Product Overview

Main Features
  • 6 slot 6,000VA Double conversion UPS hardwired in and out with shutdown software
Reliable on-line, high frequency double conversion power protection that's scalable for midrange IT applications

9170+ protects against spikes, sags, surges, noise, lightning, and power outages, with revolutionary technology (10 patents pending) exclusive to the 9170+.

9170+ is a high-frequency, transformerless UPS with standard on-line operational modes of on-battery, double-conversion, and fault bypass, as well as a high-efficiency/power-saver mode, which offers additional savings.

9170+ adapts to changing IT environments by being scalable. Similar to disc storage hardware, 9170+'s built-in expansion slots accommodate additional power and battery modules.

To tailor your power protection to fit your unique application, 9170+ offers many internal and external options. Internal options include Galvanic Isolation, Line Cord, and Receptacles. External options include Rackmount Kit, Casters (standard on 9- & 12-slot), Extended Runtime Battery Cabinets/8+ hours, Wall-mounted Maintenance Bypass Cabinets, and Seismic Zone 4 Anchoring Kits.

Like network hubs, 9170+ modular N+X power and logic redundancy gives it the highest level of reliability now and down the road, reducing the chance of single-point failure.

9170+ features two BestDockā„¢ Communication Slots, which accept a variety of connectivity option cards for power management, including a BestLinkā„¢ SNMP/WEB Adapter.

Two-year limited warranty against factory or workmanship defects; plus our "Double Lifetime" limited warranty to factory-repair UPS damage from lightning strikes, and covers up to US$25,000 for damage to connected equipment resulting from a spike or surge.

Each UPS (PW6S63K) consists of the following parts.

(1) 0650C060AAAAAAAP 6 slot enclosure

(2) ASY-0567 power modules

(4) ASY-0529 battery modules

(1) ASY-0527 Caster Kit
55 Keeps the juice flowing day and night. Monitoring and shut down. Had one in our datacenter for 10 years and just keeps chugging along. August 7, 2015
55 The 9170 has brought much needed stability to our power infrastructure. We have ours currently configured at 12Kw. I recommend that if you are implementing any enterprise UPS, be thoughtful about how you configure the device with regards to power hook ups. We purchased a configuration which had NEMA 20's already hardwired into the back of the power distribution panel. It took minutes to hook up and operationalize, however we learned that we could not have a "by-pass switch" wired into the UPS. Therefore any maintenance which needs to be performed on the unit must be done while the unit is not under load. If we purchased the separate power distribution panel and hardwired the device into it, we could have added a bypass switch which would have allowed the UPS to be bypassed during maintenance. Also be mindful of the power balance. There is an A circuit and a B circuit. Make sure you have an even load across both to avoid issues. Our vendor recommended no more than a 15% variance between the two. July 17, 2012
55 Installed this unit in January. So far so good. The only downside for me is that Spiceworks thinks the UPS is old and needs to be replaced. For some reason it thinks it is a failing device. Other than that the utilities are good and we should get some good power out of it. I like the power manager software as well. May 14, 2012
