HP Client Automation (HPCA) Enterprise software helps significantly reduce operational costs and improve the quality of service you deliver. It automates many routine tasks in managing the client environment, across the client lifecycle.

HPCA Enterprise delivers these capabilities from a single console for physical and virtual clients with a common toolset and process. It supports traditional desktop and notebook PCs as well as thin clients, server-based computing and virtual desktop infrastructures.

This software transforms how your clients are managed by using a desired-state management model defined by your IT organization. IT defines how it wants client images to look through a set of policies. These can depend on the type of device and user, home location of the user, or other parameters. Agents on client devices proactively synchronize and manage to that defined state on an ongoing basis.

This delivers compliance with image standards and a reduction in the amount of effort needed to manage the environment. HP customers in industries such as pharmaceuticals and financial services have seen client administrative cost savings of up to 90%.

HPCA Enterprise also integrates security and compliance management. It scans client devices across the environment for PC security vulnerabilities, regulatory and corporate compliance, and security tool status. Results are summarized in simple dashboards and reports that allow you to identify and focus on the highest priority areas.

HPCA helps support Green IT initiatives by controlling power consumption in the client environment. It automatically powers down desktops at the end of the workday and controls PC power settings.
