Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great so far I really like it. Build quality is great, it is built like a tank but still fairly thin and light. Battery life is 4-8 hours depending on use. Performance seems good so far, it's always pretty snappy. The 2-in-1 folding is a little gimmicky, but I just don't have much reason to fold it - if I needed a 16" tablet, I would reach for this in a heartbeat. If you're watching videos you can fold it into an arch so you only see the screen, which is kind of cool, but again more of a gimmick than anything. Speaking of the 16" screen, that little bit of extra vertical resolution on the 16:10 screen is great, and the screen is bright and vibrant for my uses. Touchscreen works great as well, though I had to turn down the PCI timeouts in advanced power settings to stop the touch input from going to sleep on me.

Battery life is fair, can last for a 3 hours online conference course unplugged. One drawback is the pen holder doesn't fit properly into the usb-a port. As such, the pen is dangling and might easily be lost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great productivity system I wanted a wide-screen machine both for writing and programming; I like 2-in-1s because I often use a machine in tent mode with an external mech keyboard. This machine doesn't disappoint; the FHD display is quite usable, and, although I haven't measured battery life, it's certainly decent. For its size, it's still quite light. Construction quality seems quite solid. I replaced Windows with Ubuntu 24.10. Installation went very smoothly, and I've been very happy with its performance. If you're looking for a high-performance machine or a media powerhouse, maybe this might not be your first choice. But I've found the Yoga 7i 2-in-1 to be an excellent prouctivity machine, and look forward to using it extensvely over the years to come.

I am very happy with build quality, the display color is very nice, thin and light weight, love the thumb scan as 2nd factor authentication when you log in to secure web site or pay money. The only drawback is 16GB or RAM is a bit low. I use it for music editing with a DAW and so far not seeing any issues, so hope 16GB is sufficient in the years to come.

If you want light weighted, then think pad/ microsoft surface pro is best but little expensive 3. Got additional pen for screen drawing. It's multi purpose. Can be used in pointing out/ handwriting while video meetings and interviews to express ideas. 4. Value for money with discounted price. But for full price 1600 cad, there are better options for more sturdiness. 5. Metal body.. Not sure of static electricity.. not encountered till yet.But something to consider and check.(@LENOVO can comment) 6. Because of heavy weight? Sometimes it feels to handle with care while 360 degree rotation of screen. 7. Processor wise, not encountered any issue.

The trackpad is responsive and straightforward. The pen is game-changing for completing group tasks for my university coursework. And turning the keyboard all the way around (or almost all the way around) to use it as a tablet is amazing. This is the the best in a long line of Lenovo devices I've used over the years, and easily the best.

It later dropped to ~970. I reached out to the customer service. But they were asking me for the order receipt. I gave it to them. They said I haven’t paid 1050 (i had a student discount and some lenovo rewards). I told them if I buy it now I would still be able to use the student discount and the lenovo rewards. The customer service representative told me to add the laptop to my Cart and show them. Mysteriously I couldn’t add it to my cart (i Was able to before talking to the agent. I was massively disappointed.

I only bought it while it was on promotion and using a cash back app (that Lenovo didn't acknowledge, so I didn't get the cash back). Might return, might not. Its a bit more powerful than my $800 lenovo that I bought about 4 years ago but not much more powerful at this point.

Happy with my purchase so far! One watch out, if you do order more than one item at the same time for home delivery - sign off is only included on one package; I received my laptop dropped on my front porch without signature, thankfully I was home. The computer pouch however, I was required to sign for.

I had to ship it to their repair depot. The whole process was quite fast. Don't make a help ticket through Lenovo Vantage, that doesn't do anything. Call their tech support directly. I got the box to ship my laptop a few days later and it took 7 days between me sending it in and getting it back.

No idea if this impacted the functioning but I currently have issues with the screen locking up on me consistently. I have to control-alt-delete to get out of it. Software updates have been made, so I have no idea what the root cause of this malfunction is. I am considering contacting Lenovo about warranty replacement.

