Rated 5 out of 5 byosudk3323sdk0 from what an upgrade!Suits my need perfectly. I updated from a surge protection only device. I running an I Mac 27 with El Capitan 10.11.5, Nighthawk AC1900 router/modem, WD EX2100 NAS, HP OfficeJet 8630 Pro and a LiftMaster internet connection kit. This leaves one free slot which I use for video conversions. As stated by others the suggested software doesn't work with my Mac. Following the advice of others I attached the data cable to the Mac, went to system preferences -Energy Savings and the UPS panel shows up. I set mine to display at the top of my screen so I'm aware of battery percentage at all time. We've had two extended blackouts. The unit performed as expected no issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 byRickR from Excellent UPS - easy setupI have used APC UPS equipment for years. Like the ones I've owned in the past, this unit is well worth the price. It works as advertised, and it was very easy to set up. I just had to hook up the battery, plug the unit into the wall socket, and plug my equipment into it.Since I bought this unit, I have had several power outages and fluctuations due to storms, etc. It has protected my equipment flawlessly. I would recommend this or other APC units to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 byGrossSeed from Seldom appreciated ALWAYS got our backMany may think the cost of owning a battery backup/ surge protection devise is out of bounds for the little black box that sits hidden under your desk. I say these people just do not appreciate what the cost of recreating all the data you lose when an unexpected power event happens OR the replacement cost of equipment. As a business that sits in a rural part of the country and on the end of the power grid line we experience random surges and outages even when the weather outside is crystal clear. There is NO TIME to see the storm coming and save your work and log out properly. We have saved thousands of dollars annually on surge protected computers, monitors, printers and various other peripheral devises. Not to mention the cost per hour of recreating a days worth of work.

Rated 5 out of 5 byesstek from About as much Performance as you can Get!... in a small, tower style Back-UPS unit. Lower distortion SINEWAVE output wave purity (with low harmonic levels) ensures the highest level of compatibility with other devices. 900Watts / 1.5 kVA output power is about as much as you can extract from residential 15A branch circuits. This is a nice, high performance UPS for smaller computing configurations.
