Product Reviews
Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 10reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by I use 3ds max for building out game ready high and low poly meshes. It is an excellent program for working with hard surface models. Even though i like Maya for modeling better. This program is excellent at what it does. I find it to be somewhat cumbersome at times and you can easily get lost in the technical aspects. September 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by We have began Beta testing this software for our main CAD engineers and they love how useful it is! Thanks a lot AutoDesk! April 27, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by I have used this program for some years and it's the best application for 2D/3D modeling. It's not so hard to use (compared with Maya for example) and the results are amazing. The UI is simple (although it might take some time until you get used to it) and the new camera additions are very neat. If you need to create a house, a vehicle, or why not, an ancient double handed sword, Autodesk 3Ds Max is the wright application for you. September 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for 3D design work. Modeling takes a bit of time to learn, but works well once you know how. September 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by I use 3ds max on a daily basis, mostly for architectural visualizations of everything from backyards to hydro power plants. It is a powerful piece of software especially when combined with numerous plugins, out of which my favorite is V-ray which enables a photorealistic rendering. It is important to mention that latest version of 3ds max is 2014, however it is widely known that the fastest and most usable version is 2009, which is also used by myself too. So, for 2009, five stars. Newer versions - star and a half less. December 26, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very powerful software but loses a star because I never could figure out how to do anything in it. Used it in high school and was completely and utterly lost and confused about how to do ANYTHING in it. But it's pretty powerful and cool what you can do with it. September 10, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Have used 3DS for a long time now and found it to be so versatile and flexible that I like working with it very much. I'm not a 3d expert but when some graphic development needs to be made in 3D modelling this is the way to go! April 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by If you are willing to take the time to learn it, this is one incredible piece of software! I have tried it out for a while, and can't see how anything else compares. August 21, 2012
