The reason I ordered Zagg's Pro Keys keyboard is because I'd had such good experience with Zagg's earlier keyboard/case for an older iPad: I wanted something of that Zagg quality for the new iPad I'm purchasing. I hope to receive the product I've already paid for about a month ago.

First one was sleek and light weight but worked like a cover to protect it. Now sure if magnets cause this to be heavy but does not sit well on lap and often falls out of case when adjusting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One stop off perfect The keypad and magnetic bluetooth connections make it very easy to turn an iPad into a laptop. The protective case being magnetic also helps to be able to use the iPad without having to transport the keyboard as well. I have a few issues with it though. The case makes the iPad extra heavy which isn’t great and it doesn’t quite wrap over the edges of the iPad like I would like it to. My other issue is that it doesn’t provide any protection for the Apple Pencil, meaning the tip of the pencil can get easily damaged. Besides those few little notes It is a really good case and I love the keyboard.

Only downsides - if keep attached with keyboard but using tablet just as tablet, it’s a bit clunky and awkward to put it in position where you don’t feel like you’ll break the keys Love it though, got one for my wife as well. She loves it !

I have to fold it and then reset it up or it flops backwards and flips out of the keypad. the back magnet could be stronger to prevent this from happening.

The magnets are fairly strong also, so everything stays together if I pick it up. Much better than the last one I had, where the keyboard either wouldn’t work at all or intermittently (and I could literally bend it without much effort). I would buy this Zagg keyboard case again.

The picture shown has not been able for me. I cannot get my iPad to sit on the case as shown in the picture.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't do without Coming from a Zagg Rugged Book case and keyboard on my previous iPad, the Pro Keys does not seem to be a ‘hardened' as the Rugged Book, Which is something i feel that i need as often as things slip out of my hand. But i am really liking the keyboard with the Pro Keys, and so far everything is as it should be. Fortunately i have not 'drop tested' the Pro Keys as yet.

It looks great, is slim yet protective, and the keyboard is wonderful - soft keys that are easy to use even for my large hands and fingers. The only downside for me is the inability of the case to stand up in all the ways that I prefer to use it. It works great if used on a hard surface like a countertop or desk, but using it it more relaxed places like a lap or firm couch pillow doesn't work so well. It falls and the folded part of the case for support is not thick enough or sturdy enough. That is not a fault of the case, but something to consider before purchasing.

The keyboard had two settings to lock your iPad at different angles and you don't have to worry it falling or disengaging from the unit (car traveling, using it while your on the toilet, etc.) .

Photo is somewhat misleading because it looks as if the case functions as some sort of elevated stand. It doesn't. The photo just shows the ipad being put on the case.

She says that it will not pair with her iPad, although she has followed all the troubleshooting guidelines, so I will need to exchange it for one that works. She says that she does like the design and build quality. Although the website refers to a "Customer Support Team," it does not offer any way to contact an actual support team, but instead directs me to return the keyboard to the warehouse at my own expense. It also does not explain how to request an exchange for defective item.

Just remove the iPad and lay it down over the keypad. Somewhere in the Zagg handbook there should be a note regarding this. This is the only negative I could find, keyboard is wonderful!!

Item arrived after she had left so returned without even opening. Customer services was appalling, impossible to track the delivery process etc. Save your time, don’t order a Zagg product.

The key size is fine and they require just the right amount of pressure to respond. No missed keystrokes with this one. Case offers good protection. I’m very pleased with another Zagg product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Some key functions don't work reliably The Pro Keys Keyboard and Case for Apple iPad work well for me as a case and basic keyboard, but the cursor keys for scanning through a page and the forward/reverse keys for video work only periodically. Very frustrating. I phoned customer service and the customer service rep was helpful and recommended I return my case for a replacement. I did this, but the replacement is only marginally better. The page cursor and video forward/reverse keys with the replacement case work about 35% of the time, as opposed to about 10% of the time with the first case. I'm not even bothering to return this second case for a replacement, and pay the required $9.99 for shipping, since I figure this issue is probably a design defect and I'll just encounter it again with subsequent replacements. If a reliable cursor key and forward/reverse key are important to you, this is not the case to buy.

