Product Reviews
Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 79reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Happy for the first 7 months, then... I bought this router in March of this year and it worked great. My ISP recently movedLast March my ISP upped my internet speeds from 30/5 to 200/20 as part pf their expansion at no extra cost. So, I upgraded my modem to an Arris SB6190 and the Linksys AC1600 router and the speeds, quality and networking were awesome. The WiFi was incredible even in another room. But we recently moved about 10 miles from our apt to a new place, which is also much newer. We were able to keep the same ISP and the speeds. After getting many things settled, we now have our modem and router set-up hardwired to our new LG Smart 4K TV and our Roku box, with everything else on WiFi. We had our WiFi capable PC placed in another room about 20ft from the router. Though there is a wall between the two devices, I would constantly lose connectability, constantly re-positioning my PC so I could connect again. This just became very frustrating when browsing especially doing financial transactions. After changing settings, adopting channels that others in our condo building were not using, it just didn't work. Even my download speeds on my WiFi devices, would not get the advertise speeds directly around the router itself, as they were getting around 1/5 of that on Wifi. I could only get the advertised speeds if I hardwired my PC to the router.I am very PC savvy (I build my own and do my own networking) and tried everything without having to get an WiFI extender. So, I went out and bought a Linksys Max-Stream AC1900 to see if this worked, and if it did not, then I would return it for an extender. Well, it worked perfectly, in fact, on my S7 Edge phone, in the room where I have my PC, I can download and upload at 200/20 advertised speeds, and that is with a wall between the router and the phone. So, the device just doesn't give out good signals anymore. I can no longer return the device because Walmart has a 90-day return policy of hardware devices.Perhaps the device went bad after being re-set-up in my new location, but I was very disappointed since really that is the router that supports the needs I have. I could have tried the same model purchased new, but I didn’t want to waste time if I got the same results. Anyway, at this point, I am disappointed with the AC1600 since it is only 8 months old, or perhaps it has more WiFi limitations than not listed. In the end, Linksys is getting money for two devices in one year. November 24, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by works ok Seems to be working ok. Was a bit harder to get up and running with all our devices, but I got it figured out. Pairing with an extender was also not as easy as I would have liked, but again, I figured it out. October 31, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by EA6400 Connectivity I bought this unit in July 2016 and during the past 10 days, October 2016, it has lost connectivity each day. I have to keep resetting the router. I tried returning this morning to WalMart and it was out of their warranty. I pay $$ for something I expect it to last more than 90 days. October 22, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Quality worth the price overall quality is great with this router. I especially like the options to set priorities and also to have control of individual devices for log in times or access times. Especially with Teenagers and smaller children to limit their wifi internet access. September 9, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by LOVE CISCO BUT WONDERING ABOUT THIS ROUTER I have had to reset my motem twice and reinstall my printer twice..not too sure about this particular router. One had before was great, with no problems August 5, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good router We have had this router for a few weeks and it seems to be adequate for our needs. July 3, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by High end router, low end performance. I bought this router about a month ago,but it goes off line one to two times every night. Thought this would be a nice upgrade, but my old wrtg54 was very reliable and I may hook that one back up. June 7, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by good upgrade to a 10 year old router I bought this with the wireless AC mini USB adapter. The router is a step better than what I had, but the USB adapter doesn't work. Tried it with 3 different computers. Not the best performance. June 1, 2016
