Not great for business!
I use this scanner for my business. I have had to get a replacement under warranty in May 2024 and then had to get another replacement in July 2024. On top of that Brother's receiving department can't seem to find the returned machines, even though I have receipts and conformations they were received.

Works Great!
I got this for my fiancée and her new job. She's very old school and likes to write and highlight everything, so I thought this would help her out so she can scan her notes and then share them with colleagues and store them on her shared drive, keeping everything secure and digital for when she needs it. This will allow her to not have to carry a huge notebook with her when she travels to meet clients too.
Needless to say, it works better than expected and she loves it! The setup was quick and easy too.

Leave it to Brother to Ruin a simple Task
Brother managed to make scanning incredibly difficult.
1- The machine has quite a delay between pressing the "scan" button and actually sucking in the page and doing the scan process. In a busy office, this is QUITE a loss of precious time.
2- The software is very convoluted and unnecessary, other scanners have simple software. You press a button, it scans, a pop up comes and asks where you want to save the document, the name and so on. When you install brother's full package you get a bunch of software that is complex and with many useless options. Yet, it does not do the simple job.
I will likely be returning this product. Ridiculous to make scanning so complex when it literally needs ONLY 4 options.
a) Start Scanning
b) Where to save document
c) Name the document
d) Other options such as double sided vs single sided scan.
YIKESS.