It has all the functions I was looking for. Easily detachable iPad, Device protection and the keyboard reacted just as fast as my laptop keyboard does. I have been recommending this to colleagues. Save yourself money and invest in this case. It’s worth every penny

I do recommend that Zaggs choose a shipper which has better way-point updates than what happens at the Osseo, Minnesota, FedeX center. That's something a buyer might ask Zaggs to do....direct shipping so it doesn't go thru Osseo. Product wise, not sure I like the case buttons for on/off, and volume....rather just have an open slot so can directly touch iPad buttons.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the Keyboard and Case...but customer support was a mixed bag First off, I love the keyboard and case for my iPad 10.2 in display (9th Gen). The case is rugged and will protect the pad, and the keyboard has a perfect tactile feel as well as sufficient size to be comfortable typing on it. Now the downside...I ordered the case and keyboard along with a Zagg pencil on a Friday evening. All one order. And then the order sat...for days. I'm not sure what the issue was between Zagg and my bankcard, but the pending charge took forever to clear. Finally after two seperate calls to customer support, the pencil was added to my order and showed on my account and the charge for it was processed and then shipped. But nothing was happening on the case/keyboard. Another phone call to check...told it was working, but the bankcard still showed the charge as pending with no action. Zagg was aware of all of this. Finally after two weeks I was assisted by another customer rep who got a supervisor involved and after another 48 hours and one more call, the original order was cancelled and another keyboard/case was ordered and processed and then shipped with 2 day Fedex delivery (courtesy of Zagg.) I'm not sure where the breakdown was, but it was frustrating to have to have so many hiccups on this order. Again, I do love the quality and durability of the items, including the pencil. I just hope their order processing can improve in the future. Thank you.

It is sturdy and has all the features I was looking for: backlit keyboard, sturdy case, two different angles, and a spot for the Apple Pencil. It keeps its charge for a very long time, and seamlessly works with our iPad. My only complaint is that I wish their customer service was a little more user-friendly. I accidentally ordered two instead of one, and there was no way for me to fix the problem without having both of them delivered to my home, and then sending the extra one back to them. I was crossing my fingers that my return would actually get back to them and that they would deposit money into my account. It did and they did! Overall, I'm very satisfied. Just do yourself a favor and don't accidentally order an extra one.

First one arrived damaged, three keys were missing, returned it for a replacement and the second one they sent did not work. Would not hold a charge out of the box. I requested a refund after two defective keyboards. If that was not frustrating enough, I had to pay the cost to ship the second defective keyboard back to ZAGG ($15). They did provide me with a gift card to off-set shipping charges . Very bad experience with these products. I found a better keyboard on Amazon for a quarter of the price that worked perfectly out of the box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clever design and superb build quality. After purchasing a new iPad I was looking for a case/keyboard solution to offer maximum flexibility. The Apple Pro Keys option is very expensive for what it is, but having stumbled on the Zagg alternative I decided to give it a shot. The reviews were good and after buying in the January Sale it was a bit of a bargain too. Overall, I'm really impressed. The build quality is fantastic and the layout is very well thought through. The flexible design means you can detach the screen from the keyboard and the magnetic closures all work really well. The keyboard turning itself on when you open the case is a nice touch too. The backlighting and ability to change the colours is another nice feature. The backlighting could be a little brighter as it's tricky to see from some angles but this is a really minor complaint. It also feels incredibly tough and will certainly offer a huge amount of protection should you accidentally drop it. The downside of this is that it's relatively heavy. I can't imagine any keyboard case would be lightweight though and even if it was, it would be incredibly flimsy which this definitely isn't. Overall, I'm really pleased and am hoping the excellent build quality will mean I'll be using this for years to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I still don't have the case. Can't help but notice the Zagg support provides a list of FAQs, but limits ability for direct support. You need to know that FedEx has been running sub-par, and currently a product shipped 1/13 has not yet arrived on 1/31. I'm sure the case will be great. 1 star is to trigger a review to suggest shipping your shipping handlers. This predates any Nor'easter concern by a few weeks if shipped according to schedule.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very dissapointed Immediately after ordering a keypad/cover for my IPAD I realized that I ordered the wrong one. I called customer service immediately to make a correction. I was told that they could not change the order nor could they cancel it. Furthermore, I would have to pay for return shipping. And I should be sure to have delivery of receipt. It cost me $16 to ship it back because the company does not have the technology to update an order. That would be 15% of the cost of the keyboard. I won't be ordering the correct model from them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good not perfect Really fantastic case/keyboard, the case feels secure yet lightweight, the keyboard makes it feel like a laptop (The keyboard itself is fairly heavy but I’m fine with that). The issue is the buttons, mainly the volume button on the case is a serious design flaw. The case design has those rubbery buttons over top of the Lock Screen and volume and the volume button doesn’t actually make contact with the tablet. If you have the tablet in the case, which you need to use the keyboard, you really have to jam your finger into the button to an almost painful degree, which makes it basically inoperable. The best solution is seriously to just take a knife and cut out the volume buttons so the area is open. It’s not a massive issue since the keyboard itself has a volume button, and you can always swipe down to use the iPad volume slide. It’s a manageable flaw in an otherwise perfect product

I don’t always feel the tablet is completely sturdy in the magnetic slots, almost like it is too top heavy. I notice that mostly when the device is sitting on my lap. I loved my older version better, but this works and I got it at a great price. Plus, Zagg has a great warranty replacement program and customer service has always been great to work with.

