Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT QUALITY!!! Brother's Toner 760 DOES yield 3k pages. If your dpi is set to 1200, of course, you use more toner. If you use "normal" and not "best" you use less toner also. Well worth the money. The competitor whose initials are HP, lol, has issues with the printer alone. I switched to a Brother printer over 15 years ago and have been very happy with it. BTW, this is my second muylti-function printer.

As soon as I installed the replacement cartridge, I got a low toner indication. I called customer service and after an hour on hold, sending photos of cartridge and serial #, was told the cartridge was not a true Brother toner cartridge and it was manufactured by some one else. I'm sitting there looking at my Brother account on line and see the order # . The shipping box had the Brother return address in Tennessee! finally after two more calls I get someone who tells me it is an erroneous printer error and walks me through the steps to reset the printer to accept the cartridge. Spent near three hours trying to get the issue resolved.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great printer This is a little workhorse. I use it everyday for large quantity documents and It has never failed. The last 3000-page toner cartridge lasted me 2700 pages. I am happy with that result because the documents I point are on the heavy-ink side. The people who write back reviews are the ones who think this little guy should perform like an elephant office copier. It well worth the investment.I would not get through my semesters without it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from so frustrating I like this printer. But the cartridges do not yield the amount they claim. Yes, yes, "yields are based on ISO standard testing, blabla". Ultimately I have never once gotten even close to the number of pages they claim. And the customer service is ridiculous. This chat thing. I've had a good experience and once experience where it was just like they didn't even know what kind of printer I had!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Planned obsolescence Used for office, then delegated to very occasional home printing. Will be replacing with something else. Would like to be able to keep printing until the cartridge is actually out of toner, rather than when the printer decides you need to spend more money on toner. One would think that there would be even a slight degradation in print quality if it's actually out of toner. Yes, read all the copy and paste responses, 3000 pages is based on "ISO print standards", which I assume means printing the letters "ISO" in 8 pt font once per page. Doubt I will get a different response.

I tossed my Epson inkjet as in 3 years, I have only printed a couple dozen pages and was always clogged when so infrequently used. Hope this laser is always going to work. I will probably use it more because I hope I don't have to fight to use it.

It doesn't seem to age out over time, but works well from beginning to end. Also it was easy to install the replacement cartridge, which had been on my study shelf for all of that time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 300 is not 4,500 I just bought an MFC l2750dw from Amazon with a TN760 already installed in the tray. I had it a week and printed about 300 single-sided, normal text (packing slips) and had to replace this toner. The machine wouldn't even let me bypass the message. I took it out, shook it like the support says, but to no avail. I put in the replacement that came with the printer. It's supposed to be a TN770. We'll see how this one goes. I would say that by any standards, 300 pages from what was advertised as 4,500 pages is much less. Put all the caveats together and I should still get more than 300 pages. Edit: Now the packing slips I printed are smearing when we fold them. It's either this toner or the machine itself. Very disappointing experience.

I haven't' even gotten through one 500 pack of paper and my machine is telling me my ink is low!! I only print in black and white with no solid spaces, just typing. What does one have to do to actually get the ink jet to print as many sheets as you say it will?

I bought a full cartridge as usually the one with the printer doesn't print very many. I put this one in new and it printed less than 1000 pages. Maddening. And a waste of my money

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Toner settings not OK I have been using this toner for 3 years now. For the first 2 years I complained about the toner not lasting as long as it should. Technical support told me it was because my coverage was higher than average. The 3rd time I complained I was told there is a setting I can change in my printer settings that allows the toner to keep going despite the "degradation" of the quality. I printed for MONTHS longer than usual with this setting turned on. SHAME ON BROTHER for not telling me that the first 2 times I complained. This was a huge waste of $ and toner. This setting should NOT be standard!!!!

My new printer cartridge has been installed for less than a month and it's already warning of low toner. To say that I'm disappointed would be a vast understatement. I've lost my faith in this company.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible toner situation I could only print 3 tax returns with a new toner cartridge. It's not color, it's not photographs. It's just a tax return. The printer stops printing even though the print quality is fine. All these reviews get Brother comments saying bla bla bla ISO quality bla bla bla. They clearly don't listen to customers who are saying that we don't want the printer to stop working when the quality is 100%. What a waste of money. A new cartridge is $100 and it prints 3 tax returns! I could have printed these cheaper at Staples.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the perfect "at-home" B&W ink cartridge These replacement ink cartridges are fine. I'd say they're moderately easy to install, once you realize which door on your machine to open. I like them because I'm an average user of my home copying machine. I neither run a business from home, nor am I a luddite. Like may people, I simply need "one-off" photocopies from time to time. In addition, there are between two and four times a year when I need many copies all at once. As an amateur musician, I'd say three to four times in a year, I need to photocopy and print significant amounts of sheet music (yes, I pay the copyright holder). And let's not forget the copies needed at tax time. The thing about these cartridges is that they contain a great deal of ink. Despite my "heavy use three or four times a year, I generally have to replace the cartridge only once a year at most. They never last for two years, so I'd say the average is about a replacement cartridge every 15-18 months. They are always at the ready, even after a long period of no photocopying at all, the very first page printed is a good as any of the pages throughout the run. That's a type of technical feat that had to be difficult for the engineers and scientists at Brother to figure out, and for which I'm very grateful, as the casual user of printing services in-home.

I ordered this high yield one and put it in--no problem. It worked right away without having to do any settings on the screen. Wish the price was more reasonable.

The significant drawback is that I don't think I have printed 3000 pages per toner cartridge and most of my printing is written word that does not consume as much ink per page as, say, graphics or images would. If I were being asked to rate my Brother Printer I would give it 5*****.

Purchased the printer because the toner was less expensive than other name brand printers but TN760 high yield toner does not last for 3000 pages and I had to choose a darker print option on the printer to even see the print on the page. Cannot recommend
