klutzy) Has some touch screen interaction Can take calls Awesome HR tracking (I hate HR monitor straps, so this is great) Love all the Garmin workout features Redshift! flashlight!! Meditation and breath work (though I wish there was a way to turn off the voice prompts) Move alerts HRV Morning reports... OK, basically ALL the fitness features, plus I like how I can get/reply to (android phone) text messages, see emails, etc. I also like how this is more limiting than the current Android smartwatch that I own--in terms of I get notifications, etc from the Venu3 but there's a limit on how involved I can get with answering things--which I like because for me it feels like one step away from always being tied to my phone. Things I'd change/add: --customized move alert timing/time of day for the alerts --add an "I'm sick and can't workout" pause button to ease the workout guilt --Start an activity by tapping on an icon on the watch face --able to add 'time of day' to workout data screens

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Garmin Venu 3 Christmas 2023 I received a Garmin Venu 3 for Christmas (as I specifically bought it for my wife to give it to me) as a replacement for my other smartwatch due to them continually downgrading their app. I had been thinking of switching to Garmin for the past 2 years but due to price points kept going back with the competitor. Now I am wondering why I didn't get "smart" two years ago. The Venu 3 has everything the competitor ended: challenges for multiple types of exercises, fitness programs, expeditions, weekly challenges, and customizable app layout and watch faces. I am just beginning to use and learn its many features but have already gotten excited about achieving daily and weekly goals on multiple items. The Watch Face I am using, called GLANCE (free version), allows a complete customization where I can see progress arcs on steps, battery percentage and battery percentage arc, time with AM/PM and seconds, date (customizable format), distance, heart rate, and calories. That's all EASILY visible on the main watch face. I am still learning how to click thru for more details on the watch but have added multiple exercises which I plan on adding to my weekly exercise list. Then we go to the APP. Which literally blows away the former smart watch's app I used. Not even comparable. The app can be condensed or expanded on your phone. The map details on my walk show street names and you can even see what side of the street I walked on thru my neighborhood. It shows pace to such a level of color coded detail I can literally see where I had to stop and wait for my dog's to pee as we walked thru the neighborhood. I am literally kicking my self for not switching years ago. You do have to add My Fitness Pal to count calories and link it to Garmin as they suggest and this is seamless. They have a free version but I opted to actually pay for the version which allows a product code scan, which is awesome. I have had the Venu 3 and Garmin for about 3 days of use now and can highly recommend buying this product. Battery life is very good even with my usage of turning on all the battery draining features for daily use. The App Store, and even Garmin's web site, does not do the App justice in describing its features. Once you start to get into the details of what the app and watch are capable for enhancing fitness goals, its pretty remarkable. If you are on the "fence" about what Smart Watch to buy I can highly recommend Garmin for its App and this particular model, the Venu 3 which is highly rated on the internet in multiple review articles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing and overwhelming. I’ve had my Garmin venue three for a couple months now. Still learning the ins and outs of its operation. Trying to set up a custom workout is frustrating. Not finding any of the specific exercises that I’m looking for. Subsequently what I’m doing is not on sync with what the watch thinks I’m doing. Still working on a custom watch face. Just not finding the items I’m looking for. Overall I am really enjoying this new watch. Coming from the vevo, active three it is quite an upgrade!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good but watch out for this one gotcha... I upgraded from a Venu 2. Particularly loving the HRV insights (especially as I'm already improving them) but many new and improved features and made the upgrade worthwhile for me. However I'm very disappointed that this watch doesn't show Running Dynamics when paired with an HR Pro Plus chest strap. Time for Garmin to simplify the product/feature matrix and deliver features on all watches that can support them, not segment the product line up as they currently do. It's confusing and frustrating. And I don't think it's good for business.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Switched from a Apple Watch 8 to this Garmin Venu 3. I am really impressed with the motivation this causes. For some reason closing the rings on the Apple Watch, is not nearly as exciting as adopting challenges and trying to achieve them. The commitment on the Garmin is great. I love the data, and the coachs built into the system that give practical advice. The body battery is a great feature also. Overall, its not the easiest to setup, and the app is not as refined. But looking past those things, its a better data and motifvation machine over the apple watch. The band that came with the watch did not do well for me, and caused me issues. I replaced the band and solved that problem easily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great watch I wear the watch for 4 weeks. I must say the watch is incredible! The sensors are really accurate. Is compared them with an independent system with a chest band and the test proved the accuracy of the watch. It took some time to understand the menu structure of the watch, but after 4 weeks I'm able to find the most things without tlhelp.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than the Apple Watch at Health and Fitness An impressive take on a smart watch from Garmin. I replaced my aging Apple Watch with the Venue 3 and haven't looked back. The health and fitness metrics are FAR superior, and it's much more comfortable to wear at night so I actually get to collect sleep metrics. My biggest complaint is the touch screen. It's not nearly as responsive as the Apple Watch. I find myself wishing it had the two additional buttons that the Forerunner has.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Please fix weather on watch. It shows wrong values Hi there, thank you for great product. I like garmin venue 3. But i am a little bit disappointed. After two weeks of usage, i found that weather became wrong on watch screen. It shows different values, not what i have on watch. When i did set up of watch, i selected Weather settings to get data from my iPhone. And everything was Ok. But after few weeks you released some upgrade to watch and Connect app. And now i don’t have option is user settings to change weather config. There is no such setting any more. Why? And now my watch shows wrong weather. In setting on watch for weather there is only option to update my location by GPS. But gps does not work properly in Ukraine due to fu*ed russia aggression over Ukriane. Please return weather setting to iPhone Connect app. Thanks in advance. Have a nice day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Screen just snags attention. I’ve had it for a month and it’s a pretty basic watch compared to other watches on garmin’s line, but make no mistake about it. This watch still runs circles around the competition. It’s the perfect everyday watch for me. Money well spent so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great.. no amazing watch It's been close to a month now with this beast of a watch and it's amazing. Watch history was apple watch which was great but battery is a no no for me till about 8 months ago. Then moved to a amazfit watch (gts 4) which fixed the battery problem but lacked some more smart watch features since there was close to none there till last month. No fast forward to now and I found the perfect mix. Good battery, good smart watch functions, great fitness tracking capabilities. I have AOD for about 15 hours of the day and that lasts me about 4 days and I use the fitness tracking for about an hour and a half a of which is not what was promised but still great to me which is better than 1 day. It is helping keep better track of my training plus my own body. 10/10

