Product Reviews
Cisco Meraki Cloud Managed MS225-48LP - switch - 48 ports - managed - rack- is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Unacceptably loud The switch is great if you are nowhere near it like maybe in a data center. But if deployed in an office environment and your wiring closet is not sound proof then be prepared for some grief. We come from using Cisco 3750 POE switches which produce about 55 dB of noise. This Meraki one outputs 71 dB when idle and with no devices connected to it. I am not talking about the sound it makes when booting up (like a jet engine), I am talking about the sound it makes after settling down. I will probably not buy again for a small office. There are other Cisco offerings which are much quieter.