The fingerprint scanner is about 85% accurate/usable comepared to the Dell’s 97%. For being a 16” unit, the build is pretty slim and still gives me ports that the Dell lacked. Two usb-c’s, regular USB, full size HDMI and a SD card slot (Dell only had two USB-C’s). It has the chops to run 3 additional screens (through my docking hub) and large plans with ease (fan does kick up a bit to process). When I have multiple world view webcams up on top of some processing needs, this is where it gets a little hung up, compared to my Dell. Speakers sound great, camera looks decent and the OLED display looks great with its deep blacks, giving you great contrast and depth. The included smart pen is accurate, but the side of my left hand causes some issues. This might be setup issue that I need to figure out. All in all, I would buy again, however might of went with the 14” vs 16” for the sake of portability and not taking a bunch of space.

That system would BSOD every day but not this system. It has been running rock solid since I got it one month ago. It does not remember passwords, even with a fingerprint option as described. This has been very disappointing as I have to re-enter the password again and again. Overall, I would never buy this unit. I had to re-order and repay for the computer as Lenovo lost my first order and would not refund me I had to re-purchase the computer in 60 days later, I have still not been reimbursed for the original purchase. The customer service line was very unhelpful. They could not come up with any solutions and could not change the delivery address even though I had already taken two days off of work to wait for the computer so I could sign for it. I don’t plan on ever buying a Lenovo again

That turned out to lead to my first motherboard failure. I have never had a motherboard failure with Lenovo. So I decided to return to Lenovo for a trustworthy laptop. I ordered my laptop online. Then I noticed I could have applied a discount. I called the company. They got everything sorted out, even though it cost them extra shipping and handling (I feel sorry about that, but I am very grateful). The laptop came THE NEXT DAY! I couldn't believe how quickly it came. It sure made my computer woes much easier to handle since I could get right back to work. The only thing that is taking an adjustment is the keyboard. It doesn't have the easily accessible Home and End keys. You have to press Fn to use them, I believe. Anyway, that's a minor inconvenience. I learned my lesson. I doubt I will buy a laptop from a different company again.

The camera quality and sound from the speakers were poor, however after a camera update, the quality got a little better, not so much for the speakers. The biggest issue I had after just a few days was that the laptop screen would just go black for no reason and a few minutes later it would come back on. I also experienced the laptop shutting down on its own. I was still within the return window so it went back. I had gone back to Microsoft, but their customer service is non-existent, so I decided to purchase the Yoga Slim 7x. So if anything, customer service is exceptional and I can't wait to try out the 7x.

It does have a couple of drawbacks. 1. is it is much heavier than expected. 2. while I like the edgeless screen, the customer had difficulty initially using the touch screen as they would place their hand on the edge to steady themselves to touch where they wanted. This would be picked up by the touch sensor and create a difficultly in using the touch function. While this is more a user error, the fact that the sensor picked up the touch near the edge could be problematic.

I love the option to limit battery charge to 80%.. preventing battery degradation that happen at high charge, wish there was an option to limit to 70%.. Many built in features & useful Lenovo app Cons No right click button (there’s a “copilot” button.. Microsoft’s AI. instead I’m sure they pay Lenovo to include it.. but what if consumers would rather have the right click button?) There are Mouse issues ( pointer jumps back & forth on the screen) When using external HDMI display.. to fix it you have physically open the laptop screen, then close it again. Only then does the more jumping go away on the HDMI display. . These are small issues. I still really love this laptop

The numbers pad did not work and the tracking pad was very inaccurate. I called the help desk thinking that perhaps there was a button I needed to press to activate/adjust these things... that was a futile experience... a waste of time. It was quite frustrating to deal with someone who you hardly could understand and who was obviously reading a manual, not understanding what she was reading. I am returning the computer. PS. Also, I'm overwhelmed by the amount of junk emails I receive from Lenovo! Please STOP. I've unsubsubscribed but there continue... buy, buy, buy. No thanks!

I especially like the dual USB ports on the side, since it will make it easier to simultaneously manage two drives instead of having to plug in a USB splitter to do so. The design is sleek and not bulky, allowing for the computer to be slipped into a backpack compartment without it being obtrusive. There are two USB-C ports on the other side, so one can charge and computer and plug in another drive or external device without having to worry over which to prioritize first. The main issue I have is with the keyboard. I would much prefer two CTRL keys instead of having a dedicated Copilot button since I have never needed to use Copilot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solidly built 2-in-1 A nice laptop. I like the 2-in-1 feature. It's heavier than our previous Yoga that was the same form factor and specs, though. Screen is nice but could be brighter. I do like the inclusion of both thunderbolt and HDMI for video output. The mini-SD card port is also nice, though I would have preferred a full-size slot.