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much potential, but not realized. Good: The display is clear and bright. The setup was relatively easy. Poor: The only good watch faces are from 3rd party apps who want all sorts of access to my watch which in turn has access to all sorts of things from my phone ... Security issue. The watch doesn't automatically change from one time zone to another leading to missing appointments. The sleep data is way off ... someone is just guessing. The phone app does menu options you don't have on the watch and the watch has some menu options you don't have on the app. They should match. The screen-on-when-you-gesture only works about 75% of the time. The 3 buttons on the side are completely unintuitive .. which is "in" which is "out" which is "next" ... complete guess situation by situation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great daily driver I've had my Venu3 a few weeks. Before this I had a Fenix7 and also have an old Vivoactive 3music. The Venu3 has been great for the weight and thinner width. Good all-rounder..I can save music to the device, has big easy to read screen but not thick, has golf activity which I use all summer, and the newer sensor for better health metrics. I put on an elastic nylon band and it works great, whereas it might not with a heavier watch. I have had Afib so the ECG ability is great. Other than that I can't really tell any difference in the new sensor over the Fenix. HR seems a bit slow to respond compared to a chest strap but are super accurate once things stabilize. As Afib sufferers know... watch optical HR sensors are all but useless when you are actually in arrhythmia...you need a chest strap. But other than that they match up well in my tests. Venu3 has a unique sleep coach which is a neat feature and Sleep scoring has improved over time with Garmin, although I still wouldn't bank on it exclusively if sleep tracking is vital for you. I do find the new nap detection has worked well. Nowhere near the Fenix bells and whistles in the Venu3...simplicity has its pros and cons...things I personally wish the Venu3 had: Trail Running activity (I just use Hiking when I do a trail run, which is ok...I still think adding basic Trail Running should be available..cmon Garmin). I also wish the Golf features were more up to Fenix standard, but they are not. Just the basics, but glad to have them. I found I wasn't using the built in Fenix maps much at all so I don't miss that feature as much as I thought i would really, though some of the Hill and Endurance features were fun. The Venu3 is more health and daily driver functional and not the uber outdoor watch. Running has been fine and I appreciate the lighter weight... luckily the reaction time of the wrist gesture has gotten better with these amoled screens, so you shouldn't run into poles waiting for the display to light up to useable levels. That said, the MIP is probably always going to be more consistent there. Overall I have loved the brighter Amoled screen and has been worth the tradeoff in battery. For me, width of the watch is a biggie as I wear it all day and overnight. The 12mm is a nice compromise in size and functions/battery life. As Garmin gets better battery tech and bigger watches slim down, I may look at diff models down the road. I don't mind bigger screens at all.. it's the thickness that tends to bother me over time. I'm glad battery life tech has been a priority for Garmin as it makes it a front runner for me over the Pixel watches and such for now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Garmin watch I've had the Fenix, Epix and now the Venu3. What I love about the Venu is the simplicity of the screens. The great image it has and the variety of apps. Easy to use and really customizable with the Garmin connect app. What I wish it was a little dressier. The watch looks and feels a little plasticky despite the metal bezel. Which allows for an EEG which I really like. I'd pay slightly more for this watch if it looked nicer. Also I'd like the side buttons to be a little more substantial, not plastic. The bottom button is not as responsive as it should be. Overall it's know my go to Garmin watch as it has a nice small profile vs. the Epic and Fenix

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Combo of Smart and Training Updated my watch from the venu 2 Plus to the new Venu 3 and really really pleased. The screen is still amazing and really vibrant, easy to read, and works great! I've been really satisfied with the extra training features but the most important ones have been the sleep and recovery enhancements that did not appear on the venu 2 plus. I'm not sure if they would have but I was happy to do the upgrade to the new model and work with the new features as a whole. The HR monitor was worth the jump too as it incorporates the new sensor that should be more accurate as well as offer more features to the watch then just your basic HR monitoring. As far as the smart watch features go, it is cool that I can still take calls on my wrist with the watch although I rarely do. Seeing text messages was the biggest thing and although this is not different from my Venu 2 Plus, it is a nice feature to have. I think there needs to be a little more custimazation to the notification in general so that I can tailor my watch to show me the notifications I want like say texts, calls, certain app notifications, and other items. But for not its pretty much all app notifications or just the basic notifications of calls and texts. It works for me but something I would like to see down the line with the Venu series where you can customize your watch to notify you of certain things. I know other smart watches in the market are able to do this so I would love to see that in here eventually but not a deal breaker at all. In fact, it is such a small category item in comparison to all the other items that you get in this watch when it comes to training and day to day function. Last thing is about battery life. Really amazing battery life on this device. I've been able to get around 7ish days of battery all while logging at least one one hour training sessions 6/7 days of the week. This is all while using the watch in the smart watch mode and not the "always on" display. Really satisfied with this and happy to have made the jump to the newer model! Tons of great features I have not really even used here as well that I look forward to exploring down the line.

