D-Link Wireless AC DWA-171 - network adapter is rated 2.2 out of 5 by 9.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very reliable This unit is used on my main Internet PC and it works well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from the adapter works great- but NOT with dlink interface We got a dual channel router after the HDTV streaming content sucked all the bandwidth (and there was no way to get an Ethernet line to it) so I needed the dual channel to prevent the WiFi connection from being affected. I ended up getting the DLINK ac1200 (the router is a DLINK ac1200 Gigabit Cloud Router). At first, I was disappointed, but after changing from the DLINK interface to the Intel built-in Wireless manager, it connected instantly. My speed increased dramatically!! I am pleased and would recommend the product- but suggest installing the drivers only and using different software to manage the connection.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money Nothing streams or downloads, slow internet searching, It took me a while to determine nothing wrong with my internet service or computer. It is this DWA-171 sub par device.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from faster internet connection and no more fighting over bandwidth with streaming HD movies Improved my connection and speed, downloads are lightning fast, streaming is improved noticeably, and bandwidth is no longer a competition between devices in the house!! (Previously, when my family would stream a movie over HDTV- it slowed my internet to barely a crawl and constantly dropped-- It is no longer a problem with dual channels as the TV can stream the movie over one channel while I access the internet on my computer.Only problems are: the GUI/connection utility is terrible- I don't use it, but it would be nice to have something to configure it with and explain the settings better (the advanced properties that have several different options related to the antennae, VHT Tx Rx... ldcp & stbc caps, QoS... anything to improve connections. This adapter has definitely made my internet loading and streaming faster and gotten rid of multiple devices fighting over bandwidth in my house.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor wifi quality Rate is worst than a 802.11n, worst product i ever bought
Date published: 2014-03-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by from unreliable driver - looses conection When it works it is good. But unreliable.. looses connection (not out of range of WiFi) and needs manual reconnect. This is no acceptable...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a simple, push button set up I bought this thinking I could plug this into my LG TV and use my wireless signal, which is what the TV manual instructed. Nope. Easy push button set up means "load a current driver onto a Windows machine, then push the button." Nowhere on the box is there listed a minimum requirement for Windows.
