Good buy
I recently installed this after having purchased it serveral months ago. I highly recommend using verions 5.0 of the ip configuration wizard and also upgrading the firmware to version 5.1.7. I did have some minor troubles configuring everything but after the upgrades I was able to see and set environmental temperature thresholds. Also after the firmware upgrade I was not able to see the UPS any longer. It turned out that I needed to unplugged the USB cable from the UPS that was connected to the local computer. So far so good.

I have 6 of the AP9631 and there is no way to set/see what the current temperature is or set thresholds.

Great product
This is a great board with excellent features, allowing you to control everything remotely. Exactly what i needed. i havent used any sensors yet, and likely wont. i could have gotten the cheaper version. But it is still a great product

Added Security Perk
If you set up email alerts, any attempt at network port scanning sets off a barrage of email alerts when the scanner hits the device. We call them our little "canaries in the coal mine." We always tell our yearly auditors we seem them scanning us and they haven't quite figured out how we know. ;-)

As another poster mentioned, it works and I also use it to backup my primary environmental monitor as well. No complaints and when both units probes are in the same location both report the same temperature, so accuracy is good as well.

This card us packed to the gills with features and is effective and a great addition to any compatible ups.
It's quite expensive though and should probably be cheaper and/or built into a lot of models where it isn't.

It works! I use this as a backup to my primary environmental monitoring. I use the management card to manage the UPS obviously, but the temperature sensor was a nice bonus

A NMC is extremely important for any APC server UPS, you get so much more utility from them. The 9631 adds environmental which kicks it up yet another notch. Very well worth having, and worth adding an extra probe for humidity as well.

We have 1 installed in our 10KVA UPS which already came with an environmental probe.
Now showing 2 probes and with the extended probe length you can go anywhere you want to measure.
Internal FTP server of this management card will falls trigger security warnings when checked for it.