I bought the Venu 3 because of the features not available on my Garmin Vivomove Luxe, including afib detention and hrv status, as well as being able to answer calls. Exceeded my expectations. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great overall! Awesome watch to help keep track of all your fitness, sleep, and health. I really use it to help record my progress for fitness, tennis, and golf and tracking my results. The only complaint I have is wishing the Bluetooth could connect a little farther. It seems to only go about 25ft and alerts you every time you disconnect or connect when you are at that distance. Other than that it’s a solid overall watch!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good features for a Fitness tracker watch I have a Garmin VivoActive4 Fitness watch that I purchased in 2019. It was my first Garmin Fitness watch and have been very pleased with it. It was way ahead of any prior fitness watch brand I had previously owned. But the battery was fading at 4 years of use. So I first purchased a Garmin VivoActive5 to replace it. The VivoActive5 was a disappointing experience. Inaccurate heart rate and sleep data and totally different from my VivoActive4. I went from meeting fitness and sleep goals to not even being close. Only difference was the Fitness watch. My fitness activities and sleep routines had not changed. I returned the VivoActive5 and purchased a Gamin Venu3. While there are still differences in heart rate and sleep data in comparison to my VivoActive4 they are more accurate than the VivoActive5. The Venu3 has later generation sensors, step capability, ECG and other features the VivoActive5 does not have. The OLED display is awesome. The battery charge is better but 11 days as stated in the Specs unless you turn off many of the features you use on a Fitness Watch. But overall a much better choice as a successor to my Garmin VivoActve4. Garmin offers the best value and choices for fitness watches. I would not go back to any of the previous brands I owned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great watch, great battery I mainly use the watch for running and sleep tracking. I'm not too concerned about the accuracy of the measurements, but it is reasonable and in line with my previous measurements on other devices. The battery life is great, since I don't have to worry about it being out of battery every day. I do charge it once every few days during the time I shower, so I'm not too sure about the exact battery length without charging. The watch is also stylish, and overall, I don't have anything bad to say about it :P

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Battery life for days I switched from using a FitBit, which required daily charging and additional fees for full features, to the Venu 3. This new watch offers all its functionalities without extra charges, and I am slowly retraining my brain to break the habit of nightly recharging. The Venu 3 perfectly balances smartwatch and fitness tracker features. Surprisingly, it also integrates more effectively with my Pixel phone than the FitBit, even though FitBit is associated with Google.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great upgrade from the original Venu I've had the original Venu for a few years and the OLED display is half faded-out. I liked that one so much that I stuck with it in the Venu 3. There are some nice upgrades and the screen is much better (yes, even before the fading). The main thing that kept me from getting a Fenix that was on sale is the ECG app - my Doc even recommended it for me and I got it with FSA $'s. I was given the Approach S62 for my golf habit, but if I forget that one the golf app in the Venu does just fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feature rich and stylish Been waiting for this upgrade for a while and it was definitely worth it. I'm a cyclist and this device compliments my Garmin head unit perfectly. The features are plentiful and the combo is great for even the most avid cyclist. I am particularly impressed with the display quality and the variety of watch faces available on Garmin Connect IQ Store. HRV and ECG are welcome introductions and the operating system is thankfully more intuitive than previous versions. As expected, Garmin Pay works faultlessly with my MasterCard for contactless payments. Voice Assistant is a handy addition, and when used with Google Home, works intelligently with my smart home devices for automation procedures. The watch is lightweight, has a massively improved battery life, and a wealth of new intelligent features (Glances). Garmin Connect is polished and integrates well with third party apps/services. All round, a great buy and I'm impressed with this generation of the Venu.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than Venu 2 but with same software issues It is now over a month since I had this watch; I wanted to gather enough information for this review. I had a Venu 2 before this, so I can tell you a little bit about the differences. Let's start with the good part: - sync speed is better though occasionally the sync process seems to hang - battery life is offering a day or two extra; I have the always-on display enabled and it lasts about 4-5 days. - improved sensors. The altimeter sensor on Venu 2 was so bad that even after I got a replacement under warranty it will still show that I completed my floors goal by walking on a flat surface. But so far no issue with Venu 3. - I like the new Morning Report though there are issue with the weather info (see below) and calendar displaying only one event. The bad is mostly related to the watch software. I feel like Garmin's software team has something to learn from Fitbit. A collaboration with Fitbit/Google might benefit them. - Weather app. The issue here seems to be that they display "Feels Like" temperature instead of actual temperature. It might be their excuse to cover software issue but it gets even worth when current temperature is outside the Minimum-Maximum range by 10 degrees or more (see images). There are three temperatures displayed on the watch: current, min and max. Logically when the watch current temperature is outside the ranges, there is a technical problem. Instead of taking a logical decision, Garmin's customer support is trained to find the issue on the user's side. After long complicated debug processes, the outside temperature raised more than 10 degree so it will no longer falls under the minimum. Now they think their debug solved my issue. Until next morning when I see the issue again but I don't have time to waste on customer support anymore. - Sleep score. Sometimes you get a good sleep and then you look at the watch and it gives you 48 (Poor) score. Why? I looked at the sleep components: 3 are Excellent, 1 Good, 1 Fair and 1 Poor. How is that giving a Poor overall score. Don't you see a problem here? Customer support says: It seems there is a problem with the Stress Level on your watch. Can you clear all data from your watch and wait another 6 days to collect enough data for an "accurate" sleep score? Now my wife has the same issue on Venu 3S; I think you should treat this as a rule not like an exception. - Swimming. My pool is 10 meters long but Garmin doesn't allow me to set a length bellow 13 meters. Customer support answers that the algorithm is relying on number of strides and the data will not be accurate under 15 yards. First of all saying that my pool is 15 yards long instead of 11 will definitely generate inaccurate results. Second, the number of strides is not a good way to calculate swim length. In the beginning, when I am rested, I need 7-8 strides to cover the length, but when I am tired I might need double the strides. Why