Washed out pages
The ink prints too light. I have had other Brother printers in the past, and the quality of the printer page was much darker and crisper. The current pages look washed out. I have a Brother laser printer and it is now my default printer. I have put the new black and color cartridges in the printer and it doesn't make any difference. I am very disappointed with the printer. The only thing I use it for is to print envelopes. It seems to print them darker than any letter size pages.

Less than 50 pages
I never get more than 50 pages out of these XL ink cartridges. I print recipes, receipts, airline tickets, etc. The print quality is good, but out of the last 5 cartridges I've used, they don't last and I consider them so bad that I'll never buy another brother product. I actually weighed the new vs empty ink cartridge and there was only 8 grams difference. The marketing is nothing close to the truth. Avoid.

Great ink and printer
The ink is easy to load and lasts a while. I like that the printer notifies me when a cartridge is low. Makes reorders easier.

Had a Brother for 2 months...it said yellow was out of ink...replaced yellow ink...no change... can't use printer at all...not happy

Why is so difficult to purchase ink, if I would have known this I would’ve purchased a different printer

Printing bocked by one low cartridge.
I run very few copies, cartridges seem to run out well before the stated capacity. Intensely dislike the idea that a low ink color cartridge blocks the ability to run a black an.d white copy. Prices are out of line for what you get.
