Product Reviews
Epson Perfection V600 Photo Scanner ($229.99-$10 savings=$219.99,Ends 3/31) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 930.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Buy a v850 I bought this scanner when my i900 died. It was a good general purpose scanner for medium quality. I needed to scan B&W pictures and the v600 did not have the necessary detail in the shadow area, which is the black in black and white. I returned it and bought a v850. Worth the difference in price. Excellent scans in B&W as well as high dpi color. Very happy with this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Scanner looks good, wrong software My printer was advertised as containing Epson's easy photo fix & Adobe Photoshop software. That is the software that I desired. Instead is has Arcsoft photostudio, and Easy Photo scan. What can be done about that?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from What could be better... When scanning 35mm slides, it is hard to pick them up off the glass afterward without getting fingerprints on the glass. It would be better if they could be loaded into the holder before inserting it, and removed from the holder rather than lifted off the glass.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job on Medium Format film This product does the job for me under the following situations. Scanning 6x9 color and b&w negatives in conjunction with Photoshop. The film holder does not support 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 sheet film. You will have to find a work around that suits your needs. The software works but could be improved. For the price I love the product it brings my 45 year old images to life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Same Great Features After years of service my old Epson scanner was having trouble connecting to my computer. As I use it every day I couldn't have break down on me. I'm sold on Epson so I went looking for a new one. "More features than before, new and improved, higher resolution, etc, etc, etc." When I plugged it in and started using it . . . whats this? It has the same screen controls as my old one. Checking all the new wonderful features I came to the realization that the V600 was the same as the V500 that I have had for years. Same resolution, same color controls, etc. etc. But the new one is in an entirely new cabinet. It's black instead of gray. I'm I mad? No! This new one is far better looking that the old one. It's black and matches all my other computer equipment. Isn't that what's important. I keep telling myself that . . . and the trouble connecting to my computer, bad Cable. My son is using the V500 in his business now.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 110 and 126 negatives are a problem Used to scan 35 mm and photos. The scanner works great. Major issue is that the mask or negative tray is not available. Very DISAPPOINTED!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Haven't made a single scan, 40 hours trying to make it work Let me save you time, where no technical trouble-shooting page on Epson's site will do so for you . . .I bought this Epson V600 last week -- and it arrived 4 days ago.My home computers are a MacBook Pro Retina running Sierra, and a Mac Mini running El Capitan.MacBook Pro laptops no longer come with disc drives. Therefore, customers like myself are forced to download the driver from Epson's site. Here's the site: http://esupport.epson-europe.com/ProductHome.aspx?lng=en-IE&data=ntiBNCy6p2WGlrfTPm4LnsnypDhQR26j&tc=6Doesn't work!Trust me. No matter how many times you run it, this software install fails to run the scanner.I almost returned the scanner, and I still may do so.Luckily, the Mac Mini has a disc drive. The old-fashioned CD that came in the box actually invites a product registration. The download of the driver from Epson's own site does not. I am just finishing the registration process, and the marketing and community management geniuses invited me to post a review. Here is my review. Let's see if I can scan a single slide. I may still return this machine. It *is* cheap. And you get what you pay for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 35mm slides and film transfer to my computer I purchased this scanner for Christmas for myself so I could start transferring slides and film negatives to my computer. My computer has Windows 10 so I had to download the driver update. I am still working on slides and I probably will be for some time as there are a lot slides for me to work on. I have not attempted any negatives yet but I am sure that they will transfer as well as the slides I have done so far. The process of slide transfer is time consuming but well worth the effort so far. I am more than pleased with the scanners ability to download the slides and with the software to edit the slides after the download is complete.