don't you use the pool length I set (10m) and using the amounts of sensors on the watch, you can auto-detect easily when users is doing a change in direction? - Auto-detect activity. I was expecting that Venu 3 will have an improved version of it since Venu 2 will sometimes auto-detect few minutes late. Well instead of an improved version, the software team decided to remove it. It was probably too much of a hassle for them. - Auto-pause activity. Even thought they removed the auto-start / auto-stop activity features from Venu 3, they are still offering auto-pause. With the same rigid thinking, the feature cannot be customized (how many seconds of inactivity would trigger the pause). I tried this feature on my last vacation and at a point, my watch was continuously switch between pause and start even though I was still walking and my hand was not in a pocket but moving. This will also make me raise may hand to see what the watch wants? Why is it vibrating or beeping? At the end of my walking activity, my watch only gave me credit for 1.7 miles. My wife used the same feature without the auto-pause and her watch recorder 2.4 miles. So I was penalized 30% of the distance though distance should be the same. - phone calls. Generally works but it's a hit-and-miss. Sometimes the call gets disconnected from the watch and there is no option to retrieve the call back. On the Phone, you have to option to send a call to the watch but you need to try multiple times to succeed. And even after success, they added a confirmation to the watch: "Accept audio call?". Are they afraid the call might go to another device in the room? Isn't that prevented by the pairing process of the bluetooth connection? I am not getting any confirmations if I try to send the call to my tablet or to my car. - Stats: The iConnect app is showing me 25 stats about by walking activity: heart-rate, distance, time, elevation, etc. It even displays a map of my route which I really like; but the most important stat for walking is NOT there: number of steps. Conclusions: Since Samsung switched its watch operating system to Wear OS (Galaxy Watch 4) their watches are no longer working on IOS platform. That makes Garmin the only viable competitor to Apple Watch. For me, battery life was the decisioning factor. If you are an IOS user and can close your eyes on the software issues and on the poor customer support, then this is definitely a good option for you. I really hope that my review can help Garmin improve their products and we will see better smarter watches from them. Please excuse the quality of some photos; they where taken at night and with my screen protector on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beat expectations Spent a good deal of time searching, reading reviews and watching videos. Ultimately the battery life won me over. I'm over 70 and thought the Venu 3 might help motivate me to keep moving, running is out of the question with a bum knee however I'm walking more now that I have the watch to keep me aware of my daily totals.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy this watch Originally bought a Samsung. Big mistake. It does not monitor/record pulse rates anywhere near what they are. The Venu 3 records pulse rates properly, which accordingly calculates calories burned more accurately. The mapping of my walks/runs is amazing in its accuracy. And the ~week-long battery life is wonderful. I love this watch!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice features, good statistics. I owned a Fitbit before and are very happy a switched for a Garmin. It takes a little, after 3 years Fitbit, to find my way around in the menus, but it’s ok now. Statistics for heartbeats, HRV, stress and body battery are great and better then Fitbit in my opinion. Also some activities are there now that I missed in the past. I did not check the golf app but looks promising. I still are discovering new nice features. I would by a Garmin again. Best: no monthly charge for all features.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Smartwatch I've Ever Owned! This watch is great. There are so many options on this watch. I did a lot of comparative shopping before I bought this model. I've had several different Fitbit models and they don't even compare. I'm glad I waited for the Venu 3 because I have the touch screen and other features. The other day I tripped and fell, the watch knew that I fell down. It went to an emergency mode and basically asked me if I needed help. That made me feel pretty secure knowing that something happened that it would activate an emergency system. I'm really amazed by how sensitive this watch is!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Smart Watch! Excellent Smart Watch with everything I wanted and needed. I have been a Garmin fan for many years now, this is my fourth Garmin watch and have yet to be disappointed! I am particularly happy with the ECG App and it's features, which is my primary reason for upgrading now from the Vivoactive 4. Good work Garmin engineers and developers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Update required The voice conversation switches to the watch speaker automatically If the lock is on, calls cannot be answered via the watch The dial cannot be silenced by the watch, only the dial can be hung up When you take off the watch, notifications arrive on the watch, not like other watches, only when you wear the watch

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Functionally great, easily scuffed. I've had this watch for about a month now. I previously was running a vivoactive 3 until it got to the point it wouldn't hold a charge the entire day. When I upgraded I wanted similar features and the venu3 had the integrated speaker so I went with that. Expectations wise it's been great from a a user standpoint and is responsive. Unfortunately from just everyday use it turns out the metal is just painted rather than dyed so it scuffs easily and I can see by the end of the year my black metal watch turning silver from simple usage. And for the record I have a desk job so it's not like I'm taking it into a construction site.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great colorful Screen I have been using my Venu 3 for about 3 weeks now. Overall so far I am very happy. I have been able to track steps and sleep and some basic info. I am looking forward to exploring and using more of the great functions available. I leave the watch on all of the time and have it go in sleep mode each night. I using give it a quick charge when I am in the shower, which has been more than enough to keep it going.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A major upgrade I received the Garmin Venu 3 for Christmas to replace the original Venu. I immediately noted the screen was brighter and clearer and navigation was snappier than I had become accustomed to. In addition, I appreciate the improvements to the sensors. For example, I find sleep tracking to be much more accurate and the addition of naps is a good one. The band that comes with the Venu is fine, but I have had issues with the clasp on both my original Venu and the Venu 3. That is why I was delighted to find that you make a very good quality band that uses a Velcro connector. This band is the most comfortable watch band I have ever worn.