The pictures on the box and on the website indicate that it will, but it doesn’t. The pictures are very misleading and I expect better from a company like Zagg.

The reason I ordered Zagg's Pro Keys keyboard is because I’d had such good experience with Zagg’s earlier keyboard/case for an older iPad: I wanted something of that Zagg quality for the new iPad I’m purchasing. I hope to receive the product I've already paid for about a month ago.

Wish directions were a little better on how to hot key through the options and what the symbols mean. But playing with it for a few days everything is already second nature. So much better than carrying a full laptop.

I don’t miss a trackpad at all. The case is a bit heavy but since the iPad is easily detached, it isn’t issue. The adjustable support stand works really well, even on your lap. Fully recommended.

I immediately dried it and blew it out with compressed air. Now certain keys do not work and the delete key for instance causes a delete then forward slash.

I love that it will pair with both my iPhone and iPad and also has a perfect Place for the Apple Pencil. This case is superior when compared to other cases.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost Perfect The Zagg Pro Keys Keyboard for my iPad 8 is almost perfect. I considered giving it 4 stars but I think 3 is more in line with the fact that the volume buttons don’t really work unless you use a fingernail and press REALLY hard in just the right spot. And by doing that the volume either zooms past where you want it or only budges a small amount. the problem is the plastic nubs inside the case don’t make positive contact with the actual volume controls. I’m going to see if I can somehow fix this but it’s really annoying. Two stars worth.

The keys are a good size for my fingers and feel nice, I like that the two stand slots are magnetic, and that I can still charge my Apple Pencil when it’s connected to the case. Also, I bought the wrong size case at first and the return/exchange went very smoothly!

She says that it will not pair with her iPad, although she has followed all the troubleshooting guidelines, so I will need to exchange it for one that works. She says that she does like the design and build quality. Although the website refers to a "Customer Support Team," it does not offer any way to contact an actual support team, but instead directs me to return the keyboard to the warehouse at my own expense. It also does not explain how to request an exchange for defective item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can’t do without Coming from a Zagg Rugged Book case and keyboard on my previous iPad, the Pro Keys does not seem to be a ‘hardened’ as the Rugged Book, Which is something i feel that i need as often as things slip out of my hand. But i am really liking the keyboard with the Pro Keys, and so far everything is as it should be. Fortunately i have not 'drop tested’ the Pro Keys as yet.

There are too many parts, the case is flimsy on the keyboard side, the magnets are annoying when trying to close it after using the ipad., the backlit keys do not work except for the on/off switch. It is a waste of my money. I will be returning it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like the Pro Keys Keyboard product quite a bit…. What didn’t work was ordering it via the Zagg website. I got a confirmation of the order on the credit card and an email from Zagg. About a week later, I checked the order number from ZAGG and they said there was no order listed. I tried again a week later, with the same result, not a valid order number. So I bought another one from a different store. About three days later, one showed up on my front door, apparently the links from the ZAGG website or the form I was filling out weren’t working properly. So I had to pay $15 to send it back to Zagg. However, I do like the product and I recommend it. It has a rechargeable battery in the keyboard, rather than having to replace the battery as with some keyboards. The keyboard is lit which is really helpful in low light conditions. There’s a good feel to the keyboards, so it’s really easy to type on. There are also some function keys that allow display options without having to touch the screen and have to reposition your hands. The case allows for several different screen positions for viewing the iPad. The keyboard is magnetically connected to the case, and can be disconnected easily. But it also has a magnetic strap that wraps around the case, holding it secure for moving in and out of a backpack while in the field. This has been my favorite iPad case that I’ve used to date.

I find the magnetic attachment can interfere with closing IPad. Case can be unstable when on lap. Brighter keyboard back lighting would be a plus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy Duty. Too heavy duty. I used to have an iPad Pro and Smart Keyboard for work and wanted something similar for my iPad 8 and found this highly recommended keyboard. Really it is a keyboard case. The keyboard is actually great, but the whole contraption makes the ipad so heavy I might as well carry my laptop. It also makes the iPad so big it doesn’t fit into my shoulder bag. So, sadly it doesn’t work for me. I ordered a used Smart Keyboard on eBay and hope that works for me. Using the Zagg for now, but not taking the ipad anywhere.