It works great, but I'm bit biased because I've always owned a Lenovo for personal use and have only used ThinkPads at work. I have only one gripe-- it was heavier than I was expecting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lenovo purchase experience Customer service and the purchase experience were absolutely crazy. Checkout wasn't working accurately, and the Cyber Monday discount never worked. After 2days of trying i end up overpaying. The email showed it would be delivered by 12/10, it never showed up. 3 weeks later someone brought the box and left it by the door. This is over $800. The purchase was left at the wrong address, even though a signature was required. Now, when I finally received my purchase, I didn't have the MS Office that I paid for. Hopefully, I won't have to spend days now with CS on the phone again.

It does have a couple of drawbacks. 1. is it is much heavier than expected. 2. while I like the edgeless screen, the customer had difficulty initially using the touch screen as they would place their hand on the edge to steady themselves to touch where they wanted. This would be picked up by the touch sensor and create a difficultly in using the touch function. While this is more a user error, the fact that the sensor picked up the touch near the edge could be problematic.

Not sure if I set it up correctly, the first days it would warm up pretty quickly but now not so much. The battery life is pretty solid. I have noticed that it runs slow sometimes, not sure what’s up with that. The touchscreen feature is what made me intrigued. The 180 flip feature is definitely nice to watch movies on. I wouldn’t recommend the 16’ for college as it looks like a PC monitor and is a bit heavy but nonetheless works fine.

I received my new Yoga 7I and it was going smoothly for about an hour. Suddenly the keyboard just stopped working!! I tried to get help and was told that they were emailing me a link to help. It never arrived.

This is an easy upgrade, as I love having a touchscreen when needed, but using it as a media PC for the living room works out great the rest of the time.

The Yoga 7i only has an Intel i5 in it, so it isn't the most powerful laptop, but it was the only offering in the Yoga series with a 16' screen. I use it for engineering work mostly - Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Excel, SKM - and some light GoPro video editing. I travel a lot for my work and it is a great travel companion for the jobsite or entertainment in my hotel room. The tablet feature on a 16" screen can be cumbersome, but trying to look at engineered drawings on anything smaller is a pain.

I looked around for something that had a compact and light frame. While I love tablets, I wanted a physical keyboard too. When I found the Yoga, I knew I had to try it. So far, so good! The traditional laptop works great for most uses. But when I want to just use this like a tablet, I can! Extra bonus with the stylus! Thanks Lenovo!

It was sent in error to the post office box here in San Andreas as we do not receive mail delivered to street addresses. I am very pleased with my purchase. The features are exactly as described and allow for versatility with the touchscreen and pen. It was easy to setup and came preloaded with everything I needed. The 16 inch screen is crystal clear and easy to read. The keypad is large enough for my comfort. It is very lightweight and easy to move from one space to another. Unlike other laptops I looked at, there are ample ports to accommodate plugins. Content loads quickly. Price point is reasonable. I highly recommend!

The keyboard features can be better as well as the screen. The delivery made by UPS was not perfect but the online purchase support was excellent.

I upgraded from an older yoga and i love the battery life. It is a bit heavier than my older 14" yoga but the larger dcreen is a good trade off.

Movement of the screen was smooth with enough tension to hold positions. Fingerprint scanner is a nice feature as well. Battery and storage is good too. Everything is working so well right now! Just need to buy a case for it now. Such a good buy!

I was amazed with the overall performance and usability of the device. I used the device on the plane to stream movies to a brilliant screen, connected it via HDMI to the TV in the room to stream movies, and even balanced my checkbook in Quicken. The only feature I didn't attempt that was a motivator for the device replacements was to use device as an eReader to read Kindle books. Overall, this purchase was to replace a laptop and a tablet. Other than the weight which was heavier than the sum of the two devices it replaced, the device was a dream.

I bought a more expensive Lenovo, but notice that MS office, Photo shop elements and other aps we both use seem to run just fine on the Yoga. It runs nice and cool, boots up fast, and has a nice keyboard, with a very sharp 16 inch screen. Knocking it a star because she can't get the touch-pen working, which is sort of a major reason we bought the Yoga for her.