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Problems initially Was difficult at first, it seems Garmin only sends the watch with USB-c when most of the world is still using the standard USB took over a week to be able to use the watch, until then it was an expensive paper weight. once it was properly setup and I had the charging cable I needed it has worked very well. Expensive but worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Many fitness options, Great Battery Life! I bought this to work with my Android phone and I bought an Apple Watch for my wife to work with her I-phone. She has to recharge her phone daily, and I only need to charge after a week or two even though I tend to do it once per day. It's nice to know I don't have to recharge it daily. My wife and I are still comparing our applications and their performance. I like to use a stationary cycle, but the app doesn't allow me to input the calories burned based on the computer output from my cycle. Maybe I need to learn more about the applications and I will find a way to record stationary cycle activities better. We both like our sleep apps, but the Garmin provides more information than the Apple watch. OK, my Garmin will not receive calls without my phone Bluetoothed to it and her Apple watch doesn't require her phone to be nearby, but I don't pay an additional monthly fee to my service provider for the Garmin. I wanted her to have phone access because she does HIIT in our neighborhood and doesn't need to be carrying her phone at these times. Men have pockets, so carrying my phone is not an issue. I like the many choices of watch faces! I like the fact you can create your own even though I use one that's provided on the Garmin IQ. I could go on but this is all the time I have for the review today.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very complete and elegant watch I changed my Venu to the Venu 3 and it was worth it. Another amazing watch! Thank you Garmin!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome SMARTWATCH! Does it all! I received the watch as a Christmas gift, so I've had it for almost a month and I really love it. I've had Garmin watches before (vivofit3, VenuSq), but it has great new features, such as a Sleep Coach and Sleep Score, and provides am overview each morning along with a daily breakdown of your activity levels and stress each night. This is in addition to heart rate monitoring, activity tracking, hydration tracker, cycle tracker for women, and even meditation activities. Highly recommend this watch if you want to monitor your health and activity levels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great watch but miss Garmin Pay Excellent quality. Replacing my Venu 2 Pro. Love the display. Battery life is much better than my old Venu 2. Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Really Wanted to Love This Watch I really wanted to love this watch. I upgraded from a perfectly functional original Venu, and had the Vivoactive before that. I love the new (to me) user interface and enhanced sleep features. The key features I was looking forward to on the Venu 3 were 1) upgraded HR sensor and ECG capability and 2) Voice Assistant to dictate texts and the ability to make and answer phone calls. I wasn't worried that the ECG capability wasn't enabled at launch, although I would have hoped that Garmin would have planned to have the FDA approval in place prior to launch. The Voice Assistant and ability to use the built in mic and speaker to make phone calls and listen to or dictate texts has been a major disappointment. I couldn't get the Voice Assistant to connect to my phone when I was setting up the Venu 3, even though other notifications were successfully being sent to the watch. I contacted Garmin Support and was sent a replacement. I was able to get the replacement Venu 3's Voice Assistant to connect to my phone and work, but other major problems still remain. The watch disconnects from the phone if I get more than 10'-15' away (line of sight) or go into another room. My previous Venu had greater range. I also have a great deal of connectivity issues with the Voice Assistant when riding my bicycle. I'm guessing that the fact that my phone connects to my bike computer (head unit) is causing a problem, but being able to reply to texts or calls while riding was one of my primary use cases. The final problem is that while I can initiate or answer phone calls on the watch, after a few seconds, the audio on the watch stops and reverts back to the phone itself. I have to hurry to get the phone out of my pocket and talk to the caller before they think I've hung up and hang up themselves. These features feel like they're still in beta and weren't ready for release. The fact that the voice features were working on the Venu 2 Plus makes the problem even more aggravating. For the amount of money I paid for this watch, I didn't expect to be a beta tester. At this point, I'm hoping for a firmware update to address the Bluetooth connectivity issues which seem to be at the core of the problems I'm experiencing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better experience than Fitbit Sense Switched from Fitbit Sense to Venu3. Fitbit died after I swam in the pool... Advantages for Venu3: 1. more data rich watch experience: more apps, more data on the screen; Fitbit requires phone to view data 2. Garmin updates firmware/software more frequently than Fitbit, e.g., added ECG app recently 3. SpO2 is measured both at night and on-demand plus actual SpO2 values rather than "variation" in Fitbit 4. 3 Venu buttons are located to the right - much more convenient than 1 button on Fitbit on the left. 4. Longer battery life than Fitbit, but less than 9 days; maybe due to SpO2 at night. 5. I uploaded my iTunes library to Venu using Garmin Express app on Windows 6. Included premium features vs. 6 months and the $10/month for Fitbit Disadvantages: 1. Price 2. Convoluted IU for both Venu and phone app. Takes time to learn. I often need to google "how to ... on Venu" to learn how set things up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Watch is great, voice command is not I had the watch for about 2 weeks. It is a great watch. I like the health metrics, garmin pay, workout tracking and notifications/alerts. The screen is great for displaying the notifications and easy to read. The biggest disappointment is the voice command. This is the reason why I chose this watch over the Vivoactive 5 is for the ability to use my watch to respond to messages with my voice and to initiate commands like timers and calling contacts. None of this has worked with the watch so far. The voice command screen just cycles and doesn't seem to connect to the phone. My big wish was to respond to text messages I received on my watch with a voice command, come to find out this is not possible. I am considering returning the watch for the vivoactive 5.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ALL OVER THE MAP I find the Garmin Venue 3 watch sleep data to be all over the map. Same with another device not worn on my wrist. I know when I turn in for the night. And all too often both devices have me going to bed hours later...hours...later. Batteries are adequately charged. And both devices are snug against my skin. Also, on a daily basis, the Venu 3 reports a total daily burn of 1920± calories while the other devices reports well over 2500±. HR is accurate against the Polar chest strap. So that's good. But I have endured chronic sleep deprivation for nearly 5 years: I'm 72 years old. Since I've stopped evaluating my body on a daily basis with a plethora of data, my sleep has greatly improved. As my very wise physician/acupunturist said to me, "When you get up, just feel your body. How do you feel?" Smart watches and rings are amazing techno-creatures. But given that the modern human brain is what?...200,000 years in the making, I think it has its own ways of talking to me whenever necessary. All I have to do is be quiet and listen. So off with the watches. So away with these techno-creatures: hello body. Talk to me, please. — Doug

