Rated 1 out of 5 by from no instructions wrong screws there were no instructions on which set of screw holes to use. the side screw holes of the ssd drive don't match the side holes in the bracket the screws provided don't match the bottom screw holes fortunately I had some screws that worked I also bought a Crucial MX300 525GB

Rated 1 out of 5 by from does not fit The tray is not long enough. Standard 3.5 in HDD have mounting holes 4 in. apart. The tray is only about 4 in. long and the holes don't match any holes in the plastic sleds or side bars used to hold 3.5 in. disks in desktop or tower systems. Not sure what form factor this is designed for.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from SSD mounting bracket Bracket width was great, but it wsa too short to fit properly in my 24 " iMac 7.1.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bracket does NOT fit mid-2007 iMac 7,1 I purchased this expansion bracket based on the Crucial recommendation that it was neccessary for my new SSD that I installed in a Mid-2007 iMac 7,1. Unfortunately this bracket is NOT compatible with that iMac chassis. You need a full size bracket that is the same width _and length_ as a 3.5" drive. The iMac mounting hardware. I was able to rig it to work with this bracket, but I cannot recommend a totally incorrect fit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bracket is an economical solution, but.. I mounted this bracket in a Dell XPS 8900 desktop computer. I was only able to mount the bracket to the Dell hard drive housing using two screws to the front of the bracket. I was able to snug the screws tight enough so the bracket held well in the hard drive housing. I used a piece of electrical tape on each side of the rear of the bracket to provide more support. I'm not sure if the tape was required, but it does provide a bit more support. Since the bracket was installed in a desktop computer that does not get moved, I'm not concerned. I would have liked to use two screws in each the front and rear of the bracket, but as previously stated the rear holes did not match. All in all, I think this bracket serves its purpose quite well.
