Rated 5 out of 5 by from ReliabilityMy Brother Laser printer is much more practical and reliable for my use than my previous injet printers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast and easy to useI love the ability to do all in one machine. Copy, to the computer or to paper. Scan and print or directly to printer or email. I would only change the ability to scan only one side at a time with the auto feeder. It would make things even faster if it did double sided.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pros and ConsPro: (1) Very fast printing for the price (2) three-in-one capabilityCon: (1) took hours to install because of poorly worded and incomplete installation instructions and confusing messages on display screen (I was able to install an HP printer on another computer in 15 minutes) (2) controls not intuitive - after a month I still have to check manual to determine how to perform some functions (3) manual has gaps in information - uses terminology that is not defined (4) was unable to get cable connection to work and forced to go to wireless connection, but must leave unit on 24/7 because when I turn it off I need to rerun entire install procedure in order to reconnect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mostly good, could use improvementPrinter: Print quality and speed are good. Auto-duplex works well. Draws quite a bit of power, makes my lights flicker. A bit noisy but tolerable. The biggest complaint I have is that it shuts itself off on wireless network and won't wake up for print. I have to relocate it and hook up a wire to my router. Then everything works as it should.Scanner: Works excellently. Set up the scan parameters at the computer, then feed the document, done!Copier: Hasn't tried the ID copy function, but bravo for Brother thinking about this. Normal copy works fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid MachineI bought this to replace an old Brother MFC machine that has a fax on it and was getting very tired. I no longer use faxes so I was ready for a new machine. This one is a little noisier but scans faster and I like the auto off feature

Rated 5 out of 5 by from bad qualityIt does not keep contacted like it should to computer. It has very poor quality for scanning. I would not recommend it at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My user experience with the DCP-L2540DWFairly solid machine for what it does. Mine is for home use. Don't need color and was tired of dealing with ink-jet ink. I use this one for copying, printing PDF and DOC files, screen prints, letters, minutes from Elks Lodge meetings, etc. I really like the double side print cabability. I use it almost daily, but lightly. Documents are clear and just as I expected. Only problem I have is that the machine has difficulty connecting to my Wi-Fi. To be fair, there are many walls between the printer and the router. Currently using printer cable, but will be hard-wiring eithernet cable to resolve. All-in all, I like the printer and am glad for the purchase. Don't know how it would perform under heavy use, but for me it is Great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love itI love this printer. It has saved me so much time, and using a high yield toner, so much money. The only thing is, we've had it for a short while and randomly when I go to make copies it makes a weird loud/ high pitched noise.. And won't proceed with the copy... Not sure why. It stops shortly after canceling the copy and then I can resume as normal. It still prints wonderfully, dunno what the deal is. But I still love it, and so glad we made the purchase.P.s. We use this quite often... We homeschool so I print and or copy alot!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Laser Printer at SOHO PriceI use this printer in my real estate business, and the automatic document feeder is great. I've already loaded 28-page appraisals and the output to PDF is fantastic. Good alignment, not skewed. Consumables are reasonable, and the print quality is great. This replaced my old Brother laser printer (which still works, but didn't have two-sided and wireless printing - two reasons I upgraded.)