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heart Rate Accuracy I upgraded from an older generation Garmin after heart surgery. My top priority was getting the most accurate, wrist-worn heart rate readings. I have been using Fitbit Flex for years but because this birthday I turned 67 he wanted to give me a closer look at my health. Learning all of the features has been a bit of a challenge. The Venu 3 is larger than what I have been using which is another change. So far it’s good, check back in a few months.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Battery Nice looking watch. Battery last about a week with less than normal use. It would be nice if there was some kind of instructions on how to better use the watch. Heart rate and pulse oxygen are very accurate. Much better watch than Samsung watches

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Features on the Venu 3! This is my third smartwatch and second GARMIN. I love the features of this watch. I am excited to learn more about the HRV tracking. The GARMIN coach is helping me explore running on my own terms, slowly a 5K. The step challenges with random strangers, great inspiration.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This watch is absolutely amazing I come from a different smart watch -- the bit of Fit. Using my Venu 3 was a night and day difference. It is drastically better than anything I've ever owned. There is so much ease, so much clarity, and overall, is a far superior watch than anything the other brand could ever produce.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Expensive, Not worth the money spent. I bought this watch a month ago. The plus point is it reads accurate heart beat and Oxygen readings. But the sleep tracker is total waste. It says, I having sleep, but I am laying in my bed wide awake watching YouTube . Self tested and realized it is a flaw after experimenting many times.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Features!! Super fitness Watch I really love this Garmin Venu 3. Screen size is just right and very responsive to touch and the screen brightness is super. I've turned down the brightness to 30% and it is still very bright. I'm enjoying the battery life. 10 + days on a single charge given its screen brightness and feature set is impressive especially coming from two major phone giants where you may get a day or maybe slightly more. The build is great and solid. I have placed a screen protector on and will add a soft bumper on occasion that warrants it. It is also very stylish. Functionality has been top notch. It's very accurate and allows for monitoring of my heart as I have a-Fib. It can do EKG, oxygen readings, sleep monitoring, Heart rate variability, has a body battery and stress levels. Overall I made the move because I feel it really is focused on fitness. And of all other smartwatches, for me, I have enjoyed the accompanied phone app that gives me a readout which is concise and informative. Much more so than others I've used before. This is an impressive smart watch. I thought it a bit expensive but after using it has been well worth it. I highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Could be better I bought this a month ago and some features do not work well. The volume on the music feature does not work while running and it doesnt work well with “any kind of wireless earphones” (as people at the store said)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Venu 3 series I really like the sleep feature on the watch. It measures REM, nonREM, awake, resting. Body battery which tells me how good I should feel. I like the way in the morning it tells me to believe in myself. I have another watch and it needs to be charged once a day. This watch can go almost a week wit I think the EKG with just 2 fingers. It tracks when I go up and down stairs. It tracks my weight lifting, tennis, kayaking by time and calories. I can get phone calls on it which helps because I don’t hear my phone sometimes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the watch; hate band availability I just bought a Garmin Venu 3 and set it up, which was very easy. Took maybe 15 minutes. And now I have spent 2 hrs searching online for a replacement silicone band that will fit my 8.3 inch wrist. Come on, Garmin! Get real about XL bands. Offer at least a couple of 22mm silicone bands that are true XLs. Novel idea: include ne in that $460 package!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Watch so far I have had this for 3 weeks so far. I had 3 Apple Watches prior to this. There are small nuances that I am learning to navigate through that are different from apple but overall I couldn’t be more pleased. I don’t regret the switch so far at all. Battery life is amazing and the health and exercise analytics are great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect I had been wearing a 1st gel Garmin Venu for many years and was hesitant to upgrade to the Venus 3 but so glad I did. It took a bit of doing as I had to go to 2 stores to actually get one. This watch is perfect for my lifestyle, though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I miss my Fitbit Sense! I gave my husband an EPIX for our anniversary and he loves it. He wanted me to get a Garmin too, so I did the research and waited for the Venu3 to come out. I have read the instruction manual and this watch is a dud, at least with an iPhone. I am not getting notifications on my wrist to let me know I have a text or phone call, but I click to open the notifications app and there are 25 that include business and junk emails, and calendar items not calls or texts, which is all I want. The only notification (vibration) I do get is that I am disconnected from my phone if I walk into another room, only steps away from my phone. When golfing, the golf app shows the entire route on the road and how many mile to get to the golf course, then it shows my speed at 3-6 mph. Yeah. I’m in a golf cart! It does not sense when I have hit a shot or how far it went. This watch was a gift and I don’t want to complain, but don’t waste your money. You can download a golf app onto the Fitbit sense and get front, middle back distance and not miss out on texts or calls. I am going to try to return.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Activity watch. Has become my daily wear. Tons of features and stellar battery life. Bright screen. Pricy but worth it. Supporting Apps work well. Only negative is strap feels cheap and makes your wrist sweat during regular wearing. Should be perforated.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Watch I originally brought the Garmin Venu 2 Plus, then I wanted to purchase one for my wife and found out about the Garmin Venu 3. We both have had Apple Watches in the past, and at the time believed they were great watches until mine just started to fall apart. I refused to purchase another Apple Watch and was looking for a replacement when I found your Garmin Watches. My wife & myself love our Garmin Venu 3 watches and know beyond a shadow of a doubt it was a great purchase. We love all of its features, Watch faces, reminders, huge watch face and different faces we can have on our watches. As far as we are concerned, Garmin hit a Grand Slam Bases loaded home run and we are Thankful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Venu 3 has it all! I bought the Venu 3 about 3 weeks ago. I am absolutely impressed with the features and performance of the watch. