Product Reviews
Webroot SecureAnywhere Business - Endpoint Protection - subscription licens is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 50.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unmatched Protection Webroot has grown from software that I once considered bloatware from a big box store to the gold standard in antivirus / malware protection. They have developed game changing technology that keeps malicious software from doing real damage to a network. I consider them the first line of defense in a comprehensive package that comprises the security offering to my managed services clients. I regularly brag to them and often reassure them that Webroot has them covered against the latest threats before they are even created.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thanks, from a small business owner Our setup is 3 stores with about 30 users. We are not large enough to have an IT department so I'm it. Our previous deployment was pretty much a mix. Some PC's with Avast free, AVG free, windows defender, some with Kaspersky licenses, and some with nothing, including 1 server. i get the usual calls from staff saying "I have a popup that says I'm out of date, what do i do" which i always reply just ignore but 2 years will pass or more with out action. It;s hard to drive from store to store to maintain them with my normal job duties. Webroot took me time to do the initial install but I am now worry free of messages telling my staff to update nor do I have to physically be on site to attend to them. I have my web portal to see any issues or run override scans and keep my licensing all in 1 place. Also, with Kaspersky I could never remote desktop into a user to fix other software issues unless it was disabled on site. Kaspersky is a great product but held me back from a couple of things I needed to do and I wasn't tech savvy enough to configure it. I tried to allow it but failed. I have not had any issues with Webroot preventing me from doing normal operations. The scans are blazing fast. I like the ability for users to not be able to access the local interface, its pretty much on auto pilot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Job Easy to install and fast to install. I see no performance degradation at all on my system. It is like I do not have a virus protection on the system. It is that smooth.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not work well with anything Apple. Not worth what I'm spending The mobile device security has failed me twice when I needed it most. User's devices were stolen and we could not remote wipe or locate, thus causing me to lose a customer. Additionally, users are able to disable the software on both iOS and Mac OS X, thus negating the purpose of even having the software. The mobile protection loses connectivity after a couple days and I eventually have to pay a tech to go out to the field and try and resync the software, costing me more money. I paid for the 1 year service up front, but stopped using most of it well in advance since I know they won't refund the product. It does work great on Windows to be fair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Webroot is the Truth! I've been using Webroot Secure Anywhere Business Endpoint to assist with securing customers systems, and I must say I'm very impressed. From the standpoint of managing systems itself to running and operations of Webroot on the endpoint. From the management side of things, it allows for quick deployment and configuration of endpoints that can be placed at different sites. Different policies can be set per site, per endpoint or globally across all devices. Giving me granular control over varying environments. The Dashboard is okay, the reporting system is handy and can be set for schedule or demand. I had no need to add any other admins to assist with management but the option is present. The general interface is not too attractive in my opinion but that is secondary. On the endpoint side of things, the agent and operation of Webroot are minimal, so much so customers wouldn't even notice that it's running. The scan times are quick saving time on jobs and I love the fact that the need to download virus definitions are eliminated. The last thing I would add is the cost, the solution doesn't need any server on site, it a very cost effective and time saver solution.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value There are many internet security products out there, but after using some popular products, I was introduced to Webroot. I had the opportunity to test it for a month, before deciding that this was for me and my organization. The installation file is small enough that I don't have to worry if internet speed is good enough for downloading. In term of protection, there is not much complain because it runs silently in the background and admin users can tweak it further.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mixed Results to Date We've been using Webroot for a few months now. We tested it for almost 30 days before purchasing and had only minor issues that Webroot support was able to quickly address. The problem is that Webroot is more difficult to configure to completely ignore some directories and processes. Our ERP software has issues if there files are scanned each time we write to them. So, I built some Exclude rules in Webroot for those specific directories. However, this caused issues too because Webroot apparently writes a log record each time one of those files is accessed and written to that states it was read and ignored because it is on an exclude rule. This logging was so intense it was causing long pauses for all our ERP users. I'm still working on this issue with Webroot support, but no great breakthroughs yet. The odd thing is that we didn't see these problems during our 30 day trial. So, depending on your use case, Webroot may be great. Ours has just had some extra hiccups.
