Easy as can be and environmentally friendly
I own two APC UPS units. Before these, I found it cheaper to throw out the unit and buy a new one than to replace the battery. After several years, one of the batteries was in need of replacement. THIS time, I ordered the replacement battery from Schneider Electric. The price was far cheaper than buying a whole new unit, the battery took minutes to replace, and a prepaid box was sent to return the spent battery; all I had to do was drop it off at the UPS store. Can't get any better than that. I've had the new battery for 2 years and it's still going strong.

Good Value, Easy to Understand Instructions
My older model APC ES450 needed a new battery, and APC's 3-party sellers stocked one. While removing the connector wire proved slightly more difficult at first (the clamp had been crimped to the battery connector post) the connector wire was eventually removed and the new battery installed. The APC UPS device now works much better and doesn't short out as frequently as it did with the old battery.

Surge Outlet Question
Morning//
I Did install the Battery and it works fine..
My only question is,as I'm not sure,isn't there suppose to be power on the Surge Outlets? I have none. I have my home stereo equipment plugged into the unit..
I'd like to have them plugged into the Surge outlets,just in case. Thank You For Your Help and Timely Response.

I bought this a month ago when the battery died (I unfortunately did not notice the low battery flashing light indicator). The replacement battery arrived very promptly, was easy to install, and my backup is operational again — and just in time because a tornado hit here a few days later and I lost power for 8 hours.

Replacement Battery PN4001
It's always a bonus to receive genuine replacement parts. However, it would have been nice to have received a near fully charged battery or a notice that it needed to be charged. It initially appeared to be a useless battery when I installed it in my APC unit... dead. Glad it recharged.

I needed a new battery for my APC battery backup product. My old battery did not have the model number any place I could find. Nevertheless I went online to APC by Schneider Electric. Their search system made finding the correct battery easy. The order arrived with in a week. The new battery was a perfect replacement. APC by Schneider Electric even allowed me to return the old battery for recycling free of shipping. I am a happy customer.