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome watch I wore out my first Garmin so I reached out to them for a suggestion on a replacement. I got the most helpful rep who made suggestions based on my need. I bought the Venu 3 and I couldn’t be happier. It is an amazing watch with TONS of features. Unlike the Apple Watches I read about, the Venu battery lasts for weeks before a charge is needed. I couldn’t recommend this watch more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Is Venu3/3S Worth the Extra Cost Vs Vivoactive 5? Needed a new Garmin watch and narrowed down choices to Venu3 and Vivoactive 5. These watches are very similar in terms of offered functionality and I answered the question for myself, "Do the additional features of the Venu3 justify the increased cost?" Below are the differences: 1. Garmin Elevate 5 versus Garmin Elevate 4 2. Steel bezel versus aluminum bezel 3. Microphone and speaker for bluetooth and voice assistant support 4. Barometric altimeter sensor - measures floors climbed and ascent/descent metrics for sport related activities (for me running and cycling). 5. Gyroscope 6. Smart Trainer control (haven't used it yet) 7. More activity profiles (don't need them but you might) 8. Cycling - ability to sync power meters 9. Jet lag advisor (don't really travel far enough for this to be a factor) Are these features worth the additional cost? That depends on your needs. For me, the biggest feature is the Elevate5 sensor and steel bezel. My previous watch was a 9 year old Forerunner 645. Current watch has most of the health related features plus additional features I thoroughly enjoy such as 'Body Battery' , 'HRV status' , 'Recovery' , 'Intensity Minutes' , the AMOLED screen is a huge improvement and battery life thusfar lasts 7 days (screensaver is turned on). In the 3 weeks I've owned the watch, no negatives only positives. Whether you purchase the Venu3 or Vivoactive5, either will be an excellent watch for years to come, which has been my experience with 11 years use of Garmin wristwatches.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big Improvement A big improvement from my previous Vivoactiive 4! Easy to view, I like the "Glance" features, Morning Summary, and ECG has just been downloaded. Intensity Minutes starts tracking by the minute not needing 10 minutes like the V-4. I had to adjust the heart rate zones so they wouldn't record so easily. When going for a walk, GPS goes on automatically, not having to select like on V-4. Like all the other health tracking!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's just ok I have been using the Garmin Venue 3 for about 3 weeks. One thing that bothers me is when I am out in bicycle or running or walking using the tracking I can't see the time. I have no idea what time it is. Another thing is I operate machinery, when I am operating a machine the watch is logging in steps. I would also like it to monitor blood pressure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All good, except for one thing... I love this watch, but was disappointed that the golf app is not the same as with the my Fenix 7x Solar. It shows only the green (and not the fairway/entire hole too) so you can't touch the screen to figure out carries to/over hazards like on the Fenix. Odd.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbelievable clarity! I've had multiple Garmin watches, probably 7 total, and have loved them all. I got the Venu 3 because of being able to take calls from the watch but I'm most impressed with the clarity and touch screen. I also like the slimmer look for the office over the fenix. My only complaint is the watch band is short, I'm attach it on the 3rd notch from the end. Overall, another great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from VENU 3 Great Upgrade from the original VENU I enjoyed my original VENU for the past three years and only upgraded due to the additional features available on the VENU 3. Specifically, the larger face, larger font, ability to send and receive calls and texts, and improved health stats and metrics. I am highly pleased with the VENU 3. In addition to these features, I am finding that the health stats and metrics are accurate, the sleep coach and Garmin Coach is helpful, and was surprised to find that the activities apps graphics are also improved. Finally, the VENU 3 easily integrated with Amazon Music, easily integrated with the Garmin store so I could obtain more watch faces, and has been holding a charge for nine to ten days with average use. Overall, a great investment which enhances daily life from the smartwatch perspective and helps improve health by accurate health metrics.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These are the apps? Spotify can’t stream? These are the face watch options? The apps struggle to get installed by IQ? I knew there was no map but if the apps often fail to install and just work I’m out. The recommended option for an always on face watch has to jump around to prevent burn in? Health features are amazing though. Health features aren’t worth $450+tax though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 4 star for a reason The watch itself is great and I love the new features as a previous Venu 2 owner. The step counter has been quirky for me. Especially starting the day it is notoriously bad at missing lots of steps. I have to usually restart it just to get it to be poor but then as the day goes on it gets better. Don’t expect the “nap” feature to work it doesn’t. Overall it is a good watch with flaws.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Too much like an Apple Watch I purchased this Venu 3 at Best Buy this morning. I thought it would be a good updated replacement for my Garmin Instinct Solar. I liked the looks of the watch, the colorful display, and the larger viewable screen. However, I did not like the reduced number of control buttons and over reliance to touch screen. Also, I was not interested in sending/receiving text messages, calling/receiving calls on the watch, and music on the watch. These are the main reasons I do not want an Apple Watch. Also, I wasn’t sure about battery life compared to my old Instinct Solar. The default watch face was horrible and most of what I saw on the Garmin watch face choices weren’t much better. I understand that third party watch faces are available via Garmin IQ app. However, that seemed to be more effort than I wanted to expend just to set this up. I was having problems with pairing my iPhone. BOTTOM LINE: I returned the watch to factory settings, reboxed it and returned it to Best Buy for refund. I am back on my Garmin Instinct Solar. I’ll probably just keep using it until it quits and then look for an instinct 2 Solar when the third generation comes out and the second generation goes on sale as the first generation version Instinct Solar watches are now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I really want to like this watch, but... I've had this watch for a couple of weeks now and find it's just OK. My biggest problem is getting it to work effectively with Garmin Connect. I'm working my way through the troubleshooting checklist but it's painful. For example, I'm instructed to hold the watch face for a few seconds to get to the setup screen, but setup doesn't appear! Connecting to bluetooth takes such a looooooong time zzzzzz. The buttons on the watch aren't labeled as explained in the trouble shooting guide. It's all very painful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did not like it ! I bought this almost a month ago. I have been using Apple Watch for the last 4 years. Comparing to Apple, I am totally disappointed with Garmin. If there was an option to return the product I am ready to do that. Over all poor quality of buttons. Low battery life, hardly 4 days I am getting. Very low response comparing to Apple. Very poor call quality, speakers are almost not hearable. Totally disappointed. If you bake this review, let me know if I can return this product.

This watch is a beauty, easy to use big enough to read many features, I put my Apple Watch aside it had some very good apps but having to charge it constantly or every 16 hrs just didn’t work for me anymore. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light weight and nice new features I’ve had my new watch for three weeks now and it has made my fitness tracking as well as sleep tracking more insightful. I love the addition of the sleep coach as it helps you understand when you might need to rest a little more as well as this watch finally tracking naps it’s amazing. Of course getting a Garmin the battery is phenomenal. I only wish that eventually Garmin will release an LTE version of the Venu so I don’t have to have my phone with me to or near me to make and answer calls.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This watch is loaded (could use more apps) I lost my Fenix and needed a replacement, so I looked back at Garmin. I didn't need the tactical stuff anymore, however I do like my creature comforts and started needing more health related diagnostic tools. This watch has been amazing for that. Having the speaker on it is awesome for answering calls from the watch. I also got the BP cuff and between the two, there is not a vital I can't collect... except for temp (which I think is an odd feature to leave out.) Also, I would like to see a "my fitness pal" widget and a larger variety of apps. This is a 5 star watch that, unfortunately, lacks some of the basic functionality of most smart watches. If you want an all around amazing health monitor and fitness watch with limited smart features, this is it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Accurate HR, Good Features Purchased the Venu 3 after having issues with a competitor's tracker that failed to accurately register HR during exercise. The Venu 3 reads my HR accurately, is feature rich and has a good app. Just a few complaints so far: (1) Sync is one-way to Apple Health and most other apps/products (Garmin syncs to but not from); this means that readings from connected scales and BP cuffs (other than Garmin brand) as well as other connected exercise machines (e.g., Peloton, Hydrow, etc.) won't sync to Garmin without utilizing certain third party apps, making it difficult to use Garmin Connect as the "one-stop" source of tracking; (2) sleep tracker won't allow adjustment of 8 hour per day recommended sleep amount: people who regularly get/need less than that will always register "poor" or "fair" sleep; (3) Fitness Age relies on BMI (absent consistent body fat percentage which can only be fed by Garmin scale) which is often NOT a reliable indicia of health: for me to achieve a BMI that allows me to reach my lowest achievable Fitness Age would imply a very unhealthy (low) weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An amazing smart watch! Combine the smarts of an Apple Watch with the good looks of a Breitling or fine swiss timepiece and you have the Venu 3. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and outstanding features The Venue 3nis the perfect compliment to my Edge 1040 Solar. Tracks off bike activities and wellness. Got it to assist with altitude acclimation tracking as well as HRV. Great size and I like that it accepts different style bands. Would recommend if this is the niche you're looking to fill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Greatest Fitness Tracker !! I have become more active since I got my Venu 3. Keeps me moving to keep up with the amount of steps and floors each day to meet my goal. The battery is amazing never having to plug it in all the time. It can go for 2 weeks and I never have to worry to charge it. Sleep tracking is great. All health related features are easy to use and a great asset to this fitness equipment. I would hate to be without it now. Highly recommend. This is my first Garmin and hope it's not my last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVING THE UPGRADE Absolutely love this watch! Upgraded from the Lily and OH WOW!!! This is my 4th Garmin and I love how they keep upgrading and add to all of the metrics. I love the body battery, the HRV, the ease to use, everything! I am slowly getting back in to fitness and this is a great transition watch for that!! all the activities and tracking are perfect!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely Watch I bought the watch a month ago and a have liked the features so far. The watch is lightweight, has a colourful display and the battery lasts more than a week. The apps are intuitive and easy to use. The one drawback I noticed is that the emails received are quite untidy in their format. I had a Fitbit earlier and in that the format of emails was crisp and neat. I hope Garmin improves on this aspect. Also incoming WhatsApp calls sometimes are audible only on the watch and NOT on my OnePlus 10 pro phone. Otherwise a lovely Watch and I'm enjoying it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great watch with excellent features. This is my third Garmin watch and the best yet. I do not need a hard core watch like a Fenix as I have an Edge 840 for tracking my cycling. But I do like a Garmin watch for track other activities and for tracking health metrics. My previous watch was a Forerunner 945. The Venu 3 was attractive to me because it's upped the ante by adding more features (temp sensor, enhanced HRV tracking, ECG app, etc.). It was very easy to adjust to the new watch especially due to the touch screen. The new AMOLED screen is BEAUTIFUL!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Accurate with a brilliant display I have had my watch for about 3 weeks. The sensors on this watch seem to be accurate from the step count to the ECG. The screen is sharp and the watch faces are data rich. I highly recommend this watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice upgrade from Vivoactive 4 My Vivo 4 still works great but I couldn’t resist trying the Venu 3. I’m glad I did bc the battery life, screen, and music features are MUCH better. I’m still waiting for wireless charging though. I HATE the finicky Garmin charging cords.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Venu 3 Primarily purchased this for heart rate feature. Also purchased the HRM Pro Plus Strap as I wanted the best accuracy during exercise and ability to sync the watch with a strap was important. So far, one or both are a bit below my expectations as at times there are discrepancies between the strap and the watch. High/Low Heart Rate Alerts don't seem to work. In walking, the accuracy of the steps/miles is way off showing under 4 miles when I have walked 5. Have tried to adjust stride length but apparently has no effect. Strap easily syncs with stationary bike at the gym but watch app does not show distance or speed for this activity. I did download a watch face from the IQ app as the stock watch faces all have small icons/font size for heart rate and hard to see at a quick glance. Watch itself is a bit large, 43 mm would likely be a better size. Have reached out to Support a few times with questions and they have been helpful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seems pretty accurate! I’ve had this watch for about 3 weeks now, and while that’s not an extended period of time-so far it’s really impressed how accurate it seems to be. I’ve had several fitness watches, but this one really seems to be in tune with my body’s needs before and after workouts-as well as accurately tracking my workout. I love the sleep score and body battery feature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Tracker I've had my Venu 3 for about 2 weeks and really enjoying it. It has great meterics and is surprisingly light and comfortable to wear while sleeping (a problem for other watches I've owned). Worth the $ !!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fitness watch, and smart enough I used it for 3 weeks and I am very happy with it. For health and fitness it helps you understand how your behavior affects you. But in a good way. Very dynamic and precise. Loads and resources vary during day. Sleep and rest too. Now I even register my hydration, because they made it easy. I had a macho Suunto 7 before, don't miss it. And I am happy I didn't go for the smart Samsung. I found the Venu 3 by luck. And the battery. Hijole. Problem is it lasts too long jajaja

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good but lacking features I have had the Venue3 for a couple of weeks now. For the price, this watch should have better working intermittent fasting app. Also, would be helpful to have better customizable watch layouts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only upside is battery life. Lock screen dosnt disable touch so it wastes battery displaying a lock when wearing long sleeves. Ringer dosnt work for incoming calls and support is no help at all. Less than a year old and speaker sounds like garbage

Rated 5 out of 5 by from lots of good info with good battery life I wanted a do-it-all watch to that could function like my Fitbit Charge 5 as well as my Garmin Approach S42. The smartwatch functionality is great for my needs and I didn't want an Apple/Pixel watch that I had to charge every day. The quoted 14 day battery life is probably a bit optimistic, but if I could get a week as I do with my Fitbit, I'd be happy. This is probably 10 days and that's enough for me. It provides much more info than the Fitbit does with no subscription required, and the golf functionality is as good as the S42 (minus having to download courses). Overall I'm extremely happy with this watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features I love all the features available on the watch. It’s my first Garmin watch as I previously used Polar and Apple Watch to track my activities. Both watches allowed me to see messages and pause activities. The Garmin watch allows me to see my text message at the expense that I have to disable privacy settings. Hopefully this can be fixed in the future.
